I have for sale a southern, all original, barn find 1963 Pontiac Grand Prix hardtop with 59,000 original miles. This car was taken out of an old garage 3 months ago up by Tulsa Oklahoma. She Hadn't been driven in 20+ years. We brought it back to running condition the correct way, and that is it. It would be a shame to do anything but a show quality, frame off restoration on this car, so I will put it up for sale instead of doing what I can afford to do to it. The story we got from the owner's daughter is that her grandmother and grandfather bought it brand new in California after he came home from the Korean war. He actually was said to have went in early 1963 to the Cadillac dealership to buy a still new 1962 Coupe DeVille, and the dark blue, new body style Pontiac was sitting on the showroom floor. The grand daughter said her grand father said the car chose him at that point and not the other way around! Apparently, children were not allowed to ride in it. It was not that family car, and only Dad was allowed to drive it. It was garaged and waxed and washed and not driven much, and unfortunately put away in the garage wet, hence the rust around the rear quarters where water would collect and then not dry out, but rust can not be found anywhere else on the car. Nothing on the frame or underneath the car, just those rear quarters. The family moved to Arkansas in the late 70s due to a work transfer, and the car was driven less and less. Once the man of the house died, the car sat in a garage until the son bought it and put it in his garage in Claremore, Oklahoma in 1993, with intentions of restoration. His health failed, and therefore the car was barely ever driven, but always rinsed off afterwards, adding to the collection of water without evaporation. It was his daughter who sold us the car, as she needed it out of the garage and also wanted the money. Some people see these cars as giant metal paperweights, and I am just glad she didn't sell it for scrap.As you can see from the pictures, the cars interior and engine bay looks like a 59k original mile car. The body has the normal garage wear and tear, proving its lifetime inside. The car has the original 8 lug wheels, and every little thing on the car works. One of the old tires has a bubble in it, so there is a slight vibration when driving it, but it will run down the road just fine...and still has plenty of power! We do not want to see this car go to someone who is just going to do an ameture restoration on it. This is not a throw away car. This car was babied its entire life, and our hope is that someone will see the potential of it, and restore it back to its original glory. 1981 323i Euro in Brilliantrot. History:According to Andreas Hartz, BMW Archives, this BMW 323i VIN 7264076 was manufactured on July 3rd, 1981 and delivered the same day to the GermanBMW dealer Glöckler in Frankfurt/Main. The original colour was Graphit metallic, paint code 087 and had an automatic transmission (copy of email correspondence available). The car was then registered in September of 1987 (title photocopy available) to Margaret Vandever of Tulsa, Oklahoma, wife of William Vandever, owner of Vandever's Department Store. At some point the car became a non-runner. It was found and acquired sometime in the mid 90's by a BMW technician with a strong affinity for E21's. A long history of receipts (included with purchase) for parts and service follows a trail of about 10 years with over $12,000 dollars invested in parts alone. He somewhat unwittingly backed into a fabulous nut and bolt restoration of this Euro 323i. The car was posted for sale in the BMWCCA's Roundel in late 2010. It was purchased by a well known BMW enthusiast in North Carolina, Scott B., in 2011 and I acquired it from him November of 2012. The odometer was zeroed following the restoration and when I purchased it had 2,043 miles. It now shows 9,557 km, or almost 6,000 miles. All fluids were replaced at that time. The timing belt, idler and spark plugs were replaced at 4,458 kms (photographic documentation). This car needs nothing. Description:The restoration included an all new M20 'stroker' 1988 Super Eta with full "i" upgrades, including 885 head, cams, springs, intake, fuel system, electronics (Motronic 1.1) and +.50 Maxsil pistons. The transmission was a completely refurbished close ratio, dogleg Getrag 5 speed. The differential is an LSD 3.91 rebuilt by Aardvark in 2011. An open 3.45 differential is included with the car. All new suspension with Bilstein shocks. All new fuel system including tanks, pumps, hard lines, hoses, injectors and pressure regulator. All new brakes - rotors, pads, calipers, hoses, hard lines and master cylinder. New clutch including hose and cylinders. Ceramic coated Hartge headers and