Through solid engineering and fresh innovation, America's best-selling nameplate has dominated the full-size truck market for close to 30 years. With that in mind, the demand for classic trucks has never been hotter. And that means, after a lifetime of dedicated service, more and more of these gladiators are being retired to dry garages and leisurely show fields. One such stalwart is this magazine-featured F100. The beneficiary of an extensive, frame-off restoration, this award-winning Effie wraps a dressed small block and elegant interior in many well-thought modifications that make it a perfect candidate for miles of parade and years of display. If you're in the market for a stand out classic, settle in and take a closer look at this sweet Ford pickup! Purchased as a solid California driver, this F100 continued to work on a farm even after the first restoration of its mostly-original sheetmetal. But it wasn't long until the pickup had become the pride of its family, and its owners decided to move forward with an epic, no-holds-barred teardown. After being shipped to a well-known shop by the name of Hot Rod Fabrication in Auburn, Washington, the truck's body was entirely disassembled and thoroughly cleaned. Once that tough fuselage was reassembled and two-times blocked, two coats of Epoxy primer laid a nice foundation for modern Ford Toreador Red Metallic base. That pigment was detailed with an Oak bed, which underwent its own process of rejuvenation via Vermont Maple stain, lots of sanding and three coats of resin. And everything was eventually sprayed in a slick layer of urethane clear. In late 2006, the truck was rolled out of the paint booth to be lovingly wet-sanded and carefully polished. And today, a little over $267K later, this classy hot rod is one sizzling show-stopper that's cooler than pretty much every car at any show its owner chooses to attend! A big part of successfully marketing cars and trucks is coming up with memorable but sometimes cheesy slogans. You might find this clich, but 'Built Ford Tough' and 'Built To Last' perfectly describe this fine custom. Despite taking on the softer attributes of a street rod, it still maintains the rugged good looks of traditional Ford trucks. And, thanks to the previous owner's carefully planned modifications, it has a distinct charm that'll last for generations. That charm begins with a bright chrome grille, which hangs a big "V8" emblem and modern tri-bar headlights over integrated parking lamps and a classy chrome bumper. Behind that grille, a CPP reverse-tilt hood positions intricate Ford emblems around a filled cowl and capped windshield wipers. At the sides of that hood, broad fenders lead the eye to rounded doors, traditional door handles, custom running boards and a custom fuel door. At the top of those fenders, an exclusive 'Big Window' cab hangs filled seams and an original backlite behind small mirrors, correct "Custom Cab" emblems and stylish stainless trim. And at the back of the truck, a chained, "FORD" stamped tailgate rides between "Ford" branded taillights and a second classy bumper. Sometimes looks can be deceiving. Case in point: the fact that this truck's grille sports a broad Ford V8 badge when, in reality, its conservative Y-Block was long ago exchanged for a modern Chevy small block that's been professionally rebuilt, fully finished and bored out to a stout 411 cubic inches! At the top of that smoothed mill, a polished air cleaner funnels wind in to a Holley 750 carburetor that's serviced by polished fuel lines, an Auto Meter pressure gauge, braided fuel hoses and a coated Edelbrock pump. Below that carb, a polished B&M 144 supercharger feeds milled, ported and polished Edelbrock Performer heads, which anchor stainless valves and Crane roller rockers beneath aluminum, "CHEVROLET" branded valve covers. Below those heads, Eagle H-beam connecting rods push dished Keith Black pistons at the sides of a beefy Crane roller cam. Combustion is sparked by MSD 8360 ignition, which is hooked to a traditional points distributor, loomed Taylor plug wires and Jacobs ceramic plug boots. Cooling comes courtesy of a custom Ron Davis radiator, a big pulley fan, polished fluid tubes and a coated Edelbrock water pump. And spent gases travel through custom, long-tube headers that bolt in proximity to a modern serpentine system, which spins a polished alternator opposite a Vintage Air AC compressor. Aesthetically, the jet-black mill contrasts well against great looking dress up items like a polished overflow tank, a polished K&N fuel filter and a high quality Lokar throttle linkage. And concealed American Autowire electronics combine with a 4-inch recessed firewall to seamlessly accommodate the truck's slightly relocated drivetrain. Every good hot rod has a solid foundation. Flip this Ford upside down and you'll find a roster of mechanical improvements that mix classic looks with modern mobility. Behind the big-bore engine, a smoothed and race-prepped 700R4 4-speed makes good use of a 2,800 RPM torque converter. That converter twists power to a powder-coated Lincoln Versailles axle, which spins 4.11 Richmond gears. Holding that tough transmission off the ground is an F2 Camaro front half, which frames beefy Eibach springs and a GM Saginaw steering box in proven Fat Man control arms. Holding that exclusive