This incredible Mercury kustom! With the universal appeal of high dollar eye candy, and the road going prowess of a fully sorted cruiser, this slick Monterey is a unique, well built classic that provides its owner the best of both worlds. And what's better: you can have your show stopper and drive it too for a fraction of the money and time it takes to complete a ground-up build. If you're an anxious buyer who's tired of the 'garage furniture' culture that seems to pervade the classic car hobby, this stunning Merc is one of the coolest road-ready customs your money can buy! BODYWORK/TRIM Purchased in 2008 as a fully restored driver, this slick hardtop has been carefully finessed into a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Of course, every work of art needs a solid canvas, and under the car's many modifications you'll find solid steel that, based on appearance, has never been botched or wrinkled in any significant way. That smooth surfacing makes for a super clean profile that's been laboriously block-sanded and covered in a stunning combination of Ford Red Candy Metallic and Jet Black 2-stage. And ultimately, the car debuted as an excellent looking classic that walks a fine line between traditional street rod swing and outrageous SoCal flair. A kustom in the truest sense of the term, this Merc gets cues from a variety sources both literal and figurative. At the front of the car, a lightly massaged grille frames frenched headlights, a factory-spec bumper, and a '50 Ford hood that's been nosed and louvered. Behind that hood, factory-tint glass founds mirrored wipers and straight stainless frames beneath small vent visors and a modified, NOS windshield visor. Beneath that glass, '55 Pontiac profile trim perfectly complements factory rocker guards and factory fender skirts. At the edges of that trim, Buick-style portholes and correct Monterey badging add a little form while traditional door handles and classy mirrors instill a little function. And at the back of the car, dualed '95 Cadillac taillights frame a decked trunk and an Impala-branded fuel filler above a snazzy '55 Pontiac bumper. ENGINE Many Dearborn kustoms get by on traditional flathead power. And I do mean "get by" in the most literal sense of the phrase. While extremely cool, and chock full of character, flatheads aren't particularly known for earth-shaking performance when strapped to heavy '50s metal. Sourced directly from GM Performance Parts, this Merc's sprier personality comes courtesy of a 350 cubic inch ZZ4 crate engine that twists stout 10 to 1 compression into 355 horsepower and 405 lb./ft. of torque. The mean motor's energy mixture is supplied by a coated Holley carburetor, which is sandwiched between an Edelbrock Performer intake and polished, transverse air cleaner. That mixture travels in to aluminum L98 cylinder heads, which hang polished valve covers and polished breathers over stamped rocker arms and hypereutectic pistons. That valvetrain combusts thanks to a forged, internally-balanced crank, powdered connecting rods and a billet cam. Fire for that combustion comes courtesy of a modern HEI distributor and Autolite Professional Series plug wires. That fire is kept in check by a beefy radiator, which is mated to chrome flex hoses and a polished expansion tank. Traditional V-belts spin a rebuilt alternator opposite a modern AC compressor while spent gases are cycled through iron GM manifolds. And first-rate details include: an Optima battery, a small pressure gauge, a Wilwood proportioning valve and a Holley fuel regulator. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Every good street rod has a solid foundation. Flip this polished classic upside down and you'll find a roster of mechanical improvements that mix vintage looks with modern mobility. Behind the small block, a tough 700R4 4-speed features an adjustable lock-up converter. That gearbox drives a sturdy, highway friendly axle, which rides on traditional leaf springs and small lowering blocks. Opposite that axle, an independent front-half features power rack-and-pinion steering. Power front disc and rear drum brakes are a welcome addition and big performance upgrade. There's a true-dual exhaust system that mixes throaty Magnaflow mufflers with polished stainless tips. And everything rides on old school steelies, which spin 215/75R15 Dean Alpha 365 whitewalls around what appear to be '50s Dodge hubcaps. INTERIOR Like its solid mechanicals and striking body, this Monterey's interior is an eclectic mix of bests. A '59 Chevy dash hangs modern air conditioning, clear Dolphin telemetry and a crisp Sony CD player between a Guide traffic light viewer and 12-volt power outlets. In front of that dash, '66 Thunderbird seats feature power adjustment for the car's driver. Between those seats, a custom oil pan console tops premium carpet, which is protected by piped and color-keyed floor mats. That dash, seat and carpet trifecta is cased in a tight headliner and classy factory door panels. In front of the driver, a modern tilt steering column bridges the gap between a '59 Impala wheel and digital gear selector. And behind the passengers, a fully finished trunk hides a small spare tire. