But, with whitewalls and all that chrome, it's easy to forget that these cars were once feared track warriors. By ushering in Chevrolet's legendary small block they established the concept of an American sports car and single-handedly created the foundation for a 60-year legacy of world-class performance. This C1 pays tribute to its heritage by seating a cutting edge V8 in a roster of competent mechanicals and wrapping everything in rich pigment that re-emphasizes already iconic lines. If you're ready to see the USA in a well-rounded Chevrolet, take a closer look at this sweet pro-tourer! BODYWORK/TRIM Stripped all the way down to glass, this contoured roadster's curvaceous body was massaged back to life in the summer of 2011. Like most C1s, the car was originally assembled at GM's new-for-1954 St. Louis manufacturing facility. And, like most restored C1s, its fit and finish presents much better now than it did 53 years ago. In fact, judging by the looks of this Chevy's smooth fuselage, there's no evidence it has ever seen any kind of catastrophic damage. And today, layered in dynamic Porsche GT Silver, the car rolls as one very cool classic that, thanks to its hot drivetrain, can be proudly shown and reliably driven day in and day out. 1958 to 1962 was a banner era for the Corvette, as Chevrolet wanted to prove its new flagship could run with the best cars in the world while retaining classic style that would eventually bear an American icon. At the front of this polished and refinished drop-top, a blackened grille rides between chrome-trimmed headlights, a de-lettered header panel and chrome-trimmed parking lamps. In front of that grille, an intricate bumper bends around cross-flag-branded fenders that are detailed with finned cove inserts. Between those fenders, a sculpted hood leads the eye to polished RainGear wipers, classy wraparound glass and your choice of either a contrasting cloth roof or color-keyed hardtop. At the back of that hood, mirrorless doors found traditional chrome handles. And at the back of those doors, a sculpted 'boat tail' decklid hangs a classy Corvette roundel above a chrome tag bracket, familiar Corvette taillights, chrome bumpers and bold, center-outlet exhaust tips. ENGINE The base model Vette has always been a highly competent, ready-made package. In the mid-'60s, the car's go-to mill was GM's 327 cubic inch L30 small block. And in the late-2000s, the car's go-to mill was GM's 6.2 liter Generation IV V8. That said; it doesn't seem unnatural that this roadster's classic hood veils a hot GM Performance Parts LS376. One of the most well rounded conversions GMPP offers, the generation IV LS376 utilizes aluminum construction, high flow heads and a racing-inspired Hot Cam to mix hours of thrills with miles of impressive fuel economy. And, churning stout 10.7 to 1 compression into 480 horsepower and 475 lb./ft. of broad torque, this Chevy's smooth-revving engine is certainly no slouch in the performance department! The general's familiar fuel rail covers sport clean "CORVETTE LS3" graphics, which complement mirrored lettering with vivid red outlining stripes. Polished serpentine components spin a polished alternator and Classic Auto Air conditioning opposite modern power steering. Polished air tubes terminate in big Spectre filter elements. There's a polished aluminum radiator that's fitted with an efficient puller fan. A full outfit of stainless hardware combines with GM plug wires, a Delco yellow cap battery and ceramic-coated Rewarder headers to detail an otherwise purpose-built performer. And, as you would expect, the car's tidy engine bay is an excellent mixture of glossy silver pigment and factory matte hardware. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION With that kind of power on tap, it should come as no surprise that the bottom of this Corvette features a host of noteworthy upgrades. Behind the raucous engine, a proven Tremec TKO600 5-speed twists torque to a familiar Dana 44 that's fitted with stout 3.50 gears. That rear end, like the car's engine, rides on a fourth generation Corvette suspension, which is bolted to a high quality Street Shop chassis. Stops are provided by fourth generation Corvette calipers, which squeeze four drilled and slotted rotors. Turns come courtesy of power rack-and-pinion steering that, when combined with the car's upgraded chassis and serious disc brakes, provides modern feel and great performance. Spent gases roar through 2.5-inch pipes to polished Magnaflow mufflers. Power meets the pavement through forged Boze Boosts, which spin 225/55R17 BF Goodrich Traction T/As around highly polished spokes. And everything, from the car's clean, Satin Black floors to its Rock Valley stainless fuel tank, is expertly finished, well detailed and ready for action. INTERIOR Inside this silky drop-top you'll find a red-hot Al Knoch interior. Plump leather seats are comfortable and well formed. In front of those seats, a color-keyed dash hangs rebuilt gauges between controls for the aforementioned air conditioning, a vintage Wonder Bar radio and a small rearview mirror. At the base of that dash, high quality carpet makes a perfect plane for a factory-spec shifter. At the edge of that carpet, Al Knoch door panels hang fresh hardware and low-mounted armrests behind stainless-trimmed kick panels. In front of the driver, a reduced diameter steering wheel spins a wrapped rim around a stainless Flaming River column and polished cross-flag horn button. And behind the passengers, a fully finished trunk features matching leather and carpet. