For sale is my wife's 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Limited 4x4 with V6 engine and auto transmission. It is in good condition and runs great and drives smooth with mostly easy highway miles. This is a clean and easy private party sale and we are located in Beaverton near the Garden Home area off Oleson Road. This vehicle has a clean and clear Oregon title in our name and at our current address with new license plates and the tabs are valid until 6/2016. The truck just got completely new front and rear brakes in July 2014 including new pads and new rotors all the way around, new serpentine belt, oil change, all new wiper blades front and rear, new floor mats, and new license tabs. We just spent about $800 on these items alone so it is ready to go for the new owner. The Michelin tires are still about 75% new and in great condition and cost over $750 when new plus installation and balancing so you do not have to worry about spending a small fortune on new tires. Every single light, function and feature works on this truck. Nothing is inoperative. Now you Montero fans already know exactly what this 2003 truck is and how awesome they are but for new Montero fans please keep reading. In 2003, the Montero received some major factory updates over 2002 and previous models including the drive train was updated to a new 3.8 V6 engine vs the older outdated 3.5 V6 and also the 2003 update included the new 5 speed steptronic transmission along with some styling updates. I recommend doing some research on this highly sought after model on google, search for 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Limited reviews and check wikipedia to learn more about the history of the Montero including the updates in 2003 vs previous models. You will see the 2003 model year is much different when compared to 2002 and older models even though 2002 look similar but they are actually very different. This is the year everyone seeks and these are very hard to find! This truck is fully loaded with a 3.8 215 HP V6 engine, 5 speed steptronic automatic transmission, shift on the fly 4x4, AC, expensive Alpine CD stereo with IPOD INPUT cord, dual power and heated leather seats, luxury wood grain dash trim package, huge safari style power moonroof with shade, power windows, power locks, keyless entry system, factory alarm system, cruise control, tilt wheel, leather-wrapped steering wheel with wood grain accents, running boards, dual front glove box, luggage rack, privacy glass, towing package, dual air bags, side inpact air bags, front and rear air conditioning, much more, it runs and drives great and is very reliable. The mileage is 213,988 as of today and most of the miles are easy highway miles. The previous owner lived in Washington and communted to Portland daily so it has mainly been driven on the highway. These trucks can run 300k or more when maintained so it has plenty of life left and still runs great. We have it priced accordingly because if it had the typical 150k, we would be asking about $1500 more than we are so it is priced correctly with the current mileage. This family SUV seats 7 passengers with the easy stow away third row seat that flips up or hides away when you fold it down which is a fabulous feature. We have driven this truck camping several near Mount Rainier which is a 10 hour round trip drive and it always runs perfectly so it is safe and sound for long road trips. If you are looking for a great truck that is reliable and ready to go today, look no further. The book value retail with the current mileage and options input on the kbb app is $7,714 and it says fair market price $6,664 but we have a $300 towing package already installed, a $300 stereo already installed, newer tires and we just put $800 into the truck so our asking price is very reasonable when all is considered. The reason we are selling the truck is because we are going to lease a 2015 car. I already sold my vehicle recently and once this SUV sells we are going to have only one brand new car because that is all we need and then we will only have to insure one vehicle. First come first serve, $6800 will buy this truck. Buyers are welcome to have the vehicle professionally inspected by the shop and mechanic of your choice at your expense if so desired. There are typical light scratches found on any 11 year old vehicle and there is a dent in the passenger door shown in the photo with the arrow pointing to the dent. Otherwise it is in good used condition and has been well maintained. It is not brand new so it is not in brand new condition but it is good for a 2003 SUV and it has not been used off road, mostly highway driving.