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATION AND ACCESSORIESA trophy awarded to the car at a local cruise-in This striking Merc is a nicely finished classic that was built to be driven AND seen. It uses top-notch components from some of the best names in the business to create a unique kustom that mixes killer personality with awesome curb appeal. That's because with this 1991 Chevrolet Camaro you're driving a top-of-the-line sportscar, that only gets better with Chevy's top-of-the-line motor. It's not hard to love a Z/28 like this. Either you had one, or envied one at some time in your life. And just like Ray-Ban Aviators, these really never went out of style. There was just something about the sharp-edge styling, and ground effects, that made these the kings of the boulevards in the 1980s and 90s. Of course, the one option you absolutely had to have with these cars was the distinctive 16-inch five-spoke wheels that were redesigned for '91. In fact, this coupe's original metallic red is the perfect hue to highlight the new aggressive bodykit and spoiler that make these later 3rd gen cars so distinctive. Yup, you're looking a true survivor right down to the amazingly preserved paintwork. Inside is a gray and black interior has also been preserved in near perfect condition, so it has that great "let's get to business of driving" appearance. When you slip behind the wheel, you'll feel the high-backed bucket seats giving modern support. They have held up fairly well over nearly a quarter of a century (much better than any other we have seen), and their original condition is highlighted by the "Camaro" stitched into the lower back padding. Like any good Z/28, this one came loaded, including power windows, power locks, tilt steering, and cruise control. There are also provisions for air conditioning. Having a modern classic like this means you even get a factory airbag. In fact, the whole interior looks like its came straight from the Van Nuys, California factory in all areas except one...because this is perfect for cruising, there is the nice modern upgrade to an AM/FM/CD stereo (not surprisingly since nearly everyone went aftermarket in this area). Under the hood is where this Camaro becomes even more desirable. It has the optional L98, 350 cubic-inch, fuel-injected V8 that was shared with the Corvette. This numbers-matching motor was the true performance powerplant from Chevy at the time, and it's one of the first things people look for in collect-ability. This V8 could only be mated to the stout 700R4 four-speed automatic because the motor made too much power for GM's five-speed manual of the day. The overdrive transmission also makes this coupe the perfect cruiser, when pared with the power steering, and front disc brakes. This is a true cherished classic, that has only averaged about 4,000 miles annually since new. You also get the full car show packet with this Z/28, that includes maintenance records, original window sticker, and owner's manual. This is the Camaro that you dreamed about in your adolescence, and you now know you can get your high school dream at such an affordable price! While it's hard not to love a good set of flames, brand loyalty can definitely stand between some enthusiasts and a Ford. Heck, even if you're a blue oval diehard, it's still nice to see something different every now and then. That's why this 1937 Chevrolet Business Coupe is such a refreshing change of pace. A lot of time, money and effort was invested into making this classic the baddest bowtie on the block, and the quality of that plight shows throughout. From its custom chassis and ZZ4 350 to its Mercedes paint and plush leather interior, the car features the best of everything without drifting in to the dreaded 'too nice to drive' territory. If you're ready to experience a different kind of rod, which can be obtained for a fraction of the hobby's typical build cost, take a minute to learn more about this killer Chevy. BODYWORK/TRIM This clean coupe's solid steel fuselage began life as a run-of-the-mill commuter that would stay out of trouble for close to 70 years. In 2003, a Carolina rod builder by the name of Benny Proctor initiated a celebrity-style restoration