Beatles lead singer Paul McCartney had two of these Morris Penny Cars commissioned for himself. One is at Cornish Goldsmiths in Cornwall, England, and the other is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in San Francisco.The pennies were placed on a 1963 Morris Mini Minor, an economy car manufactured primarily in Oxford, England from 1948 to 1971. More than 1 million Minis were produced in that timeframe.A woman in England assembled this penny car when her father, a professional panhandler, left her 4,000 coins he had collected and received. With a ’63 Morris Minor in hand, she recreated a promotional tool and icon from the late ‘60s. This was a hand-crafted penny car with years of “Spare some change?” going into the car. Collecting these coins is a feat that even numismatists would be proud of. The earliest coin we can find on this car is 1860, and the latest is 1969! Uncirculated coins from the 1860s can fetch upward of 6,000 British Pounds. The XJ-S replaced the E-type in September 1975 and was based on the XJ saloon. It had been developed as the XK-F, though it was very different in character from its predecessor. The new 400 cubic inch engine became standard and the definition of "442" was restated as 400 cubic inches, 4 barrel carburetor and 2 exhausts. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this handsome A-body 1965 Oldsmobile 442. The car decodes as a 1965 2-door Holiday Coupe, which was a 442 option back in 1965. From 1964 until 1968, the 442 name was applied as an option package and eventually became a model in its own right from 1968 until 1971. The 442 you see here is correct with its Target Red paint, red vinyl interior, big 442 V8, 4-barrel carburetor, dual exhaust and 2-speed automatic transmission.Finished in Target Red with a single black pinstripe accenting the sides, the exterior shows beautifully with only very minor imperfections to the paint. As mentioned, the Target Red paint is correct to the car. The body is laser straight and shows no signs of damage that we have found. The front and rear chrome bumpers are in great condition with a brilliant luster and shine. The stainless steel trim does show some pitting, due to age but it does show well. Inside, you’ll see that the interior is in great shape. The red vinyl upholstery is in great condition with no tears or holes present. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present a facelift to our inventory with this 1994 Jaguar XJS convertible.The Jaguar XJ-S (later the Jaguar XJS) was a luxury grand tourer produced by the British manufacturer Jaguar from 1975 to 1996. The XJ-S replaced the E-type in September 1975 and was based on the XJ saloon. It had been developed as the XK-F, though it was very different in character from its predecessor. Although it never had quite the same sporting image, the XJ-S was a competent grand tourer and more aerodynamic than the E-Type. The last XJS was produced on April 4, 1996.For the ‘90s XJSs, the rear side windows appeared enlarged, and the buttresses stayed, as designer Geoff Lawson argued that they were part of the car’s character. The car received a new 4-liter version of the AJ6. In 1992, a 4-liter convertible was added to the range. The V12’s capacity was enlarged to 6 liter in May 1993 (304 HP). At the same time, the car benefited from a revision to the rear brakes, they were now fitted with outboard rear disc brakes instead of the more complicated inboard items on previous models. With the introduction of the 6.0 liter V12, the transmission was also updated to a GM 4L80E with a fourth gear overdrive, while the automatic 4-liter models continued with the electronic ZF4HP24E transmission. A 2+2 convertible was also introduced, as was a customized insignia line. The car received more aerodynamic front and rear bumpers. The New York City Museum of Modern Art recognized the significance of the E-Type's design in 1996 by adding a blue roadster to its permanent design collection, one of only six automobiles to receive this distinction.The car you see here is an early production 1965 Jaguar XKE Flat Floor Roadster and it is very deserving of the “most beautiful car ever made” title! This is the true classic motorsport enthusiast’s car! Finished in dramatic code (32) correct Signal Red over an impeccable black interior, paint and body on this fantastic car shows extremely well with only minor imperfections visible upon extreme close inspection. Both the front and rear bumpers boast fresh chrome, fit nicely and compliment the body. The black soft convertible top is also in excellent condition and fits nicely. Car also comes with a newer black tonneau cover. The Triumph TR4A was built between 1965 and 1967 by the Triumph motor Company in the United Kingdom. The TR4A was an evolution of the TR4, updated with a new chassis. It was hoped the new, but more complex, independent ear suspension would address the buying public’s desire for more comfortable riding sports cars. This version has an “IRS” badge on the rear. It has been estimated that 75 percent of TR4A were built with IRS. In response to dealer requests, about 25 percent of TR4As were produced with a solid rear axle option (also called a live axle), similar to the earlier TR4. The TR4A was the first vehicle to offer an option for axle type. The new suspension eventually proved itself with the buying public and in racing, with three TR4A IRS models posting a team win and finishing 1st, 2nd and 3rd in class at the Sebring 12-hour race of 1966. Inside, the black leather bucket seats and rear cargo area and all look great with no major signs of wear visible. One of the greatest features of these Triumphs is the wood instrument panel, and this example is among the nicest we have ever seen. All gauges function as they should and present beautifully in their respective places in the dash. The door panels and dashboard are have also been recent reupholstered and present beautifully. Paint and body are exceptional with no visible evidence of repair or damage that we could find. This nicely appointed TR4A features strong running 2.1 Liter inline 4 cylinder engine mated to a superb 4-speed manual transmission with desirable overdrive. Overall mechanical condition is excellent on this fully restored and very well sorted classic English Roadster. The dark grey centered Panasport style 15? alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P600 tires create a very serious track look and even more road grip. This extremely good looking and well equipped roadster will delight even the most discerning early sports car collector or enthusiast. The car even comes with the rarely seen 2 position Survey top, however it has not been fitted to the car.
