Freshly finished, this street/strip Nova proves that sometimes you really can have your cake and eat it too. I suppose that if you're going to build a machine like this, there's no need to add flashy paint. Instead, they concentrated on getting the body straight and painted it Titanium Gray, a low-key color that seems to have an implied threat built right in. The Nova is always a great choice for a brute-force experiment like this, with a sturdy body structure, plenty of room under the hood, and a relatively light curb weight, and the 2-door post sedan is the right choice for channeling big horsepower. Fit and finish are above average, particularly for a car with this much performance, and the paint is so fresh that you can almost smell it. A professional cut and buff would take it to the next level, but the way it sits, especially with that big scoop on the hood, it has a very potent look. You'll also note that much of the trim was shaved, including the door handles, and a blacked-out grille was installed for a hardcore look. Chrome bumpers look right and add the perfect finishing touch to the all-business bodywork. Race cars often feature bare-bones interiors in the interest of saving weight, but the fully finished passenger compartment of this Nova is simply impressive. New black upholstery was wrapped around a custom split front bench and the original rear seat, which, remarkably is still intact. The front seat offers a bit more lateral support as well as better access to the Hurst 4-speed shifter in the center. New white-faced Auto Meter gauges fit in the original instrument panel, along with a Monster Tach and shift light mounted up high. A blacked-out steering wheel matches the overall vibe of the car, and you'll have to forgive this shockingly fast machine for not having a heater or a radio, because they're just not part of the program when you're talking about something this fast. Everything is beautifully finished and brand new, and as I said, the level of finish is quite impressive. Even the trunk is neatly trimmed in matching black carpet, which frames a custom fuel cell and remote-mounted battery. The 468 cubic inch big block sits proudly in the Nova's beautifully finished engine bay. With a big Holley double-pumper up top, high-rise intake, and blueprinted aluminum heads, and 11:1 compression, it's no secret where the horsepower is coming from. With just test and tune miles on the whole setup, it's fairly docile for having 720 horsepower on tap, and thanks to the professional build, it's got the supporting hardware to make it reliable. There's a big radiator up front, a new alternator, and a set of long-tube headers feeding Flowmaster mufflers with turndowns. The suspension was fully rebuilt and carries lots of fresh hardware, the 12-bolt rear has 3.73s and Moser axles inside, and the 4-speed is fed by a heavy-duty clutch. Right now it wears 215/70/15 front and 275/60/15 rear street radials, but something more sticky will make this car practically invincible. Sure, there's always more in the car than a driver can get out of it, but with this Nova, astounding performance is quite accessible no matter who you are, and the exceptional finish quality makes it a pleasure to drive when you're not running hard. Styling was a high-water mark for the 1971 A-bodies and many find them to be the most attractive of all. With a recent restoration that looks and drives extremely well, this El Camino belongs at the top of your shopping list if you're looking for inexpensive, practical fun. Looking extremely handsome in basic black with bright red SS stripes, this El Camino was repainted not too long ago and it's holding up very well. Thanks to limited use and great care by a hobbyist, its working days are probably over, so shining up the paint on a Saturday afternoon is routine. Panel gaps are pretty good considering that this is half truck, and the cowl induction hood gives it an aggressive look. Red SS stripes were added, along with appropriate SS badges in all the correct locations, completing the transformation. All the chrome and stainless, including the trim around the pickup bed, is in very good condition with few signs of hard labor behind it. A blacked-out SS grille up front looks correct and is in excellent condition. And just in case you do have a few errands to run, the bed was coated with a spray-in bed liner that looks great and really cleans things up in the cargo bay. The black interior is as nice as the body, with a pair of late-model buckets and plenty of legroom up front. Accurate door panels and new black carpets and headliner were installed at the same time and give the interior a sporty vibe; from behind the wheel, you can't tell it's not a Chevelle. The dash is original, with functional gauges and a beautiful dash pad, and in the spirit of performance, there's a column-mounted tach and auxiliary gauges underneath, just ahead of the 4-speed Hurst shifter with cue ball knob. It's also got ice cold Vintage Air A/C, a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo system, and a small console between the seats so it's great for long highway trips. The steering wheel is a handsome wood-rimmed piece that fits well in the vintage passenger compartment, giving it an upscale look. The engine is a stout 396 cubic inch V8, fully dressed for duty in the El Camino. With chrome valve covers, factory open-element air cleaner, and original style exhaust manifolds, it could easily pass for an OEM installation. However, under the air cleaner lives an Edelbrock 454 Performance Package that includes an upgraded cam and intake manifold, all fed by an MSD fuel injection system. A full 3-inch X-pipe exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers gives it a fantastic big block bark, and the slick-shifting Richmond 4-speed doesn't mind the occasional hard shift in the heat of combat. A heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end doesn't mind the horsepower one bit and the brakes were recently overhauled and new shocks were fitted at all four corners. It rolls on a set of handsome 15-inch Rally wheels wearing 235/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials. Look at the photos again, then the price. This is a clean, solid El Camino with big block power and a great paint job. For a fun, big block muscle car with enough practicality to work for a living, you could hardly do better than this great-looking '71 El Camino. Look past the price, which is still only a fraction of the build cost, and realize that you just won't get 720 horsepower, show-quality bodywork, and a fully engineered drivetrain all in one package for less than this. Add in the fact that it's downright gorgeous to look at, and you have a potential show winner that's ready to start taking home