Here we have an early (plastic runner) 1972 BMW 2002 Tii. Original factory color of Silver with dark blue and black interior with factory sunroof. She starts and runs but unfortunately there is rust at the left rear subframe mount causing the subframe to hang down. There is no doubt that this is a project car and will need much work to restore to her former glory. Make no mistake, you will need to address rust at the rear subframe mount, and a few areas on the body. Many other items will need to be addressed as would be typical of any restoration. Of course another option would be to remove the power plant and running gear and drop it in to a rust free chassis but it would be a shame to do that to such a rare car with such a fantastic original color combination. The pictures do not adequately convey the scope of work required on this car. The car would be best described as 'rough'. I STRONGLY suggest you inspect the car personally to ensure it's exactly what you want. In fact, if you want to personally discuss the car with me I welcome your call between the hours of 10 am and 10 pm PACIFIC time at (360) 474-4911. The car is located in Vancouver, BC but I travel to the US frequently and I'm happy to help you import the car to the US as I have done this before. This car can be driven on to a trailer but there is no way it should be driven on a public road. I have had the car parked for a few months now and since then I have noticed some coolant leaking from the radiator and the car is idling higher than it was before I parked it. I am happy to help drive or load the car on to a trailer or car transporter of your choice and ship anywhere in Canada or the US at your expense.

This is a rare find, a jewel, maybe the nicest Agave on black 1972 BMW, sunroof 2002tii available anywhere. When it was restored it received all new trim, new chrome, a $1200.00 dash remanufactured by Just Dashes, all new upholstery, carpets, clock rebuild, headliner, the works. When we were done it was like a new car. And with the owner driving it only 3300 miles since restoration, it is still like a new car. It literally has never been driven in the rain. The owner liked it so much he sent us a testimonial. Here's part of it: I purchased my restored 1972 BMW tii from Chris about six years ago. The car has been awesome. It drives like a new car. The detail work was extraordinary and still looks brand new. Of course I only drive it on sunny days. When going down the freeway at a comfortable 70 mph it turns lots of heads and gets thumbs up from people I pass. Chris and his team exceeded my expectations. It has been fun to go back in time each day I take my BMW out for a spin. The photos here include both from when the car was completed and how it looks today. As you will see, there is hardly a difference. The owner asked us to sell the car for him so it is now back at our shop and from here will go to its new owner. If you are looking for a well loved, beautiful tii, don't let this one get away. And btw, if you want to see some other restored BMWs delivered over the years, check out classicridesfactory dot com. On Apr-28-15 at 12:42:32 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE ON 4/28 - Sorry, my mistake - this tii is a 4 speed, not a 5 speed. Not knowing this, present bidders will consequently not be held to their bids unless they want to be. But 4 or 5 speed, this is a great little Beemer and while I will negotiate, the price remains in the same ballpark. Thank you. .

White with dark blue interior. Matching numbers car. Faster and more agile than a regular 2002. This car has been stored for many years and has just recently been taken out of storage and given a slight tune up. The Kugelfischer fuel injection pump has been rebuilt, the fuel injectors cleaned and re-flowed, gas tank removed and cleaned, new fuel filter, and new tires installed. No cracks in the dashboard. Original leather seats have small tears. Original 4-speed stick makes this car fun and toss able. Sport leather steering wheel. Car has the original AC equipment and is ready to be recharged. Sunroof lets the sunshine in and the rear windows can be opened for fresh air. Well kept original. Car has very minor rust; the shock towers, trunk and floor pan are solid. Car has been in GA. Car needs a new paint job to truly stand out on the concours circuit. [email protected] or 770-355-1020.

