Crevier Classic Cars is pleased to offer our 1956 Austin Healey 100M Le Mans Roadster. This is a factory built 100M as documented by the Heritage Trust certificate and is a numbers matching example. The Austin Healey 100 M "Le Mans" "factory-built" sports cars were produced between September 5, 1955 and July 16, 1956. According to factory records discovered in July of 1985, only 640 of these 100 M cars were made. This figure is based on the factory build cards, which called for a louvered bonnet. This factory produced series was designated the M model by Donald Healey. Throughout its production run in the 1950s, the Austin-Healey was available in a variety of different model specifications. As befitting its competition background, a model was developed for racing: the 100S. This boasted alloy body panels in addition to a modified engine, and the model was entered in many of the classic endurance events such as Sebring, the Mille Miglia and Le Mans.As just 55 examples of the 100S had been built for competition work, Austin-Healey decided to capitalize on its success and offer some of the modifications to the ordinary customer. A Le Mans package was developed, and cars fitted with this were referred to as 100Ms. Modifications included a higher compression ratio, high-lift camshafts and larger SU carburetors. This increased power to 110bhp, compared to 90bhp for the standard car. Other identifying features included hood louvers and a leather hood strap. By the end of 1956, the original four-cylinder engine had been replaced with a six-cylinder unit. This meant that the 100M cars, built only in 1955 and 1956, were some of the last, original four-cylinder cars, and also some of the most desirable. The basic details of the history of this 1956 Austin-Healey 100M Roadster are set out on the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Production Record Trace Certificate that accompanies the car. Chassis number BN2-L/232183 was built as a left-hand drive 100M model at Austin’s Longbridge factory on 4, May 1956. It was destined for the Austin-Healey dealer in San Francisco. Extra equipment included a heater, a laminated windscreen, and a louvered hood (the latter was a particular feature of the 100M model). While the original owner is unknown, the car was owned from the early 70's through 2008 by one owner and then from 2008-current by the next. He restored the car at that time to his own requirements. This Austin-Healey is presented in good order with recent paint job by noted expert Scott Beckman. A very sound and desirable Austin-Healey, this 100M will provide its next owner with enjoyable, high-speed motoring in the best traditions of the classic British sports car. 1963 AUSTIN HEALEY BJ8 MARK 3000 This car is just amazing to both drive and look at ! With an older OE Gold standard restoration car that comes with a very unique color combo "Red Over Tan Interior with Red Carpet" that is 100% correct with 85,000 original miles it was completely restored to the highest Healey standards between 3-4,000 miles ago. If driving is believing then you will not be disappointed, During the O.E. Restoration every factory body paint dab and mark was authentically duplicated, the engine , transmission and complete drive line received the full attention of the restorer as did the body and has aged to a beautiful patina, no restoration needed here just jump in and enjoy. Recently the original points fuel pump was replaced with an electronic one for drive-ability, of course the original one comes with the car. After attending several shows years ago the owner added the chrome wires and wood wheel to give the car a personal touch. Over the last 10 plus years this vehicle has been enjoyed by a mature semi retired business person who hopes a new owner will give it the attention it deserves. Quality Fit and Finish are second to none as this was a no expense spared restoration using factory original parts The vehicle operates as you would expect, & the car rides like a dream. NO Issues. . 1955 AUSTIN HEALEY 100-4 BN-1 TWO-SEATER SPORTS ROADSTER. 3-SPEED WITH OVERDRIVE. WIRE WHEELS. CA BLACK LICENSE PLATE. ORIGINAL COLORS: OLDE ENGLISH WHITE WITH GREEN TRIM. VIN # BN1-L 225506BODY # 5267 / 8769ENG # 1B225506M Up for auction, here on Ebay, from KURT TANNER RESTORATIONS, is a 1955 Austin Healey 100-4 for restoration. This car was discovered in the San Francisco bay area after being stored since 1970, and now awaits a full restoration. Original factory color scheme appears to be Olde English White with Green trim. The trunk has some remnants of the original green Armacord. It is fitted with it's original 3-speed with overdrive gearbox and correct matching numbers drivetrain with the matching engine tag. It also still has it's correct VIN plate and body tag still attached to the firewall. The engine is stuck from sitting and would most likely need rebuilding. There are a few items missing on the car which are available new and some used. Please look at the photos of the loose parts, which are all included in the sale of the car. The car would need a bumper set, 2 overriders, an exhaust manifold, windshield glass, thermostat cover, 1 air cleaner, and some other misc. parts. The instruments (partially apart) and dashboard switches are in a box. There is a decent box of parts that came with the car including the wiper motor, fuel pump, body fittings, etc. The car includes some very hard to find items such as the softtop frame, complete windshield assembly, a decent set of seats, etc. The LH door and hood are currently not attached to the car. The car is fitted with an earlier alloy hood that has had some louvers installed. The frame appears generally solid with it's usual dings and dents, but after sandblasting could reveal some additional areas for repair. At one point, the car sustained damage to the RH chassis leg and fender bowl, which would need correcting/straightening during the restoration. There is some rust around the front of the RH leg, but seems localized to that area. Floors and trunk floor are original but scaly with some rust-through, and would also need repair, which is typical for a Healey of this era. Most of the outriggers appear reasonable. In general, the car needs a ground up restoration as any 60-year old Healey probably does that has been sitting all this time. But the end result is worthwhile, as the 100-4 model is becoming increasingly desirable as of late for its character, great looks, and simplicity. This car is located in Southern California and can be shown by appointment. It is sold with a current CA title. KURT TANNER RESTORATIONS. 909-920-9221, work. 909-241-1051, cell.