rear end off the ground is a Ford back half, which utilizes relocated spring mounts to hang custom Southwest leaf springs. All that impressive hardware gravitates around a boxed and smoothed frame that's been braced with tubular cross members. The drivetrain's momentum is countered by GM front disc brakes, Ford rear disc brakes and a heavy duty Wilwood proportioning valve. The custom, 3-inch headers flow into a 3-inch, ceramic-coated exhaust system that shuffles spent gases through throaty Flowmaster mufflers. Everything rolls on 16-inch Centerline wheels, which spin 225/55 BF Goodrich Comp T/As in front of 255/50 BF Goodrich Comp T/As. And everything, from the truck's Milodon oil pan to its shortened driveshaft, is fully sorted and ready to roll! 1-part vintage and 1-part modern, this pickup's warm and welcoming interior looks straight out of an old school Hot Rod magazine. At the front of the cockpit, a red-capped dash centers a Clarion CD player between simple air conditioning vents, small MQQN gauges and a modified speedo that was tweaked by United Speedometer Service. In front of that dash, a hand-stuffed, Tijuana-style seat seems appropriate to the feel of the truck's restoration. At the bottom of that seat, Dynamat insulation anchors premium carpet under a Lokar shifter, billet foot pedals, and piped and color-keyed floor mats. Opposite that carpet, a fiberglass headliner anchors an original speaker and dome lamp behind an original, body-matched mirror. At the edges of that liner, custom side panels integrate power windows, chrome door handles and sculpted armrests behind modern kick speakers. In front of the driver, a polished and leather-wrapped Lecarra steering wheel laps a cool MQQN tachometer, which is anchored to a tilting Ididit column. And behind the passengers, a custom stainless fuel tank rides under a requisite fire extinguisher. The proud new owner of this American icon will receive:An original data plateA stack of restoration receiptsA copy of the truck's April, 2007 feature in Custom Classic Trucks MagazineA binder that includes a detailed restoration history and numerous restoration photosA pair of stainless windshield wipers The classic truck market has never been better, and customs like this svelte F100 are a testament as to why. With a reliable, well-dressed drivetrain, comfortable custom interior and clean lines all around, this Ford is guaranteed to turn heads everywhere it goes. 1979 Lincoln Mark V “Collectors Series” One Family Owned from NewUnder 97,000 actual miles VIN: 9Y89S748454 So, where else are you buying your clean, low-mileage, collectable Lincolns anyway? Reluctantly, this car was turned over to us by the grandson of the original owner a short time ago. Considering the over-all condition it’s apparent this Mark V has been lovingly cared for its entire life. The odometer now reads 96,967 and, based on the owner’s history recitation, are considered the original miles. Think about it, this boulevard cruiser has averaged less than 2,800 miles per year since new! According to the grandson, it seems Mrs. Hassman (the wife of the original owner) wanted him to consider buying a next generation 1980 Mark VI as they had just begun arriving in showrooms. Mr. Hassman regretted not grabbing a Diamond Jubilee Model the previous year and stuck to his guns, driving off the lot with this much more desirable Mark V “Collectors Series” (essentially a continuation of the 50th anniversary cars that added $8,000 to the list price). As always, please contact me at (206)914-1173 with questions or to discuss a sale. My name is Mark Thompson. If you follow my Ebay auctions regularly you know I’ve been able to ferret out and offer a number of clean, unique Lincolns here the past ten years. We’ve sold all four versions of the Mark V Designer Coupe and a few very sharp Mark III & IV’s as well. Finding a rare, well-kept Collector’s Series is a real treat! The car was purchased new at the Everett, Washington Lincoln-Mercury dealership during the fall of 1979 and it has always been local to the north Puget Sound area. For those not familiar with the Lincoln Mark V series here’s a little background info gleaned from several sources: The final opportunity to purchase a full-sized American luxury car came in 1977 with the introduction of the Mark V. Never again would automobiles be so large, or demonstrate such a sheer presence based on size alone. For many years Lincoln had trailed Cadillac in sales, but during the sixties and seventies Lincoln finally established a look it could claim as its own, and finally started to challenge Cadillac for the top spot. In fact, the Mark series often outsold its competitor, the Eldorado. The 1977 - 79 Mark V was Lincoln's supreme achievement, the pinnacle of American luxury car design that has its roots buried in the age when bigger was better, style was based on grand visions, and a powerful engine under the hood provided status and became part of the American dream. Since Cadillac had down-sized its sedans in 1977 and, two years later, the Eldorado, the Continentals were the final full-sized, full-fledged American luxury cars. In the late summer of 1979 Lincoln put its customers on notice that this model year would be their last opportunity, and they'd best not put it off for long if they wanted a new traditional