Selling my 1987 Buick Grand National NO RESERVE VERY,VERY NICE CONDITION Only 14,275 miles... Has never seen snow or rain and always kept in a garage since I have owned it.(12 years.. 5,200 K in 2003).... It's time to part with some of my favorite stuff! This car is immaculate inside and out. It is fast and fun to drive. Tuned and well maintained by Brian at Cotton's Performance (2 mi. from my house) Modest upgrades include T-49 Turbo, and latest MAF sensor and translator. The car has not been in any accidents.. In 2010 a repaint (with stone guard and body side-molding) applied. It really looks sharp. There is no rust and the under carriage is clean. The interior is in superb truly excellent condition and its a non smoker. Car has the following gauges : Temp, Oil, Knock , Boost and a "real" Tach!... Also Kirban's console arm rest. Power steering, power locks, power windows, power brakes (all in working order) Air Conditioning works but needs to be recharged yearly. The tires(Firestone) and wheels(original re-man.) were replaced last year. The radio is not original. It is a late model GM Delco single disc player that looks factory . The radio antenna needs to be manually raised and lowered and the rear speakers work now and then? I will include a car cover and a few small extra parts (hoses, bulbs, etc.) I have clear title. I am the FIRST REGISTERED owner.(According to Car-Fax) I have tons of original car history and sales information relating to this car such as: Dealer sales and loan agreement.. I have done almost all the maintenance work on this car myself. I drive this car to work once a week, 90 miles round-trip. This is a perfect car for classic car collectors. Located in Northern Virginia!Starts, runs, sounds awesome, lots of fun! 1984 Buick Regal Limited (Grand National or GN body) with 170xxx miles on body. 305 5L V8. Original Landau roof with a sky blue exterior on blue velour interior. The engine is out of a 1977 Camaro. It has dual Magna Flow cat back exhausts. Sounds lovely! I drive it occasionally (antique plates). This would be an excellent project car for anyone interested in turning it into a Grand National clone. This does not mean that the car has been sitting for years with a start every now and then. I drive it, on the road, from point A to B and back. It's never left me stranded. I have been paying insurance on it for over two years, so yes of course I drive it. Very hard to find one with the front and rear bumpers intact! The windshield has a crack, but it's not serious. There is no AC. The heat works great. Power locks and windows. New brakes, tires, belts, battery, light bulbs, carburetor, rotors, wheel bearings, exhausts, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, etc. Clean title IN MY NAME with 4 keys (2 ignition and 2 trunk) are included. A full size spare is in the trunk. This car is beautiful, one owner, very well maintained, all service/maintenance preformed by a certified dealership, it has never been exposed to the elements. Bought new February 1978, at Robinson- Lesline Buick in Wichita, Ks. The Turbo 3.8 was offered in two and four barrel versions. Sales-wise, 1978 was the most successful year for the Turbo Regal. Of the 236,652 Regals produced, 30,508 were turbocharged. Horsepower ratings were 150 and 165 (for the 2 and 4 barrel versions respectively), compared to 105 for the normally aspirated 3.8 V6. What made the Turbo V6 work without the water injection units that many Turbo engines used (Oldsmobile F-85, Corvair Spyder, and most aftermarket systems), was the Electronic Spark Control (ESC). Buick's ESC was a first in the automotive industry. It used a "knock" sensor to detect detonation and then retarded the timing. This protected the engine from destroying itself under boost. The newly redesigned Regal, was not only downsized, but was now it's own model. It was no longer a variation of the Century. But the biggest news came from under the hood. It didn't take long for the Turbocharged V6 to make it from the '76 Pace Car to the production cars. During a time of soaring gas prices, the little engine promised the economy of a V6 and the performance of a V8. The Regal Sport Coupe, along with the LeSabre Sport Coupe, were the only two turbocharged standard production cars built in America.
