For sale in the Houston showroom is one gorgeous Deluxe, the 1952 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe. The Chevrolet Deluxe had its introduction late in the 1941 model year as a 4-door sedan. In 1942 a fastback 2-door \"aerosedan\" became an option and more people seemed to be drawn to that. Production was indefinitely delayed in 1942 due to WWII, after Chevrolet had produced 110,000 total. 1948 was the rebirth of the Chevrolets famed Deluxe Style line and in 1949 these car caught a whole new look. Sharper, more chrome, sportier and just an all around great car. Equipped with a 216 C.I.D Inline 6 cylinder that produced 92 horsepower. More than enough to get this old timer on down the road. Backing the hearty little engine is a 3 speed manual also known as the 3 on the tree referring to the shifting the transmission manually by the shifter on the steering column. The exterior sports smooth curves with lots and lots of chrome. The Chevy Deluxe for sale is lathered in a Midnight Blue Pearl thats shows absolutely phenomenal. The interior was left looking time period. A two tone split cloth bench seats and a metal dash with a simple mono vacuum tube type radio with integrated speaker that is both AM and FM and its works great. Options on this amazing example of fine restoration include: Am/fm radio, cloth seats, seat belts, numbers are matching and capped steel wheels on bias ply tires. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE THE NOSTALGIA CRAZE HAS TAKEN OVER THE CLASSIC CAR HOBBY. ALL ACROSS THE NATION, OLD SCHOOL GASSER, STREET MACHINE, AND STREET ROD TRIBUTE CARS ARE BEING BUILT, USING THE POST WORLD WAR II BODY STYLES. THE 1946-1957 PRODUCTION VEHICLES ARE THE BASIS FOR THESE REPRODUCTIONS, JUST AS IT WAS BACK IN THE 80'S AND 90'S, WHEN THEY WERE ORIGINALLY MODIFIED FOR THE STREETS, DRAG STRIPS, AND SHOW CIRCUIT. A CLONE IS NICE, BUT WHAT IF YOU COULD OWN THE REAL DEAL? PLEASE READ THIS AD CAREFULLY AND VIEW THE TONS OF PHOTOS ON THIS BEAUTY, BECAUSE IT IS THE REAL DEAL! 1952 CHEVROLET STYLELINE DELUXE SEDAN. THIS IS AN EX SHOW CAR, STREET MACHINE THAT WAS BUILT AND WON PLENTY OF AWARDS BACK IN ITS' HEYDAY. FEEL FREE TO SEARCH THE INTERNET FOR COMPARISON VEHICLES. YOU WON'T FIND ANY! THIS RARE AND UNIQUE HOT ROD IS A TRUE, SURVIVING NOSTALGIA STREET MACHINE/SHOW CAR. CURRENTLY RATED AS NICE DRIVER QUALITY. AT THE TIME OF THE BUILD, THE COMPONENTS ON THIS CAR WERE THE BEST AVAILABLE. ALTHOUGH THE SEDAN HAS BEEN TOGETHER FOR A FEW DECADES, IT STILL SHOWS VERY WELL. ACTUAL MILEAGE UNKNOWN. VERY SUBTLE TWO TONE BLUE EXTERIOR FINISH. SO SUBTLE THAT FROM CERTAIN ANGLES YOU HAVE TO LOOK TWICE TO REALIZE IT IS TWO TONES OF BLUE. ALL STEEL TILT FRONT END. THIS FRONT END WAS ENGINEERED SO CAREFULLY THAT WHEN IT IS LOCKED IN PLACE IT APPEARS TO BE FACTORY STOCK BOLTED ON COMPONENTS. SMALL BLOCK CHEVY POWER, TURBO TRANS, AND TEN BOLT REAR WITH A 4.11 GEAR. BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE GRAPHIC DESIGN MURAL UNDER THE TILT FRONT END. ORIGINAL OLD SCHOOL PIN STRIPING ON COWL. IT ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS FOR THE BABY BOOMERS, NOSTALGIA ENTHUSIASTS, OR OLD SCHOOL GEAR HEADS. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE OPPORTUNITY, DON'T MISS OUT. From 1939-1945, World War II war production was the primary focus of American manufacturing. The rationing, sacrifice, and hardships of these war years resulted in an explosion of demand for consumer products after the war. One of the first wants of most American families was a new automobile. In 1949, Chevrolet trumped the competition with the first new post war styling. Chevrolet overhauled the entire lineup in 1949, moving from prewar designs to brand new cars with modern full width bodies and pontoon fenders. The division offered Special and Deluxe models in both Fleetline and Styleline series. Buyers could buy a bare bones coupe for as