Ultra rare, fully restored, nicely customized and hotroded 1956 Cadillac DeVille for sale. This is the car of cars. A CADILLAC! Here you have ultra-rare opportunity to buy a gorgeous restomoded Cadillac with brand new, high output Cad 500ci 8.2L engine matted to a Cadillac-long-shaft Turbo 400 automatic transmission. One-of-One – no other exactly like this for sale. If there is one thing Cadillac owners wished they had in their cars, it would be more power. And that’s exactly what you are getting with this big block V8 500ci motor. Plenty more! As they say, there’s no replacement for displacement. This power house is a torque monster. It moves this large and heavy car with absolute ease. People are shocked how fast this large car takes off. Southern California original car = zero rust! I have 2007 title with these license plates which proves it NEVER left the state. it’s been wonderfully preserved and totally unmolested to begin with. All original panels and floors. Plus, it has been fully restored in the last 2 years. Restoration included body and paint, full interior {less door panels in great shape}, full exterior trim, engine swap to ‘70s big block Cad 500ci engine with matching long-shaft Cadillac Turbo 400 transmission. Seals on windshield and rear glass are brand new. Door and trunk seal have been replaced as well sometime in recent past and are in perfect shape. All chrome except door handles has been redone just a few months ago. Looks stunning. all in all, 99.5% of all trim , stainless and chrome, has been redone and is like new. And this car has a lot of it. High $$$$ worth and it’s all done. Brand new headliner, brand new carpet, brand new seat covers, bran new package tray, brand new Coker tires in 2014. Now the fun part – the engine conversion. The reason there’s only a handful of these out in the world is simple – it’s very costly and very labor intensive. If someone has the courage and funds to do this big upgrade, they usually keep the car until they die. This is very rare opportunity to purchase the car finished, turn key condition. The original 365 V8 was not up to the task of ‘fast and loud’. Donor motor was found locally. It was pulled in good running condition, but has been fully rebuilt in the last 3 months. I have $9000 in this engine alone. Wayne’s engines of Riverside did the short block with brand new, complete rotating assembly WITH crankshaft {super hard to find}. Comes with 12 months/12000 miles warranty on parts and labor. Block alone cost $2500{you can build entire Chevy motor for that!}. Heads redone by Precision Cylinder Heads of Lake Forest. Motor highly upgraded with Cad500 alluminum oil pan, Gold series Special chassis oil pump, Edelbrock aluminum intake, new Edelbrock carburetor, ton of chrome engine accessories. Intake additionally custom polished by New Year Metal of Santa Ana. They also did all the chrome and polishing on this car.. You open the hood and it’s all eye-candy from there. Just gorgeous combination of color, polished aluminum and chrome. Super clean, brand new. Period. Custom aluminum radiator fitted in front of the cross member with custom-made overflow tank and aluminum covers. All polished to perfection and show look. Delta PAG digital brushless fan blade installed – it’s the only fan on the market certified to pull what its rated at. Best warranty in fan business - 3 years. The Cadillac-only long shaft Turbo 400 transmission has been also rebuilt and has a brand new torque convertor. It’s absolutely smooth in every rmp range, in every gear plus it’s very responsive with down shifts. Great performing, bulletproof transmission. It allows for great performance driving if need be while providing excellent cruising capability. Long story short, to find another car like this is nearly impossible. Nothing compares, simply. This race car is still owned by Newman Freeman Racing, and it is the last example available of the nine cars in the Newman Freeman Racing stable from the 1970's and 1980's. It was last raced in 2007 but has always been maintained properly and is PROFESSIONALLY PREPARED and race ready. Some minor rust and small dings as per raced era. Not a show car or trailer queen, it is in ORIGINAL, UNRESTORED CONDITION, BUT AS RACED BY NEWMAN FREEMAN RACING WITH GREAT PATINA. This is NOT the car that Paul and Bill drove at Sebring in 1977 (see photo). This car was mainly used for private testing periods with Paul Newman and Bill Freeman at Riverside, Willow Springs, and Phoenix International Raceway. It was also driven in a few SCCA and Porsche Club events in the 1980's and displayed at various car shows. BACKGROUND In late 1976 or early 1977, Newman contacted Bill Freeman, an SCCA National champion in Santa Barbara, California, to talk about forming a partnership to expand into pro racing. While they worked together into the 1980s fielding cars in Can-Am, I.M.S.A. and Indy Cars, their first joint efforts were Porsche’s. The team built or acquired three Porsche 911S race cars including the 1969 Porsche 911S being offered here. This 1969 Porsche 911S remained with the team to this day. Included are many unpublished photos of Paul Newman/Bill Freeman and other team members testing and racing some of the Newman Freeman Racing cars from the Newman Freeman archives. Currently finished in red/white/blue Newman/Freeman livery (as it was in the 1980's), there isn’t any vintage race in the country that wouldn’t welcome this car. 1963 Riverside Red Convertible Corvette THE VETTE NET, Nationwide Corvette Brokerage Network, proud Lifetime Business Member of the National Corvette Museum is pleased to offer a very special Corvette: 1963 Red Convertible with the rare Fuel Injection option.Present owner had the car since 1996, bought from a Classic car company in Missouri. It was complete and running with original matching numbers engine. Actual owner thoroughly verified the numbers on the block and cylinder heads and crosschecked them with the build date of the car. There was no reason to suspect anything and it is strongly believed that this is the engine that the car came with.The engine was immediately removed and replaced with a generic 327 Corvette engine in order to preserve the original. Brakes were restored and car was driven occasionally.In 2007 the Fuel Injection unit was sent to a reputable FI shop run by Jack Podell http://www.jackpodellfuelinjections.com/ where it sustained a complete restoration. When the unit came back after more than a year, the actual owner decided to do a complete frame-off restoration. Car was stripped and was taken to GT Graphics and Customs in Bradenton, FL. They removed the body from the frame and was sent to be media blasted with soda, then prepped for paint in the original Riverside Red. As the body work was going on, frame was completely stripped and coated in epoxy primer. Then, the frame and control arms was shot with GM Restoration black. The control arms maintain the original style ball joints (not the bolt on replacements). Engine was rebuilt by a local machine shop. According to the restorer, who did hundreds of Chevrolet engines, it is without a doubt the original stamping, not a restamp. Frame and drive train restoration was finished, then car was taken back to GT Graphics to mount the body to the frame. This was completed around November of 2008. The bumpers (original GM) were sent out to Tampa, FL for chroming and when they returned the assembly began.The car was partially assembled (chrome, trim, etc) and sent to Corvettes West for final assembly. The car was wired, interior installed and started at that shop. The final assembly was completed by an NCRS judge so everything could be as close to original as possible. No nut or bolt was left untouched. Even the hub caps were sent to California to be professionally restored. The tires are period correct. Even the white soft top is dated to match the car.Finally, the car was complete around June of 2009. It was just too nice to drive on the street, so the owner decided to sell in order to be preserved in a private collection. Car is practically new, restored to higher standards and is a serious NCRS candidate.It comes with the correct hardtop too.
