The last of the big Buick convertibles, this 1970 Buick Electra offers all the right ingredients to make it a first-rate hobby car: big horsepower, lots of options, great colors, and just two owners from new. The fact that it\'s also very reasonably price only puts icing on an already delicious cake. Sold new in Dallas, Texas on April 22, 1970, this awesome Buick remained in the same family until 2011, when the original owner\'s widow sold it to the current owner. She obviously loved the car and over the years it has been extremely well maintained. The long, straight bodywork shows off a dramatic character line that was a Buick trademark for many years, and the look is both imposing and a bit sporting. The color is correct code 26 Stratomist Blue Iridescent, applied two years ago and showing well today. The bodywork underneath was clearly very nicely preserved and the doors fit well, the hood sits flush, and there are no signs that this car was ever rusty or abused. Plenty of chrome defined Buick\'s luxury models, and this convertible certainly qualifies, with a nicely integrated bumper/grille combination up front and a wide chrome bumper out back. The owners loved this car so much that a new front bumper emblem was custom made (repros don\'t exist) when the original was stolen. Aside from a reupholstered front bench seat, the interior of this big Buick is completely original. The tan upholstery is a nice change from the usual white you\'d find in convertibles of this vintage, and as a Buick, it\'s loaded up with features. Factory options include A/C, power windows, a tilt steering column, and a power front bench seat, with a few accessories like the leather steering wheel wrap and center console with cup holders just to make it a little more practical. There\'s a ton of stretch out room in back, making this the ultimate parade vehicle, but with a 455 under the hood, the driver gets his share of entertainment, too. The gauges cover only the basics, but everything\'s clustered in front of the driver so it\'s easy to find and use, including the factory AM/FM radio that still works like it should. The white power convertible top is simply too nice to be original, and includes a glass rear window and matching tan boot for when it\'s stowed. And like all great original cars, the trunk has no secrets and carries a full-sized spare with cover. Buick\'s 455 cubic inch V8 was a torque factory that generates effortless performance in the big Electra. Rebuilt in 1996, it doesn\'t look like a show piece but originality matters and in that regard it\'s quite good. You can still see Dante Red paint on the engine itself and the original air cleaner with \'455-4\' decals clinging to its surface. The TH400 3-speed automatic transmission was rebuilt in 2011, the A/C was completely overhauled and converted to R134a in 2014, and it carries a new fuel pump, sway bar bushings, tie rod ends, rear wheel bearings, and master cylinder, so it\'s ready to cruise. The dual exhaust system has a mellow sound that\'s entirely appropriate to a big luxury cruiser like this, and the undercarriage certainly looks the part of a car that comes from a warm, dry place. New 235/75/15 whitewall radials were installed in 2013. Documented with the original bill of sale, Protect-O-Plate, and restoration receipts, this is a fantastic full-sized convertible that needs no excuses. This exceptional 1925 Model T roadster pickup offers a spectacular restoration the likes of which you just don't see all that often. If you want a super nice Model T that's ready to enjoy, this is a fantastic choice. If you're a truck collector, and I know there are plenty of you out there, you need a T in your collection. With a bright color scheme, it's not quite the way Henry built it back in 1925, but the bright yellow finish is exceptionally well done and shows very little use since it was finished. The traditional black fenders look right, offering a bit of contrast that adds to the rugged look. The familiar grille plus the upright cab all date the truck and make it the most identifiable hauler of all time, and given the values of Model Ts, it's shocking to see one this well restored. The bed is freshly finished with lovely oak planks and matching stake sides, and it's just as sturdy and ready to work as it was nearly a century ago. Kind of cool to think that commercial vehicles also were things of beauty, isn't it? There's no chrome, of course, but the functional side-mounted tire adds some style and it's got two taillights out back for safety. The interior is surprisingly classy for a blue-collar hauler, with pleated seat cushions and a nicely finished dashboard. The same Model T controls that you got on the passenger cars were used here, too, including a hand throttle, and a set of foot pedals for the 2-speed planetary transmission. It's easy to operate once you see how it works and if you've got the time, the dependable Model T will get you anywhere you need to go as long as there's gas in the under-seat tank. A hard maple steering wheel is big and beefy and offers plenty of leverage for the steering, even fully loaded. Instrumentation includes an ammeter that monitors the generator's output and the ignition switch, plus an accessory Stewart speedometer. A rubber mat dresses it up a bit, as does the black canvas convertible top, which is beautifully fitted. The engine is the same 4-cylinder 20-horsepower powerplant that was under the hood of every Model T, but with clever gearing, it moves the truck easily, loaded or empty. Speed isn't the point, reliability is, and this ancient machine will still out-last just about anything made today on the job site. It's rebuilt and runs great thanks to a few upgrades, including a distributor for the ignition system and all new wiring. The updraft carburetor hangs under the cast iron exhaust manifold and it fires with a familiar sound that forms the background soundtrack for every old movie ever made. The basic chassis is in great shape, and wears bright red paint, a nice contrast to the red bodywork, and while it's not totally authentic, nobody will argue with how it looks. Restored wire wheels with bright orange paint sport recent 21-inch blackwall tires for a proper look. A wonderful vintage truck that always attracts a lot of attention and will be a lot of fun for parades and shows. We do not always have titles on hand for vehicles that are placed for sale, titles may be in transit from banks, from other