Finding one that you can build yourself means doing it in fiberglass, or you can purchase this already built steel car with a great classic look and start having fun immediately. Doesn't seem like a very tough decision, does it? This 1934 Ford coupe definitely has The Look. At a glance, you can instantly spot a steel car, and it has a crispness and level of detail that's tough to get in any fiberglass reproduction. A slightly chopped top gives it the ultimate hot rod look without seeming too radical and it's easy to spot the expert workmanship. The fenders are fiberglass and fit well and don't detract from the graceful curve of the running board along the lower edges of the bodywork and suicide-style doors are always cool. The bright Porsche Guards Red paint is nicely done and they made the right decision when they left off the graphics and other distractions; you simply can't make a '34 Ford coupe look better than this. It retains all its wonderful original details, including the pointed grille, twin horns, and cowl lights, which really help with the look. A few custom details like the radio antenna on the rear deck, the frenched license plate out back, and a deleted spare tire carrier remind you that this is a rod, and it has a fantastic finished look that will draw appreciative glances from everyone who sees it. The tasteful tan cloth interior makes the cozy coupe feel spacious, not claustrophobic like some chopped 3-windows we've seen. A wide bench that makes the most of the floor space is a big part of it, and even six-footers can get comfortable behind the wheel. A tilt column helps, and it's fitted with a leather-wrapped billet banjo wheel with a V8 emblem that make it look like it was born there. Attractive cream-colored gauges from Auto Meter give it a vintage look and the billet instrument panel ties together nicely with the wheel and Vintage Air HVAC controls. This car also includes such niceties as power windows, and AM/FM stereo with CD changer, and even a clock in the glove box lid, as original. Since this car is built for cruising and ideally suited to road trips, there's also a nicely finished trunk upholstered to match the interior. A 1970 Corvette donated the 350 cubic inch V8 that lives under the Ford's pointed nose and once you get over your Chevy-in-a-Ford fixation, you'll realize it's an awesome choice. Reliable, powerful, and easy to service, this rod is built to drive. You also won't be ashamed to open that louvered hood, because there are polished and painted finned valve covers, neat, clean wiring, and lots of chrome pieces to make it stand out. Little things suggest the builder went the extra mile, like allen bolts that were used throughout just to make it look cool. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission feeds a Nova 10-bolt rear, and while everything was once painted and highly detailed, you can see that this is one well-sorted rod today. A Pete and Jake's front suspension works with a 4-link and coil-overs out back, and there's a disc brake at all four corners. Gorgeous Wheel Vintiques chrome wires keep the 1930s look and allow it to wear modern 185/70/15 front and 235/70/15 rear Michelin radials. I love my new (used) car!I recently purchased a new 2014 Mustang GT premium. i knew going in the basic kind of car i wanted. they didn't have what i wanted at the dealership so they searched all nearby dealers and couldn't find what i was looking. we ended up placing a custom order threw ford to get the exact car i wanted. he quoted me a price, after incentives including taxes, and all applicable fees. i took my vehicle specs and the price he gave me and contacted local dealers to see if they could beat Laurel Fords offer, and they either offered a higher amount or didn't answer back at all. it was the best deal within 75 miles of where i lived. i decided to place the order threw Laurel Ford and it took about 9 weeks to get built and delivered. they kept me updated on my vehicle status with weekly emails. they did not pressure me into buying any additional upgrades or packages. when i the vehicle finally came i was relieved to find it was exactly what i wanted but also the price i paid was the exact price he quoted me 9 weeks prior. they are very transparent with their offers, so if they say this is what you will pay, you can expect to pay that and not a penny more. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the car and helped me get acquainted with all its gadgets. i also want to mention i traded in my old car towards this purchase. they gave me the highest amount Kelly Blue book said my car was worth. it was overall a pleasant experience. i will buy from them for life and recommend them to anyone interested in a new car.Though Im not the smartest when it comes to keeping vehicles (have owned a new one every two years) I do have a lot of experience with the car buying process and buying from Laurel Toyota was the smoothest and best yet.
