Speedtech Performance is a SEMA award-winning custom car shop from Canada, that moved to Southern Utah in 2012. Located in a 20,000 square foot full service facility, Speedtech offers over 200 unique manufactured in-house suspension packages and LS/ T-56 swap parts. Speedtech Performance has stayed true to their original goals, most recently taking the Pro-Touring world to an entirely new level through their new line of ExtReme chassis & suspension products. The guys @ Speedtech were itching to create a custom hauler for some time and needed a good excuse to develop some brand new suspension parts for the ‘67-‘72 Chevrolet C10 crowd. This little ’68 C10 wandered into the shop looking like it had had a pretty tough life, and after waiting patiently in the corner for several months the truck finally emerged along with a pretty serious game plan. This truck was built from the ground up entirely by Speedtech Performance’s custom shop. The entire build was documented w/ an extensive volume of photos from day one. Countless man-hours were spent making sure that all of the sheet metal was laser straight and all body panels perfectly aligned. It was painted in single stage Gloss Black, which was color sanded & buffed. The areas in White are a wrap, which can be easily removed at any time if you so choose. Up for sale is a 1970 two wheel drive (conversion) Chevy K-5 Blazer. This beautiful blazer was originally a 4wd but professionally converted at a custom shop in central California. Was purchased in California and is in NorthEastern Arizona.This blazer is rust free and in great shape. Could use some work on the fiberglass top and someone could add a vintage air conditioner as it currently has NO AIR CONDITIONING. I planned on upgrading the current V8 (350) engine to an LS3 and planned on adding the air conditioner back. It came with factory air but it was removed for some reason. The heater core also was deleted and they shaved the firewall. Top ironing, heater and air work and that it!Paint and interior are real decent and it runs and drives great. Bob Bertelsen's '71 Camaro would be great for the car guy's version of this game. There's not a body panel on it that hasn't been re-formed, modified, or otherwise massaged, but most of the changes are so subtle, without a stock example sitting next to it, they escape the eye. That exemplifies what Bob does as a car builder. He works with the original design, and without trepidation, crafts it into the vision of how he sees the car in his mind. Bob is not a professional car builder, although he certainly possesses the ingenuity and capability it takes to be among the best in the business. Most importantly, he lacks that mental block that most of us have-the one that mocks us, saying, "You aren't capable of doing that!" Take, for example, the roof of his Camaro. Bob wanted to integrate design cues of a fifth-gen Camaro into the car, including a 12-inch-wide recess in the roof panel. Most people who don't do professional metal-fab work would shun the idea, and even quite a few pros would be hesitant to launch into such an endeavor. Not Bob. He dove in, starting by rolling two 3/8-inch tubes and adhering them to the roof to create a basic structure and shape. He then cut out the 12-inch-wide section and crafted a new centersection. He didn't get the consistent arch he wanted the first time, so he modified his metal stretcher, welding a socket to the tool and using a torque wrench to modulate a consistent torque applied to the stretcher. He welded the recessed section into the roof for a subtle enhancement that looks so natural that many people don't even notice it. Bob had RPM Hot Rodding do the interior, starting with a clean slate. They fabricated a custom dash, door panels, and console that houses everything Bob will need for performance driving as well as hitting the open road. The unobtrusive rollcage was created by Bob’s friend, Tom McKenzie. That design element continues as the air flows rearward over the decklid. An original spoiler would have looked disproportionate and clunky with the flush and smooth rear panel of the car. Bob created a new spoiler that is 3/4-inch shorter and 1 1/2 inches smaller (front to rear), incorporating the same 12-inch recess from the roof panel into the center of the spoiler. Another critical part of Bob's craftsmanship is functionality. This is true in the basic hardware, and also in the design aspects of the body. All of the ports and ducts carved into the sheetmetal of his Camaro-aptly named Brute Force-perform a purpose, whether it's directing fresh air toward the engine, onto the rear brakes, or exhausting hot air from the engine compartment. Nothing on this car was overlooked, and every millimeter of sheetmetal was intentionally shaped. Even with his exceptional level of fabrication capability, Bob took the Camaro to Area 51 Autoworx when it was time to have the finishing bodywork done and the car sprayed. Choosing the color was an adventure in itself. His local paint store mixed a dozen or so variations of blue and sprayed them onto sample panels, but none of them were exactly what Bob envisioned. So he talked the paint shop into letting him