1957 CHEVROLET BEL AIR SPORT COUPE UNRESTORED FUEL INJECTION SURVIVOR Please note that this is a private party sale! I have owned this unrestored, factory-original survivor fuel-injected sport coupe Bel Air (one of 1530 passenger factory-built fuelies) since December 1999. It is in excellent original mostly unmolested condition. This is a 283 c.i., 250 H.P. Turboglide numbers-matching car. It was assembled In Kansas City, Missouri in May 1957. It has been driven 62,000+ miles up to the present time. The engine has never been rebuilt (hence the original patina in the engine compartment) and runs great. It has a black exterior with a red/black interior. The paint is mostly factory-original and the interior is still in excellent, beautiful original condition. This is a rust-free automobile and as far as I know the car has never been hit - as you can see in some of the pics it is very straight (as we all know a black exterior is not very forgiving as it will highlight flaws such as imperfect body work, waves, wrinkles, etc.). It still has the original rubber trunk mat with the embossed encircled “57”. The fellow that I bought it from, because it had gravel chips in the rocker panel area (the 2nd owner’s house [in Nebraska] was next to a gravel road), had it repainted below the side trim. However, the majority of the paint is shiny original because the car has always been garaged. There are a few minor wear spots (mainly primer showing through the original paint) in several places as a result of constant waxing. Also, there are some gravel chips on the front part of the hood and there are minor scratches here and there. Overall, the exterior paint is in beautiful original condition. Under the hood there are several factory assembly line yellow chalk X’s (see pic) on the hood latch cover. What these X’s refer to is a puzzle but I have been told by several Chevrolet experts that these were most likely an alert to the assembly line workers that a fuel injection system was to be installed in this car. One photo of the chassis (floorboards are solid) shows one of the rear spiral shock absorbers. Another photo shows the engine suffix pad which is F418GF and this translates to Flint, April 18, Turboglide fuel injection. All of the fuel injection components are original to the car. As far as I know the Rochester 4520 fuel injection unit has never been rebuilt. It has always run well with minor tuning done every now and then. The 2nd owner, who bought it in late Fall 1957 (the first owner was a young man and for whatever reason his father made him return it to the dealership), told me when I first bought it that he was informed that this car was a factory demonstrator to promote the sales of fuel injection passenger cars and because of this they made sure that it had the best components installed to keep it running flawlessly. After the factory reps were done the car was sent to a dealership near Omaha, Nebraska where it was sold. I asked the 2nd owner if he had the original dealer paperwork for the car but it ended up getting lost or misplaced. I had him do a notarized “Certificate of Authenticity” for me regarding his history with the car. He had also written a note to the fellow that I had bought the car from detailing pretty much the same info. This car still has all of the original peripheral FI components: Vacuum wiper motor with the Electro-vac switch. Metal clip (on the firewall) to hold the electric choke “pig tail” wire/connector for the air meter.Air intake hose bracket that is attached to the driver-side radiator support (toward the bottom – see pic). Most of these original brackets ended up missing or tossed aside in about 99.9% of the original passenger car fuelies so this is an extremely rare, very hard-to-find item and very, very expensive if ever available. This item is definitely NOT a repro. Electro-vac (with the original Trico string tag) affixed by clutch head screws to the radiator support. Passenger-side exhaust manifold with no vacuum tube hole drilled like the ones for cars with carburetors. Original metal band to attach the air intake hose to the air cleaner. The 3/8-inch fuel line.Original air cleaner with after-market air hose. Original fuel filter.Original 906 distributor. It has a later model fuel pump but I have a correct long-screw fuel pump that goes with the car. Also, the 2nd owner took out the Turboglide many years ago and replaced it with an overdrive 3-speed manual trans. (the overdrive cable is disconnected and I don’t know if it ever was connected). However, he did keep the Turboglide and somehow it managed to go with the car from owner to owner. The Turboglide was recently rebuilt and will be included with all of its necessary components with the sale of the car. I succeeded in finding a fellow that rebuilds Turboglides in Oregon and between he and I managed to find many NOS parts. A fellow that I know that lives in Vancouver, BC, Canada and who owns a restored factory-built ’57 BA sport coupe fuelie is doing a ’57 Chevy fuel injection factory-built survivor passenger cars directory. He has spent a few years trying to locate the real ones and needless to say he has come across many phony clones. He said that he’s come up with approx. 