I have a 2001 Tdi Jetta for sale. This car is originally from Mississippi and has never seen an Indiana winter, therefore it doesn't even have a hint of rust. I have owned several of these cars over the years and this one is really solid. The engine is a stock 2001 ALH turbo diesel that will get 50mpg on the highway and 40+ in town driving. As far as I'm concerned, this is one of the most durable and efficient engines that's ever been put in a car. Period. I have a ton of money in parts. There are a couple of things that could stand to be done, but it is tight and roadworthy and would easily get you anywhere in the country without a problem. This car was originally an automatic with the lethargic and failure-prone 01M transmission. Reverse went out so I converted it to an 02j-egr code 5-speed. The trans was out of an 80k mile wreck, and most of the rest of the conversion parts are new. New: Sachs g60/vr6 SMF conversion clutch axles Control arm bushings Ball joints Sway bar links Sway bar bushings Inner fender liners Rear shocks, mounts, and stops Custom headlights Shifter boot Seat covers Fresh service including ALL fluids and filters. That's oil, gear oil, coolant, power steering fluid, brake fluid, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, pollen filter... You get the idea. Brakes are good A/C blows cold enough to keep your Frosty frosty I installed a 2004 center cup holder console and deleted the silly little armrest. The flaws: Windshield is cracked Headliner is sagging Front seat bottoms seams have separated Paint is faded and clear coat is a little rough on the hood, roof and mirrors from the Mississippi sun. Minor dings and scuffs. Battery isn't as strong as it should be. Could use front struts, but not bad as-is I may be slightly negotiable on the money, and I suppose I'd take something interesting on trade, but don't low ball me or beat me up. I don't need to sell it, but I have two TDI's and I don't need them both. Clean Indiana title in my name. If I have not removed this ad, then it's still for sale.
