Climatronic temp controls in front and rear with dual zones keeps everyone happy. This Eurovan has great seat layout including easily removable jump seats as well as removable bench. Seats in great shape as I always have seat covers on. Van is super roomy. Lloyd rubber mats in front and rear. Rear bench folds into a bed. Great storage in trunk and under the rear bench. This model is is the 24v VR6 engine (2001-2003) with 201hp vs the 12v VR6 (1997-2000) with 140hp. All maintenance done by myself using oem parts and fluids. Rear shocks were replaced in 2011 with Bilstein absorbers. Stereo upgraded to a Volkswagen Volk-L Bluetooth stereo. It is a double din unit and I imported the stereo and trim piece for the a/c controls. Has MP3 CD and aux input as well. All speakers are upgraded to Infinty brand. LED overhead lights light up the night. I have all curtains and rear hatch screen perfect for car camping. Also including the full front OEM Bra. Installed are Euro-style tail lights (have originals as well) and a rear protective bumper strip from Europe. Purchased hitch for the van and never finished installing, included with sale. I also added a transmission dipstick from the Winnebego Rialta to easily check transmission fluid. Also has a Viper alarm.

I am the original owner of this 2001 VW Eurovan, weekender. I am not going to list the basics of this vehicle, as 99% of the people that would be interested know all about these vans. I will try to give as much detail as i can about my van. As stated, I am the only and original owner, purchased new from my local VW dealer in October of 2001. The first (6) years I had the van, it was used just on weekend camping/fishing trips. After that it became my daily driver during the week. I had the alternator replaced twice, the 1st time after 2 years (under warranty) and then again about 6 years ago. (3) years ago I had my timing chain replaced. At 94,000 miles the transmission went out and was replaced with a new transmission, covered under my extended warranty! Now, 156,000 miles later, the transmission is starting to act up. After it's been running for 30 to 90 minutes, it will then shift at high rpm's. It's been like that for several months. It not that bad (yet), but I'm sure will need to be worked on soon. The heater core devolved a leak 2 years ago, so there is no heat in the front. I drove it last year all winter thru a very cold season here in Chicago, and it really wasn't that bad. The rear heater works, so that is what helped warm things up. About a year ago the electric seat heaters and the rear window defroster stopped working. I checked the fuse and a switches, but could not get it to work. My guess is it is something simple if you dig into it. The rear wiper does not work anymore. the front wipers work, other than washer fluid does not come out on one side. probably a simple fix. Other than what I just mentioned, everything else mechanically works fine (AC, fan, cruse control, radio,etc). I think for it's age (14 years),, the paint is in very good shape, still shines. there are 3 or 4 spots as seen in the pictures were the paint is bubbling and rust is developing. The pop top canvas needs to be repaired in the rear, other than that, no issues with the pop top. I took the (2) rear seats out of the van, but they will be included. just took them out since they are not used, and you get alot more space in the van. The curtains are all there and in great shape. Overall for being 14 years old, I think it's in good shape. A few dings and dents (that are not that noticeable), and it's fair share if tiny road chips on the hood. It is a hard decision to get rid of the van. I really haven't used the van for what it was intended for in many years now. the engine light is on, 2 or 3 codes show up. I cleared the codes about 3 months ago when i took it in for emissions testing, and it passed. I will miss my van much. I am looking for someone that will take care of her and use her for what she was intended for. I've been following these vans on Ebay throughout the years. Not too many Weekenders out there. Considering the age, miles and the few mechanical issues, the price is more than far! if your the winner, just take good care of this girl!

Van runs great and is in great shape minus normal wear and tear for its age. Seats 7 with plenty of cargo room. With the seats down I have hauled on separate occasions a couch and a 4x8 table with benches. Has trailer hitch and trailer lights. New tires on front. Beside a small ding on the back door (see photo), there are only 2 known issues with this van: 1) ABS light on the dash is on. This does not affect the normal breaking system. The anti-lock breaks work fine. Dealership said that the indicator light means that the ABS will continue to work in slippery conditions instead of turning off. We judged that this is a fancy feature that is not necessary and wasn't worth the money to fix. We have driven the van with this light on since 2010. 2) A/C does not work. Van needs a new compressor. I can provide new owner with a written estimate from the VW dealership where the van was originally purchased. Cost to fix at dealership is $1000. Another mechanic could do it for less.