that included silky Mercedes-Benz paint. And today, after spending its entire post-restoration existence in the hands of one meticulous owner, the car rolls as a fully sorted classic that's nice enough to set up shop on the front row of the cruise in. Notable ancillary items include a stainless grille, Hagen headlights, tinted glass, shaved doors, a shaved electric trunk and LED tail lamps. And details like satin markers, small mirrors, chrome bumpers and a billet Center High Mount Stop Lamp create a condensed and classy appearance. ENGINE Take a look under this Chevy's winged hood and you'll find a hot GM Performance Parts ZZ4 350 that utilizes a forged crank, powdered rods, a hydraulic cam and hypereutectic pistons to turn stout 10 to 1 compression into 355 horsepower and 405 lb./ft. of torque. At the top of the smooth-spinning mill, a coated Edelbrock carburetor is sequenced behind an Edelbrock filter, braided hoses and a mechanical Holley pump. That fuel source rides between a polished air cleaner, L98 Corvette heads and a dual-plane aluminum intake. At the back of that intake, an HEI distributor sequences fire between Ron Francis wiring and loomed Taylor cables. At the front of those cables, billet pulleys spin a chrome alternator and polished AC compressor above a high volume water pump. Cooling comes courtesy of a big Walker radiator that's finished with a Cooling Components puller fan. Exhaust makes haste through Sanderson block hugger headers. And, aesthetically, the car's smooth engine bay is super clean, all the way from its big block firewall and polished valve covers to its black engine skin and trick dipsticks. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Toss this coupe on a lift and you'll find solid floorpans that frame modern aftermarket components with a subdued coat of Satin Black paint. Behind the smooth-revving small block, a Corvette-sourced 700R4 4-speed twists power to an 8-inch Ford axle and friendly 3.55 gears. Beneath that drivetrain, a completely rebuilt suspension employs traditional leaf springs behind a Mustang II front clip that's fitted with Flaming River rack-and-pinion steering and Pole Position Racing control arms. Master Power Brakes power disc and drums provide quick, drama-free stops. Charred dinosaurs float from the aforementioned headers in to a 2.5-inch exhaust system, which positions rowdy Flowmaster mufflers in front of polished Megs tips. Torque transitions to the pavement through American Racing Torq Thrust Ds, which spin 205/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As in front of 235/70R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As. And everything, from the car's undercoated fenders to its Rock Valley stainless fuel tank, is solid, fully sorted and ready to cruise. INTERIOR Like most ground-up builds, this Chevy features a completely custom interior. That insulated and bowtie-themed cockpit is trimmed in custom sills, color-keyed floor mats, billet foot pedals, billet door handles, a Lokar shifter and high quality VDO gauges. Remote Dakota Digital door latches provide access. A Glide split-bench seat feels like the perfect place to spend a Saturday afternoon. Power windows and Hot Rod climate control afford the ability to cruise in any season. A premium Custom Autosound audio system determines the soundtrack. In front of the driver, a polished Lecarra steering wheel spins around a tilting Flaming River column. And behind the passengers, a carpeted and upholstered trunk features a large amount of storage space. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONA 1937 Chevrolet dealer brochureA 1937 Chevrolet Shop ManualA small album of restoration photosA stack of restoration receiptsA stack of component manuals A lot of street rods claim to be the total package, but this '37 Chevy actually backs that talk up. The stout 350 has surprisingly good manners and, paired with the car's smooth-shifting automatic and accessory-heavy interior, serves as the basis for one of the most comfortable hot rods we've seen. Buy it for the bowtie... Buy it for the build quality... Whatever you do, just make sure to buy it quickly because quality customs like this don't have a habit of sticking around. Some builds are dated and need to be modernized, while others are so thoroughly modern they'll be dated by next year. One of the best bets you can place is on a timeless creation like this impressive Ford pickup. It's a fully sorted masterpiece that was carefully planned and bolted together by someone who definitely knew their way around a garage. The parts list includes familiar items like a small block V8, a smooth shifting 4-speed, brilliant paint and a thoroughly tweaked interior; but