The last restoration on this car was started by a retired sherriff in Alton, Illinois and finished by Fast Lane Cars in St. Louis in 2008. Fast lane sold the car to a private party in Arkansas. We received this car from a private collection out of Arkansas. We've done very little to it aside from a much-needed tune up. It now starts and drives wonderfully and is plenty fast (especially for its tire width). This is a numbers-matching motor car (please see photos) and we believe all panels to be original. Rear passenger and rear wind screen glass appear to be original, while front glass looks to have been replaced. This is a rust-free, problem free car. Paint is in excellent condition, with very few flaws (these include some extremely minor chipping below the close line on the hood). Interior is excellent as well. Seats, carpet, dash are all exquisite. Some gauges and trim pieces appear to be original and show some hazing/wear. All lights, power windows, and amenities work in this car. We do *not* have a build sheet on this car, which is reflected in pricing. We do believe it to be original (we've done a LOT of studying Arlington VIN stamps) and it has clearly been well cared for. Where do we get our inventory? We have many different sources for the cars and trucks we stock. Vehicles may be purchased at dealer sales, at off-lease sales, directly from large franchise dealers, from credit unions and banks. The vehicles we sell on eBay are usually late model (2002 and newer) and have good miles and may still be under a factory warranty. We resell cars with clean titles only, this means we never sell salvage, rebuilt, reconstructed, insurance claim, flood or other gray market vehicles unless specifically noted. Do you have all titles on hand for your vehicles? We do not always have titles on hand for vehicles that are placed for sale, titles may be in transit from banks, from other dealerships, from the state, and a host of other reasons for normal processing delays in title paperwork. We are a licensed and bonded dealer in Texas and guarantee clear titles on all vehicles that we sell. If having title on hand is of critical importance to you, please check to verify its disposition prior to contracting for sale. What 'other' fees are there besides the purchase price? The other fees include taxes, shipping and documentation charges. If you live in Texas, you must pay 6.25% of the sales price of the car as a tax to the state. All buyers are required to pay Texas Vehicle Inventory Tax (VIT) tax of 0.002365% of the purchase price. (The VIT Tax is based on the county in Texas where the dealership is located,Silver Star Motors is located in Tarrant county). There is a $195 dealer services fee for handling paperwork, filing titles, mailing and copying costs, these fees are fixed and is non negotiable. How is shipping of the vehicle arranged, can I get a quote? We are happy to handle all of the details of shipping your new vehicle to its new home.