some really big trophies and put an equally large grin on your face. We don't like to call any car perfect around here, because no car is perfect, but this awesome Chevelle is awfully close. Thousands and thousands of dollars were poured into the sleek Chevelle to give it a classic look with a modern twist, and the end result looks spectacular. They wisely left the factory sheetmetal alone and simply focused on getting it laser-straight. Once that part was handled, they bolted it back together and made sure the gaps were exacting and the panels fit flush. There's a very subtle cowl-induction hood that practically vanishes against the silver paint, and if you look closely, you'll note that ghost stripes were added in the factory pattern. It was all buffed and polished to an impossible shine that still looks wet. Proper SS badges were added, a blacked-out grille installed up front, and bright chrome and stainless pieces sparkle against the silver paint. There's just no part of this car that wasn't carefully rendered, polished, and installed. The interior is a study in contrasts, and while it has a bench seat, there's nothing on this car that wasn't done for a reason. To keep the industrial-strength look and no-nonsense performance attitude, they simple used what was already there, restored it so show standards, and put it back together with some additional performance gear. The dash is full of Auto Meter gauges and the shifter shows five gears instead of the usual four, but otherwise it's fairly stock. Beautifully restored door panels (complete with factory power windows!) work with fresh carpets and a restored dash pad to give it a pretty authentic feel. There's no radio and perhaps there never was, but the A/C system is working as intended thanks to modern hardware behind the scenes. The trunk is beautifully finished and includes a professional-grade battery box and cut-off switch for safety. OK, OK, let's talk about that engine. It's a GM ZZ572R big block with a rating of 720 horsepower, and if that doesn't get your blood pumping, nothing will. It's an easy fit in the Chevelle's engine bay and it's surrounded with the best components possible. Aluminum heads, a high-rise intake with a giant Demon carburetor, 12.5:1 compression, and a bad attitude take this car beyond nasty. A serpentine belt setup handles the accessory drive and the giant aluminum radiator is cooled by electric fans so it doesn't get cranky, even in traffic. Long-tube headers feed a custom 3-inch exhaust system that sounds spectacular, even at idle. A Richmond 5-speed Super Street w/ Overdrive manual gearbox feeds a 12-bolt rear with 3.31s inside on a Posi, so it's happy on the highway just loafing along and with all that torque you don't need a lot of gear to get it moving. Hotchkiss suspension components, Baer 4-wheel discs, Bilstein shocks, and other components read like a who's-who of high performance, and the stance is just perfect. Custom Budnik aluminum wheels give it a high-tech edge and carry 245/45/17 front and 275/40/18 rear redline radials for a very trick retro look. There's so much more to this car that we can't possibly cover it all here. If you can afford it, this is a no-disappointments dream car that takes no prisoners. THANK YOU. 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Custom -- $43,900.00Introduction Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro the owner of MS CLASSIC CARS,LLC. You might recognize my name or my business name from beautiful classic cars and trucks I’ve listed for sale nationally. I’ve got over 15 years of classic car and truck experience. I’d like to put that experience to work for you. Over the years I’ve featured many classic cars and trucks at multiple different auctions across the United States. I consign multiple classic cars and trucks at all four of the Barrett Jackson auto auctions every year. I’m considered one of the top consignors at Barrett Jackson. I’ve had many classic cars and trucks sell in the top 25 highest sale priced vehicles for each event. They’ve also offered some of my cars as the “Marc Schiliro Collection”. I was fortunate to have Speed TV at my new facility for an interview for Barrett Jackson that aired during the Barrett Jackson auto auction in Palm Beach 2012. I’m a regular consignor at the Mecum auctions as well. I also have had many cars that have been featured in multiple magazines and multiple websites. I specialize in beautiful classic cars and trucks that have what I call “The Pop Factor”. I purchase classic cars and trucks that are finished, I redesign other people’s restorations and have also coordinated restorations from start to finish. I’m currently not doing full restorations as it takes too much time and money. I love what I do and I’m extremely passionate about it! Two years ago I opened a beautiful new facility located in Seekonk, MA. MS CLASSIC CARS is open to the public on Saturdays. We offer about 25 classic cars and trucks for sale. We also offer complete automotive detailing. Our facility is very neat and organized. When you call you deal directly with me. I appreciate the opportunity. We except all trades. If you’d like to be added to our VIP EMAIL BLAST that gets sent to thousands of people when we get a new addition please visit my website and sign up. Please also like us on Facebook for updates. The power of networking is amazing! Market I've been collecting classic cars and trucks for over fifteen years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only at the auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially the classics! I've learned it's not just the United States; it’s the entire world. Barrett Jackson stated, "Foreigners can sometimes represent 25% of the registered bidders at one of our auctions." At the Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ 2011 they stated, "There was a registered bidder from every state in the USA.” I've also learned that no matter the gender or age, all different people appreciate this hobby. Another example would be the Barrett Jackson auto auctions; not only do millions of people watch it live on the Speed Channel but hundreds of thousands of people attend these auctions. Every year the attendance of visitors at the event and number of viewers on T.V. increase. Over the years I've noticed that the extremely detailed classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Currently the overall market is on the raise once again. Certain classic cars are on the rise and others are on the decline. Typically, the classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people don't own. In other words, there are classic cars that haven't saturated the market. The cars that are at every car show and auction and page on the Internet for sale are the ones that aren't changing in value or are slowly on the decline. Of course, if the car is spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. It's all about supply and demand, not a good or bad economy. Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character. “I’m putting my money where my mouth is” I’m just a 38 year old blue collar guy who was working full time selling new and used Mercedes Benz. I was selling my classic cars and trucks part time. Although I had my used car dealers license I didn’t have a facility that was open to the public. Overall things were going just fine. However, my dream was to open my own classic car and truck dealership. I decided to give up my full time job with health insurance and a 401K to open a new classic and truck dealership. I had to invest a ton of money to make that happen and now have a lot more overhead. Do you think I would’ve done all that if I didn’t think the classic car and truck market wasn’t going to remain strong? I consign anywhere from three to eight cars at each Barrett Jackson auto auction at no reserve because I know there’s always going to be bidders for classic cars and trucks. Description1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Custom THIS IS ONE BEAUTIFUL AND WELL BUILT CLASSIC CAR THAT RUNS AND DRIVES AMAZING! 589HP. YES THIS BEAST WAS DYNO TESTED AT 589HP! THIS CAR DRIVES DOWN THE ROAD BEAUTIFULLY! This car was built in Fremont, CA as a real SS 396 as both the VIN number and trim tag indicates! It was originally painted rare Grecian Green and had black bucket seats as the trim tag also indicates! This car has been completely restored from top to bottom very low mileage since! From what I’ve gathered and researched it retains all or mostly all of the original sheet metal. The body is straight and the gaps are tight. The hood, doors and trunk open and close as tight as a bank vault! The exterior was painted in its original rare Grecian Green color. This color is beautiful and gets a lot of compliments. The paint is very nice and worthy of calling it show quality! Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced such as the glass, stainless trim, bumpers, lights, emblems, etc! The car is wrapped in new American 15” Torque Thrust wheels with 225/70/15 Copper Cobra front tires and 275/60/15 Nitto Extreme Drag rear tires. This car has a mean stance! The black interior is beautiful and in great overall condition. This car originally came with a black interior with bucket seats when it left the factory! Everything in the interior has been restored or replaced including such items as the dash, seat covers, door panels, carpet, headliner, etc. It has very tasteful black and silver Autometer Gauges with white LED background lights, Billet matte black steering wheel, Hurst pistol grip shifter and a Rockford Fosgate Ipod setup and Image Dynamics speakers! The engine compartment is nicely detailed and home to the massive 496 engine with 589HP! The engine in this beast was professionally built with many quality parts. The engine was dyno tested at 589HP prior to me purchasing the car and that dyno sheet is included. This engine has been completely tuned and runs amazing! This engine starts immediately and warms up very quickly. It runs on normal high octane pump gas with no issues. I can’t say enough about how user friendly this engine is. Some of the engine upgrades include such items as Dart aluminum heads, Comp cam, PBM Hyd lifters and HD balancer, Edlebrock polished intake and aluminum timing cover, Holley High Performance street 750CFM carburetor and fuel pump, Chevrolet polished valve covers and air cleaner, chrome alternator, MSD ignition, polished pulleys and Optima red top battery! The engine breathes through Hooker Super Competition ceramic headers with Flow Master mufflers! The engine is coupled with a Richmond 5-speed transmission with overdrive. It has a Hurst shifter with pistol grip. This is one of the best transmissions on the market and very expensive. The power is put to the pavement through a built 12 bolt rear end with POSI traction! Power Steering and Power brakes with front disc setup! The trunk compartment is painted with a slight gloss finish and home to the spare tire! The undercarriage is also nicely detailed with satin black floors. Everything underneath this car has been restored or replaced. It has QA1 adjustable shocks! “The 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle was the first year for the new Chevelle design which is one of the most recognized muscle cars of all time. In 1968 the VIN number still indicated if the car was a SS model. They changed this in 1969 forward which makes it very hard to know what Chevelles were real SS cars from the factory. The body on this car is very solid and the doors open and close like a safe. This car left the factory in rare Grecian Green which it’s painted today. The car also left the factory with black bucket seats which it still retains today. The interior has tasteful upgrades. The heart of this beast is a built 496 with 589HP! It has the Dyno sheets to prove it. It’s been so dialed in by my shop it starts and runs like a small block. Yes, it runs on pump gas. I’ve collected and sold many muscle cars over the years and this is one of the fastest. The Richmond 5-speed transmission with overdrive is great. I would challenge anyone to find a 1968-1972 Chevelle that has everything this car has to offer in this price range. Good luck with that. Get it before some else does!” Marc Schiliro – “The Owner” ***I SOLD THIS CAR IN AUGUST OF 2014 LOCALLY TO A GOOD FRIEND WHO ALSO HAPPENS TO OWN ONE OF THE SHOPS I USE FOR SERVICING MY CLASSIC VEHICLES. HE IS A VERY PARTICULAR PERSON WHICH SAYS A LOT ABOUT THIS IS A CAR AS IT PASSED HIS TEST. HE HAS COMPLETELY GONE THROUGH THIS CAR FROM TOP TO BOTTOM AND DRIVEN IT ROUGHLY 500 MILES OVER THE LAST FEW MONTHS TAKING IT TO CAR SHOWS, ETC. HE LOVES THE CAR BUT NEEDS TO SELL IT TO INVEST MONEY INTO HIS GROWING BUSINESS. I’M DOING HIM A FAVOR AND HELPING HIM SELL IT. THE SALE WILL GO THROUGH HIM DIRECTLY BUT I’M HANDLING EVERYTHING. HE’S AVAILABLE TO SPEAK TO ANYONE IF NEED BE. THANK YOU. *** Inspection Report"Unfortunately most classic vehicles that are being advertised for sale by dealers and private parties aren't exactly what's being advertised for sale. This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different. The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages. Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration. An example would be a classic vehicle that's being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc. Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored. There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components. The consumers are spending thousands of dollars repairing the classic vehicles they've purchased after the sale. At MS CLASSIC CARS I own the entire inventory and take pride in what I sell. I'm not a consignment dealer who is only looking to make a quick buck on a vehicle that they don't even own. We’ve seen dealers and private parties purchase classic vehicles at auctions and online and immediately list them for sale. They never even touched the vehicle. Even with 15+ years’ experience and having collected and sold over 250 classic vehicles I’ve experienced that ALL the classic vehicles need some attention. Obviously some need more than others but the bottom line is they all need something. I do the best of our ability to purchase quality classic vehicles, prepare them and advertise them honestly. To be clear were not in the restoration business. I collect and sell classic vehicles that have already been restored and do our best to bring them to another level with service and detail work. Unlike many dealers when you call or email to inquire about a classic vehicle you speak directly to me. I purchases all the classic vehicles for MS CLASSIC CARS, follow the service and detail process, write the descriptions, take the photos, advertise them for sale and answers all the calls and emails. I'll personally go over the entire vehicle and tell you everything I knows about it. I'll also give you my personal opinion about the classic vehicle of your choice and decide if it’s truly the right fit for you. If you've read the introduction tab or visited myr website you’ll probably agree I'm a bit of a perfectionist and represent very detailed classic vehicles. MS CLASSIC CARS has a great reputation and we continue to raise the bar in the classic car and truck world. These are older vehicles and aren’t new but were doing our best to make them function, look great and honestly describe them. I sell our classic cars and trucks very quickly because consumers see the value. Once you've committed to purchase a classic vehicle from MS CLASSIC CARS, I'lll make it a very easy process from start to finish. Once the funds have cleared I'll immediately mail the paperwork USPS 2-day air. A CD with the description and photos of the vehicle you purchased will be included in the package. I'll also assist in enclosed door to door transportation. I look forward to working with you. Thank you for the opportunity! "Why buy from MS Classic Cars? 1024x768 Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE What makes MS CLASSIC CARS different from other classic car dealers and from vehicles being marketed privately on the market for sale? * Each vehicle has been hand picked by the owner Marc Schiliro * NO CONSIGNMENTS. Customer satisfaction is our #1 goal. Classic cars and trucks make great investments and are extremely fun to own. It’s so exciting to search for a classic, purchase one and watch it come off the trailer, add your own touches, take it for a ride or just look at it sitting in the garage after a hard day at work. Classic car and truck collectors aren’t just in the United States but worldwide. The classic car and truck market is growing every day. It’s seen at car shows and auctions, in magazines and on TV shows. Get your new classic car or truck today. You only live once, if you can afford it, do it! I do the best I can to represent my classic cars and trucks. My results, feedback and reputation speak for themselves. Everyone’s opinion of a classic car and truck is different and I encourage questions prior to a purchase. I have a beautiful showroom with excellent lighting and a lift for a complete inspection if requested. Inspections will be scheduled by appointment only. The closest airport is Providence, RI. It’s only a 25 minute ride from the dealership. I can arrange to pick up at the airport. I also have a dealer plate that would allow for a test drive with a valid driver’s license for a serious buyer. Please call 508-557-0152 or email for any questions. Thank you. [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Frame Off Built Bel Air 468 Dual Quad V8 Richmond 5 Speed Leather A/C Year: 1955 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Red Mileage: 63784 Transmission type: 5 Speed Manual Engine: 468 V8 Interior color: Tan Vehicle info All you have to do is look at our sold inventory page to confirm tri-five Chevys are some of the most popular and in-demand collector cars on the planet. Factory-correct Bel Airs, especially '57 convertibles, tend to leave our RK Motors Charlotte showroom almost as fast as they arrive. And if you want a chrome-laden show boat that's great for garage parties and Saturday afternoon parking lots, a car like that is all well and good. But what about enthusiasts who demand more? Combining a healthy dose of pro-touring attitude with one of the best automotive designs ever produced, this irresistible '55 custom is a high power monster that puts a new spin on an old favorite. Best of all, you can have all this old school Motown swagger AND upgraded mechanicals for significantly less than the cost of any restored-to-original concours queen! Combining classic Chevrolet lines with brilliant red two-stage, this fantastic Bel Air is the beneficiary of a high quality, frame-off restoration which created one unique and very impressive cruiser. After spending many years rolling down the road as a bone-stock bowtie, the car's solid body was shipped to a professional restoration shop for a high dollar overhaul. Once that body's panels were completely stripped and thoroughly worked, it was layered in a smooth basecoat and sealed in a tough clearcoat. And today, this slick resto-mod, which hints at classic gassers of days gone by, is the kind of car we all stare at, fondly remember, and rarely get the chance to own! The '55 model is certainly the cleanest of the tri-five Chevys with its minimal trim and crisp, retro styling devoid of the massive chrome and exaggerated proportions which typically characterize 50s era steel. At the front of this hardtop, a trademark bumper rides below a pristine stainless grille, bowtie-branded parking lamps and modern tri-bar headlights that are lined in traditional chrome trim. At the top of that grille, a factory-fresh Chevrolet crest is centered below a new 'jetbird' hood ornament which looks fantastic against the car's mirror-like paint. At the back of that hood, tinted glass rides inside fresh stainless trim, bright stainless wipers and a small billet mirror. At the base of that mirror, razor-straight fenders are accented by factory-optioned trim spears, traditional GM door handles and highly polished side pipes. And at the back of those fenders, smoked, Buick-style tail lights illuminate a second Chevrolet crest and second body-width bumper. By now it's probably pretty obvious this Chevy was built to