the execution of those items is what sets the truck apart. If you've been searching for a super cool hot rod that can be driven and shown with pride, this impressive Ford is the perfect solution! BODYWORK/TRIM The hot pickup's smooth and solid body began life as a run-of-the-mill -ton that was maintained, driven and paraded for most of its existence. During a detailed, frame-off restoration, that old school metal was stripped, sanded, married to fiberglass rear fenders and layered in brilliant House Of Kolor Cobalt 2-stage. That 2-stage, applied by Chewning's Unlimited of Mooresville, North Carolina, was complemented with a fresh wood bed, stainless skid strips and light blue pin striping. That highly detailed striping dances around Advanced Plating chrome, factory heat extractors, smoked glass and modern mirrors. Vintage-look headlights, fiberglass running boards, traditional door handles and a small wiper ensure excellent functionality. Massaged front fenders and a custom grille shell join a smoothed cargo box, a custom roll pan and slick LED tail lamps to provide the simple yet unique perfection that characterizes timeless street rodding. And today, this sharp pickup is one sizzling classic that looks cooler than pretty much every car at any show its owner chooses to attend! ENGINE When that owner purchased this Ford it was all flathead, all the way. And, while the flathead is a nice novelty that provides a really authentic ownership experience, serious road chops require serious upgrades. Sourced directly from GM Performance Parts, the truck's serious chops come in the form of a 350 cubic inch ZZ4 crate engine that twists stout 10 to 1 compression into 355 horsepower and 405 lb./ft. of torque. The mean motor's energy mixture is supplied by a coated carburetor, which is sandwiched between a polished, dual-plane intake and chrome, low-profile air cleaner. That mixture travels in to aluminum L98 cylinder heads, which hang chrome valve covers and chrome breathers over stamped rocker arms and hypereutectic pistons. That valvetrain combusts thanks to a forged, internally-balanced crank, powdered connecting rods and a billet cam. Fire for that combustion comes courtesy of a Delco-Remy HEI distributor and loomed Taylor plug wires. That fire is kept in check by a Griffin aluminum radiator, which is mated to chrome flex hoses, a polished overflow tank and a big electric puller fan. Traditional V-belts spin a polished alternator opposite a polished AC compressor while spent gases are cycled through coated Sanderson block huggers. And first-rate details, like braided fluid lines, trick dipsticks and a Lokar throttle linkage, ensure this Chevy Orange mill is more than just a random curbside attraction. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Every good street rod has a solid foundation. Flip this Ford upside down and you'll find a roster of mechanical improvements that mix classic looks with modern mobility. A beefy 700R4 4-speed, sourced directly from TCI Auto, spins power through a 2,000 RPM stall converter to an 8-inch Ford axle. That tough drivetrain rides on a full Fatman Fabrications frame, which mixes a Mustang II-style front half with traditional rear leafs. Modern rack-and-pinion steering is a welcome addition, and fresh front disc and rear drum brakes are a big performance upgrade. There's a coated exhaust system that snakes through polished, Flowmaster Hushpower II mufflers and square stainless tips. Everything rides on shielded Budnik wheels, which spin 185/75R14 Kumho Solus KR21s in front of 235/75R15 Michelin Radial XH4s. And items like stainless fluid lines, a finned transmission cooler and a 15-gallon Rock Valley fuel tank, filled through an electronically actuated bed plank, finish an otherwise impressive canvas. INTERIOR Decked in rich leather, this pickup's classy and vibrant cockpit was professionally installed by Chuck Hanna's Hot Rod Interiors of Mooresville, North Carolina. A body-matched dash hangs chrome-trimmed VDO telemetry, modern Vintage Air climate control and a polished, "V8" branded glovebox between billet foot pedals, a tilting Ididit steering column and a half-wrapped, Colorado Customs Fire wheel. In front of that dash, an Ostrich-trimmed TEA's Design seat, partitioned for the driver and one lucky passenger, seems appropriate to the quality of the truck's restoration. At the bottom of that seat, a sleek combination of carpet and leather centers a short Lokar shifter and polished emergency brake lever between custom kick panels. At the sides of the passengers, sculpted door skins position long pulls beneath billet handles, chrome window switches and cool Ostrich accents, which reflect perfectly in the aforementioned dash. And, professionally installed Sony audio, which makes excellent use of fresh Painless wiring, rides inside a custom headliner that's stretched between custom cab panels, a polished rearview mirror and an Ostrich-trimmed windshield frame. