We're proud to offer a classic moving up the ranks among collectors. 1971 AMC Javelin SST in excellent condition. Equipped with a 360 Cubic inch (5.9 Liter) engine- 4 barrel and 3 speed automatic- floor shifter. A very well sorted SST. Newly painted Matador Red with original white vinyl split roof. New carpet, headliner, and front seats. Very strong 360- fires right up with a low exhaust note. 85,000 original miles. New dual flow masters just installed. Car runs and drives as it should. Power steering rebuilt, manual brakes redone, new battery,distributor, plugs and wires, voltage regulator, and radiator recored. No cracks in the dash and door panels are in great shape. Back seat has not been redone, (original)- shows no cracks. Car is solid underneath. Evidence of metal replaced in the trunk- but done well with all steel. 1972 AMC Javelin was 304 auto now 360 auto. This car is a project. It does lot drive but is not ready for the road. Does have exhaust leak and a/c and p/s incomplete. There is no instrument cluster. Mileage unknown. Usual rust in quarters and rockers. Brakes and suspension seem good. Sold as is. Did I say project. I will not ship. Thanks

For sale in our Detroit showroom is a 1970 AMC AMX. The AMX is a two-seat GT-style sports car that was produced by American Motors Corporation from 1968 to 1970. The AMX was also classified as a muscle car, but differed from other American cars at the time because of its short wheelbase. The name AMX is actually an acronym for American Motors eXperimental, which was a code assigned to concept vehicles in the mid-sixties. The AMX was also the only American-built steel-bodied two-seater of its time, the first since the 1955-1957 Ford Thunderbird , and rivaled the only other two-seat American muscle car: the Chevrolet Corvette. With a short three-year production run, the AMX was discontinued in 1970, and was replaced by the Javelin from %26acirc;??71-%26acirc;??74. This wild AMX makes quite the statement with the Ranger Splash Purple covering the cool and vintage bodylines. Under the hood is a 360 V8 that has been bored out to a 390, and with the sides pipes, produces a loud rumble that will turn some heads every time the pedal hits the floor. Since 3 pedals make a classic a blast to cruise around in, this AMC has an M-22 Muncie 4-speed. To keep with the pro-street theme, the car has been backhalfed and tubbed to fit the huge 33X21.50-15LT Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires, and the rear end is a Ford 9-inch with a 5.13 gears. The interior has been worked on as well, and features a 10-point rollcage, and no back seat to make room for the rear tires. The dash features Autometer gauges to monitor engine functions, and the seats also have Simpson racing harnesses to firmly hold you in place during hard launches. Menu Price $19947.00! Beautifully restored 1973 Javelin in a period correct Bold Baby Blue! Originally a maroon car, she appears to have the original black interior. We believe she was purchased new right here in San Antonio. The 360cid motor was built by a well known machinist here in San Antonio and is mated to a manual 4spd transmission. Common in the seventies, a prior owner added the ram air holes in the air cleaner and the owner that did the restoration did do some minor rust repair. Overall, she is an excellent representation of an American muscle car from her time. The motor pulls strong, she drives fantastic, and would make an excellent addition to a collection and is priced has a great first car for an aspiring collector.