luxury car. CONDITION Ever spent an afternoon driving a classy, vintage Lincoln? What fun! Smooth is the word for sure. Smooth powerful acceleration. Smooth handling in the curves or on the highway. Comfort, styling, and versatility all in one gorgeous ride. For my money, these decked out Collector’s Series Coupes are the best value for the overall driving experience that Lincoln had to offer. Look over my photos and I’m sure you’ll agree what a find this is. In many ways “time capsule” is a good adjective to use when describing this car. I know you’ll admire its overall provenance. All the glass is fine. Though I’m no expert, the exterior appears to still be wearing the original factory white paint and hand-painted pinstripes. The landau heavy vinyl top is the nicest original you’re going to find; NO cracks, fading or UV-induced “tiger claw” splits. Collector Series cars did not have the oval opera window on the rear sail panel and can also be identified by their gold grille bars, a unique crystal-like insert hood ornament and the padded “spare tire” hump on the rear deck that matches the landau top. Climb over, under and throughout - I know you’ll come up smiling! You’re NOT going to find body rust in the typical areas where it appears on vehicles from other parts of the country. Yes, the Puget Sound region is famous for rain, but our winter roads are rarely salted. At most we’ll have one or two days of light snow. Everyone panics and just stays home. Mechanically the car seems quite strong. Even after sitting in my warehouse for a few days at a time it never fails to start right up with the first few cranks. You just can’t beat the great 400 CID motors in these ‘79 coupes! Pump the gas a few times, turn the key and it starts right up, even when cold. The strong C-6 automatic three-speed transmission shifts just as it should with no slippage or other issues and we all know how good these Ford/Lincoln rear differentials are! The brakes feel just fine to me, too. All four original factory-optioned turbine-style alloy wheels are straight & true. Each is wrapped with very nice touring radials and have at least 90% remaining tread. Because the Mark V had been in dry storage when we acquired it, our mechanic gave it a good going-over after being trailered to our Auburn warehouse. We replaced the fuel tank & sending unit, flushed the fuel lines and rebuilt the carburetor. Fresh sparkplugs were also added before startup. I’ve spent many days both cruising the freeway and inching through rush hour traffic and can’t find fault with the way this Lincoln runs or drives out. I continue to use it 2 or 3 times per week as a freeway commuter, adding about 35 miles each round trip. My interior photos clearly show the great original midnight blue fabric upholstery front and back. There aren’t any wear spots in the usual places and these plush buckets (unique to the Collector Series) hold your bum comfortably for hours! I’m quite impressed with the condition of the dash gauges, too. They’re as clear and bright as the day this rig left the Wixom plant on an August afternoon nearly 35 years ago! The ashtray’s never seen a cigarette! The carpets are clean and un-faded (the original blue floor mats were in place and will be included). The headliner is great. Though I’ve only found a few things, I always try to point out any observed negatives as well. While the heater will keep you toasty warm, plan on having the AC system serviced/recharged to blow cold. Looks most of the R-12 refrigerant leaked out. The extra-large glass moonroof is great, but doesn’t slid open when pressing the power switch in the headliner. Both the small passenger & driver wind-wing windows and the main glass go up and down just fine. The power driver’s seat moves in all directions and angles except up/down. The original Ford Quadrasonic AM-FM/8-track stereo is still in place and works well. I came across quite a few eight-track tape cartridges still stored in the center console by the late Mr. Hassman back in the 1970’s (as you might expect, they’re all big-band artists and even a Polka player). You’ll appreciate the Cartier clock. There are NO cracks in the padded dash and the unique ebony-toned faux woodgrain inserts look great! Often I’ll encourage folks to do what many of our previous buyers from as far away as Alaska, California, the east coast, Canada and even the Mexican Baja have done – fly in here to the Seattle-Tacoma International just a few miles from my vehicle storage warehouse in Auburn. I’m happy to meet you there at the airport and you can begin the journey home the same day! I wouldn't hesitate to drive this Lincoln on a long-distance road trip. TERMS OF SALE: Please check the photos over closely and call me with any questions BEFORE you hit the "BUY" or "OFFER" buttons! Come by my Auburn, WA warehouse and drive the Lincoln if you’re in the area. DEALERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO PURCHASE AS WELL! Additionally, I reserve the right to end the sale early if the car is no longer available or an acceptable offer has been agreed upon. Please BUY WITH CONFIDENCE and know that you are purchasing a nice vehicle from a respected, long-term Ebay seller. I want you to be happy with your purchase (and with me) and that’s the main goal! Please don’t be upset if I miss some