1999 GMC 4X4 Suburban SLT. Classic Craft Conversion. K1500 4WD 5.7L. My dad's "winter" suburban. Just lost Dad two weeks ago and want to sell his extra suburban. Clear, clean title in hand. Just picked it up from repair shop and paid $2,700 for repairs Dad authorized to get it winter ready. He had always maintained his vehicles so they would run forever. Some of these repairs include: battery, brake job front and RR including new lines, RR wheel cylinders., new RR Diff cover. all U joints. Tune up including plugs, wires, cap. Some rust, but body is in good shape. Interior needs cleaning and has normal wear and tear. Runs, rides and drives perfectly. New Michelins with less that 2K. This is a ¾ ton 2wd truck with heavy duty tow package 7.4l Vortec V8 L29 engine. Surely there aren't too many out there in this kind of original condition with these miles! Just had it fully serviced with new intake manifold gasket, oil return lines freshened up, new front brakes, coolant flushed, new oil pressure sender and , oil change and other misc service. Thank you Pete 949 – 2 8 5 – 8 0 1 1 Exterior wise, the Emerald Green Metallic paint looks to be all original and is in excellent shape. Has a few minor bumps and bruises but nothing major in my opinion. Condition of the paint overall is about an 8, very shiney and clean looking vehicle. Has a medium dent behind passenger side turn signal, a few small misc scratches which I point out in my video above. Overall I think the truck looks excellent. It's all stock and never modified. Has Tow package with ball and hitch. This is of course the 2500 model which can really pull a load if needed with the big engine. The interior is in beautiful shape, this is a well cared for vehicle, never smoked in and non pet owner. This is the SLT version which came with leather seating and all the options including optional 3rd row seating! The passenger side lower seat cushion has a wear hole from getting in and out and driver side has a small pencil sized hole. All other seats look new and carpeting looks excellent with no holes. Has third row seating in excellent shape. Headliner looks excellent as well as steering wheel and all plastic buttons and switches on the dash panel. Dash board is excellent, no cracks! Door panels in good shape, has power windows, door locks, mirrors and keyless entry with alarm. Has 2 fobs, 2 factory keys and all original owners manuals. Mechanically, I had the truck fully inspected and serviced last week for any unseen issues. I had the intake manifold gasket changed, a weeping oil line, front brake pads, coolant flush and a new hose, oil pressure sender and oil change. Spent about $1600. Engine runs excellent and has lots of power, with only 85k miles this will run for years to come! Transmission is the heavier duty 4 speed 4L80 which came on the 2500 model, it shifts smooth and on point. Brakes up front new and rears over 50%. Tires around 70% all around and matching. Has a few minor bumps and bruises but nothing major in my opinion. Condition of the paint overall is about an 8, very shiney and clean looking vehicle. Has a medium dent behind passenger side turn signal, a few small misc scratches which I point out in my video above. Overall I think the truck looks excellent. It's all stock and never modified. Has Tow package with ball and hitch. This is of course the 2500 model which can really pull a load if needed with the big engine. The interior is in beautiful shape, this is a well cared for vehicle, never smoked in and non pet owner. This is the SLT version which came with leather seating and all the options including optional 3rd row seating! The passenger side lower seat cushion has a wear hole from getting in and out and driver side has a small pencil sized hole. All other seats look new and carpeting looks excellent with no holes. Has third row seating in excellent shape. Headliner looks excellent as well as steering wheel and all plastic buttons and switches on the dash panel. Dash board is excellent, no cracks! Door panels in good shape, has power windows, door locks, mirrors and keyless entry with alarm. Has 2 fobs, 2 factory keys and all original owners manuals. I ALSO INSTALLED 8 NEW 40HP INJECTORS, 8 NEW GLOW PLUGS, A #9 RESISTOR, NEW REAR BRAKES, AXLE SEALS, AND E-BRAKE CABLES. IT HAS A MANUAL BOOST CONTROL, A BOOST GUAGE, A PYROMETER,AND A PDM COOLER RELOCATOR. THIS TRUCK RUNS GREAT, AND STARTS ON THE COLDEST DAYS. THE BODY IS VERY NICE. This is one rare suburban with a great list of RPO codes! Feel free to look them up by VIN#... Stock powered tow mirrors, overhead cab running lights, 4.10 gears, push button 4x4... this thing is ready to haul whatever you've got, in any weather! I purchased the truck last year in CT with 158k miles and drove it back to Colorado without any issues. I'm sure there are some things I'm forgetting about. This truck is almost 100% top running shape. It can benefit from the following.... Looking at a 99 GMC K1500 Suburban SLT with 141K miles. I have owned this vehicle last few years and have done a lot of work to it. Truck starts right up and runs/drives good, just passed Mass inspection in September. It does need a few things but nothing major. Has every option that was available in 99. Truck has a vortec 5.7 with recent heads, rebuilt auto trans, push button transfer case and the G80 traction lock rear end. Lots of work and parts replaced in last couple years: -Rebuilt cylinder heads with slightly stiffer Lt1 springs -New head gaskets and all related gaskets to do the job -New stock LT1 cam (same unit they used in Implala SS's - basically the same as the stock vortec 5.7 cam) -Any lifter that showed wear was replaced (three of them if I remember)\ -New timing chain set -New Water Pump -Updated Delphi Fuel injection unit to replace stock 'spider' injection unit (the delphi has 8 actual injectors and not the poppet injectors) -New Billet Distributor with cap, wires, and spark plugs -New ignition control module -New carter fuel pump -New Magnaflow H pipe and catalytic converters -All 02 sensors replaced -Rebuilt 4L60E trans with new torque converter (probably 15k on them) -TCI Shift Boss trans controller (lets you pick pressure and monitors trans temp) -Just replaced both front interior door handles -New crank sensor -New alternator New high pressure power steering hose I was planning on keeping this awhile so I was maintaining it as such but plans have changed and I no longer need it and the wife doesnt want to gas it anymore so its time to go. Gets good mileage for what it is if you drive with a light foot (good for a 99 suburban). Truck runs/drives and is dependable. The truck has little to no rust, body is solid and all doors are solid, only real rust is the rear bumper which is common on these but the body is solid. Body has some small dents, drivers seat has a tear but it has seat covers. Interior could use a good cleaning. All power windows and locks work. AC does not. Truck has magnaflow mufflers too which are a little loud for some and not for others. It does have an aftermarket DVD player and screen - I never use it This truck does need a little - you can fix or just drive it as is. This is a list of everything I would fix if I was going to keep driving it: - front door pins/bushings (the driver side really - I will include them with truck - haven't had a chance to change them) - I would get it aligned, drives straight but the steering wheel is a little off center - the driver side tail pipe needs a short section of pipe replaced that goes over rear axle - windshield wiper blades -sometimes the CEL comes and its always a P0440 evap leak.. clearing it goes away (like a loose gas cap or something) I have much more in parts cost alone in last couple years then my asking price! This is a good truck that needs a new home.