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONA few restoration photosSome build receiptsA small stack of component paperwork Thanks to the Corvette's virtually unmatched popularity the market is full of great C1s. But this roadster manages a near perfect balance of road-going prowess and show-stopping aesthetics. Don't waste six figures and three years trying to build a classic this nice. But, as you'll see, the results are definitely worth the $150K it required to finish this amazing car, as few C2s possess its combination of sheer performance and classic style. Ready for a first class build that combines everything great about the storied Sting Ray with technology that's more akin to a modern Z51? Here it is! Logging only sunny summer miles on its complete, ground up reboot, this mean Chevy drop-top is a super clean cruiser that puts the p, r and o in "trophy". During its professional restoration, the car's solid, fiberglass body was thoroughly massaged to correct most of the typical waves and ripples that came standard from GM's St. Louis manufacturing facility. And finally, everything was layered in smooth Silver and Black paint scheme, sealed in a glossy clearcoat shell and buffed to a fantastic, wet-look shine. Chevrolet's second generation Corvette debuted a much more assertive demeanor thanks to GM's renewed dedication to motorsports. That newfound aggression is especially prevalent in this roadster's edgy detailing. The car opens with a low-slung, stainless-trimmed grille that's tucked behind thin 'razor blade' bumpers and bright, bullet-style parking lamps. Above that grille, hidden headlights highlight a brilliant cross-flag emblem while a classic Stinger hood looks downright evil. Behind those headlights, a GT profile hangs '67-exclusive heat extractors in front of chrome door handles, stylish bowtie mirrors, and chambered and polished side pipes. Above those gills, well-maintained stainless frames like-new glass between bright wipers, a black canvas roof and a body-matched hardtop. And the car's sloped decklid centers a cross-flag-branded fuel cap between a power antenna, two-tone taillights and two more 'razor blade' bumpers. The base model Vette has always been a highly competent, ready-made package. In the mid-60s, the car's go-to mill was GM's 327 cubic inch L30 small block. In the mid-2000s, the car's go-to mill was GM's 6.0 liter LS2 V8. That said; it doesn't seem unnatural that this roadster's classic hood veils a lightweight LS2. GM's LS2 utilizes aluminum construction, high flow heads, a high flow intake, an aggressive cam and an upgraded injection system to mix hours of thrills with miles of impressive fuel economy. At 400 horsepower, the smooth revving engine is certainly no slouch in the performance department. And, as with the exterior of this Chevy, there are many well-planned upgrades that impress show goers and speed freaks alike. The engine's bland serpentine system has been exchanged for a sea of chrome brackets and polished pulleys. There's a Griffin aluminum radiator that's fitted with an efficient puller fan. And a chrome power steering reservoir combines with a chrome alternator, a chrome AC compressor and a polished Wilwood master cylinder to detail an otherwise purpose-built performer. As you would expect, the car's tidy engine bay is an excellent mixture of clean flat black and flashy chrome hardware. The fresh motor fires up instantly and runs perfectly. And the sound of the LS2 growling through those vintage side pipes will send chills right down your spine. Trust me, with this engine's sonorous note and neck-snapping acceleration, you'll want to bury the throttle every chance you get! With that kind of power on tap, it should come as no surprise that the bottom of this Corvette features a host of noteworthy upgrades. Behind the raucous small block, a Tremec TKO500 5-speed spins power through a fresh driveshaft to a completely rebuilt independent rear end with 3.07 gears. That stout drivetrain rides on a beefy independent front suspension that's upfitted with square-tube control arms, and coil-over shocks . Stops are provided by the 4-wheel power Wilwood disc brakes. Power flows to the pavement through polished 17" 5-spoke chrome rims, which spin 245/45R17 Nankang Sport NS-1 tires. Aesthetically, this Chevy's Satin Black undercarriage is virtually spotless, with a black custom chassis and drivetrain components its only disturbance. And everything, from the car's beefy sway bars