Available today is my 2001 Land Rover Discovery SD. I recently purchased this from a professor friend at the local University, who was offered a job in Europe and had to leave on short notice. He knew I always admired his Land Rover and offered it to me at a price I couldn't pass up. Being my third car, however, I rarely ever use it, so I've decided to offer it for sale here on eBay. First off, this car has a salvage title. My friend was involved in a minor accident on the vehicle's front right side Christmas Day 20012. The insurance company, given the age of the vehicle and the cost of the bodywork, wrote it off. My friend loved this Land Rover, though, and decided to keep it and get the bodywork done. This cost just over $3600. In 2013, he replaced the head gasket set, which cost almost $2500. In the past two years he also spent almost $2000 on brake work and a driveshaft overhaul. So, doing the math, over $8000 in work has been put into this car in the past 2 1/2 years. I have all records of service, which were performed exclusively at British Performance in Mission Viejo CA. Mechanically, then the car runs superbly. No problems with the engine or transmission. No electrical issues. The only thing I've noticed is some moisture on the floor in front when I have the A/C on high. I researched it and it looks like it is most likely a leak in the A/C hose--an easy fix, according the to the internet. That noted, everything works in the interior as it should. The A/C does blow ice cold. For the interior, the only wear to note is on the driver's seat from getting in and out of the car (shown in the pics above). The exterior is also in excellent condition with only minor wear. No problems to note.This is a CA car, and it was smogged just over three months ago . The tags are good until August 2016. Overall, this is an exemplary Land Rover--I believe it would be hard to find another one of this era in this well-maintained condition. I bought it in a heartbeat because it was so well preserved--I just can't justify keeping it when it rarely gets used. Given the car and maintenance put into the vehicle I am asking $3500 or best offer. If you are in the Southern California area, you are more than welcome to schedule a test drive. 2003 Land Rover Discovery Series II - 7 Passenger Up for sale is a great example of a land Rover Discovery. This is a rare 7 passenger model and comes loaded with leather, dual roof and lots of standard, luxury and safety features. This is a clean titled truck with no stories. Comes with a recent and valid Ontario Drive Clean report. The vehicle has been well kept for a 13 year old truck and it shows. This is the second last year of the Discovery in Canada and so it comes with the bigger and better 4.6 Liter V8 motor and the upgraded lights. The interior is very nice and free of any major wear and tear. No cracks or rips in the leather. The exterior is just as nice with no major rust, damage or wear. The engine runs smooth and very nice with great power. The rear air suspension is also in great working order! This truck has two sets of wheels: The original 18 inch you see pictures with not-so-good winter rubber. However, I have another set of 18 inch Land rover alloys with much better rubber mounted currently on the truck. So you get two sets of Land Rover wheels with this deal! The passenger side front window regulator is not working properly which is a common issue with these. The power steering has a leak and this truck will also need brakes for a safety inspection.
