For sale is my Lexus GS300. I've had it for 3 years since 59,000 miles, and I am the third owner. The first leased it from Pembrooke Pines Lexus in Florida. It has 123k miles and is fully loaded with the rare auto-leveling factory HID lights, heated seats, and SportDesign package (one of 3200 made in a 2 year span with several differences from the regular GS, a review of which is listed below) The SportDesign is part of an effort by Lexus to bolster sales of the GS, now in its fifth year and apparently not due for a makeover any time soon. The GS300's keynotes are its 225-horsepower, 3.0-liter, in-line six (with button-type E-shift on the steering wheel) and chassis tuning that is slightly softer than that of the GS430. The Sport-Design interior gets special perforated leather upholstery for the seats, and a brushed-aluminum panel on the center console. More important is that it includes the wider 225/55VR-16 Michelin Pilot HX tires on polished alloy wheels that are found on the GS430 plus a sport suspension. About 3200 cars will get this treatment this summer. There is no compelling reason to buy a GS300 in anything but Sport-Design trim. At $4050, it represents just a $310 spiff above the $3740 Premium package's mix of leather, audio, and sunroof; and for $3250 more, or a total of $7300 above base price, it can be combined with the Navigation/ Mark Levinson audio package. It's a nice piece to drive, and it dials out the little bit of wooziness in the GS300's behavior at very high speeds. The car has full service history since brand new and had a four wheel alignment and safety inspection by Northtown Lexus (10/22/2015). It was checked by the dealer and was found to be in perfect shape ( have receipt). Recent work includes; - Four KYB struts - NAPA upper control arms and OEM lower control arms -MOOG ball joints, sway-bar end links, and inner/outer tierods with polyurathane sway-bar bushings all around. -OEM carrier/drive shaft bearing -OEM motor mount, steering rack bushings, valve cover gaskets. Throttle body was cleaned at the same time. -Door lock actuator motors (all 4) and timing belt/water pump at 62k miles by RGW LLC -Rear Brembo rotors and Akebono pads 1k miles ago (front with slotted rotors 6k ago) -NGK spark plugs, coolant flush, and brake fluid flush, at 100k by Northtown Lexus. -Regular cabin/air filters, engine oil, differential, power steering fluid, and transmission fluid changes. Premium 93 or ethanol free 91 gasoline was always used. -As for upgrades this car has clear corner sidelights, OEM Lexus G-Spyder wheels, blue-tooth with wireless audio connectivity, Valentine V1 hardwire, white LEDs in the interior lights and license plate/city lights, and 35% tint on the sides, and 20% on the very back with a lifetime warranty. This car needs nothing and I have receipts for all services and parts that have been changed on the car from brand new, 95% of which is from the a Lexus dealership. This is not a flood car and never had frame damage. All the panels are original with VIN tags attached with the exception of the front right fender/right front HID headlight, both of which were replaced with an OEM parts. The car was repaired by RGW LLC and I have before pictures of the car as well. I've had the Unlimited Delta Sonic car wash so it is always clean and there is zero rust/rot on or under the car. Reason for sale is while at Northtown Lexus, I found a GS350 I am interested in. Car comes with 3 remote keys, all the owners manuals and service records. This Lexus is a great vehicle with 9 way fully adjustable leather seats, Sunroof, chrome wheels, rear spoiler, multidisc stereo system, and sport package. The 5 speed full automatic transmission delivers a smooth ride for everyday commuting. Then for the sporty person in you, this car allows you to drive in the "manual" mode shifting gears on the steering wheel. The A/C was just replaced and works excellent. Tires are still new and maintenance records included with the vehicle. There are 220,057 miles but the car runs great. Steve Mazor, the Auto Club of Southern California's chief automotive engineer, says that while some people freak out when they see the Check Engine light," Its important to note that Check engine lights are primarily emissions based lights. They are different from more important lights like "Engine Oil Pressure Warning Light" or "Engine Temperature Warning Light". Service Engine soon or "Check Engine" If the light comes on, Mazor says the driver should first see if the gas cap is loose: That's a common cause. A loose cap sends an error message to the car's computer, reporting a leak in the vapor recovery system, which is one aspect of a car's emissions system. If the gas cap is loose, tighten it and continue driving. Even so, it will take some time for the light to go off, he says. Other times the Check Engine light will come on if you fuel the vehicle while running the car. Many people do this in the heat of the summer, or the cold of the winter. This is called a "VAPOR GLITCH. This will kick on the light since it will allow more oxygen in the