to its strengthened crossmember, is expertly finished, superbly detailed and ready for action. Open this C2's tossable doors and you'll find the exterior's silver and black accented by a vibrant red interior that was completely restored during the car's extensive restoration. Seating comes courtesy of firm leather thrones that are anchored between new seatbelts, bright stainless trim and a small console that's centered on a chrome 5-speed shifter pattern. From the driver's perch, a traditional clock, Corvette's cross flag emblem, and controls for the AC, ride between what appear to be restored factory gauges and an aluminum-trimmed glove box. Below that dash, lights illuminate like-new carpet and fresh chrome sill plates. Above those sills, stainless-trimmed door panels hang small armrests, traditional chrome handles and stylish red accents in front of power-assisted windows. In front of the driver, a wood-trimmed steering wheel spins around a brilliant cross-flag emblem. In the console you will find a remote control that controls a single CD head unit (w/mp3 player hookups) and 6x9 speakers that have been installed in the rear. This professionally restored Vette is the kind of car that runs hard and wins trophies. Everyone loves topless Sting Rays, but some are A LOT nicer than others. If you've been searching for an awesome C2 to enjoy for years to come, you're looking at your next classic! Seamlessly capturing the look of a historic Vette, but slamming it with modern internals, this '64 Corvette is ready to win awards on the local car show scene and guaranteed to turn heads as you pull it in your driveway. Don't miss out on your opportunity to own this wonderfully restored Vette. About this auction & rk motors charlotte Please note that all sales are binding and final. The Corvette is Chevrolet\'s flagship sports car. It\'s a sports car that other manufacturers aim to try and outperform, with very few actually succeeding. This 1999 Chevrolet Corvette takes its already impressive \'out of the box\' performance to another level with a Vortech V3 supercharger stuffing more air and fuel into the healthy 5.7L V8. Not only does this car provide a massive fun factor, it does so with very low miles. At only 19,396 miles...this pristine Corvette has seen less than 1,300 miles a year! Needless to say, this car has lived a very pampered life, and you can expect an excellent finish on the fiberglass panels. The Light Pewter paint shines with a glossy clear coat and looks silky smooth under our lights. It is a targa top car, so there is a removable roof that you can tuck away should you choose. The polished and staggered wheels are off a 2000 model year Corvette to give it an updated look. They\'re 17 inches up front and 18 in the rear, wrapped in sticky Michelin Pilot Sports to get that massive power to road. Open the lightweight doors and slide into a comfortable interior for this land rocket. Everything remains stock in this fighter pilot like cockpit, except for a pair of tasteful, custom made floor mats. The black vinyl buckets are showroom fresh and keep you bolstered in when you start to put this car through the paces. There is ample storage behind the driver and passenger that is accented with plush carpet and the famous cross flag logo. The crack free dash looks as good as the day the first mile was driven in this \'Vette. And you can expect all of the luxuries these cars provided, such as an AM/FM/CD player, air conditioning/heat with defrost, cruise control, driver and passenger airbags, power seats, power windows, tilt wheel, and remote entry. Tilt the hood forward and things get interesting. Feeding that fuel injected 5.7L V8 is the Vortech V3 supercharger! That LS1 came from the factory with 345 horsepower, enough to get this lightweight sports car sprinting to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds. With the added Vortech centrifugal supercharger you\'re looking at possibilities upwards of 500 horsepower and mind-blowing acceleration! Bolted on for some extra ponies is an aftermarket cold air intake, and a Corsa exhaust system, that makes an incredible exhaust note! That forced induced power travels through the car\'s factory 4L60-E automatic transmission. Looking underneath the car, it\'s clear that it was engineered with speed and performance in mind. The flat underbelly is something you usually see on high end exotics, but this Corvette is capable of speeds as high as 175 mph, so keeping it planted to the road is important. All of the hardware is fresh, and things remain under control with four wheel power antilock disc brakes, and power steering. Obviously, this car means business. It appears to be a non suspect C5 Corvette on the outside. But when that engine starts to rev and the supercharger starts to scream, it takes no prisoners. If you\'re ready to get behind the wheel of a well maintained, low mileage, force fed Corvette, now\'s your chance! Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom. For more information, please call (704) 598-2130 or toll free (866) 542-8392. Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>

