this is a 1996 BMW 750il engine very smooth driving. too smooth . you have no idea youre on the autobaun. but thats a german engineered car for you. sports performance. rims included. if you live in california i can throw on shipping at $150 or $800 to the east coast. thats what i can offer. 5.4 liter v12 . not your average 7 series. the difference between the 740il and the 750il is the engine. the 740 has a 4.4l v8 that has a number of problems with the cooling system and other common problems. the 750 has the much sought after 5.4l v12 that is the pride of BMW. the 5.4l v12 is the second generation v12 is a combination of 2 inline 6 engines that BMW IS FAMOUS FOR. THE ENGINE HAS TWO DIFFERENT air intakes, 2 distributors 2 different computers that control the engine and 2 fuel delivery systems. The base price in 2001 was $92,100 for the 750il. The considerably rarer 5.4 L V12 ws BMW'S FLAGSHIP vehicle, with a 5.4 L (5,379 cc (328 cu. in.) (320 hp AT 000rpm and 360lb ft AT 3900rpm) engine, also shared by the Rolls Royce Silver Seraph. This car is black outside and black leather interior. it has the full leather package (seats, dashboard, and door panels) . it has heated seats front and rear. it has power seats front and rear, with full lumbar support in the front . Other features included an automatic climate control system with seperate controls for the driver and passenger, a 3-position memory system for the driver's seat, adjustable safety-belt height , steering wheel and outside mirrors. I have driven this car long distances and it is like riding a lazy boy. it has the original BMW car phone. It has every option available on the car at the time. When you back up the passenger side mirror tilts down so you can see the ground behind to your tires. When going down hill if you press the break quickly the transmission down shigts so the engine holds the car back to save your breaks and give you better gas mileage. One of the best options it has is sport suspension, when you press the button before you start the car it stiffens the suspension !!! Giving you a sporty ride as appose a luxury car ride. The car has newer high performance speed rated all season tires.The car has a very soothe ride from 5mph to 125mph (which is the fastest I have taken it to but my friend took it to +160!!) the cars computer stops it at 154mph but i believe its taken off that restriction but dont quote me. This car has alot of power and kept up with a 2014 Mustang and a 2013 Dodge Charger R/T that my brothers rented when they were in town a month ago despite being more than almost 2,000lbs heavier!! My best friend is a mechanic certified BMW and i can on his behalf offer you a discounted rate for labor if you live in the San Diego vicinity or want to come this way. This is the 2nd year of the e38 body style and the last year of the OBD2 CODE READER I BELIIEVE. This car comes with traction control (computer control not allowing you to peal out allowing giving you more control on dirt and snow) that you can turn off with the push of a button. This car is the updated 2nd generation version (2007.5 Quattroporte), meaning it Has the desirable and reliable true automatic transmission. It does NOT have the problematic clunky duo-select version, which was in the first generation quattroportes. Do your homework on this issue, don't get caught with the much cheaper Duo-select version. I cant stress this point enough, the difference between first and second generation gearboxes is night and day. Loaded with options, Heated seats, Parking sensors, Navigation, Bose premium sound.......And the list goes on. Fully serviced and ready to go, just got new tires this summer.