little as $1,300, or could move all the way up to $2,200 for an eight passenger station wagon. Virtually every body type and price level was offered in between. Each year, from 1949 to 1952, Chevrolet improved on their design. The 1952 model was the pinnacle of the first post war generation Chevrolets. Advertising touted the 1952 Chevrolet Styleline and Fleetline models as "More beautiful than ever." Reacting to the Korean conflict, civilian automobile production was cut this year, causing all automakers to post considerably smaller totals. Even with only 818,142 cars built, Chevrolet again scored well ahead of Ford, with Plymouth and Buick trailing far behind. Fast forward to the 80's and 90's. By this time, the first nostalgia craze swept the nation. Car enthusiasts everywhere had a burning desire to modify and upgrade the unique post war automobiles that they remembered riding in when they were children. The 1949-1952 Chevrolet was the model of choice for various reasons. First, because they outsold all other manufacturers, there were more available. Second, the aerodynamic design was perfect for street machines, and especially at the drag strip. Most importantly, most gear heads were familiar with the venerable small block Chevy engine. They were easy to maintain, parts were readily available, and when modified they went fast! Please read the entire ad. In addition to the 24 photos in the main ad body, there is a file of nearly 100 additional photos below. This is a chance to own a real nostalgia hot rod for a fraction of the price of a new built reproduction. Nice, driver quality paint. All steel tilt front end. As with the rest of the car, the front end was professionally fabricated using original factory components. When the front end is closed, there is a complete factory stock appearance. This is not a cheap fiberglass flip front with ill fitting gaps all around. Check the fitment and gapping in the photos. Very subtle two tone blue paint. In certain lighting and at certain angles, it is almost appears as one color. All glass is in very good condition. Factory split windshield. Factory saw tooth grille in very good condition. Front and rear bumpers are also in very good condition, with bumper guards. Stainless and emblems are in very good shape. It features the Inline straight (6) six cylinder (216 cid) and the (3) speed manual "Three in the tree". The engine has had a complete rebuild, with many new parts, including the glass. Don't miss out on this beautiful collectible Chevy coupe! The Chevrolet Deluxe was introduced late in the 1941 model year as a 4-door sedan. In 1942 a fastback 2-door "aerosedan" became an option. Production was indefinitely delayed in 1942 due to WWII, after 110,000 had been made total, though several thousand Chevrolet coupes and sedans were produced during the war years for military staff use. In late 1945, civilian production resumed. The original series was produced through 1948. A redesigned Deluxe with reduced body contour and integrated rear fenders was offered for the 1949 and 1950 years. Specifications In the 1941/42 model years, the 216cid inline 6 "Blue Flame" engine was the only one offered. It produced 85 horsepower at 3300 rpm. In 1947 output was bumped up to 90 horsepower. A Deluxe of this vintage could easily exceed 80 miles per hour without overdrive. The transmission was a manual synchromesh 3 speed, with vacuum assisted shift, in which the "three-on-the-tree" shifter[2] was able to be moved between gears by the slightest pressure on the lever. Third gear was direct, meaning the input and output are equal speeds. Overdrive was a rare option. Connection to the third member rear-end was via an enclosed "torque tube" driveshaft. The brakes where hydraulic with all-wheel drums. The master cylinder was located beneath the driver. Shock absorbers were of the lever type. The windshield through 1948 was of a split, flat-glass