Great cars are being snatched up for strong money and big returns almost as fast as they hit our showroom! At RK Motors Charlotte, we retail more first class Chevys than anyone in the world. And in the second half of 2015, we've already sold TEN first generation Camaros to ten very satisfied owners. Our latest offering, this Concours Silver-winning Z/28, is a numbers-matching icon that, in addition to being fully documented, has been certified by Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance. If you're a serious pony car enthusiast who's looking for a clean, correctly sorted showpiece, you're staring at your next classic! BODYWORK/TRIM Rolling out of a 4-year restoration in the summer of 2000, and fine-tuned in early 2004, this LeMans Blue gem is the product of A LOT of time spent sweating details. From its correct vinyl top to its NOS replacement quarters, the car's rock-solid metal displays craftsmanship that's nothing short of excellent. Not surprisingly, every seam between that metal's correct D80 spoilers has been aligned to better-than-factory fit. And ultimately, it all adds up to one super impressive F-Body that, despite being restored roughly 11 years prior, took home Concours Silver honors at the 2011 Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals. ENGINE Hoist the cowl induction hood and you'll find a 302 cubic inch Chevrolet small block that, according to Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance, is the car's original, numbers-matching engine. Straight from the General this exclusive package utilized high-flow, rectangular-port heads, a forged steel crank, forged steel rods and forged aluminum pistons to twist stout 11 to 1 compression into more than 350 horsepower! At the top of the dressed and detailed mill, a black, single-snorkel air cleaner swirls wind in to a correct Winters intake thanks to a familiar Holley carburetor. At the sides of that intake, authentic 'double hump' heads hang finned valve covers over shielded exhaust manifolds. At the back of those heads, a mandatory points distributor shoots spark through fresh Packard TV R Suppression cables. Naturally, the raucous V8's ancillary components are on-point, with fresh GM hoses, a tagged Delco battery and a tagged Delco Moraine brake booster accompanying a correct alternator and era-correct smog equipment. And an evenly sprayed combination of Chevy Orange skin and Satin Black framing is capped by full hood insulation. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION The ferocious powerplant twists torque through an original, MacNeish-certified Muncie, which twists an original, MacNeish-certified 12-bolt. That correctly tagged drivetrain rides a fully rebuilt and correctly tagged suspension, which centers beefy traction bars between correct, power-assisted brakes. There's a chambered exhaust system that terminates with polished tips. That system is framed by solid floors, which plant smooth Satin Black paint under vivid LeMans Blue overspray. And those floors roll on 15-inch Rallys, which spin E70-15 Goodyear Wide Tread GTs around dent-free trim rings and correct turbine center caps. INTERIOR Open this Camaro's solid-closing doors and you'll find a correct Blue interior that wraps correct Standard trim around clean, classic style. A familiar bucket and bench seating layout features optional front headrests. In front of those seats, a '69-exclusive dash hangs a correct tachometer and optional clock between a color-keyed pad and faux wood trim. At the base of that dash, a traditional F1 console frames a factory Hurst shifter. Below that console, a quartet of floor mats protects like-new carpet. At the edges of that carpet, Standard door panels center small armrests in pristine stainless hardware. In front of the driver, a fixed steering column spins a classy Rally Wheel. And behind the passengers, a solid trunk conceals a full-size spare tire. This 1964 Chevrolet Chevy II has purposely been built to look like budget survivor and drive like a thoroughbred muscle car. The trick to building an effective street machine is to keep it low-key. Ermine White is the perfect shade of everyday transport, and of course, also a color shared with the Corvette... and that's exactly how to view this coupe. It could be a wolf in sheep's clothing. The sheetmetal is quite straight, and if you're looking to suprise, the two-door sedan is the body style you want, with its extra rigidity and lighter weight. No modifications to the body were permitted, not even a cowl-induction hood, and they even resisted the urge to add the extra chrome of the upper-level Novas. Instead, this is the classic that you sit back at the car shows and watch as the real enthusiasts take notice of how secretly special this one really is. Possibly the only real exterior indication they will pick up on are the 15-inch rally wheels borrowed from an early Camaro. The interior offers a few more