down pipes with all new exhaust. All new weather strips and seals. Complete new R134 A/C system which blows very cold. The body is razor straight with two stage Brilliantrot, show-quality paint that is blemish free, except for some very small stone chips on the leading edge of the hood as seen in the photos. The front spoiler/lip was painted black with Plasti Dip spray and could be easily reversed (peeled off). This material has the correct sheen and texture for this area of the car. Although black is correct for that front section and the side rockers, I like the red look on the sides of the car so I've not touched that. The interior was upgraded by the previous owner who installed Scheel seats upholstered in an attractive red/black houndstooth fabric. The seats show no wear. He also installed the super nice E21 sport steering wheel with blue/red stitching and the refurbished BBS Mahle 15" wheels with the Yokohamas, which are nearly new. The gray carpet appears to be original to the car and in good condition but the driver's side does show some wear staining. They are covered by red/black Coco Mats. Last year I installed a completely functional OEM headlamp wipe-wash system as Euro cars might have had back in its day. See it at work on the video, linked below. The attention to detail in the execution of this car is very high. The stereo is a correct Blaupunkt CR-2010 stereo cassette which works well with period correct Sansui (remember them...?) rear speakers and front kick panel OEM speakers. The fuse box cover is the correct one with the German language markings. A complete set of documentation is included as seen in the photos: German owner's manual, European service book (not original to the car), European map/dealership finder, European dealership listing as well as an English language manual so you can actually use it if you speak no German. An Osram Copilot cockpit lamp is included and the BMW glovebox flashlight is present and still works and holds a charge. The headlamps are 1-1/2 years old correct European H1 for both the high and low beam units. The city light feature works as it should, including when you set the turn signal stalk to L or R, with the ignition off. The Hella front fog lamps are period correct and mounted with the correct OEM hardware for a Euro E21. The rear foglamps work. The German plates are the correct pre-EU DIN plates with correct state sticker for the German state of Hesse where Frankfurt is located and the car was originally delivered. The battery has been relocated to the trunk and the enclosure done very well and to OEM standards. The spare tire is present and is an Alpina style wheel painted black (as the restorer had a set of those installed on the car) as well as the OEM jack and complete toolkit. On the downside, the dash has the typical E21 cracks, as seen in the pictures. I meant to have Just Dashes repair it but the cracks are not all that visible from the driver's seat so they haven't bothered me that much, especially since the rest of the car is so, so sweet. The car drives and feels like new. This is a powerful car and the low end torque is wonderful. The exhaust sound is just right and loud enough without being obnoxious on long trips. The suspension is tight yet compliant and not harsh at all. The gearbox shifts perfectly but you do have to let it warm up for best results and you can't rush the 1-2nd shift, you have to let the synchros work. You can see however that my shifting on the video isn't slow by any means. The fuel tank(s) is only around 15 gallons so combined with the larger engine and the 1:1 5th gear, your bladder won't outpace the car's range on long trips. The prior owner told me that if you parked on an incline with the tanks full you would get a leak. I haven't had this happen but it may be because I never parked on a steep enough incline. It's seen fewer than a hundred miles of very careful road time since undergoing a world class restoration. And aesthetically, it looks and feels new in virtually every way. A close inspection reveals creamy Cameo White paint that lies flat and smooth under straight Tyrol Blue stripes and an excellent Tyrol Blue tail panel. Speaking of panels, their fit and finish has been massaged to much higher tolerances than any of the good folks at Norwood would've ever dreamed. And overall, this is one very clean muscle car! Originally envisioned as an engineering piece that would show the world what Pontiac could do on the race track, the 1969 Trans Am was basically an engine and appearance package by the time it made the leap from concept to production. Much of Pontiac's top brass openly derided the car because they felt the GTO Judge was a better answer to the same question and the 1970 Trans Am, which was said to be