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONRestoration photosRestoration receipts '30s Fords have aged with more grace than most, wearing a design that's still capable of turning heads in its basic factory form. The restorer's decision to leave those basics alone and make only time-tested adjustments is a huge part of why this truck works so well. With its spry motor, smooth-shifting 4-speed, comfortable interior and vintage swagger, you'll never tire of finding this custom in your garage. Stop watching opportunity pass you by. Chevy fans, feeling left out in the cold when it comes to mid-30s hot rods? Look no further than this sharp 1935 Chevy cabriolet, which has similar styling to the more common \'34 Ford but offers a bowtie twist and extensive recent service so it\'s ready to cruise this summer. The body is by Downs Fiberglass and accurately captures the unique Chevy shape, which is streamlined like many mid-30s cars but still has upright classic design cues. Flowing fenders, a V-shaped grille, and a curvaceous deck lid give it a sleek look a look emphasized by the chopped windshield and relative lack of ornamentation. The fiberglass is nicely finished and still looks great even though it was finished in 2005. Bright red paint stands out and doesn\'t need graphics or pinstripes to look fantastic. The chunky body looks more muscular than your run-of-the-mill Ford cabriolet. The wide grille has a shiny insert flanked by a pair of King-Bee-style headlamps, but any evidence of bumpers or other extraneous trim has been neatly exorcised from the body. Out back, LED taillights are neatly integrated into the tail pan, along with a recessed license plate frame, and please take a moment to note how neatly the body molding wraps around the lower valence and into the rear fenders, a very trick detail. Despite the vintage look, the driver\'s compartment is state-of-the-art in street rods, with a fully custom ultra-leather interior, bucket seats, and all the creature comforts. Low-back buckets are comfortable and stylish, and thanks to the wide doors that open almost 90-degrees to the body, climbing in is easy, even with the top in place. Custom sisal carpets and floor mats, beautifully sculpted door panels, and a sleek digital dash are all evidence that price was no object during the build. A polished tilt steering column is topped by a custom billet steering wheel and there are discreet vents for the Vintage Air HVAC system. Auxiliary controls like the ignition switch, power windows, and light controls are all stashed under the dash where they\'re out of sight, as is the AM/FM/CD stereo system that\'s powerful enough to be heard at speed. The removable top is fully finished inside and out and the surprisingly spacious trunk will carry all your gear without complaint. I guess a small block Chevy in a Chevy rod shouldn\'t be ground-breaking, and the torquey L98 certainly looks at home under the pointed hood. Lots of chrome sets it apart and makes it look as good under the skin as it does outside and you\'ll note that the block itself has been color-matched to the bodywork. There\'s a big aluminum radiator up front and a billet accessory drive that tucks tight to the block for decent service access. Custom headers feed a fabricated dual exhaust system that wraps around the TCI frame. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission and a 9-inch Ford round out the driveline, and there are freshly rebuilt coil-over shocks at all four corners. Big-n-little Foose billet wheels give it a wicked rake and wear 225/40/18 front and 275/45/20 Nitto radials. With receipts for over $7000 worth of A/C and suspension work in November, this rod is road-ready and can certainly collect a few more trophies along the way. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom. For more information, please call (817) 764-8000 or toll free (855) 877-2707. Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>