For more photos visit http://s102.photobucket.com/user/keveshoe/library/1974%20BMW%202002%20tii This Auction is for a 1974 BMW 2002 Tii THERE ARE NO Tii PARTS ANYWHERE ON THE CAR, (standard 2002 parts only) This car is in awesome condition and has nothing to hide as you will see in the photos. It is a California car that has not been on the road since 1994. I have since been to the DMV and have paid all the back fees and penalties, giving this car a CLEAN TITLE AND CURRENT REGISTRATION. The goal of this build was to make the "Modern man's Tii". To fulfill this goal the M42 engine was purchased. The car started out as a almost complete car minus some interior parts. Every part of the car was strip off and boxed away leaving only a rolling shell. From here the car was examined for rust which it had very little of and was all patched using BMW patch pieces for the parts that needed help. Additionally all the belt trip holes, molding holes, reflector holes and bumper holes were welded shut. Finally a custom TIG welded roll bar was installed in the car for increased body stiffness and safety for that possible track day. Before being sent to the paint shop all body panels were removed from the car ( doors, hood, trunk lid, and sunroof). Also the engine bay and trunk were both sandblasted to ensure a quality job would be performed in the difficult areas. While the car was at the paint shop the Suspension was being modified to match the spirit of the car. The front suspension was completely disassembled. The sub frame was reinforced at the common cracking spot located at the engine mount. All suspension pieces were then hand painted with POR 15 to ensure ultimate durability and a nice clean finish ( a hammer has no chance of removing this paint). The sub-frame was re installed with factory rubber bushings, none of that polyurethane crap that's too stiff and squeaky. Also during the removal process all bolts from the entire car were sent to the platers to be cleaned and zinc plated for corrosion resistance and sex appeal. The sub frame was re-assembled using these bolts. The Front struts on the car were removed and front coilovers were installed in their place. The coilovers feature a adjustable collar for ride height adjustment, Eibach 300lb springs, Bilstien heavy duty shocks and an extra degree of camber built into them. The strut bearings are also attached to a fixed camber plate adding an additional half degree of camber. The stock hubs were removed and factory E21 Hubs were installed in their place. This installation allowed for the front big brake conversion. This allows for 10 in vented rotor to be installed with four piston brakes. Everything was assembled on shop floor and awaited its fresh new body. The rear suspension has a similar story to the front in that all the components were removed, sandblasted and painted with POR 15. Once removed the rear subframe was modified to allow for the adjustable camber and toe package to be installed. This will allow the owner to take out some of the excess camber that results from lowering the rear of the car. The rear of the car still lacks decent shocks and springs. Also the rear differential is a stock 2002 open. The brakes in the rear were also upgrade using the E21 backing plates and drums. Finally everything was re-installed using the newly cleaned and plated bolts. The Tii engine from this car was removed and was replaced by a 1993 M42 motor out of a 318i. This motor produces more HP than the tii ( about 140 total) with the addition of electronic fuel injection instead of mechanical. The Motor, transmission, radiator, header pipe, computer and harness have all been acquired and are included with the car. The motor showed good leak down numbers, all under 5%,(very tight), although it has not been started yet. All Tii brackets from the engine bay have been removed to allow for this engine. Other painted parts Gas tank (sandblasted, painted with POR 15) Pedal Box (sandblasted, rebuilt, painted) Steering Box ( cleaned, painted) White Cad plated Parts Headlight buckets , hood latch, wiper motor, hood hardware , door grease latch, door catch, trunk hinges, trunk latch additional parts Painted front plastic air dam Painted rear fiberglass bummber Many stock parts found in the photos Shipping I am willing to ship the car anywhere a buyer might like, although I would require that the buyer make all the arrangements. I also recommend that the buyer if interested stop by and look at the car before purchasing if all possible.