a whole new league of pony car, was just around the corner. Little did those folks know that 60s Pontiac folklore would combine with the limited sales of the '69 model to kick start a legacy of visual excitement that would last over three decades! At the front of this pristine 'bird, a new for '69 Endura nose hangs Trans Am-specific grilles, which are complete with a silver arrowhead and a white inlayed "PONTIAC" script, between four T3 headlights. Below those headlights, the car's sculpted front valence perfectly aligns ornate parking lights above a Trans Am specific chin spoiler. And above those headlights, the car's imposing hood props "RAM AIR" branded scoops in front of satin stainless wipers. At the sides of the car, expressive 'coke bottle' character lines are highlighted by a standard chrome mirror, dent-free stainless body moldings and traditional GM door handles. Between those bolt-ons, small "TRANS AM" call-outs combine with Trans Am-specific air extractors and highly detailed Firebird marker lights to add just the right amount of texture to glossy white paint. At the top of the car, like-new glass is framed by straight stainless trim and fresh chrome drip rails. And at the back of the car, a Trans Am-specific decklid spoiler props a large horizontal "TRANS AM" call-out above clear, pyramid-style tail lights, highly detailed Firebird and "PONTIAC" emblems and a great looking, body-width chrome bumper. Under this Trans Am's sculpted steel hood you'll find a fully rebuilt motor that starts quick, runs perfectly and produces the kind of confident roar that old school Pontiacs are known for! At the top of the car's clean block, a fully functional induction system feeds roughly 50 degree air into a correct Rochester Quadrajet carburetor. Below that carburetor, a correct intake and original cylinder heads force high octane combustion through original long branch exhaust manifolds. Heat from that combustion is controlled by a leak-free radiator which is hooked to reproduction GM hoses, reproduction tower clamps and an original plastic fan shroud that features a correct grease mark. The block itself displays a slick coat of correct Turquoise paint from its intake all the way to its oil pan. The car's fenders, firewall and hood are covered in a smooth coat of GM satin black. Niceties such as fresh chrome valve covers, a correct AC compressor, a reproduction Delco Energizer battery, a fresh brake booster and a full set of decals can be found in all the right places. And aesthetically, this F1's highly detailed engine bay is 100% ready for show! Take a look at the bottom of this Pontiac and you'll find an immaculately restored undercarriage with rock solid satin black floor pans. Behind the high revving motor, an original Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed sends power to an original 10 bolt rear end that's equipped with a correct Safe-T-Track differential and correct 3.23 gears. That solid drivetrain is centered on the car's original double A-arm front and rear leaf spring suspension. At the head of that suspension, factory power steering provides easy turns and competent handling. At the corners of that suspension, standard power front disc and rear drum brakes provide modern stopping power. And at the back of that suspension, a fresh stainless fuel tank sends go juice through new stainless fuel lines. Naturally, all the car's hardware and bushings appear to be in like-new condition. There's a stainless, factory replacement exhaust system that employs all the right components and makes all the right sounds. And power meets the pavement through original 14 inch GM Rally II wheels which spin familiar Goodyear Polyglas F70-14 white letter tires around pristine stainless trim rings and awesome "PMD" branded center caps. Pop this Trans Am's solid white doors and you'll find a correct GM code 200 blue vinyl interior that's been brought back to life with a series of high quality reproduction pieces. The plush bucket seats, which were rebuilt and re-covered during the restoration, provide comfortably firm support and display no fading or tears. Below those seats, new blue carpet shows minimal wear and has likely been carefully protected by fresh arrowhead branded floor mats since it was installed. Above those seats, a stain-free headliner stretches tightly from the car's new A-pillar trim to its fresh sail panels. Between those seats, a familiar F-Body console still features its factory optioned 'wood' trim. At the front of the car, a clean dash makes room for the speedometer as well the inclusive gas, temperature, oil and generator gauges. To the right of those gauges, controls for the car's factory heat and air conditioning ride above a correct Delco radio. At the sides of the car, original one-piece