The 1939 Cadillac Sixty Special with Fleetwood body was introduced in October 1938. This car qualifies as a true classic by the CCCA (Classic Car Club of America). A designation reserved for select motor cars built before 1948 that have great impact or significance on the heritage of the automobile. This is an outstanding example of the GM design studio of Bill Mitchell and Harvey Earl. This particular car was shipped from Detroit to Boston on February 28, 1939 with a Trinidad Gray exterior (photos of original car and documentation included with car) and a Special Order red leather (Trim Code SO6108) interior instead of Gray cloth. Only 5,513 Sixty Specials were built in 1939 in only one model, a four door sedan. In 1996 it was repainted a butternut cream. The car was fully restored at least once in its life and is currently a nicely maintained driver. It is a matching numbers car. It is reliable and runs great, is fully capable and dependable for touring, club outings and general fun. It is as comfortable at the country club as it is in a parade or old car show. With a smooth as silk 346 CI engine it cruises the interstates or local streets with equal ease. I have full mechanical records prior to approximately 2006. Based on the mileage noted on receipts I believe the odometer to be 137,000, but there is no proof or assurance of that. It was owned and garaged by one owner since 1995 (20 Years) and passed New York State Motor Vehicle Inspection in July, 2015. This car is a movie star! Some points on the car’s condition, in no particular order are as follows: Mechanical - Motor was completely rebuilt in 2002 and runs great. An alternator has replaced the generator but remains a 6 volt system. Heater/Defroster work well, Ignition switch has been hidden under the dash for security. Dash gauges all work except speedometer (odometer is fine). Hood springs are weak. OEM operating fog lights with Cadillac logo embossed. Transmission was just rebuilt. Ignition key fits both front doors. Has spare tire, but no jack. Trim and Bright Work – Stainless steel window frame is flawless. Glass retaining molding shows some pitting. A little rust on vent window frames. Hood Godess is flawless. Wood grain appears to be original and is excellent with a couple of chips near instruments. Bumpers and taillights are recently re-chromed. Grills and other cast parts show some pitting. Floor pans and frame are solid and show nothing more than a patina oxidation, with no perforation anywhere. Glass is all clear and appears to be original–a little discoloration on edge of right rear window. Paint has some chipping, scratches and a few spider webs. Interior Headliner is like new. Carpet is new and trunk is relined with rubber mat and carpet. Door panel fabric, left driver door has a 4- 6 inch tear (see photos). and right visor sags. Leather has a couple of quarter-size tears. This is a reliable and fun car to drive. It is suitable for daily use and special events. It will draw praise and WOW's at the local supermarket, country club or church. Wonderful ORIGINAL survivor with ZERO rust -- a Texas car. Just a great car that drives very well. Extremely solid body. Beautiful Azure Blue original color with much original paint. Original V-cloth interior is in fantastic original condition -- very usable and elegant. Good looking chrome and stainless. Engine starts right up with no smoke, runs smoothly with no overheating (runs about 1/4 to 1/3 on the temp gauge). No oil leaks or transmission leaks! Transmission shifts well. Mechanically, it has been gone through a good bit -- new battery, cables, exhaust, brakes (more about that later), plugs, wires and wire organizers, valve cover gaskets, dual point distributor plate, coil, fuel pump, fuel hose, fuel line, carb rebuilt, rebuilt starter, rebuilt generator, new shocks, sway bar links, properly adjusted and serviced transmission (by the best HydraMatic guy in the state), etc., etc. On the brakes, a fantastic job has been done there, yielding much confidence in stopping power: rebuilt/restored power booster (and sleeved to boot!), NEW master cylinder, rebuilt wheel cylinders sleeved with stainless steel, leading shoes grooved as per factory specs, major adjustment done (often left undone by many mechanics/restorers). The brakes are great. New radial tires. Engine compartment detailed and looks great. Very nice car. Like all 55 Fleetwoods, it includes power windows (working), power seat (working), power steering (working), power brakes (working - see above), etc. It also has the optional Wonderbar radio with optional foot-control remote, Autronic Eye, and the all-important AIR CONDITIONING (100% intact, but not presently working). Okay, now the not so great: paint could stand to be redone and to straighten out a number of minor dents and creases. Right rear bumper end is rusted through due to exhaust condensation (typical for 54/55 Cadillacs). A replacement bumper end (imperfect) comes with the car to facilitate repair and replating. Radio doesn't play, clock doesn't run, power antenna doesn't go up and down (but is not stuck). Air conditioning could use some attention. There is a lot of interest in this car, so if you want it, don't hesitate. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.

1956 Cadillac Fleetwood. I am only the second owner. The car was bought here in Seattle in 1956. The original owner parked it in the late eighties when he was unable to drive it anymore. Garage find? When I bought the car I had Preston Automotive pull the motor and replace the seals. They went through the breaks as well. She runs and stops. Things I know; the drivers window is cracked(I have a replacement). 3 out of 4 electric windows work. The electric seat isn't working. I believe the heater core took a dump this spring-I disconnected it. The original owner did an amateur cosmetic restoration. The front passenger door won't lock-I think it's a spring inside the door. She is straight and 98% complete (95 in case I missed something). The body is straight and the interior is in great condition considering her age. This is a great project for someone wanting an original car. I'm selling the car as is.

