While everyone gets crazy about the gifts “in” the sleigh, I always thought the magical sleigh that can get you across the world in a day and handles like it is on rails was really the true gift. And this one is already painted RED!! If you truly want to impress your loved one or yourself and at the same time make every friend and family member jealous, this is the ONE GIFT they will talk about for years. I know, because that is what I did. In 2002 Lotus only produced 100 of their 25th Anniversary Edition Lotus Esprit V8 Twin Turbo and this one is #74. The last major change Lotus did to the Esprit until they stopped production in 2004 was to switch to the round taillights in 2002. After 10,675 Esprit were made and 28 years after they started, Lotus stopped production on one of the most beautiful cars ever built. Julia Thompson, the designer of this body style, started the new updating in 1993, with 2002 being the last year of the last round of major changes (taillamps). The car is beautiful and yes you will get your picture taken while driving, while it is parked and you will hear all sorts of wild guesses as to what it is as unknowing males try to impress their equally unknowing girlfriends to their car knowledge. I have been told it is a Ferrari, a Bugatti, to a secret Corvette. I am not sure why people will tell you what you drive, instead of asking, but they will. If you are looking for a car that will keep you unnoticed, go buy a Porsche, as this is NOT the car. I bought the car for my wife on 11/29/2010 as a Christmas Present for her from Boardwalk Porsche with 21,541 miles. In the last 5 years we have only put 2700 miles but those have been some fun miles. I live on a street with 7 Ferraris (including a F40 and a F50), one Underground Racing Lambo, and a couple of Porsches, but mine gets the mailman to stop and take pictures. In the only car show we put it in, it one first place at the Boardwalk Spring Concorso on April 14, 2012 for the British Class. They used to have pictures up so you might be able to use your favorite search engine and see this beautiful car in action. Notes/Work done on the car: 1. The car has a clear screen on the front. 2. I replaced the clutch last year ($8k). 3. I replaced the battery with an Optima battery with a trickle charger setup. I will include the setup with the car. 4. The car has been completely checked out, and you will see from the pictures with the car on, no idiot lights are lit. A. Timing Belts have been changed to JAE BLUE timing Belts. B. All four Oxygen Sensors where changed as well. C. Also changed the a small Oil Hose, Idler Serp Pully and the Crankshaft position sensor. They were not “bad” but they a normal failure parts that are very easy to replace when replacing the Belts. D. All this work was done by Small Car World a very well respected Lotus service shop. If you have any questions you can call Richard and he can talk about the car. If you have the opportunity to go see his shop you should. There were a dozen or more Lotuses and very specialized British race cars from all years. 5. Tires are great, and nothing is leaking from any portion. 6. The glass is all perfect and the seats are great. I had new Gas Lift Shocks added to even the hatch stays open by itself. Don't laugh, those things are very expensive! 7. Sometime in it past the car had a cat back system installed and it sounds awesome. 8. I know of nothing wrong with the car except that the wife does not drive it now and this kind of car begs to be driven. With her not driving it, medical conditions, and myself being more of a convertible man, it is time for the next lucky person. 9. I also have the Services Manual included with car. 10. One of the last of the 4-cylinder cars in perhaps the best color. In the early ’90 a fellow, Doc Bundy, was racing Esprits with success. Many of the handling improvements he developed were incorporated into the S4 resulting in a car that is immensely enjoyable to drive. Many regard the ’94 & ’95 S4 and S4S as the best of the Esprits. I've owned this one for 8 years. There is no known damage history and it's in stock condition. The engine was rebuilt about 4k miles ago by an expert engine builder. This builder has assembled several engines for me over the years and, without exception they all have exceeded expectations. It was rebuilt because the timing belt broke and the valves hit the pistons. The rebuild included a new crankshaft, exhaust manifold and JE pistons with ceramic &Teflon coatings. The engine accessories (starter, alternator, water pump and A/C compressor) were replaced with new units. The turbo was rebuilt and inter-cooler water pump was replaced with an electric unit. The clutch was replaced when the engine was done. A/C blows cold air, the radio play and there are no known problems. Note