door panels anchor well-maintained armrests between complete stainless trim and chrome handles for the doors and windows. In front of the driver, a familiar Sport steering wheel spins a wood rim and three satin finished spokes around a vivid "PMD" branded horn button. And behind the cockpit, the car's fully restored trunk props a correct spare tire and a correct jack assembly on a traditional houndstooth mat. Exterior / Interior VIN: 1JCCN87E9CT042294 2 Doors, Four Wheel Drive, SUV, 6 Cylinders, 5-Speed Manual Inventory ID: 042294 Vehicle Description Update 5-5-2014.....I have replaced the tires with new BF Goodrich All Terrain 32-11.50-15s and installed a new Pioneer Stereo w/ front USB input and new 5.25" speakers. I have driven the jeep a few hundred miles and continue to enjoy the Jeep. It doesn't leak any fluid and starts right up everytime I drive it. It has a fresh oil change and we have changed some of the fluids. Additionally it does not get hot driving around town, only your rear as the AC needs to be charged! You probably could jump in the jeep and drive it to California, however I would recommed this NOT to be a highway cruiser. Up for your consideration is a very clean and original 1982 Jeep CJ7-7 30th Anniversary Jamboree Edition. Now I know they are plenty of people out there that know alot more about the Jamboree Editions that I do. The only real info I have found has been quoted several times right here on ebay. According to the Jambo registry, there are fewer than 200 of these Jamboree Editions left. What I do know is that they are rare and finding one with Factory Hardtop and Doors is even more of a find. Couple that with Factory Air Conditioning, and that makes for a Very Rare find regardless of a Jamboree or not. I purchased this Jeep about ten months ago to replace a LJ I had. I used the LJ to pull behind motorhomes locally to make it a one man job to pick them up and drop them off. I sell a few coaches a month and it always seems to be a pain getting a ride to pick them up from the upholstery shop or service. I had the LJ for a few years and had no plans of selling it, like most people I got blinded by cash and poof, it was gone in an instant. In our spare time around the shop we have been tweaking with this Jamboree and finally got it into the condition I feel represents it great without spending $20,000 for body work. It looks good, but not great! Because I am very obsessive I have learned that this is not the Jeep for me, I get in it and drive for an afternoon and then start thinking about repainting the hood and fender. Then I think to myself, the paint can't possibly be matched to perfection. Oh, and I also drive my Jeep in the rain to keep my other cars clean and under carriage looking like new.....well you can see the pattern, I would never drive this Jamboree in the rain, not because it has any real rust, but because I am afraid it might start rusting by getting water in some nook or cranny I don't know about. Yes, some people will say, there is medication for that!!!! I have the opportunity to purchase the LJ back and that is what is going to happen. The LJ was almost perfect and it is all set up with a tow bar anyhow. Unfortunately I do not have much history on this Jamboree, I purchased the Jeep from a "flipper or trader' in Colorado Springs this last summer. He bought it from a dealer in Denver that supposedly bought the unit in a storage auction. I'm not sure if this is the truth or someone likes watching the Discovery Channel alot!!! The Carfax report doesn't help much either, it bounced from Colorado to Arkansas back to Colorado since 2000 with a brief time in Tulsa,Oklahoma. The last registration shows to be in 2010. It was wearing a Colorado title with NO Registration, the dealer that purchased it in just titled it back to his dealership in February of 2013. I have since titled it back to Texas under my dealership with a "title only" and registration. There is NO paperwork with this Jeep(other than the title), I do see the Landers sticker on the back of the Jeep, that must have been the dealer that sold it in Arkansas in 2001. I would speculate the Jeep to have had 2-3 owners, as in retail owners, not dealers. Here is what I can tell you about the Jeep, when I bought it, I never drove it. I had the Jeep trucked to Texas. We replaced the battery, drained the fuel, cleaned up the carburetor, and put a new master cylinder/brake booster on it. It fired right up and hasn't skipped a beat. I replaced alot of silly little parts and alot of weather stripping. I still have many of the door gaskets that I did not replace just in case someone wants to repaint the body. Like most of the old hard doors, they were starting to crack just below the quarter window. We used a small