system than what is normal. Thus the computer will think there is a vapor leak. Furthermore, if you top off the gas, you may inadvertantly cause to much gas in the gas tank baffle system, thus kicking on the vapor light. Mazor says that even an inexpensive code reader could be useful for car owners, even if they aren't mechanically inclined, because the majority of the time the lights come on, they are temporary glitches in the system due to the above mentioned reasons. A $20 scanner can be used to clear the code and is much cheaper than paying a shop $80 for nothing. Some people insist on paying a shop to read the signal codes. Please remember you will often get whats called "Mixed Signals" in the automotive repair industry. Because even after you have paid $80 to get the code from the mechanic, the code and its meaning are often open to interpretation. This is where many shops make lots of money charging customers to repair seniors or hoses that in nor way needed replaced. Many shops would rather make money on the labour and parts to ensure you will not have to come back, than to clear the code, even when they know in all likelihood it was a "vapor glitch". For example: If a vehicle sits on our lot, and is not driven daily for 2 months, certain carbons will build up in the exhaust. If you then come and buy that same vehicle and drive it back to your state at 70mph for 10 hours straight, you very well may kick on a check engine light since the seniors will be getting signals of too much carbon build up. THEREFORE IT IS VERY COMMON that a Check Engine light comes on when nothing is wrong with the car, Mazor says. "It could be a temporary problem caused by a change in humidity or other factors. In such cases, the light should go off by itself after a short time." Even if there is a legitimate problem, 95% of the time it is only a O2 sensor (part of the emissions system, monitoring and helping adjust the air-fuel mixture) Loose gas cap, Mass air flow sensor (monitoring the amount of air mixed in the fuel injection system). In a worse case scenario IF the check engine light starts to flash on and off constantly you will want to immediately take it to a shop. In all likelihood it will only need a Catalytic converter or new Spark plug wires. At the time or our inspection ALL CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ISSUES WILL BE FIXED (unless noted in the video) . However, we CANNOT warranty check engine lights. We do a once a week re-inspection of each vehicle on our lot. Often during those re-inspections we find new check engine lights that have come on. 99% of the time it is a VAPOR GLITCH. We have often seen vehicles that have never had a vapor glitch sit on our lot for 2 or 3 months, only to have the vapor glitch come during the buyers test drive or soon after. Since we do not have a crystal ball, we cannot guarantee this will not happen. If we are doing a delivery, and during the course of the delivery the light comes on, you cannot reject the vehicle. Please remember we do our best to provide a quality USED VEHICLE. But at the end of the day, it is a used vehicle. #5. Unless otherwise noted, all of our vehicles come with tires that passed the Certified Inspection. New tires come with 10/32s of tread depth. We fail tires below 4/32s. Up for sale is a 1999 Lexus GS 300. This car is in amazing condition considering its age. It would be a perfect daily driver. I would not hesitate to take this car on a cross country road trip. I'm selling it to make room for another project I'm taking on over the winter months. I simply don't have anymore room. My loss is your gain. I bought the car a little over a year ago with a bad engine. So I had a low mileage engine from an 2002 Lexus IS 300. While the engine was out we did the water pump, timing belt, hydraulic tensioner rear main oil seal spark plugs and valve cover gaskets. In addition new radiator new struts all the way around. In addition the serpentine belt was changed with all the other maintenance. I have also changed the air filter as well as cabin filter. New brake pads and crossed drilled rotors on the front and new regular rotors on the rear. New leather shift knob and steering wheel cover. New tires all the way around as well. All mechanical and maintenance was performed by Lucas Performance in Jessup Maryland. Viper alarm and remote start with key less entry. I left the remote start bypass out because you need a 2nd key and I never got around to having it made. Since the engine replacement I've only used mobil1 synthetic engine oil. A/C blows ice cold! Brand new H.I.D lights installed on the head lights. L.E.D fog lights and daytime running lights. Everything works in the car including the factory 6 disc CD changer. The interior is in okay condition. I'm very meticulous about my cars so to me it's not bad. Exterior has a few scratches which is to be expected with a car of this age. The car runs and drives flawlessly. I had plans to do a turbo swap or maybe add a turbo to the n/a motor but my plans have changed. You can barely hear the car running at idle.
