Pete 949 2 8 5 – 8 0 1 1 Exterior wise, this car is painted in Meridian Metallic Silver which is a great looking dark shade of: silver. Has a set of 18” Carrera wheels which really set this car apart front other Boxsters. Overall paint and body condition is very good with a few minor in imperfections as noted in my video above. Paint and body condition I would rate an 8.5 to 9 out of 10. Has a few tiny rock nics on front bumper cover, a tiny door ding and a small spider crack in bumper cover which are all unnoticeable unless you look from very close. Has Porsche racing side decals and Boxster S decal on pop up rear wing. Convertible top is in excellent shape and power top goes up and down with no issues. Plastic rear window is brand new! Has smoked rear tail lenses and front headlights are Litronic which is Porsches way of saying they are HID lights. Great looking car! The interior is in very good condition overall. This was a non smoker vehicle and has no odd smells. Driver and passenger seats have no rips or tears and look great. Carpeting looks brand new and has a nice set of original floor mats as well. Dash is in very good shape and everything functions as it should. Climate control works without issue, and AC blows cold and heater warm. Has aftermarket Kenwood CD/MP3/AUX/Ipod stereo which sounds great! Has Porsche emblems embroidered into the headrests and rear wind deflector. Mechanically, the boxster runs excellent. Engine runs very strong and quiet. Has Carven aftermarket exhust which sounds a bit loud for my taste but you may like. Transmission shifts nice and smooth with no issues and a soft clutch in great shape. Has had recent inspection for oil leaks and or issues and mechanic thinks it runs and drives excellent. Has had a recent new coolant tank and water pump, it received new plugs at 60k as well as brakes very recently as they look near new. Tires are Perelli Pzero with at least 75% all around. The car handles excellent and drives great! For sale is my 2001 Seal Grey Porsche Boxster S. It has 55,250 miles, a clean title, I am the third owner, and the car has a clean CarFax not involved in any accidents. It is a 6 speed manual transmission, with the original 3.2L engine. All original equipment including the rare factory Sport Package that included the 996 GT3 front bumper, Aero II side skirts, and Spyder humps. The convertible top is in great condition. Factory Euro HID headlights look brand new, Factory Euro tail lights and turn indicators. Also will come with a factory Porsche car cover, 2 keys, original sticker sheet, and manuals. No leaks (photo of underside of engine bay is attached), Tire/brake life is good. Service with brake flush and oil change were just performed, as well as a safety inspection at the dealer. For sale is my 2001 Seal Grey Porsche Boxster S. It has 55,250 miles, a clean title, I am the third owner, and the car has a clean CarFax not involved in any accidents. I have owned this 2001 Boxster S since it was new. I special ordered it and took delivery on April 30, 2001, from Rusnak Porsche in Westlake Village. It is a Southern California car and has always been garaged, covered and on a battery tender. It has never been tracked or driven in the rain. The oil is changed once a year (every January 1st) and analyzed by Blackstone labs. The oil filter is also cut open and examined when the oil is changed. It has always been free of debris. The rear wheel bearings were replaced in 2013. In 2015 the water pump was replaced as part of preventive maintenance. At the same time the water pump was replaced a new low temperature thermostat was installed, the coolant hoses were replaced, the serpentine belt was replaced and motor mount was replaced. All maintenance is up to date. There is nothing wrong with this car; mechanically or physically. The wheels have been refinished by Wheels America and have no curb rash and they are straight. Clean one owner CarFax. No accident, paint work or body work. I did have the front bumper license plate holes filled, the bumper painted and 3M Paint Protection film installed. They are six years old and have 11,000 miles on them. The DOT date on the tires is 3410 (August 2010). They show well and have a lot of tread left. A new Battery was installed in December 2016. The 996 instrument cluster installation is well documented with photos and receipts. The engine number of the Boxster is M96 21/ 671 09227. According to a Pelican Technical Article, this engine should have the more desirable double row IMS bearing. I have not changed or upgraded the bearing. On July 2, 2008, at 16,452 miles, the RMS was upgraded. The invoice states, "R&I Exhaust, R&I Transmission, R&I Clutch and Flywheel, R&R Rear Mail Seal, R&I Tensioners, R&R Intermediate Shaft