hints at this Chevy's upgraded side. The blue vinyl bench seat is original equipment, and works well with the low-profile mission. It's part of a new interior package that includes the door panels, headliner, package tray, visors, seat covers, kick panels, and arm rests. Of course anyone looking that closely at this pristine interior will notice the big B&M shifter. From there, bow-tie fans will recognize the three-spoke Grant sport steering wheel. But what will really get them talking is the new gauge package that fits so well in the original slots, and yet stands out as the perfect custom piece. It includes large AutoMeter readouts for the speedometer and tachometer, as well as pods for the oil, water, and battery neatly incorporated in the radio slot. Once you pop the hood, this Chevy II can no longer pretend it's anything but a nice custom upgraded build. Sure the V8 was an option in '64, but the 350 cubic-inch small-block didn't come along until later SS coupes. The crate motor in this one has less than 3,500 miles on it, and when it was built in 2009, there were plenty of performance goodies added. This includes a Weiand X-Celerator intake, Edelbrock Thunder AVS 650 CFM carburetor, Comp Cams high energy camshaft, Proform 14-inch electric fan, aluminum radiator, and Hooker Pro Competition long tube ceramic headers. This exits through a custom dual exhaust with performance H-pipe for that perfect muscle car sound that will keep people guessing if that rumble is really coming from the incognito coupe. The power is sent to a stout three-speed TH350 automatic transmission with a PRC cooler and TCI slotted pan. The power then gets to the ground via a 10-bolt Positraction rear end running a 3.23 ratio. This one is an all-around driver with a full custom suspension, including new disc brakes up front. There's so much going on under the skin on this custom build that we don't have the room to list it all here. But give us a call, and we'll be happy to share all the details of the best coupe you never saw coming. It's a sports car that other manufacturers aim to try and outperform, with very few actually succeeding. This 1999 Chevrolet Corvette takes its already impressive 'out of the box' performance to another level with a Vortech V3 supercharger stuffing more air and fuel into the healthy 5.7L V8. They're 17 inches up front and 18 in the rear, wrapped in sticky Michelin Pilot Sports to get that massive power to road. The crack free dash looks as good as the day the first mile was driven in this 'Vette. With the added Vortech centrifugal supercharger you're looking at possibilities upwards of 500 horsepower and mind-blowing acceleration! Bolted on for some extra ponies is an aftermarket cold air intake, and a Corsa exhaust system, that makes an incredible exhaust note! That forced induced power travels through the car's factory 4L60-E automatic transmission. Looking underneath the car, it's clear that it was engineered with speed and performance in mind. If you're ready to get behind the wheel of a well maintained, low mileage, force fed Corvette, now's your chance! When this 2001 Camaro Z/28 convertible was built, nobody knew what the future of the F-body would hold. Today we know its legacy is secure, but in the mid-2000s, fantastic, original V8 Camaros like this were like gold. Finding one that is 100% stock, with low mileage and an unusual color combination is one way to assure future collectability, and in the meantime, it\'s an absolute ball to drive. GM was fascinated with Pewter on their performance cars around the turn of the century, and the contrast between brute-force performance and the subtle color is insanely attractive. The composite bodywork strikes a nice balance between F-body icon and grown-up performance car and since it\'s immune to rust and dents, this one shows quite well today. Sure, there are a few very minor signs that it\'s been driven, but overall there\'s no doubt that this car was beloved by the two guys who have had the honor of owning it. The well-integrated wing looks even better on the convertible than it does on the coupe and who doesn\'t love the way the front fenders swoop up to meld into the side mirrors? No stripes, no hood scoops, just an ultra-smooth look that makes this Camaro a fantastic grand touring car rather than a boy-racer. If nobody notices those discreet Z/28 badges, this car could be one heck of a sleeper. Black leather is the right choice with the Pewter bodywork, again reinforcing the idea that this is an adult\'s car, not a slot car toy. The leather buckets are as comfortable as they are supportive, equally well-suited to long-distance hauls as to carving through back country roads. Particularly for a convertible the leather is in really nice shape with only minor comfort marks that add character. Z/28s came only one way: loaded, and this one includes all the goodies including A/C, power windows, locks, and top, a tilt wheel, power driver\'s seat, and cruise control, so it really does cover all the bases. The