There were a few different body styles produced including 2 and 4 door sedans, 2 and 4 door coupes, convertibles, and 2 and 4 door station wagons. The \"Tri-Five\" station wagons have become very popular over the years for collectors and enthusiast alike, especially ones restored to the level as this one has.This awesome \'56 210 Handyman Wagon underwent an extensive 5 year restoration that was built to keep the classic styling yet add new technology for reliability and performance. Everything on this car was either replaced, refinished, or upgraded and the workmanship is unremarkable. As many original parts were used as possible including all the stainless trim and chrome parts. This 1956 Chevrolet 210 Handyman Wagon is powered by its Fuel Injected 5.3L Vortec V8 engine, backed by a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission, running to a single-pull rear end with 3.70 gears. The 5.3L V8 has a LS1 intake plenum added along with Sanderson Headers running out to a dual stainless steel exhaust system that sounds absolutely amazing. I cannot stress enough how clean, rust free, and dry this car is. This car has been driven responsibly and in no way has it been driven hard or abused! Please read below to appreciate all of the work I have completed on this car.Engine: Original numbers matching L78 400ci rebuilt 800 miles ago. This engine was professionally rebuilt .030 over by local racing legend and engine builder Erick \"Rick\" Johnson of Custom Auto Machine located in Crete, IL. He has Pontiac in his blood and is an extremely talented machinist. Just to show you how trusted he is, Scott Tiemann of Supercar Specialties personally recommended him to me. I encourage you to research them both, you will be very satisfied. I have all receipts and build specs including a balance card for the rotating assembly. It has Keith Black KB133-030 pistons and a Melling CL-MTP-1 camshaft. It runs very strong and will destroy any stock 400ci of this era, but is mild enough to enjoy in all driving conditions. It has the original numbers matching Quadrajet which was recently rebuilt by Cliff Ruggles of Cliff\'s Performance (The top name in Quadrajets). I also added a set of factory reproduction RAM air exhaust manifolds from Ram Air Restorations. They breathe through a 2 \" Pypes stainless steel true dual exhaust with X-pipe and street pro mufflers. I have only run Brad Penn racing oil with the necessary zinc/phosphorus additives for the flat tappet cam. Also, I replaced the radiator this past fall. Transmission/Rear-end:Original numbers matching TH350 3 speed transmission professionally rebuilt 1,500 miles ago that shifts firm and flawlessly. Original 8.5\" 10-bolt safe-t-track posi rear end with 2.56:1 gear ratio.Suspension/undercarriage:I personally detailed and restored the entire undercarriage and suspension. The original red oxide primer is clean, rust free, and show ready! New ball joints and control arm bushings, new tie rods, new sway bar bushings and end links, new coil springs, new shocks, new leaf springs and shackles, new universal joints, new brake pads, shoes and rotors, new gas tank and pick-up screen. All detailed in correct coatings and Extremely Clean!Interior:All original interior except for correct replacement carpet from classic industries. Dash pad is perfect. Alpine flip down head unit with Alpine type R 6x9\'s. Very loud, high quality audio. Rear speakers are disguised as original thanks to a replacement rear seat shelf from classic industries. I have the original factory cassette player that can easily go back into the dash if desired. Seats are original and look great except the driver seat shows typical wear for its age. All gauges work except for the clock which is very common with these cars. Exterior:Paint is original water based paint from the Van Nuys plant and shows well for being 35 years old. It is not perfect but is very respectable. Fisher T-Tops in great condition. Originally ordered as \"bird-delete\" so there is no hood bird on this car. The hood scoop has been repainted and an incorrect 1975 \"400\" decal was added by previous owner. The front bumper has several spots of touch-up paint and the rear bumper is fading. You can easily enjoy it the way it is, or opt to have a repaint on the 100% rust free body. I realize there are several claims out there of being \"rust free\", but I assure you that this car is. The door jams, trunk, quarters, rockers, etc. ALL RUST FREE and original. If you chose to have this car painted, it would be near concourse in its restoration. Everything else has been done. Rims were professionally repainted a few years ago to match build-sheet and tires have 90% tread left on them. Conclusion:This is a gorgeous, well taken care of 1978 Trans Am. It has been fully documented from its build date through all of its owners. I have hundreds of pictures and receipts documenting all work on this car and I am glad to email photos upon request. There are plenty of second generation Trans Ams on the market, but very few of them are documented and cared for as well as this one. I scan Ebay and other sites a few times a week and there is a lot of pieced-together junk and misconceptions out there. I have two (2) Triumph TR3's for sale. One is a 1959 and the other is a 1960. Both have been stored in a garage here in Phoenix Arizona for the past 30+years. They have no rust and are mostly complete but needing restoration. Both cars were built in late 1959. This listing is for the Red 1959 TR3 and this car wan built in October of 1959. The car was put away in storage in the 1980's and was running when it was parked. It just sat in the garage and the dust started settling on it. The paint is actually pretty nice and with some mechanical resurrection, an interior kit, and some new tires, the car could be made into a nice driver/ weekend show quality car. This car has the wire wheels with the spare tire included. We have just removed the carbs and are having them gone through and we will put them back on this week when we get them back. We have also remove the fuel tank and have had it cleaned out and will reinstall that as well. We will continue to do some little things to hopefully get the car back up and running but as of this time and for this listing - the car is being sold not running and non operational. The car is very solid and has no visible rust other than some surface type oxidation on the floorboards. The car has the convertible top frame and seat frames. We also have the side curtains for the top however - all the soft parts will need to be redone and gone through. The car was owned and driven by a friends mother and both cars were her pride and joy. The other car is titled as a 1960 even though it was also built in late 1959 and is currently a running car that can be driven down the street. It has newer tires and the fuel system has been cleaned out and it fires right up. It needs an interior kit and a paint job but the car has no rust or visual damage with the exception of some blemishes and storage wear to the paint. The nice part about these cars are that that have spent their whole lives in the dry desert and the bodies are free from rust. As most people know - fixing rust and to repair it correctly is a very expensive part of the restoration. These are both extremely easy restorations for people who like to do the work themselves and they can be made to both be drivers fairly easily. The cars are located here in Gilbert Arizona and the clean clear titles are in my possession. I am not looking for scammers or people to waste my time.