be seen. But, thanks to the 468 cubic inch V8 under its rolled hood, that might be easier said than done! At the top of the painted and polished powerplant, small air cleaners hang reusable filter elements over coated Carter AFB Competition Series carburetors, a series of polished fuel lines and a small Summit pressure gauge. Below those carburetors, a coated Offenhauser intake sends a perfect air/fuel mixture into big, free-breathing heads that are topped with slick, polished aluminum valve covers. When the juice hits the cylinders, a Delco Remy HEI distributor sends fire through loomed Reactive Core Silicone wires while spent gases exit into custom, coated headers. Cooling for that fire is provided by a polished aluminum radiator which hangs a large electric puller fan between a chrome overflow tank and bowtie-branded cap. Fluid for that cooling system is provided by a familiar Weiand water pump which, along with a polished alternator and chrome AC compressor, is spun by aesthetically pleasing pulleys. And the car's engine compartment is exceptionally clean, centering its solid black block between a body-matched firewall, glossy inner fenders and details like a polished SSBC master cylinder, a chrome brake booster, a modern power steering pump and bright top-end accessories. Like its engine bay and exterior panels, the bottom of this road ready Bel Air continues the theme of pairing proven hardware with enhanced technology. Behind the awesome big block, a smooth shifting Richmond 5-speed sends power to a 12-bolt posi-traction rear end that's equipped with friendly 3.42 gears. Turns come courtesy of a modern power rack and pinion steering system, which gives the car quick reflexes and excellent maneuverability. Stops are provided by a Baer four wheel power brake system, which utilizes bright calipers to squeeze giant drilled and slotted rotors. An impressive true-dual exhaust system sends spent gases through great sounding Hooker Maximum Flow mufflers to polished, side-outlet tips. The car's glossy black frame and vivid red floorpan complement a rebuilt 'glide ride' ball-joint suspension that's fitted with thick sway bars and thicker traction bars. All that reliable hardware rides on a sweet set of polished Billet Specialties wheels which spin 225/40ZR18 Kumho Ecsta SPTs in front of 255/35ZR20 Kumho Ecsta SPTs. And fully sorted details like braided fluid lines, a tubular transmission crossmember and a high quality Milodon oil pan ensure this classic Chevy is ready for years of carefree cruising. Inside this sedan, traditional Bel Air style is augmented by a high level of customization and close attention to detail. The car's firm bench seats are all-day comfortable and feature tough leather hides that fit without any significant wrinkles or annoying creases. Overhead, there's a pliable leather headliner that's propped up by a snazzy billet mirror. On the floors, like-new carpet rides under billet pedals, a chrome shifter and color-keyed, bowtie-branded floor mats. At the front of the cockpit, a satin black dash, which features textured billet trim from door to door, hangs a custom instrument cluster between a Creative Automotive Antenna, controls for the car's Vintage Air climate system, a modern Kenwood CD player and stylish Auto Meter Sport Comp telemetry. At the sides of that dash, leather door panels look great behind billet handles and satin black toppers. In front of the driver, a satin-spoked steering wheel spins around a satin-finished tilt steering column. And behind the passengers, a custom leather package tray hangs Alpine Type R speakers over a custom upholstered trunk. What started out as America's first low-priced hardtop has now become a legend. And today, the 1955 Chevy is one of the most exclusive and highly-sought collector cars of all time. If you've been searching for a top notch tri-five custom that's as much fun to drive as it is to show, this cool '55 Bel Air's combination of great performance and classic style simply can't be beat! About this auction & rk motors charlotte Please note that all sales are binding and final. Our cars are sold "as-is" with no warranty expressed or implied. THANK YOU.1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Custom w/ 600HP -- $43,900.00Introduction Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro the owner of MS CLASSIC CARS,LLC. Short Description1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Custom w/ 600HP “The Incredible Hulk” This car was built in Fremont, CA as a real SS 396 as both the VIN number and trim tag indicates! The engine compartment is nicely detailed and home to the massive 496 engine with 600HP! The engine in this beast was built with no expense spared and was dyno tested at 589HP before my shop changed the cam and retuned it. Now it’s probably over 600HP! It runs on normal high octane pump gas with no issues. The heart of this beast is a built 496 with 600HP! It has the Dyno sheet to prove it. Get it before some else does!” Marc Schiliro – “The Owner” Long Description MS CLASSIC CARS is proud to present a beautiful 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Custom w/600HP! AKA: “The Incredible Hulk”. Attention Chevelle Enthusiasts! You’re about to witness one mean street machine that is ready for the pavement. As my website indicates I’ve collected and sold many beautiful Chevelles. Matter of fact, they’re one of my favorite classic cars of all time. My second classic car was a 1969 Chevelle and ever since I’ve been hooked. This is my first 1968 Chevelle and I’m very excited about it for multiple reasons which I’m listing below. This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle was built in Fremont, California as the VIN number and the trim tag indicate. It is a true SS 396 car as the VIN number and trim tag also indicate. Unfortunately there are a lot of fake muscle cars being advertised on the market for sale. At least with this car you know 100% it was a true SS car when it left the factory new. This car was painted a very rare and beautiful color called Grecian Green as the trim tag indicates. During the restoration process it was painted in its original color which I think is very cool. How many Chevelles have you seen in this color? This car has been completely restored from top to bottom very low mileage since. From what I’ve gathered and researched it retains all or mostly all of the original sheet metal. The body is straight and the gaps are tight. The hood, doors and trunk open and close as tight as a bank vault! The exterior color shines beautifully especially in the sun and gets a lot of compliments. The paint is very nice and worthy of calling it show quality. It does have a few small chips but nothing worth complaining about. Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced such as the glass, stainless trim, bumpers, lights, emblems, etc. The car is wrapped in new American 15” Torque Thrust wheels with 225/70/15 Copper Cobra front tires and 275/60/15 Nitto Extreme Drag rear tires. This car has a mean stance! The black interior is beautiful and in great overall condition. This car originally came with a black interior with bucket seats when it left the factory. The undercarriage is also nicely detailed with satin black floors. Everything underneath this car has been restored or replaced. It has QA1 adjustable shocks! *** One thing that MS CLASSIC CARS does that most other classic cars dealers and private party don’t is we service every classic car and truck. 95% of the classic cars and trucks that I purchase and that are advertised for sale need to be serviced. This 1968 Chevelle was a great find and the gentleman who owned it thought it was great. When I acquired the car I made a list and so did my service department as we do with every vehicle. Our classic vehicles speak for themselves. I invested $3,357.85 my cost making it even better. This would've cost a retail buyer roughly $5000.00! My reputation means everything to me and this is why my vehicles sell quickly. A complete list of the items listed below in no exact order is listed and also pictured below*** • Performed used car inspection • Change oil and filter • Removed broken fan blade and shortened fan bolts • Cleaned and painted the bottom of the oil pan • Removed distributer and disassembled and set the timing curve and vacuum advance • Replaced carburetor with brand new Holley 750 CFM 4150 series • Repaired interior trim panel and door panel. • Set front end alignment • Removed steering wheel and replaced hub under wheel. Also repaired horn wiring • Replaced marker light bulb • Remove the camshaft assembly and installed a more functional custom made camshaft. Adjusted the valvetrain • Replaced V belt and adjusted all belts • Adjusted clutch linkage • Installed new driver’s side door glass • Replaced leaking thermostat housing • Repaired loose door panel • Replaced spark plugs, coolant, gaskets, etc. • MS CLASSIC CARS FULL CLASSIC CAR DETAIL FROM TOP TO BOTTOM! “Make sure to ask the seller of the vehicle your comparing this 1968 Chevelle to if they have a classic car check list showing a complete inspection of the entire vehicle from top to bottom.” “The 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle was the first year for the new Chevelle design which is one of the most recognized muscle cars of all time. In 1968 the VIN number still indicated if the car was a SS model. They changed this in 1970 forward which makes it very hard to know what Chevelles were real SS cars from the factory. Get it before some else does!” Marc Schiliro – “The Owner” *** Inspection Report*** If you read my introduction tab or visited my website you’ll probably agree that I’m a perfectionist and represent very detailed classic cars and trucks. My reputation and feedback speaks for itself. No vehicle is perfect and I want to be 100% upfront about each car. This car is 46 years old and isn’t perfect. Please call me at #508-557-0152 or email me with any questions. I’ll tell you everything I know about the car and go over the entire exterior panel by panel if need be. Thank you. We have been in business right here in Richmond, VA selling vehicles since 1973. This year (2012) will be our 39th year in business we are proud to say. We are family owned & operated and work very hard to make you happy and make sure you have an enjoyable eBay purchase! We are located at 2711 Enterprise Parkway in Richmond, VA 23294. If you need directions from your location to ours just go to Mapquest. You are always welcome to come by and see the vehicle you are interested in, but not all vehicles are on site at all times as some may still be out being serviced during the auction. So please let us know in advance if you are coming to see a particular vehicle so it will be there for you to view. What about any questions I may have? If you have any questions about one of our vehicles or our terms & conditions please email or call us. Please make sure the email address you have on file with eBay is current. If it is not current when we reply it will bounce back and you will not get a response of course. We answer ALL emails in a very timely manner. If you do not hear from us it is not because we did not answer you, it is an email issue. In that case just call us at (804) 918-0471. Can anyone bid? We welcome all registered eBay bidders to participate in our auctions. Yes, even all INTERNATIONAL bidders are welcome too! While many sellers will not sell to International bidders, we do! We have completed many International transactions, not only just in Canada, but all over the world! Please be advised however that in most cases International bidders will have to arrange their own shipment of the vehicle out of the country, but we will help when we can. What should I expect when buying a used vehicle? This is a reminder to all bidders. These vehicles are USED vehicles and are not new. Please expect a certain amount of wear, use, and flaws as is standard on ANY used car. All used cars including this one may have dings, nicks, chips, glass marks, fading, scratches, paintwork, accident history, rust, wheel or rim imperfections, or any other issues that are associated with use that is consistent with age and mileage of the vehicle. Obviously a car that is 10 years old will show more wear and have more flaws than one that is 2 years old. Since these vehicles are used, please remember that books, extra keys, remote entry keys, navigation discs, cd cartridges, etc...do not always remain with vehicles throughout their life. We will not be responsible for these minor accessories. These items are all replaceable at any local factory dealer, electronic store, or even on eBay. What about the vehicle’s history report? We often use these services to check a vehicles background. Carfax and Autocheck are wonderful services, but they have their limitations. Many times they will show more “owners” than we may state a vehicle has had. This is because they are an information service only. They have never seen the car, owned the car, and have no other information about the car than what is reported from different agencies. All of this information is originally hand entered into their databases at their source and mistakes and inconsistencies will occur! For example when a dealer such as ourselves purchases a vehicle they may pick it up as a new owner when this is of course not the case as dealers are not end users. Also they often contain mileage errors are inconsistencies that appear to make little sense. Just like any computer generated information report you need