This car has been kept in a barn in this condition for over 20 years. I believe the bonnet is called a Sebring made by Ashley and it is made of fiberglass. The car has no signs of rusted areas. Underneath the car there is surface rust. Floors are solid however need to be fixed where the previous owner made drive train and seat modifications. There are seats that come with the car but I do not know what they are from (not original). The wheels are Carroll Shelby wheels which I have the complete set as well as a spare. The roll cage is halfway bolted in and can be easily be taken out. There has been some body work done but the body is very straight and virtually rust free. Turn it into a SCCA vintage racer, make it a Sebring replica, or turn it back to a Bugeye. I think I have a SCCA logbook going back to the early 70s.I have a 948 motor and transmission that comes with the car as well as the parts listed below. Engine does turn over. The Austin Healey 100 M "Le Mans" "factory-built" sports cars were produced between September 5, 1955 and July 16, 1956. According to factory records discovered in July of 1985, only 640 of these 100 M cars were made. This figure is based on the factory build cards, which called for a louvered bonnet. This factory produced series was designated the M model by Donald Healey. Throughout its production run in the 1950s, the Austin-Healey was available in a variety of different model specifications. As befitting its competition background, a model was developed for racing: the 100S. This boasted alloy body panels in addition to a modified engine, and the model was entered in many of the classic endurance events such as Sebring, the Mille Miglia and Le Mans.As just 55 examples of the 100S had been built for competition work, Austin-Healey decided to capitalize on its success and offer some of the modifications to the ordinary customer. A Le Mans package was developed, and cars fitted with this were referred to as 100Ms. Modifications included a higher compression ratio, high-lift camshafts and larger SU carburetors. This increased power to 110bhp, compared to 90bhp for the standard car. Other identifying features included hood louvers and a leather hood strap. 1963 Austin Healey Sebring 3000 kit car with factory built hard top and soft top included in auction. Factory built by Classic Roadsters in South Dakota in 1989. Was built and driven at Classic Roadsters as the demo car! Have original factory invoice, building manual and advertisements. Ford 302 motor, a T5 transmission and an 8 inch rear end. Easy to find parts if needed. The car was completely rewired at a certified shop in 2014. It also has a new radiator, alternator, water pump, fuel pump, reworked cooling system and a rebuilt carburetor. All the hard work is done. The Austin drives and runs well. Never driven in the MN winters -- stored in a climate controlled garage. NO ACCIDENTS!!! Auction includes the factory built hard top as well as a soft top (see photos). Gel coated not painted. Hard top was never mounted but used as a sale floor item. Doesn't have mounting brackets but a fabrication shop or welder could build the 2 parts to attach to the wind shield. Soft top has a short tear near seam on driver's side. Condition: minimal wear on interior -- fiberglass in great condition considering age of car. Photo of the outside driver door (close up) shows minimal spider webbing (hair deep or less and just on door) . Stain on passenger side door (could be dyed to match rest of interior). Back bumper has chrome peeling (see photo). Size: I am 6'2" and comfortably fit in car -- taller or larger people my have difficulties. this car is a classic roadsters replica. this is a beautiful car with less then 10 k original miles. it runs, drives and handles very well. gets a lot of attention where ever it goes. i bought some upgrades for the edelbrock engine including msd dist, msd ignition, headers, bullets, a stick of 2.5 inch stainless tubing, and some other parts that are still in the new boxes. just did not take the time to install them. it could use a dusting and some polish but its beautiful and is turn key. the car is sold as is, local pick up only. it is titled as a roadster. i have the cast aluminum grill surround but it is not currently installed. not sure how it is supposed to be attached. the tires are 2 years old. the car was set up for air conditioning but is not installed. the convertible top is in nice condition, the removable hard top i have no idea how it goes on or even if it has ever been installed. the hard top needs work. this car has roll up windows. gm tilt wheel and volkswagen wiper system. it has the same frame as the ac cobra made by the same company. they are built to accept 600 horse power engines. the front suspension is mustang 2. glr in michigan still sells these cars and parts. i bought new rack, new tail lights, and new rear bumper from them. very nice people, but the price of a new one will scare most people away. nothing cheap about these cars, u can drive them every day or add the high performance parts and make a super car. ask any questions. thank you for looking.