grinder and prepped the metal so we could drill the bottoms of the cracks and weld them back up. These areas have been touched back up and look good, however the paint has too much metallic, but we only touched up the area without paint, we did not paint the entire door or get crazy. Window cranks, interior door latches, exterior lights, windshield, seat belts, fender flares, and a host of trim pieces have been replaced. The emails won't stop from Quadratec, they feed the addiction!!! The Jeep had no carpet when I bought it, so we pulled out all the seats and belts and put a brand new carpet kit, NO I am not trying to hide anything, it drives me nuts not to have carpet and I figured a bedliner type material would mean I was definitely trying to hide something, I have included photos of the entire floor without carpet. To finish it off, we repainted and powdercoated the seat brackets and bases and put new all weather floor mats on top of the carpet to keep it looking good. Things like the paper glove box and silk defrost connector tube have been replaced. I would speculate I have spent a few thousand in parts from Quadratec alone, you can keep on going too! The passenger seat did not match the driver so I had it reformed and covered to match, it matches, but not perfect. I have noticed after I have been in and out of the Jeep alot, there are tiny pieces of the bottom of the seat cushion on the carpet. The older seats had a material that would break down and it looks like tiny pieces of twigs, anyone who has had older seats will recognize this, it wasn't foam and if you were born in the last 30 years, you probably won't even recognize this. But just so you know, this is the kind of stuff that drives me nuts, I am a clean freak. I know I can pull the seats and put a covering over the bottom to keep the minute pieces off of the carpet, again to keep my sanity, I am selling this Jeep!! Ok, so what is wrong with the Jeep. As you cans see in the photos, a small fire on the carburetor has burned a small spot in the hood. I inspected all hoses and wires around the carburetor and they are fine. At some point the drives fender has been repainted, I don't really see much bondo or filler so I assume it was nothing too bad, but the paint is now cracking. You can see the small crease on the bottom of the drivers doors, also a dent rearwards of the drivers rear tire. The top is intact but has small stress cracks here and there, also it has been touched up with a rattle can over the years. Inside and out everything works as it should, all VIN plates and tags are in place. The dash has been cut out for a regular DIN sized radio, there are no speakers back in the dash and I contemplated buying a new plastic dash piece that would cover the hole. I just can't see putting a radio in a old CJ-7. I wouldn't call this Jeep rust free, you can see surface rust on the undercarriage, but the body itself is virtually rust free. There is nothing that is rotten, NO holes, NO major cancer. However if you start looking in cracks and seams you can find some surface rust where the paint was thin. We have gone over the Jeep with a product designed to seal the affected areas. If the Jeep was put on a roadway in Northern Michigan in the winter, I am sure you would have problems at some point. Sheetmetal has come along way and you don't see too much rust on newer vehicles anymore. If you had plans for a complete tub removal, you wouldn't have to cut any rust out, just sanding, priming, and repainting. I have been driving the Jeep for awhile and all oil leaks have stopped. When we pulled the Jeep off the transport and into the shop, some of the seals and gaskets were seeping. But since I have been driving it, all seals seem to have stayed dry. I have not changed fluids in differentials, transmissions, or coolant. We changed the oil and air filter and have putting around here and there. This is a cool Jeep and needs nothing to run around in or to use for recreation. It is 32 years old and far from perfect, but no doubt a far cry from 90% of the other 32 year old vehicles today. Please expect paint imperfections, windows that have scratches, weathering as a whole, and some minor tweaking to make this Jeep your own. I will give NO warranty with this Jeep, if you have never bought anything online, I would not recommend this Jeep to be your first purchase. If you want to have a neutral third party inspect it, let me know, we can arrange something. I also welcome phone calls from those with a little knowledge or back ground of Jeep or Classics. If you are looking for your 16 yearolds first car, or wanting to buy a Jeep to go shred Moab, please keep on shopping elsewhere. Overview AMC produced the Jamboree to honor the 30th anniversary of the Jeepers Jamboree.