Flange Seal, Clean Oil Residue From Trans and Engine." The total bill was $2223.52 and listed the following parts; 1 - 997.101.212.00 Shaft Sealing RI 1 - 996.105.112.01 Rubber Gasket 4 - 999.385.004.01 Torx Screws 3x35 3 - 900.385.275.09 Torx Screw 5x29 8 - 999.073.092.09 Screw 10x50 The original stock S Muffler, Secondary Cats, Mirrored Sun Visors and original taillights are included in the sell. Why am I selling the Boxster? I bought it in 2001 when I was 47 years old. I am now 62. I want another Porsche sports car to enjoy. In all likelihood, a 1979 to 1989 911. Hell, if I keep the next Porsche as long as I have kept this one I'll be 77 years old at this point of ownership. If I had the garage space, I'd keep the Boxster. Overall, this 2001 Boxster S is in good condition, especially for a 16 year old car. It has under 95k miles, good leather seats, brand new front tires, upgraded stereo/head unit and upgraded Carrera wheels. There is a scratch over rear driver's side wheel, which you can see in the picture. One of the reasons I'm selling is due to our parking situation, we currently don't have a garage or off street parking and the Boxster has been dinged because of it. OPTIONAL HARD TOP!!! I have owned this 2001 Boxster S since it was new. I special ordered it and took delivery on April 30, 2001, from Rusnak Porsche in Westlake Village. It is a Southern California car and has always been garaged, covered and on a battery tender. It has never been tracked or driven in the rain. The oil is changed once a year (every January 1st) and analyzed by Blackstone labs. The oil filter is also cut open and examined when the oil is changed. It has always been free of debris. The rear wheel bearings were replaced in 2013. In 2015 the water pump was replaced as part of preventive maintenance. At the same time the water pump was replaced a new low temperature thermostat was installed, the coolant hoses were replaced, the serpentine belt was replaced and motor mount was replaced. All maintenance is up to date. There is nothing wrong with this car; mechanically or physically. The wheels been refinished by Wheels America and have no curb rash and they are straight. Clean one owner CarFax. No accident, paint work or body work. I did have the front bumper license plate holes filled, the bumper painted and 3M Paint Protection film installed. I have every piece of paperwork on the car from day one including build sheet. They are six years old and have 11,000 miles on them. The DOT date on the tires is 3410 (August 2010). They show well and have a lot of tread left. The engine number of the Boxster is M96 21/ 671 09227. According to a Pelican Technical Article, this engine should have the more desirable double row IMS bearing. I have not changed or upgraded the bearing. On July 2, 2008, at 16,452 miles, the RMS was upgraded. The invoice states, "R&I Exhaust, R&I Transmission, R&I Clutch and Flywheel, R&R Rear Mail Seal, R&I Tensioners, R&R Intermediate Shaft Flange Seal, Clean Oil Residue From Trans and Engine." The total bill was $2223.52 and listed the following parts; 1 - 997.101.212.00 Shaft Sealing RI 1 - 996.105.112.01 Rubber Gasket 4 - 999.385.004.01 Torx Screws 3x35 3 - 900.385.275.09 Torx Screw 5x29 8 - 999.073.092.09 Screw 10x50 The original stock S Muffler, Secondary Cats, Mirrored Sun Visors and original taillights are included in the sell. Why am I selling the Boxster? I bought it in 2001 when I was 47 years old. I am now 62. I want another Porsche sports car to enjoy. In all likelihood, a 1979 to 1989 911. Hell, if I keep the next Porsche as long as I have kept this one I'll be 77 years old at this point of ownership. If I had the garage space, I'd keep the Boxster. For sale is my 2001 Seal Grey Porsche Boxster S. It has 55,056 miles, a clean title, I am the third owner, and the car has a clean CarFax not involved in any accidents. It is a 6 speed manual transmission, with the original 3.2L engine. All original equipment including the rare factory Sport Package that included the 996 GT3 front bumper, Aero II side skirts, and Spyder humps. The convertible top is in great condition. Factory Euro HID headlights look brand new, Factory Euro tail lights and turn indicators. Also will come with a factory Porsche car cover, 2 keys, original sticker sheet, and manuals. No leaks (photo of underside of engine bay is attached), Tire/brake life is good. Service with brake flush and oil change were just performed, as well as a safety inspection at the dealer. They noted the obvious dead pixels in the tripometer gauges, and that the motor mount was needing replacement and should be done by the 60k service. If there are any questions do not hesitate to ask, I have more pictures as well if you would like to see them all.