Bose stereo system sounds absolutely fantastic, top up or top down, and it has obviously never spent any time being stored outdoors, because the carpets and dash pad are excellent. The top stows beneath a matching semi-rigid boot and the trunk, while modest, is nicely finished and includes a space-saver spare. A lot of guys were worried about the LS1 in the Camaro, but once the performance numbers came out, those fears were laid to rest. While GM put different numbers on the F-body LS1 engine and the Corvette version, the truth is that they\'re pretty much identical inside. As a result, this was among the most potent Camaros ever built, yet still pulls down decent fuel economy and idles as smoothly as a Cadillac. The LS1 is insanely easy to modify, but this one thankfully remains completely unmolested, right down to the air filter, so it\'s reliable and you don\'t have to worry about questionable workmanship. A 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission means that massive acceleration requires only one foot and two hands on the wheel. The suspension is still pretty stiff, but you can drive it every day without sacrifice, and with those shiny chrome SS wheels and 245/50/16 tires, it looks fantastic. Fully documented with manuals and books, this is an investment-grade fourth-generation Camaro. Enjoy it now, because cars like this are going to be really hard to find in the future. Call today! This 1956 Chevrolet 210 2-door has the look that has been in style for more than five decades. With just a few subtle upgrades, the car\'s entire personality changes, resulting in a slick street rod that can be driven anywhere and looks great doing it. The colors aren\'t original, but the pattern is, and no matter what you choose, that always works. The metallic blue and white paint job was done in the early 2000s, but thanks to excellent care ever since, it still manages to draw appreciative glances from the crowds at car shows and on the street. Of course, a lot of that is surely due to the fact that the \'56 Chevy is a great-looking car all by itself, but the metallic blue paint gives it a dignified look that belies the performance waiting underneath. Nice bodywork and good gaps suggest that good money was spent to make it look this way, and aside from a few signs of use, it seems to defy the years. Lots of bright chrome helps with the look and even though the design was slightly different on the 210 models, the \'56s still had the coolest 2-tone pattern of all time. 1-piece California-style bumpers help with the smoothie look, and all the stainless trim was polished up when the car was built. Nothing was shaved or deleted, so it has a traditional look; only the stance and rolling stock give it away. It\'s a little more updated inside, where custom cloth upholstery is far more comfortable than the original vinyl and has a distinctly \'50s look that seems right. Matching door panels continue the button-tufted theme and you\'ll notice cool details and interesting patterns throughout. The factory instrument panel was retained, and the speedometer and auxiliary gauges show crisp white markings on a black background along with a strip of bright trim that stretches from side to side. Aftermarket air conditioning was added to make this a very comfortable cruiser, with vents neatly stashed under the lower dash and hidden controls that keep the stock look. A manual transmission sticking out of the transmission tunnel gives it a more hard-core race look, but combined with the woodgrained steering wheel, it seems like it has borrowed some Corvette DNA. An AM/FM/cassette radio slotted neatly into the original hole in the dash and powers speakers built into the rear quarter panels. Open the trunk and you\'ll find a correct rubber mat and a rear-mounted battery that frees up some room in the engine bay. In that engine bay you\'ll find a 350 cubic inch V8 that has a no-nonsense look to it. Cast aluminum valve covers, an Edelbrock intake manifold, and a Holley Demon carburetor are the obvious upgrades, although there\'s also a modern alternator and a dual reservoir master cylinder. The bright Chevy Orange paint on the block looks very fresh and recent work includes belts, hoses, and tune-up components so it\'s ready to enjoy without worries. Backed by a 4-speed manual and the original rear end, it\'s a lot of fun to drive and with glasspack-style mufflers, you\'ll be blipping the throttle every time you pass under a bridge. Everything\'s undercoated so it\'s quiet and comfortable inside and it sits right on Torque Thrust wheels and 245/60/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials. Hard to go wrong with a shoebox Chevy and cars like this will never go out of style. Fast, comfortable, and always stylish, this cool 210 is the car you\'ve been waiting for. Call today! You can do a lot with an old pickup truck, but when they\'re restored to the level of this 1963 Chevrolet C10 pickup, shows and cruise-ins should be your primary interest. Gorgeous paint, a