to know how to read the report & when to read between the lines. Having seen thousands of these over the years we can help you understand the information listed in these reports, just ask. Can you explain your as-is / warranty policy? All vehicles are being sold as-is, where is with no warranty, expressed or implied. The seller shall not be responsible for correctness of description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and makes no warranty in connection therewith. Any and all descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. Your bid is binding under applicable statute. The buyer assumes all responsibility for all defects known and unknown. The seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs, defects or damages pre-existing or otherwise regardless of any oral or written statements about the vehicle. The buyer has no right of rescission and is not entitled to any compensation for known or unknown, or disclosed, or undisclosed damage or repairs. Do not bid if you are not prepared to conclude your purchase. All information and comments contained within the vehicle listings are deemed reliable, but are not guaranteed. We try very hard to make sure they are as accurate as possible. If an option or feature is not listed in the ad or you do not see it in the pictures, then the vehicle most likely does not have that option or feature. We do not want you to be unhappy with your purchase but at the same time you have to understand what "AS-IS" means. It means sold without warranty - no exceptions. Most cars are sold at wholesale prices, many way below book prices. Therefore there is minimum profit at best and as such we can not afford to warranty the vehicle as if you had purchased it off a retail lot at full list price. Remember many of these cars are near a decade old or many have in excess of 100,000 miles so they may be new to you but that doesn’t change the fact that they are used cars and repairs can be needed at any time regardless of how short a time period you have owned the car. While we try to service any known defects it is still possible for used vehicles to need service or repairs the first days or weeks of ownership. All cars are used machines and used machines need general repairs on a regular basis many times without prior warning. This is especially true for name brand highline & exotic vehicles that have more elaborate features and systems. Also repairs are more common on say a 10 year old model car as opposed to a 2 or 3 year old model car since they cost significantly less than a newer car. Obviously the older the car the more possible this is of happening. What you have just read is basically common sense, but there are some people who don’t understand this so this is why we have spelled it out in plain English. Can I see or inspect the vehicle in person? Prospective bidders are always welcome to come view or arrange on site inspections of the vehicle they are interested in BEFORE the close of the auction. Once the auction has ended the vehicle is now considered sold and we do not permit any post sales inspections at that point. Of course if you are the winner of the auction you are always welcome to look over the car, test drive it, and make sure you are happy with it before taking delivery. Do you end auctions early? We reserve the right to end any auction early should we deem it necessary. However this is quite rare and occurs in less than 2% of all listings. But occasionally we have to end an auction early because we made an error in the vehicles options, description, warranty, or have a title issue. Also any bid retractions within the last half of the remainder of the auction are subject to be ended early at our discretion. We further reserve the right to refuse the sale of any vehicle to any bidder or buyer at our discretion should we deem it necessary. What are the technical legal terms? Venue for any legal action such as claims, motions, litigation, settlements, or any legal action associated with this sale from either the buyer or seller is to take place in the State of Virginia in the Henrico County Courthouse. By bidding on this auction the bidder / buyer agrees that any legal action will be heard in the County of Henrico in the State of Virginia. Buyer agrees to be responsible for all legal costs including but not limited to court costs, expenses, attorney fees, cost of process service, and any other cost associated with the normal course of business. Should debt collection be necessary buyer agrees to pay 1 ½ % interest per month or an annual rate of 18% until the debt is collected and paid in full. Should the vehicle need to be repossessed the buyer will be responsible for all costs associated with recovering the vehicle and the buyer will also be responsible for any damages to the vehicle. By entering into this contract the bidder warrants that they are at least 18 years of age and are financially capable of completing this purchase. How do I pay for the vehicle? The balance of the purchase price MUST be paid for by cash in person, cashiers check (like you would get from most banks & credit unions), or bank wire transfer. We do not accept personal checks, credit cards, paypal, drafts, escrow services, or any other form of payment that is not expressly listed above. Some services such as E-Loan or HSBC place demands on their loans that we can not meet. For example sometimes they require the borrower to only purchase a vehicle in the state they reside and that of course would make it impossible for most bidders &ourselves to comply. So again, we work very hard to make the process go smoothly & quickly just let us know upfront if you have any special needs so we can help out. Please note that you are welcome to have your loan officer contact us to arrange one of the above payments if they have questions or concerns. We realize that different lending institutions have different needs and we are here to work with you in those instances. If you arrive to pick up your vehicle and do not have an acceptable form of payment you will be denied delivery of the vehicle. This means you will have to go home without the vehicle or stay over in Richmond until acceptable payment is received. Do not let this happen to you, just follow our simple rules pf payment to ensure a smooth delivery of your new vehicle. These are the only forms of payment that we accept, so if they are not acceptable to you then please do not bid. Final payment must be made within 7 days of the close of the auction. There are no refunds or cancellations once payment has been made as all sales are final on all eBay related transactions. Are there any other fees? We do not collect any taxes from any buyers. We do charge a small $95 fee to help cover the cost of the Gross Receipt Inventory