Did you not give or receive that little red convertible for Christmas? Well, here’s your chance. I am selling my 2000 BMW 323ci. I bought this car a little over a year ago, but it’s just not big enough for the weekend trips we’d planned to use it for. I’ve since purchased a midsized SUV, so this little red baby has to go. I purchased it from the 2nd owner and know most of its history. It’s always been garaged, well serviced and is in great shape. Since I’ve owned it, I’ve upgraded the head lights and driving lights, had the windows tinted, replaced a noisy serpentine belt tensioner, along with general maintenance, including just changing the oil. I also upgraded the ‘infotainment center’ to an Android stereo with Blue Tooth phone and streaming, DVD, backup camera, navigation, etc. This upgrade was huge and really made the car much more modern. Stock features on the car include automatic 5 speed transmission with drive, sport and manual modes; 2.5 liter straight six, key-remote lock/unlock, power/heated seats, driver’s side seat memory, power windows and mirrors, AC, tilt and collapsing steering wheel, tool kit, etc. The tires are on in good shape and still have plenty of miles on them. This car drives like a dream, is very quick in traffic and does great with fuel – up to 24 MPG. The top and interior are in great shape. There are no dents or scratches, but it does have the usual paint chips due to normal driving conditions. It’s not a new car, but it’s in great shape for what it is. My dad bought this car a couple years back for work and it was running smooth after the engine replacement before the transmission started to fail. After having spent over $2000 to replace the engine my dad was unwilling to spend another $2-3000 to fix the transmission so we decided to sell it. As stated previously:- Original paint, but some chipping and maybe a few scratches due to age (mainly rear bumper); - No accidents; - Replaced engine about 1.5 years ago (according to mechanic, he got one that had 70,000ish miles on it, so it effectively has only about 100,000ish miles on it; I have no way to prove the mileage however); - MAJOR transmission issues, can go in reverse but NOT forward; - There's a ~5x3in tear on side of drivers seat;- A/C still works but am unsure as to effectiveness so might need to check on that; - Passed smog check Fall of 2013, should still be good for another several months; - Break pads and tires should be inspected, unsure of life remaining; - Sunroof works but gets stuck sometimes; - Power lock and windows work flawlessly;- Dashboard light for RIGHT headlight remains on (as you can see in the picture), both headlights work fine however; - Recently changed oil, good for about another 3000 miles before needing another oil change- Clean title in hand; Shipping and Payment:Shipping is going to be the buyer's responsibility.