35 factory survivor fuelies (out of 1530 built) in various conditions. He said that 3 of these are very nice unrestored originals - one BA sport coupe (this one) and two BA sport sedans. So as far as he knows, mine is the only very nice unrestored survivor BA FI sport coupe known in existence. Many times I have been asked by certain individuals as to why I don’t restore the car. I find it incredulous that anyone would ask that. My response to them is “If it ain’t broke why fix it?” Also, I tell them that this is an extremely rare car because of what it is and where are you going to find another one as nice as this unrestored original fuel-injected car? However, the ones that are “savvy” about fuelie cars appreciate the fact that it is, for all practical purposes, a very nice survivor with a nice patina. This is an excellent benchmark or reference car. Several years ago a fellow that lives near me was restoring his factory original BA fuelie sport coupe and he would come over from time to time to photograph, measure and take notes because his car was missing a lot of the FI items when he bought it many years ago. I was told at the place where I bought my car in Kansas that several individuals also used this car as a reference. Again, let me stress that this car is a factory-built fuel injected survivor, NOT one of the many phony clones that are prevalent in various car auctions, car shows and/or for sale at various venues from time to time. Quite a few years ago a fellow from California, who had a brother residing near where I lived, learned that I had an original fuelie. It turned out that he’s a respected authority on factory fuel-injected ‘57 Chevys. He contacted me because he wanted to see for himself if this really was a factory fuelie and not a clone. He spent several hours inspecting the car from top to bottom and he told me that this car was definitely the real thing! For anyone that is truly interested in this car I will provide contact information for this gentleman. I am open to reasonable offers (Please don’t waste my time or yours if you’re not serious about it!) I am definitely NOT interested in trades. The odds of finding an unrestored factory-original fuelie 1957 Chevrolet passenger car survivor such as this one is pretty much next to zero, especially one in this condition. So it is obviously an extremely rare car. I will include all paperwork and names that I have of previous owners of the car with the sale. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to email me. Also, if you are truly interested in buying this car you should try to view it in person or have a knowledgeable representative inspect it for you. PLEASE READ! This vehicle is sold as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. A $1000 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours of close of auction either by PayPal or bank wire. The balance is payable ONLY by bank wire or cash if buyer lives nearby and must be paid within 7 days of close of auction. Vehicle and title/bill of sale will not be released until all funds have cleared. Bids from persons with zero, negative, or neutral feedback MUST contact me prior to bidding otherwise bids will be cancelled by me. ABSOLUTELY NO TRADES! Transportation of this vehicle is the responsibility of the winning bidder.

I am relisting again due to the winning bidder who had a zero feedback and assured me he was not a flake won the bid and refused to pay.Big mistake on my part taking his word. His account name is tmacalus1. I will not accept bids if you have less than 10 feedbacks and must contact me first.I also had another knucklehead who had a big feedback rating, bid the reserve price and then retracted his bid so he will also be blocked from bidding. That guy has sold cars before so what goes around comes around. His ebay account name is snoopydog5050 so be cautious of him also. I have raised the buy it now also because of all the lowball offers I received the first time. 1957 Chevy Nomad. This is a California car and has no rust and retains all of its original sheet metal and original paint. There are not many Nomads left with the original paint. As the saying goes they are only original once. The roof was repainted about 12 years ago.The factory undercoating is still present beneath. All of the trim is original and is in incredible condition with no nicks, dents, dings or scratches. The only new trim is the rocker moldings. It's hard to believe that it would not have gotten some sort of damage after 58 years. The bumpers and interior chrome do have some pitting but all of the trim is complete. The glass is in good condition with the exception of the passenger door glass which has a crack. The interior is new except the headliner which is original and only has a very small tear near the rear liftgate. The engine is a 350 with Edelbrock intake and Holley 4 barrel carb.Trans is a turbo 350.The car has headers and new 2 1/2 stainless steel exhaust. The drum brakes are power assist with the original power booster and master cylinder having been rebuilt.Brake shoes and front and rear wheel bearings are new.New shocks. Included in the sale are the original 283 engine with power pack option(4 barrel carb),air cleaner, exhaust manifolds and powerglide transmission, generator, original wheels and hubcaps. Buyer is responsible for shipping cost of car, original engine, trans, and wheels.I will put the eng, trans.and wheels on 2 pallets and and crated so all you have to do is arrange a carrier to pick them up but they must have a pallet jack and lift gate truck. The reason I mention this is in the past I have had carriers show up expecting me to have a fork lift to load which I do not have. Any questions feel free to call Steve 805 581-5676 Car is sold as is with no warranty.