type. The wipers were vacuum actuated. Chevrolet offered windshield washers on some years. Style The exterior sported smooth curves with chrome and stainless trim. The rear bumper had an optional center bumper guard that had to be ratcheted out of the way so the trunk cover could be lifted. Front and rear bumpers had optional chrome "tips", a dress-up item that bolted to the ends of the stock bumper. Although it wasn't a Chevrolet option, a popular after market feature was a large external sunshade that protected the driver from glare off the metal dash board. The interior had cloth bench seats and a metal dash, sometimes with a simulated burl wood grain. The radio was a simple mono vacuum tube type radio with integrated speaker. On the left side of the radio, there was a knob labeled "T" and it operated the throttle, because during startup, it was hard to press both the starter pedal and the accelerator, while keeping the clutch depressed. On the right side was the choke lever. The clock was integrated into the glove compartment door and was of a manual-wind 7-day type. 1949-1952 In 1949, all the Chevrolets got the first new styling after the war. The Deluxe was the brand new upper-end model for Chevy. The cheapest Deluxe was the Deluxe Styleline 6-passenger sedan, costing $1,492.[5] Brakes were 11" drums. It has full instrumentation.[6] The front suspension had stabilizers. In 1950, not much had changed. The front leg room was 42.8 inches. For 1951, there were few styling changes to the outside, though the dash was completely new. The radio was optional at $64.The rear axle had a ratio of 4.11:1. "Okay to call as late as 11:00pm.” (FaceTime available for only serious buyers, since the car is sitting at my storage) Hello, up for sale is a very rare 4-SPEED 1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400. I honestly  haven't owned this too long. When my son and I saw it with a FOR SALE sign on the side of a backwoods road in (Boring, Oregon) we just had to stop out of curiosity. Expecting to see an automatic, our jaws dropped when we saw that it was a 4-SPEED. I personally haven't seen one probably since the 80's. I JUST HAD TO HAVE IT! I would love to restore it, but just don't have the time. Not a money issue, but just a time issue is all. Anyways, I could keep going on and on listing things about it but you really must see it to appreciate just how nice it is. Miles: Odometer shows 19,125 "works," but most likely 119,000 VIN #: 2U87T3N141865 Engine: Not original matching numbers. Has a slightly built Chevy 350 small block. Runs and drives, (see YouTube video link.) Transmission: 4-SPEED manual (Shifts great through all 4 gears and not sloppy at all.) Drivetrains: RWD Exterior: Black, needs paint. One dent on front fender, but not too bad. Has extremely small amount of rust. Interior: Grey carpet and the rest of the interior is black. Carpet and seats are new. Personally, I'd rather have black carpet. FOR YOUR INFORMATION: • Clean Oregon Title in hand. • Good tags until September, 2015. • Spare wheel. • Miscellaneous parts (see pics.) • Floor boards are solid. So is the trunk. • Runs and drives, (see YouTube video link.) • Engine starts up every time with no hesitation. • EXHAUST SYSTEM ALL NEW. (See pics.) • All windows are good with no cracks or rock chips. • Seals and chrome trim are good. • Wheels are not original, but look good and in near new condition still. • Drivers side door lock sticks sometimes. • Everything works on dash beside original tachometer. Most likely it’s just un-hooked. (Aftermarket one installed in working condition) Options: • 4-SPEED • Factory Air-Conditioning car, (not hooked up.) • Front power disc brakes • AM/FM Stereo, (currently not in working condition, UNKNOWN.) • MP3 (Single Disc), (currently not in working condition, UNKNOWN.) • Speakers, (currently not in working condition, UNKNOWN.) • Fitted Car Cover with lock ?