Greetings to All!! imotors is quite pleased to offer this rare opportunity to own a totally original, AND Driveable/Dependable 1964 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special Sedan!! If you can get past the paint, which isn't so awful< you will just LOVE this car!!! The 64's are quite significant being the last Cadillac to have fins!!!! Also, first year for 429 engine, and the TH400 Transmission!!! This particular example has spent most of it's life in Minnesota. It was purchased at an estate/Liquidation sale, and ended up in my backyard. I purchased it from a fellow who just did not have the means to care for it properly, or bring it to the level that you see here. It is mechanically fantastic with me doing a full brake service(Hoses, cylinders etc.),and an oil and filter change. I also had the four "L78x15" bias plies removed, and had 4 new Radials fitted. Someone else recently did the exhaust. There is a copy of a service bill below, from 2001, with 24,997 miles. It now has 25,211...and I put 57 of those on myself! So....It hasn't been on the road in almost 15 Years! This Fleetwood now runs and drives like a dream!!!! It has been ultra dependable, and has not even had as much as the slightest hiccup!!!! What is totally amazing to me is HOW NICE this Cadillac really is, being as it came from Minnesota. I cannot find any hint of rust anywhere!!! The chrome is bright and shiny with zero signs of pitting or damage. There is a very small ding down low on the passengers side of the rear bumper....That is It!!!! All stainless is nice and straight with nice shine to it. All gaps and shut lines are nice and straight!! With a nice paint job, this one will be a show stopper!!! This is a totally original, never been apart 1964 Cadillac. The left rear quarter panel has had paint....That is all! I didn't even have it detailed. I washed it and took pictures. The interior is in perfect condition, and should clean up to look like a new 50 year old Cadillac!!! All power equipment works well, EXCEPT.......Passenger front vent window, and left rear door windows are not working. Radio squeals. Clock(of course), A/C blows, but not cold. Vacuum locks lock, but don't unlock(loose hose?). Everything else works fine, and this Cadillac hits the road 100%. As I mentioned above, get past the paint, and you have a REALLY nice original 50 year old Cadillac here! It is the worst part of the car! Note the condition of the chrome.....It it utterly amazingly NICE!! The bumper ends all around have no rot, or pits showing. That is amazing for an original 50 year old car! Notice how nice and straight all of the bumper gaps are! Never any damage! No pits or rust here! In this Photo you can see how nice and straight the rear bumper alignment is. Looks like it did 50 years ago!. As I'm sure you all know, it is very typical to have some rust under the vinyl top. The roof will develop little bumps underneath the material. This one is not near as bad as some I have seen! All emblems are present and accounted for!. There is no mistake!! This is definitely the top of the line Cadillac!!!! Notice how nice and straight the front bumper and grille area are! Extremely hard to duplicate originality!! . No pits or rust on the front bumper!ll! The wood throughout our 60 Special is simply Gorgeous. Again, totally original! No rust in the jambs! None of the typical cracks here!! Our 1964 Fleetwood still proudly wears its factory floor mats!! Front carpet is threadbare in spots, but no holes. The sumptuous interior is in fantastic condition and is certainly commensurate with the low mileage and excellent care our Gorgeous 64 Fleetwood has seen throughout its 50 year life. Beautiful 60's style dash with plenty of chrome. Still original, and in perfect condition! This is the bottom of the left rear door. Beautiful wood only found in the Fleetwood....The pinnacle of luxury. This is at the back of the the left rear door opening! This is the bottom of the right rear door! All totally unrestored and original! This is at the back of the the right rear door opening! In 1964 This was the "Standard of the World"! Left hand drive.In 1959 Cadillac parted company with General Motors top designer Harley Earl, and launched the swan song of the decadent 1950s tail fin and chrome era. GM's Art and Color studio created one of the greatest icons of the 1950's automotive era, the 1959 Cadillac. No single automotive design better characterized the industry's late 50s flamboyance than the 1959 Cadillac. Large tailfins, twin bullet taillamps, two distinctive rooflines and roof pillar configurations and new jewel-like grille patterns on both the front and rear truly personified these cars. The base engine produced an ample 325bhp, however, on the Eldorado and Fleetwood models, horsepower was increased to 345.The Fleetwood model Cadillacs featured a rear facing, bullet shaped, scoop-like convex panel that stretched from the tail of the car to midway through the rear doors. This lavish trim was further highlighted by chrome belt molding that stretched all the way around the rocketship-style side scoop. Loaded with every amenity possible, the top of the line Cadillacs featured power accessories like the autotronic eye which automatically dimmed its headlights for the driving convenience of oncoming cars. Other standard power features included vent windows, seats, steering and brakes. The gracious interior appointments and independent coil sprung suspension provided both the driver and passengers with a more than satisfactory ride in the plushest of environments.The Sixty Special Fleetwood on offer here received a thorough restoration in the early 1990s. Since then the Cadillac Fleetwood is reported to have been driven sparingly and remains in well restored, presentable condition throughout. On the expansive chrome, there is only some minor blemishing reported in the jeweled bumper area. The blue metallic paintwork seems to be in good condition overall. The foam padded curved fitted dashboard is reported to have been fully replaced and the interior looks to be in good overall condition. This 1959 Fleetwood is fully equipped with the distinctive autotronic eye and a wide assortment of power accessories and conveniences. Nearly unmatched in their outlandish styling and close resemblance to the famed Batmobile, the 1959 Cadillac Fleetwoods, with their dummy side air intakes, earned their place in history as among the most comfortable, amply powered American luxury cars ever built.