dealerships, from the state, and a host of other reasons for normal processing delays in title paperwork. It's had just three owners, with the second owner buying it from the first in 1990. But the really interesting thing is that the current owner pursued the truck for 38 years, but the second owner (who was the original owner's nephew) would never sell him the truck. To add to the story the truck was parked in 1977 on blocks and wasn't driven for 13 years! Sort of confusing, but cool right? You don't see many six-cylinder C10s restored to this level (heck, you don't see many, period) and we love the honesty of this clean old truck. Hunter Green with a white top is a traditional look that probably put in years of work on farms across the country, but we're guessing nothing rolling down country roads in 1970 ever looked this good. Of course, the body was nicely preserved after sitting in dry storage for all those years yet there was still a sizeable investment in the final finish. A regular cab/short bed pickup is an unusual find regardless of the powerplant, and while there are a few bumps and bruises in the bed itself, that only proves that it doesn't mind working hard and there's a heavy-duty rubber mat to help keep it protected. A chrome front bumper and a stainless grill dress the old girl up just fine and the big CHEVROLET letters out back are a traditional look that still works well. The interior was likewise restored with a fresh green vinyl seat cover on the bench seat, new black carpets, and some fresh paint. Aside from the aftermarket floor mats, it's quite stock, right down to the 3-on-the-tree shifter and GM/Delco AM radio in the dash (sadly, not functional). The gauges are still some of the prettiest ever put in a motor vehicle of any type and they show bright, clear markings and clean lenses that strongly suggests someone restored them. The 70,116 miles showing on the odometer are authentic. If you want to see how people went to work in 1970, you need to do nothing more than climb inside this cool old pickup. Now about that engine. When the original 250 cubic inch inline-6 gave up the ghost in 1977, the original owner went down to the dealership where he bought the truck, Burckalter Chevrolet in Throckmorton, TX, and purchased a brand new 250 cubic inch replacement engine. He filled it with oil and carefully stored it with the rest of the truck until 1990. At that time, the truck was restored and the replacement engine was finally installed and remarkably, it fired right up! As long as they had it apart, they detailed the engine bay, giving the engine a coat of fresh Chevy Orange paint, a correct air cleaner, and all new ancillaries like plugs, wires, hoses, and other parts. As a result, it's very clean under the hood and we'll wager that you haven't seen many six-cylinder Chevy pickups restored this nicely. The three-speed manual transmission shifts easily and the undercarriage, while mostly original, remains in outstanding condition. There's a single exhaust with a suitably grumbly six-cylinder sound and even though it has both manual steering and manual brakes, it remains easy to handle around town. Classic white-painted steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps are really the only proper choice on a truck like this, and they're fitted with 225/75/15 whitewall radials. A clean old truck with an awesome story and a great price. If you prefer authenticity to flash, then this handsome C10 has a great deal to offer. In case you missed, yes we said it was a one owner car. The car was actually purchased new right here in Fort Worth, TX! An evolution of the TR4/TR5 body, the TR6 still manages to have a unique look all its own, thanks to a redesigned grille and headlights, as well as a squared-off rear end that gave it an aggressive, almost muscle car appearance. It manages to look like a bigger car than it actually is, which is undoubtedly part of the reason for its sales success in the US. Shockingly, this car appears to be wearing 100% original paint save for the blacked-out tail panel, which was repainted more than 20 years ago. The body panels fit well and don't show any signs of the dreaded British tin worm and after a life in Texas, that shouldn't be a surprise. The bumpers are the later-style with the big rubber overriders, but they look right on the TR6 and the luggage rack almost makes it practical. In short, this is a car you will be proud to drive and show, and it's an absolute blast on the open road. This one also comes with a matching hardtop as well, a rare find for the TR6. Inside, there's no mistaking that the British crafted the black vinyl interior. Those are actually NOS seat covers, not reproductions, so they fit right and look exactly how the factory would have done it and brown is a nice contrast to the usual black or tan found in these cars. With a real wood dashboard full of original Smiths gauges, it definitely has an Old World feel, and the dash has been replaced so once again, you won't have to worry about deterioration due to age. The three-spoke steering wheel begs for a pair of string-back driving gloves and you'll find that the shifter is a delight to row through the gears. That may very well be the original top, as it carries the correct reflective strips, and the car includes a factory hardtop, too. Mechanically, it's powered by a burly 2.5-liter inline-six, which provides plenty of power for the featherweight car. Torque is impressive, especially down low, and it's obvious that the car was tuned with American enthusiasts in mind. It was rebuilt in the late 1980s, perhaps 30,000 miles ago, so it's still robust and ready to enjoy. Thanks to a pair of side-draft carburetors and a dual exhaust system, it makes wonderful roadster sounds, and you'll be downshifting just for the sheer joy of listening to the engine. The engine bay is tidy, but not restored, so you won't hesitate to hit the road on the next sunny summer day. A 4-speed manual transmission is the perfect dance partner, with a light clutch and a direct feel to the shifter. The all-independent suspension is surprisingly supple on the road, making this a car that will tour long distances easily and still entertain you on a curving mountain road. Adding to the car's aggressive appearance are original 15-inch wheels wearing correct redline tires. With great performance, wonderful character, and unique looks, this TR6 has all the right ingredients for a fun summer driver.
