There are less than 96,000 original miles on the odometer. * Color: White Diamond * Full coverage, hand-stitched, Beechwood Leather seats, (still soft, no tears, some wear on driver's seat and steering wheel) * Genuine burled elm wood interior trim (the trim enhances the side doors. Most of it has noticeable cracks in the otherwise high-gloss, transparent lacquer coating. None is pealing or loose, but it might be advisable to refinish professionally. * Full functional 12-way power front bucket seats, including functional compressed air lumbar supports * Touring suspension, styled 15" aluminum wheels (need professional buffing) * Body side moldings have been replaced with best-match after market, painted to match * 4.5 Liter V8 DFI engine with 4-speed auto overdrive * Electronic climate control, AC has been converted from Freon, blows cold * Delco Bose AM/FM sound system with audio cassette (one channel needs some work) * Car comes with its original brochure, gold key, Gold Key audio cassette with unbroken plastic seal, Delco Bose audio demonstration and head cleaning cassette, third party product literature, original dealer invoice, original window sticker (never applied), With the exception of some very small paint damages, a tiny ding here and there (easily removed by a Dent Doctor), and typical weathering, the bodywork is excellent. The rear trunk lid had to be repainted due to an unusual case of paint crazing that appeared only on the trunk lid. Only one body repair in lifetime, due to a scraped driver-front fender. The first 1988 STS's were custom built in June 1988 by Cars and Concepts and announced at the 1988 Detroit Grand Prix. Starting from an excellent condition driver with a recently rebuilt drivetrain, the car received a very nice restoration and has less than 3000 miles since completion. All the parts on the car are ether new, rebuilt or restored to very high standards of quality. All the cars surfaces are extremely clean and free of dirt, dust and grime. This special TR-6 embodies all of the most desired features, while still maintaining the correct profile and appearance. It has been in a continuing state of restoration, upgrades and refinements since its first stage of its restoration in 2004 by its previous enthusiast owners. On 10-20-2015 it received its final crowning touch, a beautifully executed show quality, PPG, base coat, clear coat, paint job, performed by the Action Collison Center in Little Elm, TX. The high quality paint job is flawless, providing a mirror like reflections at every angle. The paints surface quality also extends to the door jams, trunk, engine compartment and underside of the car. I just installed a pair of new TR-6 Union Jack stickers on the rear. I also added a new pair of small enamel Union Jacks and new metal Leyland emblems on the front fenders. I also have a reproduction 1974 emissions engine sticker that goes on the drivers side outer wheel well that needs to be installed. I also have a set of like new Plexiglas wind deflector wings that clip to the windshield pillars, not seen in photos in the photos that come with the car. The interior is like new and has it just received a custom made, Burled Ash dash panel that was stained to match the cars yellow paint. The cars interior is well insulated, it has Dyno-Mat on the floor, tunnel and firewall, with factory insulation on top. The TR-6's wood, leather, vinyl, cloth, carpet, chrome, steel, aluminum, glass, plastic, rubber and painted finishes are all near flawless and look new. The interior dash pads are perfect with no cracks, nice black seats, black door cards, black carpet, black rubber Triumph logo trunk mat, black convertible top, black half Tonneau cover, quality custom car cover is also included and are all are in like new condition. The Triumphs drivetrain is all numbers matching and original to the car and was recently rebuilt. The transmission shifts flawlessly, giving you perfect shifts every time. The engine has a very nice aftermarket air cleaners and polished aluminum finned valve cover. It also has a modern spin off oil filter conversion that uses the most common Chevy filter available. The cars smog ridden, Zenith carburetors / smog pump, were removed and replaced with a rebuilt pre-emissions SU HS6 carburetors, which are more efferent and reliable than the originals. The TR-6 is also running the Protronics, electronic ignition system, hidden in the original distributor. I just replaced the plugs wires, spark plugs, cap and rotor. The car received a new Performance Free-Flow Exhaust System by Monza with beautiful chrome tips that has a intoxicating, baritone sound. The engines compartment has a nice show quality appearance with all new the and restored parts as you can see in the photos. I just changed the oil and filter and the car has no oil leaks, 65+ pounds of oil presser. The 2.5 liter Six cylinder engine, will start on the first turn and and runs as good as it looks! The TR6 IRS system makes the car handle like it is on rails. The cars steering, suspension shocks, brakes, all feels great and perform well in all conditions, like fast corners and extreme and highway speeds. When driving briskly you get very positive feed back to the steering wheel with no unwanted vibrations. The front disk brakes stop the car fast and straight with good control in emergency braking until controlled lockup. The Triumph suspension sports new rubber bushings, new Suplex heavy duty front springs, new front Spax shocks and new Koni's shocks in the rear. This TR also has new front rotors, new brake master cylinder, new front brake slave cylinders and new brake pads and brake lines on all 4 wheels. The TR6 has a good jack, small tool kit, nice unused Goodyear Red Line spare tire and new Bridgestone 205-65-15 Petenza tires on new Mini-Lite aluminum wheels. All the cars electrical, gauges, lights, switches, heater fan, wipers, horn, turn signals, flashers are in good working order, it will pass a safety inspection.
