I have a very nice 1955 Buick Special 46R Riviera that I've decided to sell. I am believed to be the 2nd owner. I have the original paperwork and the original receipt from when it was bought new. It is all original, except for the modern headlight upgrades and an electric fuel pump(the electric pump is only used to prime the fuel system after the car has been in storage-saves cranking time). This car runs and drives very nice. The 322 Nailhead V8 doesn't smoke or knock and the dynaflow transmission moves this big car down the highway easily(the dynaflow doesn't shift). There are NO issues with the reverse gear(a weak link of a dynaflow). I have taken this car on many long roadtrips and it has never let me down. The Coker radial tires are like new with no uneven wear and lots of tread. This is a base car so no power windows, A/C, brakes, or steering. Although all of those could be added without problem. The speedometer went haywire in the middle of a long trip and quite working so the actual miles are unknown. The gas gauge goes straight to full so I'm guessing that it's there's a grounded wire somewhere. The gas tank is new. All other gauges work as they should. Floor heater under the front seat works good but the dash blower doesn't come on(it has 2 heaters). Paint and a poor body repair was done over 25 years ago and needs to be redone. The paint looks good in the pics but is cracked, faded, and stained. I have purchased NEW patch panels to repair the rusted areas(cost $500!). There is NO rust anywhere else in the car that isn't pictured. The floors, trunk, rockers, headlight buckets, and frame are all rust free. The chrome has normal slight pitting and the front bumper has peeling in a couple spots(see pics). I would consider this to be a very nice 'driver quality' car that is fun to take to car shows and drive on weekends. With the new panels installed and new paint, this would be a show car. I do not have the car listed locally for sale and will entertain trade offers for running/driving vehicles. Call or text if you have any questions. 816-986-9078

For Sale: 1956 Buick Special Riviera. I planned on working on it but am too busy with my 1935 Ford. This is a one-owner car and it's been sitting in the lady's garage for 25 years. -Car is pretty clean and interior is decent (just a few little stains on headliners, front carpet is dirty and rubber cover is bad as well, needs new cardboard sides where your feets are on both sides) but the seats are in real good condition and will need some elbow grease to make them shine again, the door panels are in good condition as well and need some cleaning. Front floors are rusty and will need to be changed ($65 for each floor pan), rest of the car is rust free, rockers are great, trunk is good, rear floor looks good. -Comes with uninstalled sun visor and spare tire (both in trunk). -All the windows rolls up and down and the car has all it's chrome. It is missing front driver side turn signal glass, the driver side window has a crack and the windshield has 2 small rock chips. The blinkers work as well as the lights, horn and wipers. It looks like even all the gauges are working but not 100% sure. -Needs new brakes all around (emergency brakes works) -Needs new exhaust as well as manifold gasket. -Engine sounds good, will needs a tune-up for sure but starts and drives. -Transmission is real sticky, R works just fine, L as well but D for some reason is not engaging (haven't got time to look at it yet, might just need some fresh fluid). -Tires are old but holding air. -The odometer is showing ~15k miles but pretty sure it rolled over. -Paint is old, has a few scratches but body is really straight, no dents. Not 100% sure if car was repainted sometimes in it's life. -Bumpers are dent free but will need to be rechromed to be perfect as it shows some age. -I believe it's a great car with lots a potential, if i don't sell it this winter I will start working on it this summer. -Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

LOW RESERVE!!!!! ALL PICS TAKEN THIS SPRING. Your are looking at a very clean and original 1967 Buick Riviera. I was told that it was a 2 owner car before I purchased the vehicle from an estate sale. I was told that the car was repainted approx. 10-12 years ago and kept in a garage. The paint does have some very small imperfections, however the luster is still very good as you can see in the photos. NO RUST!!!!!There is a couple of small dings on the back bumper as shown in the pics. The interior is in great shape and original to the car. The previous owner did add a casset player under the dash, but the car retains its original radio. There are no cracks in the dash pad and the seats are in excellent condition and original. The carpet is in good condition. I replaced the carpeting on the doors recently because of fading. I was told when the car was repainted the owner added the chrome valve covers and the alarm system to the car. Otherwise the engine compartment is very original and clean for this age of car. From my understanding the previous owner became ill and car was not driven much in the last 6-7 years. When I purchased the car I had these items taken care of: 1. Rebuilt Timing cover set and gears 2. water pump 3. New valve cover gaskets 4. New timing cover 5. New spark plugs and wires 6. Rebuilt carb 7. Power windows motors drivers / pass side rebuilt 8. Headlight motor rebuilt 9. Door carpet driver / pass replaced. 