For sale is my 04 Subaru FXT, 160k on the clock, motor has around 135k, tranny around 115k. The car is currently tuned about 80%. It's not to it's full capacity, its running wastegate pressure so only around 7-9psi on the TD05. It runs and drives fine but only about 7-9psi on boost. Here is the bad: Front bumper was cut to fit fmic. I plan on smoothing the cuts but I was test fitting and thats where I left it. Held on by zipties for now until I can order clips.Dent on the front left quarter panel, scratch/dent on 5th door, scratches all around (its 10 years old)Missing interior rear cupholder, sunglasses holder.Driverside seat heater switch doesnt work, heater works.Driver side door handle broke, works, have cable sticking out so you can still open the door.Clunk coming from steering when maxed out, could be rack or endlinks.Front wheel bearing going out, have new sti spindles w/ wheel bearing, just have to switch them out.Oil leak coming from the valve covers, smokes when warmed up and idling when it drips on the exhaust.CEL periodically comes on and off, from the oil valves controlling the cams. I have the oil valves, just have to replace them when the valve cover gasket gets replaced with an oil change. 2004 Subaru Forester XT AutomaticI bought this car with a rod knock a month ago and replaced the engine with a rebuilt short block. I also replaced the turbo amongst some other odds and ends, but unfortunately the new motor is making a noise now. I am not sure if it is repairable or needs to be replaced. At this point I just wish to cut ties with the vehicle and move on.This car is very clean inside and out with only minor blemishes. Nice leather interior that is nearly mint condition with the exception of a very small spot on the drivers seat where a few stitches came loose.The exterior is about an 8.5/10 with some minor parking lot dings. Good 6CD factory stereoHuge sunroofHeated seatsClimate control (AC works great)Front tires have less than 100 miles on them (yes 100) and the rears have about 50% life left.The only other issues with this car are a very small crack on the very bottom of the windshield and its missing the 2 back headrest. Car is obviously sold as is and no warranty is expressed. I would prefer the vehicle be checked out by buyers or at least some correspondence from potential buyers. Thank you.

We use this vehicle on the weekends. It is in very good condition with low miles. The tires are essentially new and top of the line Cooper high speed rated tires. The battery is new and also top of the line. The fluids are changed on schedule. The AC fluids have just been recharged. It is regularly cleaned and we dont smoke. The engine is completely stock. It is the same 2.5 liter, turbo charged boxer engine as in the WRX models. I believe it produces 210hp and 235lbs of torque. All wheel drive, obviously. Fully loaded with black leather interior which is also in excellent condition. Everything works. Two sets of keys with remotes. It is a great car, we just need something bigger for our growing family. It seemed the perfect antidote to lust for large sport-utility vehicles -- an agreeably modest offering in the midst of motorized bacchanalia. The Forester represented good wheels. It was large enough to carry a family of five but small enough to escape the stigma of being an SUV. It came with standard all-wheel drive, a more benign and arguably more useful form of four-wheel drive for urban and suburban motorists. All-wheel drive automatically transfers power from slipping to gripping wheels. It is engineered to keep you on-road in rain and snow. Traditional four-wheel drive uses locking differentials to simultaneously send drive power to all four wheels. It's designed to take you over rocks and through streams and bush -- and keep you on the go. Forester owners are mostly urban and suburban. Over the past six years, they've had few complaints about the Forester's reliability or overall quality. But many have demanded more horsepower. Thus, we have this week's test vehicle, the 2004 Forester 2.5 XT. It is ugly, as is the case with most Subarus. But it performs beautifully. It will knock your socks off -- and strip you of everything else you're wearing, too! Subaru has installed a turbocharged, 2.5-liter, 210-horsepower engine in the Forester 2.5 XT. That's up from 165 horsepower in the normally aspirated four-cylinder model -- "normally aspirated" meaning an engine that uses no extra device, such as a turbocharger or supercharger, to take air into its combustion chambers. You can feel the difference. There is a certain whoosh to the 2.5 XT. Initially it is both surprising and disconcerting, especially if you've become accustomed to the gentle acceleration of the regular Forester. Drop the 2.5 XT's standard four-speed automatic transmission into "drive." Hit the accelerator and, whoosh, you're off to Zoomsville. That's rather odd, considering the Forester's basic, homely personality. Despite its extra power and improved handling, the 2.5 XT pretty much remains the Forester it has been all along. It is filled with the requisite storage bins and cup holders. There is something inherently parental in its personality. The body remains an ode to all things square and rectangular, with the exception of the redesigned rear hatch, which embraces trapezoidal and triangular geometric themes. The one indication that the 2.5 XT is different from its other Forester siblings sits atop the hood. It is a functional air scoop, put there to further assist the engine's breathing. It seems totally out of place on and out of character for the Forester -- like something a teenager would stick on his first car with little regard for taste or what looks good. There isn't much in the 2 .5 XT's interior to counter that ugliness, not even in the tested version with the "Premium Package," which includes leather seats. Subaru has yet to divorce itself from its utilitarian passion for interiors beige, black and gray. It needs to discover color and take some chances using it. Here's hoping that Subaru's executives might one day give to their designers and stylists the same freedom they've now given to their engineers, who are turning out hot-to-trot models such as the Forester 2.5 XT wagon and the very successful Impreza WRX.

You are looking a 2004 Subaru Forester 2.5XT Turbo with Automatic trans and yes it only has 48,000 actual miles on it. I have owned it for almost 2 year without any major issues. Just a few small ones which I will list and have been repaired. A leaky radiator being the biggest issue which was replaced and upgraded. I will list all the new parts and upgrades all which were replaced in the last 25,000 miles. Only reason I am selling is I need a car with greater mpg as with my new job make me travel farther. It has been a great family car for my family of 4. The car is currently running a full Cobb Stage 2 tune from the Cobb Accessport V3 which also includes the Cobb Factory Replacement High Flow Air Cleaner, Cobb Catted Downpipe and Forester specific Invidia G200 Cat back exhuast system which just add a nice boxer engine rumble noise to the car. Not loud at all. All these parts are currently on the car and yes the Accessport will come with it. The complete stock system will also come with the car. The car is not perfect it is 11 years old. I'd give the body an 7 out 10 and interior an 8 out of 10. No rust anywhere on the car. Overall it's pretty clean. I do have it professional detail every spring.