You are looking at my 1972 BMW 2002Tii, with factory sunroof. First year of the TII and the desirable sunroof option (working perfectly). Purchased in 2002, and worked on for the next 13 years. Car came from South Carolina to Philadelphia PA in 2001 or 2002. I bought off someone who decided they didn't want to work on car. Car was very solid but did need some welding, driver's rocker, around headlights, spare tire well, driver's rear shock tower, and a little work around pedal box. Overall car was very solid and still is but those are pretty common areas for these cars. All welding was done by Bill Humphries from Upper Black Eddy in PA who specializes in Welding on BMW's. Top end of Engine was rebuilt in 2005 by Jess Miller Machine Shop in West Chester PA. Car drives very well, and has been maintained over the years with all kinds of improvements....to list a few! Painted Silver in 2005, original color ceylon, inside trunk, inside doors etc. were painted silver......you only see a little of the color inside engine compartment and underside of sunroof panel! new rubber seals on front and rear windows new sound deadening material front hood new rubber mats NOS blower fan installed new cables sunroof all new bushings in shifter all new front end, shocks etc. new front turn signals ansa exhaust installed around 2007 new brakes larger radiator Since rebuild I don't think i have driven more than 5,000 miles, odometer does not work, which is partly why I am selling car! Could benefit from a tune-up and new tires.....tires are about 10 years old and front tires showed wear front front end needing work.....alignment and tie rods etc. replaced 3 years ago. Front tires were put on rear. Cracks on front dash, clock does not work. Everthing else electric works fine! Never had a radio installed! Headliner shows some dirt and one small tear, seats are original upholstery and I have had driver's seat re-stuffed one time during ownership. Very fun car, that is ready to drive! Please ask questions before bidding! Mike 215-681-9990 Car is currently in Philadelphia PA but I have a house in Frenchtown NJ so arrangements could be made to view car there as well.

PRICE LOWERED FROM $3395 to $2995 to sell I have been struggling and struggling with this decision but I final have made up my mind. I was in the process of a restoration of my 1974TII and have now decided I purchased a 1973TII that I could use as a driver. I just don't have it in me nor the time to go through another vehicle restoration. Here is some info about the car; Original color is Siennabraun metallicThe car spent most of its life in Hermosa Beach, and has rust on front windshield and rear window frames all the way through.Passenger side floorpan has been replaced and the rear floor pans will need to be replacedRear shock towers look good, in fact, the trunk and rear were about the best panels in the car.The rear speaker parcel and been completely cut out and a piece of sheetmetal riveted in.Rear quarter panels, hood, roof, and rockers all have significant rust and will need to be replaced. All that said, there are some nice surprises; like it has a 5-speed conversion, a sunroof that opens and closes and while the odometer states it has 56,000 miles according to the past owner it does have around 112k. I was able to track down the previous owner in Hermosa Beach, he purchased the car from the Original Owner in 1975 with 7,000 miles on it and has had it ever since. He has all the records and the original title (I was handed a duplicate.) super nice guy. He has not found everything yet but keeps in contact and keeps saying he promises he will find. Car had been sitting for 5 years, so the front brakes were a little tight and the gas tank was horrid. I yanked it out and threw it away; you will need to find another tank. The engine does turn over but honestly with all the rust that was in the tank, my plan was to replace the fuel pump, filter and clean injectors before starting. Car is located in Spring Valley CA at my body shop which is very reasonable and he is an excellent "metal sculptor" as I call him. If you wanted to have him do the metal repairs and paint I would recommend him. The interior and exterior parts including glass are all out of the car; door panels and rear bench seats were junk and trashed. I just traded the recaro seats (badly needed upholstery for original front seats that would come with the car. I am not looking to make any money, just want to see it get restored not junked. I could part it out and sell the suspension, engine, 5-speed conversion and make my money back but that would be horrible. Car will come with all original parts removed except for anything that disintegrated upon removal. Most items are labeled and boxed and were disassembled with care. OPTION - The available donor car (additional $750) is very clean and comes with a clean CA title on Non-op. The Alpina looking wheels were removed but the rest of the car has all of the necessary panels to repair the TII. Basically once you are done taking the parts for the TII you can sell the trunk lid, left fender, steering gears, e-brake assembly and front shock spindles and make you money back.
