I have for sale a nice 1960 Cadillac series 62 coupe. It is the desirable Ebony Black & Olympic White colors from the factory. This Cadillac has a history of being cared for and it shows, always being stored inside and has a documented low mileage of 45137. There is an oil change sticker on the drivers door that shows the date 7-8-83 and mileage of 33538 and a copy of a title dated 7-31-84 with a mileage of 40220. Another great thing about this car is it is 99% rust free and has no evidence of ever being taken apart for major repairs. It had a thick rust proofing undercoating when it was new which prevented any corrosion. Even the rear wheel skirts and that area in the wheel opening, which is the first to rust out, are in great shape. The paint was done in the 90's and is a base coat/clear coat paint, so it polishes out very nicely. We did a 3-stage paint restoration on it, and the paint turned out very deep & glossy but there are chips and many other small defects, but from 10 feet away it looks great! All the sheet metal on this Cadillac is nice and straight, no dents. The original spare and all jack equipment are still with the car. The interior of the car is all original except for a dash cover cap and we installed a new headliner, the original one was discolored. All the glass on the car is good, no cracks, scars or scratches but the windshield has some small bubbles in it. The chrome and stainless on the car are in very good condition except for a couple pieces shown in the pictures. We completely rebuilt the brake and fuel systems on the car along with checking and replacing anything that needed it to make sure it was mechanically sound. These Cadillac coupes are getting hard to find in an affordable condition like this one, most are fully restored and expensive or complete basket cases. UP FOR BID: 1955 CADILLAC SERIES 62 CONVERTIBLE. THIS CAR IS MOSTLY ORIGINAL I HAD THE ENGINE REBUILT AND IT HAS ABOUT 1000 MILES ON IT NOW. THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER WHICH HAS BEEN UP GRADED FROM A SINGLE RESERVOIR TO A DUAL RESERVOIR. THE POWER,VACUUM ANTENNA HAS BEEN CHANGED TO AN ELECTRIC ANTENNA. I PAINTED THE CAR IN 2011. AS FAR AS I CAN TELL, INTERIOR IS ORIGINAL. THE SPEED-O-METER WORKS AND SOME OF THE ORIGINAL GAUGES WORK, BUT NOT ALL. I INSTALLED A GAUGE PACK RATHER THAN FIX THEM. THE AUTO DIMMING HEADLIGHT SENSOR DOSE NOT WORK. THE TOP WORKS WELL, BUT THE TOP MATERIAL IS ORIGINAL AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE FOUR SPEED HYDRO- MATIC HAS BEEN REBUILT ABOUT 400 MILES AGO. THE POWER SEATS AND WINDOWS WORK WELL. I REPLACED THE RADIO WITH A MODERN RADIO. I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL WONDER BAR RADIO IN A BOX AND THE ORIGINAL POWER BRAKE UNIT IN A BOX AS WELL. THE WIDE, WHITE WALL, RADIAL TIRES HAVE ABOUT 1000 MILES ON THEM. THE STAINLESS STEEL SPOKE HUB CAPS ARE ORIGINAL TO THE CAR AND ARE IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. Due to a pending expansion to our family, our beloved lipstick red Cadillac Series 62 Coupe (aka Lucille - for the fiery redhead of 1950's American TV) has to go to a new owner. This beautiful statement of American automotive history was restored about 10 years ago, and has gone about 17,700 miles since then. It's been garaged and maintained religiously since then as well. Originally a Colorado car, it's been in the west since new. There was minor rust repair to the rear quarters during the restoration (rain exposure only), but the rest of the car is and rust free, except for a quarter-sized spot on the corner of the right front bumper as shown in the pics. The restoration was well done, but was not a frame-off resto. That's actually the reason we bought the car--it was drivable to shows and weekend date nights without the risk of tarnishing a $25,000 museum restoration. This is a real cruiser--we take it to (the original) Orange County CA Cars & Coffee, and it's a regular every weekend at the local Brea, CA nights on the town. The fantastic Harley Earl styling is amazing in this red, and the car is a show stopper wherever we go. The restoration was an absolute factory original job, with build-plate accurate paint and interior colors, including fabrics. It even has the original Delco-style battery and generator arrangement and rubber Cadillac floor mats. The good: It runs great, doesn't burn much oil, and the oil stays clean between changes. Transmission shifts nicely, parking brake works (trans has no "Park" range) and it rides and handles as a vintage Caddy should. The interior needs nothing, except maybe a vintage radio update. All interior accessories work (including the vacuum wipers). Right rear power window motor is new. The dual-core heater will roast a turkey in the interior, it's seriously powerful. Paintwork is excellent, with no door dings or major flaws. Some older paint chips that have been touched up here and there. Coker wide-white radial tires are virtually new and wearing evenly. Both rear bumper corners are newly re-chromed as well. Brakes and suspension are all fine. What it needs: Carburetor was rebuilt within the last two years but it needs some fine tuning--there's a sag at first acceleration when the engine is cold. The rear main seal drips a couple drops after each trip. Some of the trunk upholstery needs final finishing nearest the trunk opening. The Autronic Eye (auto-dimming headlamps) is complete and original but recently not working--I know nothing about vacuum-tube processors. The exhaust tailpipes should be perfectly centered in the rear bumper tip openings--but they are not...this is a job that requires some real exhaust shop workmanship that I just hadn't gotten to yet. We are sad to have to list this car, but priorities must be set. It's time for this investment to move to a new home.