flaws or you are required to spend a small amount on an unforeseen problem! No used car is ever perfect. While it is being sold AS-IS, I have every reason to feel this vehicle could be driven cross-country immediately. A nonrefundable $500 deposit is due within 48 hours with the balance to be paid within seven business days unless prior arrangements have been made with me. I can accept PAYPAL, but if you plan to pay any more than the deposit through them I’ll first need to first invoice you and ask that you cover the 3.5% fee PayPal charges. Please remember you are obligated to purchase the Lincoln by pushing the "BUY" button and I will expect you to fulfill your Ebay contract! You’re not doing so to hold or then come inspect and test-drive the vehicle later -- You’re more than welcome to do this before the listing ends. SHIPPING THE CAR: If you decide to have the Lincoln transported I’d suggest getting a quote from Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS) at (800)830-1787. They’re the biggest in the business and are partnered with Ebay. Give the operator my affiliate number (2362642). They can then pull up all our information for a station-to-station or even door-to-door quote. Alternatively, you may also want to get shipping bids from the U-ship website. You’ll be able to choose a transport broker from multiple offers. The zip code for pick-up on my end is 98002 (Auburn, WA). As always, the transport of the car and company chosen are the responsibility of the BUYER and I’ll be happy to work with whoever you choose. You may keep the Lincoln stored at my warehouse for up to two weeks after the auction closes assuming full payment has been received. After this period I charge $20/day storage.

1981 Mercedes Benz 300SD Turbo Diesel VIN: WDBCB20A9BB005666 Here’s another desirable, great-running & driving Mercedes we’ve just recently acquired for our Ebay customers. This nice 300SD was reluctantly passed on to us a few weeks ago by the long-term owner hoping we could help find its next caretaker. From the moment I laid eyes on this nice sedan, it was obvious the car has been treated with respect and care over the years. I’ve got to tell you, having driven it virtually every day since, what a treat! Where else will you find this kind of luxury, vintage style, safety, mechanical reliability AND terrific (25+MPG) fuel economy wrapped up in one gorgeous ride? Please feel free to contact me with any questions. My name is Mark Thompson and my direct phone number is (206)914-1173. You’re welcome and encouraged to make an appointment to inspect and drive this outstanding car. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION Ever driven one of these Mercedes with the powerful 3.0 liter turbocharged diesel engine? Smooth is the word for sure. Smooth powerful acceleration. Smooth handling in the curves or on the highway, too. I’ve always considered these W126 chassis cars constructed through the 1980’s as some of the last hand-built, truly high-quality Mercedes and have heard many others say the same thing! Take a look at the photos and I’m sure you’ll agree with me what a find this is. What you see is the result of a wash and vacuum only. It’s obviously been allowed to spend most of its life garaged because the overall exterior condition is truely superior to 99 percent of the other vintage Benz on the market. Climb over, under and throughout and I know you’ll come up smiling! Rust? Please, this car hates rust and you won’t find a thing to worry. Having spent a lifetime here in the Great Pacific Northwest there’s never been any exposure to corrosion starters. Yes, western Washington State is famous for rain, but our winter roads are never salted. At most we’ll have one or two days of light snow. Everyone panics and just stays home hunkered down with a blanket and book. Climb over, under and all around this sedan - I know you’ll come up smiling!! Having personally owned more than twenty Benz models over the years, I’ve developed a great appreciation for the Mercedes style, mechanical reliability and overall driving experience. THIS CAR RUNS OUT JUST AS IT WAS MEANT TO, VIRTUALLY AS WELL AS THE DAY IT WAS GIVEN THE FINAL WHITE GLOVE INSPECTION AT THE FACTORY. I’VE NEVER DRIVEN A VINTAGE 300SD THAT I’VE LIKED BETTER!! I’m convinced you’ll be proud to own and drive it as well. CONDITION: In total, this is an exceptionally clean, well cared for, smoke-free Mercedes. I take pride in the vehicles we sell and feel that you should know as much about the car as possible. Accordingly, here is a list of the good and also a few small things needing attention: take literally two or three seconds to heat the glow plugs when starting cold and the peppy 3.0L inline five diesel engine starts immediately from cold every time with only few moments of starter cranking! The automatic transmission shifts just as it should with absolutely no slippage. The car idles, runs and drives like a Mercedes is supposed to – strong, immediate oil pressure, strong battery and charging system, no overheating, no brake pull or perceived alignment issues! Last week I put on over 350 miles freeway cruising at 60+ MPH for hours. What appears to be the factory original off white paint is still in great overall condition. Though I’m no expert, I see no evidence of bodywork or accident repair