Business Tax, Temporary Tags, & Registration that is charged on each car. We charge this fee to help defray the cost of these expenses. International bidders, including Canada will be subject to an additional $100 fee due to the extra costs associated with completing those sales. Things such as international phone calls, faxes, UPS packs, and wire transfer fees add up quickly for us when doing business outside of the U.S.A. So in summary all you pay to us is the winning bid price + the fee. Do you require a deposit from me? We require that a deposit be made to secure the transaction by the end of the next business day on each vehicle purchased. This means that if you win the auction for any given vehicle at 10PM on a Monday night then the $250 deposit is due by 5PM the following night (Tuesday) . Each vehicle requires a $250 deposit. The deposit is to be made via PayPal only. If you do not have a PayPal account we will be happy work with you depending on each buyers unique situation. Should any buyer fail to make this deposit or to make other arrangements with us by 5PM we reserve the right to offer or sell the vehicle to another bidder or buyer as we deem necessary. Also should the buyer fail to make this deposit or make other arrangements with us by 5PM we reserve the right to cancel the transaction. If a buyer pays the deposit, but does not complete the transaction for any other reason, then the deposit is not refundable and becomes the property of The Car Man of Richmond. Can The Car Man of Richmond arrange financing for me or take my trade in? We do not offer any financing through the dealership. Please have all loan and financing arrangements in place before you bid. Also we do not accept trade ins on our auction sales due to the limitations of the auction process. Do I need insurance? Once the vehicle is paid for in full insurance is required from the buyer. We do not insure the vehicle after payment is made in full. This is especially important if your vehicle is being transported via car carrier. How does shipping work? We do not arrange shipping for any of our vehicles. Vehicle shipping is the responsibility of the buyer of the vehicle. You are welcome to use any transporter you choose to come pick up the vehicle from our dealership. If you do not have a transporter we may be able to suggest one for you. Also you can do a web search for vehicle transporters for a greater selection. We do not take vehicles to shipping terminals or shipping ports. All vehicles must be picked up at the dealership during regular business hours Monday - Saturday. Pricing and delivery times are between you and your shipper. Average shipping time is 5 - 15 days depending on many different factors. It is recommended that exotic or high dollar vehicles be shipped enclosed (but that is a personal choice). Also vehicles such as, Limousines, Large Commercial Trucks & Large Vans, etc. may have extra costs associated with them due to size limitations or may not be able to be shipped at all. All buyers should keep the above information in mind when purchasing a vehicle. PLEASE NOTE: Approx. ½ of our cars are transported, and these cars can have no more than ¼ tank of fuel to help the weight down on the transport trucks. Because of the fact we do not know which cars will be transported & which will be picked up in person, all cars will have no more than ¼ tank of fuel at delivery. What happens after I win the auction? At the close of the auction we will contact you by email and ask for your name and phone number. Melissa will then call you on the phone and go over all of the details with you. Or you can call the dealership at (804) 918-0471. At this time we will ask for your credit card information and charge to your account the $250 deposit. Once this is done all we need to do is schedule a time for delivery. Please give us 24 hours notice if possible so we can detail & prepare your vehicle for delivery. When can I pick up my vehicle? If you are planning to pick up the vehicle in person, these are the hours we are open for eBay deliveries: Monday (9-5), Tuesday (9-5), Wednesday (9-5), Thursday (9-5) and Friday (9-5). We are closed on Saturday, Sunday, and all National Holidays. If these hours do not suit your needs, then please arrange to have your vehicle shipped. These are the ONLY hours we will be delivering vehicles. We will have all required paperwork ready for you upon your arrival for a speedy delivery. Please give us 24 hours notice if possible so we can detail & prepare your vehicle for delivery. What if I can not come to your dealership to pick up my vehicle & I wish to have it shipped to me? If you are shipping your vehicle we will UPS (or FedEx) all necessary paperwork to you for required signatures. Once you have completed this simple task enclose payment and UPS us back all copies of all the documents. When we receive back the paperwork we will then separate our copies & your copies, enclose the vehicle title, temporary tags, registration, and send them back to you once again via UPS. At this time you can arrange shipping for your vehicle or if you have already done so you may let your shipper know that the vehicle has been paid for and is now cleared for pick up. Please try to give us (or have your transporter give us) 24 hours notice before pick up so we can have your vehicle detailed for you before it leaves our dealership. Please note that even though we detail every car before it leaves, cars that have a great distance to travel will usually still get dirty from road debris or unforeseen weather conditions while traveling from state to state. Will you leave me positive feedback? We are always happy to leave you positive feedback once the transaction is complete. We hope you too will leave us positive feedback and give us a 5 star rating as well. Anything else I should know? By bidding on the above vehicle or by purchasing the above vehicle, bidder / buyer acknowledges all eBay rules and the rules and regulations as stated in this listing by The Car Man of Richmond. By placing your bid you accept all rules as listed above and understand there are no refunds or cancellations, as your bid is a legal and binding agreement, (as stated in the eBay User Guidelines). One more thing, will buying a vehicle on eBay be easy & fun? We think so, we have sold vehicles to customers in every state and many cities & countries all over the world. If we can do anything to help make your purchase easier just ask and we will do our best to accommodate you. Purchasing a vehicle on eBay is not only a great way to get a great deal it is also a lot of fun and we do everything we can to make it as simple and enjoyable as possible. Don’t forget to see our other vehicles we have up for auction this week! Thank You! Thank You!
