Up for auction is a 1974 Buick Electra 4 door hardtop. Car is all original and has only 53,000 miles on it. Exterior of car is in great condition for its age. Paint is in great shape, but has a few nicks and scratches here and there from normal wear and tear. No rust at all anywhere. Vinyl top is perfect with no discoloration or rips or tears. Car runs and drives like new. Only thing mechanically that needs attention is the muffler has a small hole in it. Has the 455 engine in it. The interior of the car is in excellent shape. No rips or tears in the seats, dash, headliner, or carpet. The only spot i can see that showw wear is the drivers door armrest has a small crack. Everthing works as it should. 1959 Buick Electra 225 4 Door Hardtop, 74,500 miles. This is a nice project and solid Classic Car. I've owned this for over three years and I just don't have the time to make it nice again. It ran when purchased it in the fall of 2013, but I have not started it since. It has factory power seats, wonderbar radio, air conditioning and power steering. The dash instrument cluster and pad are in great shape. This car has very little rust through, but does have surface rust. The floors are all solid and all glass is good. This is a beautiful 1969 Buick Electra 2 door with a new convertible top, it makes heads turn. Besides the engine, this car is all original right down to the AM radio. The engine which is a 455 engine was replaced recently and runs great. I would trust taking this car on the road for a road trip. I am sure the mileage has rolled because of the age of the car. I have all the paper work on all that has been done to car over the years. The car has been well taken care of. The little bit of rust is shown in the photos. Rust on the left rear wheel well and right fender. The front drivers seat is torn. Could use a paint job, we just didn't want to change the originality of the car. There are power windows, door locks and front seat. This is a chick magnet and a wonderful muscle car. If you know cars then you also know... it passes everything but a gas station. This Limited Trim is the rare version and is even the longest car produced at the time, at 233 inches. This car looks to be cared for for over 35 years. It looks as if this car is in great condition externally, aside from a couple cosmetic defects such as some scraped and the rear window trims being loose and peeling. The hardtop is also cracked from the sun. The paint shines incredibly well. The interior has a couple defects such as the driver's and passenger's arm rests are cracked and are coming apart. The front seat belt plastic holders below the clasp are cracked as well. The radio deck has been removed. The original buick floormats are included however, they are worn out. The car came from a smoke free environment. It runs and drives extremely well. Part around gas tank cap is cracked. The engine and transmission run and shift very well. Speedometer is on par and the tires are not bald. I am retyping what I already did, but having ebay issues. The car is in super shape. It is not perfect but as nice of a "limited" as you will find anytime soon. It was owned by a minister from new till about 2012. He cherished the car. Never smoked in, never abused, always garaged and not driven in the winter. The body does not have rust. The trunk is like looking back to 1976. The paint is very nice with the exception of a spot on the hood and left rear door. The chrome is super, the trim and moldings are super. Every single light on the inside and outside work.. I mean every SINGLE light... and there is a lot of courtesy lights. Glove box, trunk, marker lights, tail lights original 1976 headlights, turn lights, corner marker lights when turning (light up side fog lights) door panel lights, dome and map reading lights, clock lights, floor board lights, dash lights.. they all work. The engine starts with the quick touch of the key. The fast idle works as it should (choke) the engine has zero noise and zero smoke.. none. Its quiet smooth and powerful. The exhaust is newer and sounds nice at the tail pipe and quiet and 75. No whistling noise at windows either... The windshield wipers and washer fluid work as they should. It stops smooth with no pulsating or noise...firm and even. It has the original master cylinder with the paper sticker from new on the side. It has a new air cleaner, new copper heater core and blower motor. It was done correctly and is not a cheap fix or patch job.. The radio works, the blinkers work and go off as they should when turning back straight. The speed alert works, the cruise control works. The door locks are quick and snappy and the windows go up and down fast and smooth in their tracks. They are not loose and rattling from people slamming the doors and pushing on the glass vs the door. The door handles are smooth when opening form the inside or out. The doors are solid and not sagging or making dry noise at the hinges. The mirrors are remote... yes, it has the passenger mirror, and these cars look odd without one. The rear defogger works nicely. The tilt is not wore out, firm and solid. The power antenna motor makes a noise, but antenna is not moving. The power seat works in all directions. The trunk release works as it should. THe clock keeps time. The tires are like new, not dry rotted or cracking or wobbly. The Buick Road chrome road wheels and correct electra center caps are nice including the spare, jack etc. The trunk is amazing. The paint is very nice, I have not waxed the car at all, only washed it. There are a couple noticeable paint flaws, one on the hood and one on the drivers rear door on the upper part. I just drove it 400 miles and it get the thumbs up and comments all the time. The chrome bumpers are super, the grill and tail panel are nice and clean. No rust anywhere on the car. The underside is dry and super nice, not crusty rusty or nasty at all. The engine compartment is untouched and decent. No grease or nasty scaly rust issues. Has had the 4 core radiator replaced at some time with proper 4 core radiator. Battery is newer. Exhaust is newer. Vinyl top is super, one small old man patch on pass side at body trim, used clear silicone at crack, not sure why.... Seats are very comfy, headliner is perfect, carpet and interior are very nice, never trashed or abused... no smells, no pet stains or hair etc. Original books dealer related pamphlets etc in glove box, with org purchaser info. Jack is complete, floor mats (set is buick org and decent) I would rate this car a 8.5 on a 10 because of two paint issues and engine not being detailed up with armoral etc. I would take off on a trip around the world in it without lifting the hood right now.
