He had even contacted the previous owner to obtain the radio security code (for some reason, the original Volvo code was no longer valid). Given that the car is 10 years old and due for scheduled maintenance, there were some substantial repair bills in the immediate future for the next owner. I brought this up with Val and he was very professional in his response. We were able to negotiate a price based on this. Overall, this was a good car buying experience. If Val is still doing this in 10 years when my Volvo dies, I'll check out his inventory again.