fresh interior, and a sharp-dressed small block make this one a winner for guys who like trophies but maybe not so much for the guy who needs to haul a load of plywood. That red paint doesn\'t look this good by accident. No, there\'s a ton of time tied up in the bodywork on this cool stepside, and given that it wasn\'t until recently that these trucks were legitimate collectors\' items, it stands to reason that finding clean ones is none too easy. Fortunately, this one looks great and stands up well under close scrutiny. Panel fit is good all around, the surfaces were all properly blocked and prepped, and the two-stage urethane paint has a shine that\'s deep and lustrous. There\'s a familiar look to an old red pickup, so they didn\'t alter the original bodywork, but then again, these trucks look so good that they almost look customized right off the showroom floor. Check out the little wing on the back of the cab, the crease running through the rear fenders, and those gorgeous wrap-around bumpers that are more Cadillac than pickup truck. In fact, most of the chrome and stainless was restored or replaced, and it all glitters brightly against the red finish. And no old pickup would be complete without a shiny wooden bed, and that\'s certainly the case here. The handsome black interior looks freshly restored and if not totally accurate, at least period correct. Pleats on the seat, a big, thin-rimmed steering wheel, and a painted dash were all appropriate pieces of a truck interior in the early \'60s. Part of the C10\'s popularity had to do with its twin cockpit look which mirrored the Corvette and other passenger cars, marking one of the first times designers actually made the interior of a truck look sporty. Of course, lots of upgrades make this one a cruising favorite, including an engine-turned instrument panel with new Equus gauges, custom door panels, carpeted floors, and an A/C system tucked discreetly under the dash. New tinted glass with fresh weather-stripping was installed all around, which surely helps out in warmer climates, and heavy-duty floor mats keep it looking fresh. For power, a new 350 cubic inch crate motor was dropped between the fenders then splashed with chrome. It\'s only got about 2000 miles on it since the installation, just enough to work out the bugs but not so much that it knocks the freshness off. A 4-barrel carburetor and aluminum intake help build power, and most of the ancillary stuff was dipped in chrome before it was installed. The brake booster and master cylinder are recent, the radiator was just cleaned, and a set of disc brakes were installed up front, so it\'s ready to drive cross-country at a moment\'s notice. An automatic transmission and heavy-duty rear end mean that it\'s still technically capable of working like a truck, although the sweet-sounding dual exhaust system is more Camaro than C10. And there\'s no avoiding those giant chrome Boss Motorsports wheels, which have been wrapped in brand new 255/50/20 front and 285/50/20 rear Nitto radials. This is a really nice truck that\'s totally impossible to duplicate for the asking price. If you like vintage haulers, this one should appeal to you. Call today! Eventually Chevrolet took their Corvette to the racetrack, while Ford continued to turn their Thunderbird into the ultimate boulevard king. Now, over sixty years later, Corvettes are regarded as some of the best curve carvers in the world, and Thunderbirds, like this 17K-mile stunner, are still turning heads on Main Street. If you looked at a brand new Thunderbird in 1955 but couldn't swing it, and looked again in 2002 but the timing just wasn't right, 2015 is your year! That's right; we have a pristine 2002 Thunderbird that's so nice it could've rolled out of the factory yesterday! So, if you're still looking to hit the road in refined style, the third time's a charm! BODYWORK/TRIM Ford's sensational Thunderbird sprang to life as a 1955 halo car that fired imaginations and eventually became a legend. In 1999, Dearborn's favorite son decided it would honor that original by building a new model to turn just as many heads. And, within three years, the convertible you see here, affectionately dubbed the 'retrobird', was rolling through production. This pristine drop-top's long body has obviously been pampered and exceptionally cared for as its slick Thunderbird Blue 2-stage looks just as good now as the day it rolled off the truck. And, from its great fit to its blemish-free panels, this Ford is definitely one of the nicest factory cruisers on the planet! As one of the most enduring 'retro' designs ever created, the car's J Mays-penned fuselage looks fantastic from virtually any angle. At the front of that fuselage, a bright chrome grille hangs small driving lights below clear, combination headlamps and a teal-inlayed Thunderbird emblem. Behind that emblem, a composite hood centers a traditional Thunderbird scoop in front of tinted factory glass that sports a stylish chrome frame. At the top of that frame, a Performance