The ’57 Chevy was one of the most popular cars of all time – and it’s still legendary. This car has undergone a full frame-off restoration and it surely makes a statement with its uplifting and illuminating deep, glossy yellow finish. Featuring a nice blend of resto-mod conveniences with a very traditional stock look. Under the hood is as neat as a pin with a brand spankin’ new fully dressed 350 ci small block bored .030 – delivering power and ready to drive anywhere! This V8 is an easy driving and smooth shifting 700R4 4-speed automatic with power steering and power brakes. The interior is pristine with supple custom leather seats that are buttery soft. 1957 Chevrolet 2 Door Bel Air Check out this 1957 Chevrolet 2 Door Bel Air. No other car represents American pride like the iconic 1957 Chevrolet. The car was frame off restored and presents itself very nicely. The car starts, idles, accelerates, shifts smoothly, cruises down the road at highway speeds and stops as good as it looks. It is a very good cruiser car, very dependable and a real eye catcher. I get thumbs up and horns honked everywhere I go. The car has been painted a few years and is still in very good shape. It has just been recently buffed and waxed. It shines very good, looks great and is very presentable but not perfect. It is a great driver, cruise in, local car show car. We have cleaned and done minor touch up of the undercarriage and engine bay, see pics. I have set a reasonable Buy It Now price. The following is a list of some options and equipment but by no means a complete list of what has went into building this awesome street rod. Exterior The paint is very nice and the body is straight with no dents or rust All gaps are great and no alignment issues Color is Tropical Turquoise Bel Air trim All brightwork, chrome and emblems are in very good shape, with no issues, mostly new New Corvette Rally wheels with new bands and flat caps 235/70 R15 BFG raised white letter tires All glass is in great shape with no issues Electric wipers Chassis / Running Gear Very clean and detailed undercarriage (see pics) ALL frame rails and body mounts are solid, no rust All new body bushings Trunk pan is solid New trunk mat Strong small Block Chevy V8 350 New Edelbrock carb New aluminum radiator Power brakes, disk on front and drums on rear Power Steering Frontend is tight with no squeaks or wobbles New gas tank, straps, fuel lines and sending unit Smooth Shifting Turbo 350 auto transmission Original type cross ram exhaust manifolds New mellow sounding dual exhaust Flowmaster mufflers Smooth runner, plenty of power, great cruiser, tracks down the road straight with no issues. Interior Nice two tone black and turquoise interior No rips, holes, worn spots or issues Nice headliner (one seam came loose and has been hand sewn to repair) New door panels Stock seats with new seat covers Stock steering wheel All lights, blinkers and dome light work, horn and radio does not work. UNCUT dash New wiring harness There is much more to the car than I can list. The car is ready to go and will make someone a very nice cruiser. I will be glad to answer any questions. My auctions do not usually run the full length of time so do not hesitate to call before it’s gone. I am ready to sell but only serious offers please. Call or text me at 404-725-4956 between the hours of 9am to 9pm EST. Email me anytime. Car is sold on a bill of sale and tag receipt. Ga. is one of a few non-title states for antique cars. They will not issue a title for a car this old. I have all the paperwork needed to obtain a title in your state. If you must, please research it yourself before making an offer.

0 0 1 338 1929 Rip Bang Pictures Inc. 16 4 2263 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Do not miss this rare opportunity to own a rust free California black plate 2-door Chevy sedan. With its cat’s eye tail lights and batwing trunk lid, this iconic Chevy is very coveted by collectors the world over. My good friend bought this car in 2008 and drove it home from California to Gallatin, TN where the car currently resides. I have looked at the car on a lift (see attached photos) and miraculously cannot find any rust on the car except for a small patch of surface rust under where the right rear muffler comes through. The floors, trunk, rocker panels and all other parts are completely rust free. Solid as I have ever seen. The body is also very straight with no need to repair any dents. I believe the car to have its original paint as there are a few spots where it has faded. A new repaint (or leave as original) might be in the new owner’s interest. The interior is also immaculate and all correct. Seats, door panels, carpeting, headliner are all perfect and correct material. The car starts and drives perfectly. Like I said, my friend drove it from California to Tennessee with absolutely no problems. It looks like new rubber gaskets are on the trunk and windows. In all my years of being around older cars I have rarely seen one in this good of condition in both the body and mechanical components. There are copies of titles of the previous owner dating back to 1983 and obviously he put very little miles on the car. The odometer reads 55,000 miles and it must be true due to the condition of the car. The front windshield does have some patchy spots and you might want to replace it. Also the emergency release brake lever is missing its handle but still functions properly. With no power steering you may also need to go to the gym to get your arm muscles in shape for turning. But once on the road and highway it is a pleasure to drive. If you have any questions you can call Gary at 301 908 9450. I will help arrange transportation to where you live and we can ship overseas. The car is also being offered for sale locally so the ebay auction may end early if it is sold before the car reaches its reserve. Whoever ends up with this car will be very pleased and have a fine 59 Chevy for many years to come. A car is only original once.We apologize for the low resolution quality of the photographs, they were taken with an iPhone. The car is outstanding in every way. Good luck bidding.

1957 Chevrolet 2 Door Bel Air Check out this 1957 Chevrolet 2 Door Bel Air. No other car represents American pride like the iconic 1957 Chevrolet. The car was frame off restored some years ago but still presents itself very nicely. I have set a reasonable But It Now price.