anywhere. Absolutely superior chrome and good exterior trim all around as pictured, too! The front fenders, rear quarters and floor pans are all very solid; in fact the entire undercarriage is in fine, rust-free shape for a thirty-three year-old car! No other real body flaws to point out; all the glass is crack-free. The original Mercedes alloy wheels are straight and true. They’re wrapped with topline 205/70R14 Michelin touring radials with at least 90% tread remaining all around. Take another good look at the interior shots. Often, you’ll find worn, disintegrating leather or vinyl in these cars. This is NOT the case here. The original Mercedes Vinyltex seats (including the rear bench) have held up exceptionally well with no cracks, seam splits or wear-through spots. The heater and A/C fan somes on, but the system would probably benefit from recharge in order to blow colder. I’m assuming the odometer is accurate as both it and the speedometer work fine. The wood trim is original and very decent as pictured. Same goes for the dashpad; it has not sun-faded and there are no cracks or splits. The carpets are clean, un-worn originals both front and back. I will include the fitted Mercedes floormats we received with the car. There’s no evidence of any water leakage, tears or shrinkage on the headliner though it has darkened a bit with age. Becker radios were standard issue in most Mercedes when new and, over the years, have proven to be the weakest link in the sound system across the entire product line. A nice Blaupunkt AM-FM model was installed back in nineties and works great! About the only negatives I’ve found to pass along are: the tachometer registers very intermittently (a frequent thing on W126 cars), the passenger side windows don’t respond to the electric switches (the driver’s works perfectly) and the small “stop-arm” on the driver’s door has lost its door frame mount; this is also very common. Most folks just don’t let their door get over-extended when opening. One afternoon last week we had quite a rainstorm and water leaked into the trunk. I believe it got around the trunk lid seal but has now been thoroughly dried out. I'm always very happy to work with any shipper you choose, but you’re also welcome to do what many past buyers from as far away as Alaska, Arizona, the Midwest, Canada, Florida, New York and even the Mexican Baja have done – fly in here to Seattle (we’ll pick you up at Sea-Tac International just a few miles away) and then start a road trip home the same day. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive long-distance in this Benz! As a respected Ebay seller with many, many satisfied online buyers, I want you to bid with confidence knowing that the Mercedes runs and drives out as it should AND that it is being properly represented to you! Please don’t be upset if I miss a minor flaw or some small issue comes up on the car. NO used vehicle is ever perfect. Having said that, I won’t hesitate to drive cross-country in it today! Please check the photos over closely and call me with any questions BEFORE you place a bid! You’re encouraged to stop by, inspect the Mercedes and take it for a test drive as it is being sold as-is, where-is with a free & clear Washington State title. There are NO title brands for any nasty negatives like salvage/rebuild history, theft or flood damage to cause you concern! Because of the amount of money involved with a vehicle purchase, I reserve the right to cancel your bid if you have any negative feedback. I also ask that potential bidders with a feedback rating of five or fewer transactions on Ebay contact me before placing their bid. Please feel free to contact me directly thru Ebay’s system or, as outlined above, call me at 206/914-1173 anytime. My name is MARK THOMPSON. A Few Additional Terms and Conditions: A nonrefundable $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction’s end. We can accept PAYPAL, but only for the deposit amount because of the high fees they charge. The balance is due by cash or certified funds within seven business days unless prior arrangements have been made with me. Please remember you are bidding to buy and I fully expect the winning bidder to fulfill their Ebay contract! You’re not bidding to hold or then come inspect and test-drive the vehicle later -- You’re more than welcome to do this before the auction ends. If you do decide to have the car shipped home, there are numerous vehicle transport companies to choose from. We ship vehicles regularly and I'd suggest that you get a transport bid from Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS). They're Ebay's preferred transporter and will give you a fair quote. Call my designated rep, Janice, directly at (469)587-5096. Give her my affiliate number (2362642) and she can pull up all our information for door-to-door or even station-to-station prices. As an alternative, you might also get bids from the U-Ship.com website you’ll be able to choose a transport broker from multiple offers. The zip code for pick-up would be 98002 (Auburn, Washington). The shipping of the vehicle and company chosen are the responsibility of the BUYER. The Mercedes can be stored free-of-charge at my location for up to two weeks after the sale ends assuming full payment has been received. After this period storage is $20 per day.
