With its cat’s eye tail lights and batwing trunk lid, this iconic Chevy is very coveted by collectors the world over. My good friend bought this car in 2008 and drove it home from California to Gallatin, TN where the car currently resides. I have looked at the car on a lift (see attached photos) and miraculously cannot find any rust on the car except for a small patch of surface rust under where the right rear muffler comes through. The floors, trunk, rocker panels and all other parts are completely rust free. Solid as I have ever seen. The body is also very straight with no need to repair any dents. I believe the car to have its original paint as there are a few spots where it has faded. A new repaint (or leave as original) might be in the new owner’s interest. The interior is also immaculate and all correct. Seats, door panels, carpeting, headliner are all perfect and correct material. The car starts and drives perfectly. Like I said, my friend drove it from California to Tennessee with absolutely no problems. It looks like new rubber gaskets are on the trunk and windows. In all my years of being around older cars I have rarely seen one in this good of condition in both the body and mechanical components. There are copies of titles of the previous owner dating back to 1983 and obviously he put very little miles on the car. The odometer reads 55,000 miles and it must be true due to the condition of the car. The front windshield does have some patchy spots and you might want to replace it. Also the emergency release brake lever is missing its handle but still functions properly. With no power steering you may also need to go to the gym to get your arm muscles in shape for turning.
