It's 4.2L 6 cylinder engine is very reliable and peppy. Everything from the first aid kit that came with the car to the knobs on the radio are in impeccable shape. Exterior: The exterior of this car is flawless, zero rust and the 15 year old paint job still looks fantastic. All of the chrome trim and badges are in excellent shape and there is no pitting on the bumpers. The car has the original bumpers and glass, and also has new radial tires. Interior: The interior is just as clean as the exterior, the headliner is perfect. All of the switches and gauges are in working order, and there is no wear on the seats, it is a perfect example of an all original interior. There is also an updated and working radio in the glovebox. Drivetrain: The car is powered by a 258 ci 6 cylinder engine that is paired to a smooth and efficient automatic Torque-Command transmission. The car is very reliable and needs nothing to run, it starts up right away. The car has a new battery, and just received an oil change as well.

1971 AMC Matador Station Wagon, Nice 258 AMC Jeep Engine, straight 6 in good condition Have clear title, this was a running and driving car when parked in 1986, underbody is in fair to poor condition was a northern rust-belt car. Transmission was updated a few years before the jeep motor went in. Engine turns over, marvel mystery oil put down cylinders years ago. Only part I see missing is the “starter switch-relay” mounted on the top fender well. This is a sleeper car, the updated engine installed was from a Jeep a 258 cu-in with 50,000. miles and should be able to run again with little effort. Complete car sold as-is where parked. Car is in Seminole, Oklahoma for local Pick-up only. *** A good mechanic, or two...could decend on this car.... put 4 new E78-14 tires..."195-70-14" today's specification tires, spend a day or two going through all the fluids and brakes, put insurance on it, temp registration and drive it back home....I was tempted to do that myself.....if anyone else, has this plan....I could throw in 3 new tires 195-70-14 tires i have in my shed. Vehicle in good condition. Interior seats are in very good condition. Exterior in good condition. Lower fender behind right front tire has slight ripple in it. Previous owner repainted the car and replaced the vinyl top (sometime prior to 2000). Spare tire is probably original: tire size DR78. V8 engine runs very well. Car has dual exhaust but needs one new muffler. Water pump leaks slightly. Interior rear view mirror is cracked in middle. I bought the car in 2001 in Modesto, CA. Always kept in garage and driven occasionally.