10. Tires rotated and balanced. 11. New front drums installed. This car is in very good original condition. As seen in the pics the gaps of the body panels are very straight and the doors line up perfectly when shut. When the mechanic did the service work he mentioned this car is very straight and rust free underneath. See Pics!!! The 1967 Riviera has a real cool rolling speedo and hideaway head lights. All gauges work except the clock. The trunk compartment has the original felt / jack and spare wheel. The only item I am aware of not working is the power antenna. You can hear the motor run, but the antenna does not go up or down. This car is a great value for late 60's big block( 430 motor 360hp) vehicle. The is a real eye catcher and I get compliments all the time when I'm driving the car and at local car shows. It is not a Camaro, Mustang, or Chevelle, however its nice to know that you have a unique car there and you spent half of what they spent. The buyer is required to make a $500 non refundable deposite 48 hrs from the auction ending. There is no warranty expressed or implied. The vehicle is being sold " AS IS". The buyer is responsible for all shipping cost, tags, and tax. I reserve the right to end auction early or sell the vehicle through other venues. The balance of the purchase price is due 5 days from the end of auction. If the purchase transaction is not completed I reserve the right to keep the deposit and either re-list the vehicle or sale to the 2nd highest bidder. O On Jun-15-15 at 11:40:24 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been a member of eBay since 2004. I am not a dealer nor do this part time. I do buy or sell classic cars on occasion for my own private use. All cars are titled in my name with current registration. I have not purchased or sold anything in the last year. Therefore I do not have any feedback. I do try to describe the condition of the vehicle in a conservative manner and try to put a fair price on them. If you have any concerns on the cars please fill free to call me on my cell at 239 887 0768. I do travel and I am not always available to show the vehicles. Thanks On Jun-15-15 at 11:51:03 PDT, seller added the following information:

It is hard to do , but I am selling my 1953 Buick Super. This car runs and drives great, nothing says Buick like the smooth ride and awesome power of the first year Nailhead 322 v-8. This car says class when you see it with the beautiful waterfall grill, large headlight doors and the wonderful sweeping fender lines. This car was owned by two family members from new when I purchased it from the second owner (the niece of the first owner), the car even has the new car dealer delivery instrument tags and the booklets that I have received from the second owner. All of the gauges and radio work. All of the window glass is in good condition and the windows operate smoothly as they should. The rubber seals are original and are serviceable, as can be seen in the photographs. Since I have owned the car, the following work has been completed to keep this classic on the road running safe and sound; - New wheel cylinders, master cylinder, brake shoes and hoses., as well as the front drums turned- New wheel grease / oil seals, front and rear.- The fuel pump has been rebuilt- Carburetor has been rebuilt- New fuel sender installed- Plugs, wires, points, condenser, distributor cap all new- All of the rubber heater and rubber transmission cooler lines were also changed.- New Battery- New Thermostat The vacuum wipers do not function at this time. I have posted some videos on youtube and you will see that the transmission is smooth and the car cruises nicely at 55 - 60 mph. The steering is solid and tight as well as the ride is very smooth. I have run out of room and I have promised to sell some of my cars since I can either add more space or give up some of my toys. While I like the car a lot and I think that it is a wonderful car, any prospective buyer may not feel the same. I encourage any bidders to schedule an inspection prior to bidding. THE CAR IS BEING SOLD AS-IS, WHERE IS. I have tried to describe the car as best as I can, and I have tried to take good pictures and have even supplied videos' s (see links). If you need more pictures or to speak with me live, please contact me at 267-374-1001. It is up to you to determine the condition of the car and you must rely on your own assessment of the vehicle before you choose to bid. If you have a feedback score of 5 or less, please contact me before bidding or I will be forced to cancel your bid. The winning bidder has up to three weeks to remove