2002 Lexus IS300. Needs some body work and mechanical repairs. Was involved in small accident that left minimal aesthetic damages on the left side of rear bumper, tail light and rear left door. Car has not been repaired and damage can be seen in video and pictures. TRAC OFF light is flashing and Check Engine light is on. Those problems have not been diagnosed by a mechanic, but they are very common with Lexus IS300s, so a forum may be of help in determining cause. Some minor oil leaks in engine, possibly gaskets.I don't want a dissatisfied buyer, so please make sure you know how to make these repairs before you buy it. Black Lexus IS300 2002 Automatic/Manual mode with 266, 292 miles as of this post. The car is is in good shape, but needs repairs. It is a great car. I have owned it since April, 2002. When I got it from the dealer it had only 4 miles. I have taken care of this car for the past 12 years, changing the oil myself every 5,000 miles, as recommended by Lexus, always using full synthetic oil. You can see the left bumper and rear light are damaged and need to be replaced. The front bumper is loose, as someone also bumped into it while it was parked. **2002 LEXUS IS300 3.0 L** Up for auction is this 2002 Lexus. I have to get rid of it because I recently bought another vehicle. This car needs minor touch up. This is a very fast car (another reason I don't need it!) I have found something more economical. I will say the motor in this car is in excellent condition. Still to this day, it does not use oil! I will change the oil when the car sells because I want to show who ever buys this how clear the oil still is. I have all invoices, oil changes and work that has been done on it. Also, it has the automatic key lock and alarm system. I paid $344.30 for a new key and pad. Tires on front are new (have receipt for this) and have spent 831.93 to fix LF Caliper. I have a 2002 Lexus IS300, it is in immaculate condition. Only 120k miles, 3 Owners 0 Accidents. The car was driven in Pennsylvania all its life, mainly highway miles. The timing belt and water pump was done at the Lexus dealer at 44k miles. The engine and transmission is very strong and shifts smooth. The paint is in showroom condition. Also has the gold emblem package from Lexus. The interior seats are full leather which is another rare option to find in the Is300, they are usually leather/suede mixed. The interior is also a rare two tone color, black dash with tan leather seats, looks very good. Also has heated seats. The tires have a good amount of tread on them.However,there are some minor issues, 1.The seats have little rips in them(not sure how that happened). 2.There is a minor scuff on the driver side quarter panel. 3.The car needs a brake job 4.Has a little smokers smell. I have owned this car for 5 years and it is by far the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned! MECHANICAL:There are no known mechanical issues other than a very slight oil leak that I have not attempted to fix. The engine is fully stock and has never been modified. In 2013 I replaced the suspension with Tokico Blue shocks and Eibach Prokit Springs. The car sits about 1" lower than stock, it looks awesome and handles really well. Includes Lexus 18" OEM rims from a GS350 model. The Cooper tires are in great shape. Includes Pioneer touch screen iPod/MP3/DVD/SD player and stock speakers.Both HID headlight ballasts and bulbs were replaced a year ago!All spark plugs and wires replaced about a year ago!Cooper tires replaced less than a year ago! COSMETIC:The car has been garage kept during my ownership. There are a few cosmetic issues with the body which is to be expected on a car that is 13 years old: The corner of the body above the left headlight is bent and has missing paint. The rear passenger fender is cracked and has been self repaired. There is a crack on the bumper. See pictures for details. The dash has been completely stripped and repainted to fix the infamous "sticky dash" issue on this model. That he had it replaced/repaired & repainted at a shop. The carfax/autocheck report reflects that as well as a minor accident in 2005. He had the bodykit installed about a year ago.
