Why Spectacular? 19,000 Original Miles on this beautiful Mandarin Orange Metallic Eldorado. This car looks to be all original with the exception of the tires, front and rear bumper fillers. I received documentation to support the reported miles in the form of a signed odometer statement from the previous owner, a service record from a local Cadillac dealer in 2004 with documented 17,838 miles, and an appraisal from 1993 with 14,130 miles on it. The documentation is worth noting, however once you look at the condition of the carpet, seats, paint, under the hood and chassis, you'll be very impressed. The interior of this car is incredible. All power options on this one; power seats, power windowns, power locks, and power convetible top that all work! The carpets were well taken care of. The dash and components are perfect. The door panels are great. The interior electronics all seem to work appropriately. The only flaw, which you see in the pictures, are two very small blemishes in the leather seats. The convertible top is excellent and a standard orange vinyl soft boot is included. The exterior paint finish is what you would expect of an original 1975 model with 19,000 miles. There are a few scratches and knicks here and there. I chose not to touch up and molest the originality. The unique part of the car will be the dealer optioned "Continental" deck lid. I was told it was $500 option at the dealer when you bought the car. I was told these were done in lacquer, and many of you may know that years of aging creates a sinking effect and the body work to construct is noticeable up close. The white paint-on pinstripes are all intact, no burn through anywhere! The chrome bumpers and stainless trim all around are great. One hubcap has a little rash on it. The glass is great as well, including the rear glass window. This way this car goes down the road is impressive, I assume like they did new. The motor has no apparent leaks. The transmission shifts smoothly. Mechanically what you would expect. I believe the original muffler and exhaust is still on the car, the muffler rear seam is split a bit and slightly noticeable, see pictures. You will also notice how nice it is underneath the hood. The original decals intact, none missing from what I can tell. It has a newer AC compressor, still R-12 and worked this fall! As mentioned, the originality is incredible. You shouldn't be disappointed with this one, however if you need clarification please ask about anything! These quality 70's Cadillac's are becoming more popular every day. This question always comes up: Can I drive this home? My answer: First of all, you can do whatever you want. Everything checks out during my 20 miles of driving, however it is 40 years old! The car runs good, has clean oil, clean transmission fluid, but things can happen! This vehicle is being sold "as is" with no warranty. I am relisting this car because the buyer put an offer on the car without having seen the car and did not have the funds to pay for it. This is a nice 1952 Cadillac convertible survivor. It has been in storage since the 1970's. At that time, it had a light restoration. It has the rare continental kit. This is not a show car, but a very nice car with all of the right options that make it a worthwhile investment. The body is paint code No. 1, which is black. The paint is in nice condition. The sides are nice and straight. A lot of the chrome has been rechromed. The interior is red leather. It will need a new top as you can see in the photos. I have not tried to operate the power windows or top, so they will need to be lubricated. The frame is in excellent condition. The trunk is solid, with no rust holes. It has the original interior in the trunk. There is one rust hole on the driver's side floor. It will need carpeting. The interior is in good condition, but some of the stitching on the leather seats will need to be redone. The motor runs quiet. It has new exhaust and gas tank. From sitting, the brakes will need to be freed up. Also, the carburetor should be rebuilt. I have only driven the car around my yard, and it runs nice and quiet. It has good tires. It seems to shift smoothly. It is missing two bottom chrome strips. Since it has been in storage, it should have a complete mechanical check-over before driving on the road. The car has a clear Wisconsin title in my name. Please ask any and all questions you may have before bidding. I fully intend to sell this car, so do not place an offer or bid unless you intend to purchase the car. Also, you are welcome to come and inspect the car in person. I can store the car safely in my garage until the buyer can make arrangements to pick it up.