White hardtop latches down over a standard Haartz soft top to perfectly mimic Ford's original, 1955 dual-roof system. Below those roofs, chrome ventiports ride inside re-imagined fender lines that lead the eye through body-matched mirrors to rear mounted "Thunderbird" scripts. And, behind those scripts, a contoured Center High Mount Stop Lamp illuminates a second teal-inlayed Thunderbird emblem, clear, combination taillights, a chrome-trimmed tag recess and stylish stainless exhaust tips. ENGINE When Ford debuted the eleventh generation Thunderbird it introduced a car that was faithful to the original concept in virtually every way. Power for this classy cruiser comes from a 3.9 liter, 32-valve DOHC V8 that was developed by former captive subsidiary Jaguar. Code named AJ35, the Ford-specific mill utilizes variable valve timing, fracture-split and forged rods, 1-piece, cast camshafts and a reinforced, composite intake to twist 280 smooth horses into 286 lb./ft. of stout torque. More of a 'comfortable cruiser' than 'flat-out sports car', the 'retrobird' never pretended to be a Corvette or Porsche competitor. That said; 0-60 comes at a very respectable seven seconds, and the car's silky powerplant delivers enough grunt to provide fun and responsive driving characteristics. Aesthetically, the entire engine is hidden under an attractive plastic shroud which substitutes a classic "Thunderbird" script and silver "V8" branding for traditional views of its componentry. However, you can still plainly see how well everything has been maintained and, with a turn of the key, the cylinders settle into a restrained hum of power. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION In the late 1990s and early 2000s Ford developed one global rear wheel drive platform, codenamed DEW, that was set to underpin everything from select Jaguars to the fifth generation Mustang. Those competent roots supply this awesome Thunderbird with a sophisticated independent suspension, which utilizes a host of weight saving technology to provide a smooth ride and composed road manners. Behind the aluminum engine, a 5-speed automatic transmission sends power to a fresh Ford rear end that's fitted with beefy 3.58 gears. At the corners of the chassis, 4-wheel disc brakes, which are aided by standard antilock and traction control systems, ride behind chrome, 17-inch wheels and sticky Michelin Pilots. All that world-class engineering results in a sturdy convertible that translates relaxed sportiness into an excellent combination of cushy comfort and tight handling. And when you throw your favorite road at this drop-top, it'll chew it up, spit it out and coddle you in the kind of luxury vintage T-bird owners merely dream of experiencing. INTERIOR Ford began the 21st century by producing some of the most impressive and detail-oriented interiors to ever hit the market. And the 2-tone cockpit in this roadster, equipped with an optional Full Interior Color Accent Package, has to be one of their best designs. The driver and passenger are treated to power leather seats, which are branded with small Thunderbird emblems. Below those seats, day-one-fresh carpet is protected by color-keyed floor mats and bordered by cool "Ford Thunderbird" sill plates. Above those sills, winged door panels hang slick metal trim behind controls for both power windows and power door locks. In front of those panels, a highly detailed dash anchors Turquoise-tipped needles between satin-faced gauges, a 6-disc CD changer and attractive metal trim. At the base of that dash, a great looking console centers dual-zone climate control on a Thunderbird Blue shift knob and sculpted waterfall back panel. In front of the driver, a 2-tone wheel spins a pristine, teal-inlayed emblem around a tilting and telescoping column. And behind the passengers, a fully finished trunk features enough luggage room for a quick weekend getaway. About the RK Motors Performance Center Regardless if your vehicle is going through our Seal of Approval Exit Service, Basic Safety Check, routine maintenance or a full custom built to your exact specifications, the RKM Performance Center has the knowledge, experience and resources to fulfill your automotive needs. In the world of electronic fuel injection and computer diagnostics, even late model dealerships look a little uncomfortable working on pre-OBD1 cars. There are many independent mechanics and shops that may be able to help, but putting your prized classic in the hands of a stranger is a leap of faith at best. This is exactly why we created the RKM Performance Center. Being proud members of SEMA, ARMO, HRIA and the North Carolina Motorsports Association, the RKM Performance Center is a nationally recognized shop; best known for high level OEM restorations and custom builds. Comprised of ASE certified mechanics, including several Master Technicians, you can feel confident that your car is in capable hands. As fellow enthusiasts, they are passionate about cars and will treat yours with the respect it deserves.