This 1955 Chevy Bel Air is one of those shockingly gorgeous cars you see at shows but figure you\'ll never have a chance to own. Well, today is your lucky day, since this immaculate coupe, complete with all the modern conveniences, is available for a fraction of the cost of building your own and it\'s ready to go today! Traditional colors always work best, even if you\'re building a resto-mod or custom, and the Shoreline Beige over Copper Maroon combination on this \'55 is simply jaw-dropping in person. Your first impression is of a car that has been beautifully built, that someone sweated every little detail, and the workmanship is outstanding. All the bodywork is quite straight, and you can see how crisp the body lines and gaps are even in photographs, and the classic \'55 look never goes out of fashion. The paint is two-stage urethane, so the shine is impossibly deep, yet completely in tune with the resto-mod theme, combining modern technology with a vintage color. If you\'ve ever restored an old car, particularly one from the \'50s, you also know that the chrome is a major expense. I don\'t know what the final tally would be on this \'55, but the workmanship is extremely well done. Wow! Although it pays a passing tribute to the original look, the all-new interior continues the resto-mod theme, bringing modern technology inside and giving the Bel Air an incredibly elegant look. The front seat is a modern split bench with built-in armrests covered in gorgeous burgundy leather, and the driver\'s side is power-actuated. There are also new carpets on the floor, neatly finished door panels that show an artist at work, and a color-matched dashboard and tilt steering column. Look closer, however, and you\'ll note power windows, A/C, a very cool column shifter that controls four gears in the automatic transmission, not two, and a set of restored gauges in the original dash pod. The bright strip of trim across the entire dash is made up of tiny Chevy bowties, and an AM/FM radio has been installed in the dash, connected to a 6-disc CD changer and amplifier in the nicely finished trunk. Although it\'s buried under a ton of chrome, that\'s a bulletproof Chevy L98 under the hood. With lots of torque and the bonus of factory EFI behind it, it\'s one of the absolute best choices for a vintage Chevy rod. Totally detailed with everything you can see either polished, plated, or painted, there\'s no doubt this one was built to show AND go. Smart updates are everywhere, from the serpentine belt accessory drive to the compact power brake booster for the power front discs. The motor\'s linked to a 700R4 4-speed automatic and the original rear end, so it cruises effortlessly at any speed. The chassis is not detailed, but it\'s highly functional with a custom dual exhaust system newer gas tank, tube shocks, and new lines and hoses throughout. Polished Body Coddington billet wheels have been fitted and wear staggered 225/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear BFG radials that really fill the wheel wells properly. This pretty 1955 Chevy Bel Air is one of those cars that we can\'t possibly cover adequately here, and it really is as nice as it looks. 1940 Fords have to be in the top five of all-time great hot rods. Cars like this bright red Deluxe coupe never remain in our inventory for very long, and the combination of a great-looking steel body, sweet-running small block V8, and a spacious, luxurious interior suitable for cross-country trips make this a great choice for the guy who likes to drive. The body is steel, augmented with fiberglass fenders, but the look is 100% 1940 Ford. Few cars in 1940 were wearing bright red paint, but there\'s no denying that this flashy Ford looks right with that single-stage urethane on its curvaceous bodywork. Fit and finish are quite good, particularly on a rod that was built a few years ago, and even that pointed hood (which is always tough to make look right) sits flush with the fenders. It\'s been subtly shaved, with the most notable deletions being the bumpers, and the car takes on an all-new look with that sleek, pointed prow carving through the wind. The remaining brightwork is in excellent condition, including the fine-mesh grille, stainless side moldings, and the gorgeous \'Ford Deluxe\' script on either side of the hood. It\'s also nice to see steel running boards wrapped in rubber treads, which are not only functional but add some much-needed contrast to the body, giving this \'40 the \"right\" look. Looking as if it was inspired by the 1958 Impala\'s Tri-Tone upholstery, this cool coupe uses Lexus power bucket seats and some very skillfully stitched leather to create a very high-quality driver\'s compartment. With a very fresh look and styling that\'s quite appropriate in this high-visibility Ford, you\'d have no problems convincing your friends that it\'s a high-end luxury car if they didn\'t see the exterior. Custom door panels match the seats and add a sporty look and features like A/C, power windows, power seats, and a tilt steering column are included. The business coupe never had a back seat, so there\'s plenty of room for two with a custom-made storage area that includes a pair of speakers