My daughter has put over 20k trouble free miles on this one and it has been one great van! This van was a joint venture between Nissan and Mercury this is same basic van as a Nissan Quest! It has Nissan 3.3L V6 and automatic overdrive transmission drive line. Timing belt and water pump were done approx 25k ago as we learned. This one has lots of nice features like dual power seats, memory seat, auto lamp headlights, cold dual ac and hot heat systems, quad captians chairs with sliding seat track system, full power, tilt/cruise, 16 inch alloys, dual sliding doors, tinted glass, homelink system with voice recorder, am/fm-cass with cd ready cap and leather wrapped steering wheel with radio controls and much more! We have changes oil approx every 3k and just had oil and filter and new front brake pads done and just passed Ga's strict emissions so your good to go there! In and out its in pretty good shape and still presents very decent with a few dings and pings, nicks and scratches here and there! The new owner should be very happy with this one as we have been! RECENTLY REPLACED ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ALONG WITH most of the front end for good measure :). (New tie rods, bushings, ball joints, and CV Joint). Previous to this, the car had been well-maintained and I still hold many of the service records. For a car of this age, the body is in great shape and drives very well. The AC blows cold and virtually all of the luxury features are in good working order. It has been in the family since 50k miles and spent a majority of that time in a garage. The interior is clean and this car has NEVER BEEN SMOKED IN. For those that aren't familiar with this particular vehicle, it was a joint venture by Mercury and Nissan. Most of the mechanics are a Nissan Quest with the highest end, luxury Mercury trim package which includes: LEATHER, , Memory seats, Heated Mirrors, Power Seats and Windows/Locks, Cruise, Dual Air bags, Adjustable/ Multifolding rear couch, removable middle seats, Multi-zone A/C, Roof rack, seating for 7, and towing hitch. Nissan Quests of this era had a magnificent reputation for being cars that were great to drive and would run forever. I used to work for a Nissan Dealership in the mid to late 2000s and not only did the Quest's owners tell us how wonderful that they were (as we had many Quests that would drive in with over 300k miles), we could never keep them on the lot! I am the second owner. The first was a Bay Area physician. This is a well-treated van with clean interior, original paint (a couple dings) and engine that runs great. No leaks. Mileage is 24 per gallon highway, 18 city. Tranny shifts smooth. Carpeting very clean. Original leather front seats were in poor shape, so I changed them out for a very nice pair of fabric seats from another Villager. Leather seats remain in the rear. In all candor, she feels like a vehicle maybe 7 years old. Drives more quietly and smoothly than my two 1999 Villagers. One of them has higher miles, the other lower. Sails through California smog certification. If unfamiliar with the Villager (a Nissan Quest clone, though superior because of the digital dash added by Ford), these babies drive like small cars, tight maneuvering and a turn radius that kicks the snot out of my Dodge Caravan. Unlike ALL other minivans, the rear window opens. Unlike all other 1990s minivans except the Caravan through 1995, the side windows crack open and do so manually (no power required). That means if parked during the summer and not driving, one can open those windows by hand during the day. PS: I always try parking in the shade and nearly always manage to find some despite needing to then walk further to the store or wherever. The Mercury Villager is a largely hidden jewel in the world of minivans. Far superior to the Toyota Sienna of those years. It beat the Dodge Caravan because of offering a sunroof and opening rear window. Ford vans of that time were not worth comparing. Nissan had the Quest, though with no digital dash and included computer information center (outside temp, mpg, miles till empty, etc). Some people like myself will drive hundreds of miles to find a luxury edition model that has been treated right. So I figured on trying an eBay listing to let those reasonably nearby know that one is on the market.