the V8-style valance and dual exhaust. Cosmetically, the car is in very nice condition. There are a few minor defects in the paint that can be seen in the photos. The driver’s seat shows the typical wear on the bolsters. There is a 3M invisible bra on the front. The scuff marks seen on the driver’s side door sill are only in the 3M material that was applied here also. The driver’s side door gasket has minor damage from shoes hitting it on entry and exit. The cigarette lighter is missing and the liner on the removable top is loose but is intact. The headlight mechanisms were gone through recently. The wheels were blasted and powder-coated in a silver/grey color with just a hint of green. The brakes were done a while back with upgraded rotors and the anti-lock brake accumulator replaced. The tires, Yokohama S-Drives, are about half worn. Smog test just done and passed with low emissions. While I admit I've run it up through the gears a few times and sometimes push the limits in the corners the car has been well treated. We've gone a few road-trips but mostly it has been an occasional around-town driver. I've not raced it or taken it to the track. Truly a nice car that can be driven in confidence. Comes with the complete factory workshop manual, the leather-bound owner’s book and a custom-fitted color-matching cover. The car is a joy to drive. And easy to live with. This is a great buy for someone. REGARDING THE AUTOCHECK REPORT: There are NO title or lien issues with this vehicle. I paid cash for it in 2007 and never had any kind loan or lien on it. There also seems to be some concern about the odometer reading; I have no reason to think the number reported is not correct. AUTOCHECK told me the mileage reported to MN in 2002 was incorrect and I needed to contact the MN DMV or provide evidence of the error. I guarantee the title is clear and the mileage is correct.

For Sale: Three-owner 2002 Lotus Esprit V8 25th Anniversary Edition. This car is #26 of 100 imported to the USA. It features the preferred round taillights, factory front chin spoiler from the Esprit Sport 350, Lotus embossed seats and aluminum interior fittings. Most of this car’s early days were spent in the dry climate of Texas. It then went to Virginia where it was owned and driven by a car dealer and was purchased by a New Jersey resident who traded it to us for a Lotus Evora. This Esprit V8 is in very good overall condition. The interior leather is smooth, soft, and unblemished. The seams and bolsters are fine. The dash has no splits or damage. The carpets have been protected by Lotus logo mats. We do not know the first two owners but the third was a non-smoker and there is smoke-smell in the car. The exterior silver metallic paint is in good condition. There is a stone chip on the front air dam. It is shown in close-up in one of the photos. There is a touched-up chip in the paint on the rear wing about ½” in diameter. There are no other significant chips or any dents. The right front and right rear OZ wheels have small nicks in the rims. The driver side wheels are excellent. Front tread depth is 9/32” both sides and rear is 6/32” both sides. Everything works including a/c, all gauges, power windows, pop-up headlights, brake lights, turn signals, wipers, am/fm/cd, power door locks, etc. This car does not have the clear panoramic roof panel. It has the body color, removable one. We do not have service records. There are tools and spare tire. It has a clean Carfax®. This car starts easily and runs great. 2002 Jeep Liberty 3.7 in very good condition other than the right head has dropped a valve seat on # 2 cylinder . Rebuilt upgraded heads are aprox. $450.This motor had a early design flaw that affected the #1 and #2 cylinders with a lack of cooling which caused the "loose tolerance" valve seats to fall out.The rebuilt heads available have this problem solved. The Jeep runs enough to drive it onto a flatbed or trailer. The good points are that it has a new power steering pump,new rear brakes with new drums and a brand new fuel pump with less than 1 hour on it.( originally thought fuel pump was bad while my son was in school in Philadelphia but it turned out to be the valve seat).It also has new rear tires. Inspection of # 2 cylinder with a bore scope shows that the piston top and cylinder walls appeared good with some valve seat material sitting on top.The jeep has been in our family for some time and has been great,i have too many things to work on ( Lotus Turbo Esprit,TVR ect...) and just don't have the time to swap the head.The 4 wheel drive works great and my son used this as his daily driver for 6 years with myself doing all of the fluid changes ( Mobil 1) and maintenance.The Jeep is straight as an arrow and never been bent.Some minor rust on the bottom of drivers door.
