He was very accomodating with respect to meeting to test the car and also allowed me to drive the car to my mechanic for a more thorough inspection. Val was very forthcoming about this cars problems and defects that he was aware of. He had even contacted the previous owner to obtain the radio security code (for some reason, the original Volvo code was no longer valid). Given that the car is 10 years old and due for scheduled maintenance, there were some substantial repair bills in the immediate future for the next owner. I brought this up with Val and he was very professional in his response. We were able to negotiate a price based on this. Overall, this was a good car buying experience