The Austin Motor Company spotted the car on the stand and needed a new sports car to compete with makes such as Jaguar, MG and Triumph. A deal was made between the two companies and the Austin Healey name was born. The Austin Healey BN-1 was produced between 1953 and 1955 before the BN-2 replacement came into production. In 1959 the 3000 MK I or “Big Healey” was a replacement to the 100 model and was given a larger 6 cylinder engine and disc brakes in the front. The 3000 MK II came into production in 1961 and was given 3 S.U. carburetors for more performance. Appearance was roughly the same with small minor changes. In October of 1963 the 3000 MK III was introduced and was only available as a 2+2 model. The 3000 MK III was the last iteration of the “Big Healey” and the largest output. In 1965 the final edition of the Healey was introduced with a face lifted interior and improved rear end suspension. 1967 was the final year of production for the Austin Healey 3000 and too many is the best year with only 3,051 produced. The final editions were known as the “Golden Healey’s” all painted Metallic Golden Beige with either black or red leather interior. European Motor Studio is proud to offer this stunning 1967 Austin Healey 3000 MK III BJ8 Phase 2 Roadster finished in a beautiful Metallic Golden Beige with Red leather interior and a black vinyl convertible top. This gorgeous “Golden Healey” was completed by the factory on May 10, 1967 and is a LHD American Export model. The car sold to its first owner on July 26, 1967 in Southern California where it lived for a while until moving to the Alabama sometime in the 90’s by the second owner. This Healey underwent a very extensive restoration between 2009 and 2010 and has been done to an incredibly high standard. The body came off the car and was stripped to bare metal and refinished in its correct Metallic Golden Beige color and the interior has been completely re-trimmed in its original Red leather interior. The car does have a brand new factory correct vinyl soft top and all of the glass is factory correct with the Austin Healey stampings. The whole entire engine and transmission came out of the car and was rebuilt using authentic Healey parts and everything was either painted, re-powder coated or sand blasted in their original colors the way the car left the factory in. The radiator just came out and was re-cored and painted in the proper colors. All of the chrome has been re plated, all of the body seals have been replaced, all four tires are new and the wire wheels have been re plated. The undercarriage of the car is spotless, the entire thing has been sand blasted and painted in correct colors. All of the wiring has been sorted through and replaced with correct factory parts. The car is fitted with factory overdrive and does work as it was designed to. The engine starts right up and idles superbly, the car shifts into gear with ease and accelerates without any issues. The clutch is new and feels excellent without any signs of slipping or grinding. The suspension feels very solid and tight as does the steering. The car does not drift or give any unusual vibrations. The brake master cylinder has just been replaced and the brakes feel very solid, free from any grinding or squeaking. The car comes with its original spare tire, the original knock off tool, the original jack, owners handbook, British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate and numerous receipts of restoration work. This is a stunning Austin Healey 3000 Mk III “Final Edition” in its correct factory colors and with its original matching numbers engine according to the engine plate and certificate. There are absolutely no signs of any prior damage or any rust anywhere on the car. The car comes with a clean and clear box A actual miles title. Today, it remains the most famous example of one ofthe definitive British sports cars of the 1950's and 1960's. Featuring audaciousgold-plated bright work, kid leather and mink upholstery, and realivory controls, this stunning car was conceived by Ken Gregory,Donald Healey's personal public-relations manager. As a successfulracer, team owner, and former personal manager of none other thanStirling Moss, Mr. Gregory clearly understood that something veryspecial was required at Earls Court to continue captivating Britain'smotor journalist and enthusiasts, despite Healey's limited marketingresources. While Gregory sold DonaldHealey on the promotional value of a radically outfitted 100-Six todominate the floor traffic at Earls Court, Healey quicklyreconsidered due to the projected costs. Undeterred, Gregorypersisted and finally obtained Healey's approval, provided a buyerwould commit to purchase the car at a fixed price. Following ameeting in a Fleet Street pub with Daily Express motoringcorrespondent Basil Cardew, who conveyed the proposal to his EditorTom Blackburn, the newspaper agreed to purchase the show car fromAustin-Healey and award it as the grand prize in a contest. With precious little time,a regular-production 100Six (model BN6, Two-seat) Roadster wasplucked from the Austin-Healey assembly line and prepared in secretafter regular working hours to maximize impact. While essentiallystock mechanically, Dunlop four-wheel disc brakes were fitted, makingthis 100-Six the only non-racing Healey so equipped. Brake servoswere also fitted, which were not to become standard until 1964. Aspecial ivory paint finish was applied, and all brightwork was platedin 24-karat gold,”...right down to the tiniest trimming washers andscrews: the wire wheels, disc brakes, bumpers and instruments weregive the same