the car from the premises from the date that the title is transferred (upon clearance of funds at my bank). The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the listing at any time. Be sure to check out my youtube videos below to make sure you see that this is one great car. Please copy the links and add the www. before the youtube portion and paste it into your browser. View our eBay StoreSign up for our Email Newsletter 1963 Buick Riviera offered with a reserve This lovingly preserved Riviera was bought new by Ms. Alice Walker on December 22nd, 1962, and still sports the personalized delivery tag on the console. Kept in top shape and driven fewer than 2,000 miles a year, it wasn't until 2000 that the car went to its next owner, a collector in Warsaw, Kentucky, with 70,024 miles on the odometer. Another careful keeper, the car accumulated fewer than 3,500 miles over the next 7 years. Passing through the hands of 2 more collectors who have used it sparingly, the car still shows well today and is an amazing original timepiece having only been driven 74,917 miles in the last half a century. The factory Arctic White finish, which was repainted some time ago, is complimented by an uplevel "Custom" Saddle interior with leather seat trim and genuine wood accents. The Riviera is equipped with factory air conditioning, power steering, windows, seats, and truck release, and an AM/FM radio—a new option in 1963. Underhood, the engine compartment showcases the powerful Buick Wildcat V8 which is mated to an optional automatic transmission. The car's factory owner's manual and all tools delivered new with the car —are included. This is a spectacular fully equipped first-year Riviera, a nice survivor that may be enjoyed as is. Combining a rare and attractive color combination with originality that is unlikely to be surpassed, here is a Riviera that will always stand out. We have many more photographs of this car, please click on any image to be taken to our full-size image list! In the late 1950s, GM lacked a personal luxury car to compete with the highly successful Ford Thunderbird—a uniquely styled, two-door, four-passenger car. To fill this gap, an experimental Cadillac design (the XP-715) was created. Its angular styling was reportedly inspired by GM styling chief Bill Mitchell's visit to London during the period, when he was struck by the sight of an elegant, custom-bodied Rolls Royce. He later said that "knife-edged" styling was what he wanted for the new model, but with a lower profile. The design itself was penned by stylist Ned Nickles. However, Cadillac management was not particularly interested in such a vehicle and in 1960 the project was thrown open for competition by the other divisions. Buick, desperate to revive its flagging sales, enlisted the aid of the McCann-Erickson advertising agency to create its presentation. Buick won, and the finished design was adapted to a shortened version of Buick's cruciform frame. The design was substantially the same as the original, although the hidden headlights—originally concealed in the fender grilles—were initially omitted for cost reasons. The Riviera was introduced on October 4, 1962, as a 1963 model, with the 325 hp 401 cu in "Nailhead" V-8 as the only available engine, fitted with dual exhaust as standard equipment, and the turbine drive the only transmission, at a base price of $4,333; typical delivered prices with options ran upwards of $5,000. With the same power as the larger Buicks and less weight, the Riviera had sparkling all-around performance: Motor Trend found it capable of running 0–60 mph in 8 seconds or less, the standing quarter mile in about 16 seconds, and an observed top speed of 115 miles per hour. Inside, the Riviera featured a four-place cabin with front bucket seats separated by a center console with floor shifter and storage compartment that was built into the instrument panel, and bucket-style seats in the rear. Upholstery choices included all-vinyl, cloth and vinyl, or optional leather. A deluxe interior option included real walnut inserts on the doors and below the rear side windows. Popular extra-cost options included a tilt steering wheel, power windows, power driver's seat, air conditioning, a remote-controlled side view mirror, and white sidewall tires. Our Ebay Policies: Significant Cars is one of the largest Collector Car Brokers and Dealers in the Country.  Since 2003 we have worked hard to "change the way collector cars find new homes" by providing unparralleled web presentation of the cars we are representing.  Most of our cars have over 30 photographs, and these can be viewed by visiting our website (our eBay handle dot com), or by clicking on any of the photographs in the black background area of our EBay listings.  We welcome your call with any questions about any of our listings at anytime at 800-837-9902 and certainly encourage your personal inspection of any of the cars we are selling-just call us and we will be happy to set up an appointment for your to see and test drive the car.