1951 Coupe Deville 62 Series .......... I have owned and enjoyed this car 10 years, The car was painted when I Bought from Califorina had no "RUST" at all I before being restored I posted a picture before I purchased ...... It has rebuilt 331 CI engine With probably 3500 or so miles on her, I had the Transmission rebuilt to original specs 1 year ago, I have all the original hard ware that comes with the car, new carpets headliner door panels seats were done when I purchased ..... The Power windows I converted from hydraulics to electric, updated to 12 volt from 6......car runs like pictured ...... Everything in working order lights, brakes heat ,the rear defogger still in trunk, didn't hook up due to the package tray I didn't want to cut, this is a turn key car ready enjoy and have enjoyed many car shows out of state with her drives like your in your living room ........car is as nice as pictures no hidden surprises "Detroit Iron at its Best"And yes There is no RUST..... 1955 Caddy convertible. This car has had a body off restoration ,the frame was sandblasted and painted gray with suspension detailed. It now has 4 wheel disk brakes with a 1958 larger brake booster and adjustable air ride suspension on all 4 corners which lower the car bout 5 inches from ride height. The engine a original 331 cu.in. that was rebuilt stock and the trans is a turbo 400 also completely rebuilt.The interior and trunk is all redone in gray and the power top which is new is black.The wheels are 18 inch Boss with goodyear p245/45r18 tires on all 4 corners. The exterior car handles are shaved and open with a remote control key fob, hood and trunk ornaments and emblems also are removed for a nice clean appearance. Car also has power windows and power front which all work perfectly. All the lights and signals work as they should. The body is straight as a arrow and the paint is beautiful. This car was built right. Also has a very nice sounding stereo system mounted in stock location in dash with amp and speakers in the trunk. The bumpers are all redone with Mira - Chrome and look amazing on the car. Also has original syle air cleaner on motor. The car starts easy and runs like a top. See video of motor running. The Cadillac Lasalle Grand National is in Brookfield WI this Week--pick it up there, I am 15 minutes away and the car will be there too! Here we have a 1950 Cadillac Series 62 4 door. I am the third owner in 65 years. It has original paint, engine, transmission, even the headliner is original and intact. Awesome patina to the paint! Granted, the paint is original and shines up nice but is not free of defects. The paint is far from perfect, abrasions and There are some minor surface rust areas, the roof and the trunk lid are showing paint chips, looks great if you are wanting a original car--love the look myself There is evidence of a repair in the past--left rear leading edge of the fender--cannot see where the paint may have been blended--could have been a repair done many years ago, the front floors have also been patched--again it was a long time ago--from the bottom it is hard to tell they are patches, also, the inside leading edge of the rear wheel well have patches--nothing major, we did some small patches to keep the NEW carpeting from getting damaged Interior has had the red highlights on the dash resprayed, the seats have fitted vinyl covers as the original seat fabric is in poor condition, the headliner is great, gauges all work, window go up and down smoothly, the radio is disconnected and missing the knobs, the glove box liner is a poor repair, carpet is new. Steering Wheel is cracked The defroster motor is disconnected at this time--I am trying to find a wiring diagram to show me how to hook back up, just the under hood blower is not wired to the switch. Also has the option rear seat electric heater located under the front passenger seat--the blower motor is in need of replacement The engine runs smooth and transmission shifts well, drives straight down the road. Has NEW master cylinder, and brakes are in good condition., tires have tread left and feature PORTAWALL whitewalls, it has a muffler without a tailpipe that reaches the rear of the car--could use an exhaust, battery and voltage regulator are new The trunk pan is in good shape, still has the original jack instructions Chrome is all original, there is pitting and some holes, still shows well and shines nice. The rear fender skirt mounts are not complete and I only have one of the original skirts--drivers side--the other is missing but readily available on ebay Overall, the car turns a lot of heads, runs good--I would drive it anywhere--it has survived for 65 years, it is an original Wisconsin car--I do have the original Cadillac underhood identification card showing the purchaser, dealership, delivery date--it was still under the hood! Headlights, brake lights, tail lights, wipers all work--it is a driver that you can drive anywhere! I hate to part with it but have another item I need the money asap Clock is inoperable, also horn needs repair on the steering wheel, I think the spring broke as horns work with power directly applied.
