1966 Ford Mustang Convertible. 289 V8+FACTORY A/C. 59,000 miles. NICE! 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible Listed on behalf of Monte Shelton Motors. Built April 20, 1966, this Mustang was sold May 6, 1966 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and remained with the original owners for the next 39 years. During their ownership the car was sparingly driven and received a high-quality complete repaint in Mustang "Springtime Yellow" color. Shortly before selling the car to the second owner in 2005, all of the mechanical systems were reconditioned, including: rebuilt brake system (new master cylinder, wheel cylinders, hoses, backing plates, axle seals, etc.), fuel system (new gas tank, fuel pump, carburetor rebuild), Cooling system (including new radiator core, hoses, A/C service, etc.) new exhaust system (muffler, pipes and hangers), steering system (new slave cylinder), new engine mounts, complete tune-up, tires rebalanced, and more. The second owner used the car sparingly until 2014 and it is now being made available. Today, this is an excellent Mustang with just 59,585 actual miles since new. There is NO RUST. No indication of any accidents, damage or abuse. Paint was just wet sanded and polished and is beautiful. Interior is original and in exceptional condition. Please see photos. This car runs and drives without fault. The 289 V8 operates as a low-mileage, well-maintained car should. (See video.) Automatic transmission shifts well. Brakes are good. All accessories work including the original factory air conditioning. Top is original and in exceptional condition. Operates up and down quickly. Chrome and trim are excellent.