treatment,” as Gregory later recalled in hisautobiography. The cockpit was similarlyflamboyant, with the seats, dashboard, inner doors, and side panelsall trimmed in reversed champagne kid leather by Connolly. LuxuriousChampagne Diadem Mink by London furrier Lorna Doon Snow adorned theinserts and back squabs of the bucket seats. Genuine Ivory replacedthe normal plastic interior parts and control knobs, and the factorysteering wheel was replaced by one beautifully fashioned fromintricately joined sections of Ivory. Appropriately rounding out theincredible package, the Austin-Healey even included a gold-platedignition key and key ring, complete with a solid-gold scale replicaof the car itself! Valued at approximately?4,000nearly four times the price of a regular-production 100-Six, theEarls Court Motor Show car was dubbed “the most flirtatious car inthe Motor Show” by the Daily Express. Once unveiled, the specialHealey achieved its objective and took Earls Court by storm. A steadystream of press reports and excitement around the Daily Express'“Super Austin-Healey” contest, in addition to hordes ofonlookers, provided a massive public relation coup for Healey thatnormal advertising techniques never could. The Daily Express contestwinner sold the car almost immediately. Records on file in anextensive scrapbook confirm the very special 100-Six was firstroad-registered on February 25, 1959. Accounts of the car's earlyowners vary depending upon the source, but documented ownershiphistory pocks up again from 1969, with the car passing through anumber of owners until 1983, when the car was finally rescued andpurchased, sight unseen, after lengthy discussions and with the helpof a friend, by the highly respected marque experts Bruce and InanPhillips of Healey Surgeons, Soon after receiving the car, thePhillips were enthusiastically encouraged to restore it for theannual Healey Club show in Charlotte, North Carolina. Accordingly, the Phillips commenced a show-quality restoration of the car to itsoriginal glory, with the Healey completed in 1986. In addition to extensivemetalwork, the restoration included complete and accuratereproduction of the lavish kid leather and mink interior by Dundas,Ontario's Martin J. MacGregor Coach trimming. The bumpers and largerpieces of bright work including the windshield were sent to Englandfor replating, and the wire-spoke wheels were custom-made for the carby Dayton. The interior's ivory pieces remain original, including theirreplaceable steering wheel. For driving ease, a correct overdriveunit was installed during the restoration, with the associatedelectronics neatly tucked underneath the dash. During the restoration, aninteresting detail emerged. As recently related by Inan Phillips, some chassis work was evidently performed when the car was preparedfor Earls Court for Primarily cosmetic reasons. The unintended butwelcome consequence was a noticeably stiffer chassis, resulting inthe car's uncanny smoothness and solidity noted during an earlypost-restoration test drive. Unlike most restored cars, the ornate100-Six was driven to numerous shows by the Phillips family. Duringone memorable test drive, the car was opened up and clocked at 120MPH, with plenty more in reserve. As Inan Philips stated, the 100-Sixwas “one fantastic running and driving car...the smoothest drivingHealey we've ever owned.” During the Phillips tenure, several articles were published, including a number by Inan Phillipsfor the Austin-Healey Club newsletter and an article by John Matrasfor Autoweek. Healey enthusiasts were captivated by the resurrectionof the car, which by this time Mrs. Phillips had nicknamed “Goldie”and fittingly, Donald Healey saw the car following the restoration.Next, the famous 100-Six was displayed at numerous annual Healeygathering in the U.S. and Canada. Eventually. “Goldie”was sold by by Bruce and InanPhillips to the current owner through a mutual friend. Under the currentcaretaker, “Goldie: was displayed at the prestigious 2012 Concoursed'Elegance of Texas, with impressive pre-show preparation completedby Jeff Snyder and the staff of Jeff's Resurrections, the notedrestorers located in Taylor, Texas. Work included a respray of thelower engine compartment and cleaning, detailing, and repainting ofthe suspension and undercarriage. Later on, “Goldie was featured inDallas at the Texas Museum of Automotive History's Inaugural Art DecoGala. Immortalized in scale-modelfrom and simply captivating today, the offering of “Goldie” forthe first time here on ebay represents a singular opportunity. Donald Healey created many remarkable automobiles, but none as instantly recognizable and capturing as “Goldie.” It is the only non-racing Healey with four-wheel full disc Brakes. It is the only Healey exclusively fitted with such unique interior appointments. It is the only Healey to dominate the Press in its unveiling. It is the only Healey to garner it represents an era of intimate creativity. A stunning show car with fascinating history and a beautifully enduring restoration, “Goldie” remains simply the most desirable Austin-Healey. Please take the time to view all of the stunning pictures and documentation we have posted on this incredibly significant sports car, it will be an incredible asset and show piece for the next collection, it is magnificent. Phillips had nicknamed “Goldie”and fittingly, Donald Healey saw the car following the restoration.Next, the famous 100-Six was displayed at numerous annual Healeygathering in the U.S. and Canada. Eventually. “Goldie” was sold by by Bruce and InanPhillips to the current owner through a mutual friend.