for the AM/FM/CD/iPod stereo system that\'s neatly kept out of sight. A wood-rimmed steering wheel and long Lokar shifter add some period appeal and the original instrument panel has been stuffed with Dakota Digital gauges for a very cool effect. The fully upholstered trunk looks great and uses gas struts to hold it open and a Cadillac pull-down to close it up, giving this car a very polished, OEM vibe throughout. Chevy\'s 350 cubic inch L98 Tuned-Port Injection V8 is perhaps the ultimate street rod engine. Smooth, torquey, and with an unbeaten reliability record, it just works the way you expect it to. Drenched in chrome, this particular engine is based around a ZZ3 crate motor from GM topped by factory fuel injection for easy running and great road manners. Everything that could be chromed was, and there\'s a lot of polished aluminum to go with it. Serpentine belt-driven accessories tuck in tight to the block and a custom exhaust system sounds appropriately hot-rod for a bright red Ford. The transmission is a TH350 3-speed automatic feeding a 9-inch Ford rear from a Mercury Cyclone. Heidt\'s supplied the independent front suspension, which also includes disc brakes, while the rear is on traditional leaf springs. Polished Torque Thrust wheels look familiar and carry beefy BFG radials. If you can\'t tell, we like this car a lot. It\'s a really impressive build that gets all the details right, making it a Ford that\'ll go anywhere and still show well. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom. Say what you want about C4 Corvettes, but even today they still represent awesome performance bang for the buck. Cars like this gorgeous 1991 coupe still deliver righteous performance and look great doing it, and if you want one of the best, this one shows just 4969 original miles (not a misprint). Great colors, low miles, no mods-yeah, this is the one to own. So many of these cars were plain old red, but only 1311 were given this incredible shade of Dark Red Metallic. Even if the name\'s a dud, the paint is drop-dead amazing in person, with a gold base that seems to shimmer when the sun hits it just right. It really emphasizes the Corvette\'s shape, with the 1991 redesign, the nose got leaner and cleaner, the rear end started to resemble big brother ZR1, and it became the definitive American sports car. With such low mileage, this one is every bit as nice as you\'d expect, with paint that has been rubbed and buffed and waxed on a regular basis, but never repainted or repaired and panels that fit exactly the way the factory put them together. Even the rear bumper shows zero cracks from flexing and the nose is unscuffed by parking lot curbs. Someone obviously loved this car from the moment they special-ordered it, and it presents today as a spectacular specimen of an iconic shape. Inside, the Saddle leather interior is an upscale choice with the Dark Red Metallic paint, giving it a sophisticated look that fits quite well with the Corvette\'s performance/luxury mission. The articulated sport seats show minimal wear and no damage, either from use or from UV rays, and the carpets and door panels are equally well preserved. As GM\'s flagship, the Corvette was packed with technology, including the combination analog/digital dashboard, automatic climate control, power everything, and a trip computer. The lift-off roof panel gives it an open-air feeling that dates back to the T-tops of the \'70s, and beneath the rear hatch there\'s actually decent storage. Everything works, of course, and with such care you shouldn\'t be surprised that it even smells new inside. Horsepower is compliments of Chevy\'s indestructible L98. With 350 cubic inches and 245 horsepower, it was a torque factory that could smite pesky Mustangs without even dropping into second gear. It\'s also one of the most modification-friendly engines ever built, so it\'s always remarkable to see one that\'s 100% original like this one, without even so much as an air filter upgrade. The only notable change is a swap to R134a refrigerant, which is always smart, but otherwise this one runs like you just rolled it off the truck. The chassis is spotless, the 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission is quicker than you are with a downshift, and the suspension was refined enough to be comfortable for cross-country trips and still competent on the track. And, of course, the Corvette\'s hallmark was always spectacular brakes, so the binders on this one will still detach your retinas. Chrome Z06 wheels add a lot of flash and wear fat 275/40/17 BFGoodrich radials. Gorgeous and fast, this is the kind of Corvette that will always find a home with collectors. Call today! Call today!