do some mixing on his own. A dash of this, a drop of that. He was able to create a color he loved, but there was no formula for it. He sprayed it onto a panel and took the pieces to BASF. They scanned it and created a formula, complete with the name Brute Force Blue! A casual glance doesn’t uncover the extraordinary craftsmanship in this car. What looks like an RS bumper is actually three completely custom metal sections, and the original marker light openings were filled with round foglights and brake duct inlets. Even the grille was custom created just for this car. Bob is the owner of A-Plus Powder Coaters, so he made generous use of his company's coating capabilities on the car. Anything that wasn't painted on the Camaro was powdercoated in a special gray texture that he created. On some surfaces, such as the valve covers, he added black with orange accents, creating detail and connecting the engine to the exterior graphics. In addition to a unique look, the powdercoating is durable and easy to clean. He even mixed up a special orange powder and sent it to Baer to have the calipers powdercoated to match the detail paint he used throughout the car. Even though this car was primarily built in Bob's two-car home garage, he is quick to acknowledge those who helped him. Shayne Smeltzer, Willys Smith, and Tom McKenzie all spent weekends at Bob's place working on the Camaro. And Jason Rushforth penned the first rendering of the car. Bob and Jason bantered back and forth about many of the design details that make up the overall statement of the car. One area that combined many of their ideas was the nose of the car. Jason recommended recessing the grille and using a three-piece front bumper. Bob created a grille using CAD tools and had it cut using a water jet. He didn't want the nose to look like an RS, though, so he omitted the upper marker lights and integrated round foglights into the rectangular openings that would have housed standard parking and turn signal lights. Some time ago, Bob was incurably infected with the Pro Touring disease. He competed in the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational (OUSCI) with his previous F-body, Code Red, and he took measures with his current project to make sure it lived up to the "brute" in its name. In fact, immediately after the car debuted in the summer of 2012, Bob competed in our inaugural Muscle Car of the Year (MCOTY) competition at National Trail Raceway, a mere day after earning the Goodguys Muscle Machine of the Year award. Since Bob has competed with cars in the past, he knew that he needed to outfit his machine with the right equipment to get the job done. He chose DSE suspension systems front and rear, using the company's Hydroformed subframe up front and its Quadralink kit in the rear. The front subframe is a bolt-in system that mounts tubular upper and lower control arms, C6 steering knuckles, DSE power rack-and-pinion steering, and a DSE splined sway bar into one seamless package. The Quadralink rear system completely replaces the leaf springs, using a tubular four-link setup with a Panhard bar. Bob used JRi coilovers-DSE's preferred unit-at all four corners. Bob also installed a pair of DSE wide wheeltubs in the rear to make room for massive 335/30ZR18 tires. Together, the front and rear DSE systems created a high-performance chassis that's as competent on the track as it is on the street. Of course, suspension upgrades alone do not a Pro Touring car make. The DSE front spindles wear Baer 14-inch rotors and six-piston calipers, while the Moser 9-inch rear axle is outfitted with the relatively new Baer Tracker full-floating axle kit and 14-inch rotors with six-piston calipers. The Baer Tracker converts the rearend to a full-floating design to eliminate axleshaft deflection during hard cornering. This keeps the rotors from pushing the pistons into the calipers during high lateral loads, requiring you to pump the pedal to move the pads back into position. The entire rear view of the Camaro is created by Bob’s fabrication handiwork. He formed a sheetmetal bumper and molded it into the rear panel, along with crafting a lower valance that resembles a fifth-gen Camaro, and incorporates the tailpipes. Under the almost completely handbuilt hood lies a Mast Motorsports-built LS7 powerplant. The Mast-built 427 grunts out 650 hp with a reciprocating assembly made up of Callies and Mahle components that are built to take abuse without worry. The engine uses a Mast dual wide-band engine management system for calibration work. Bob had a Flex-a-lite aluminum radiator built to fit his custom core support, and added a Flex-a-lite dual electric fan setup that moves 4,600 cfm of air to keep the engine cool, even when Bob has the Vintage Air cranked up on hot Midwestern summer days. A Tremec T56 Magnum six-speed connects the power to the Moser 9" axle. When it came to the interior, almost everything was pitched to make room for custom work. This is one part of the car that Bob didn't do himself, calling on RPM Hot Rods in Pittsburgh instead. They crafted a custom dashboard to house the Stack Motorsports multifunction display gauge cluster, Vintage Air controls, and ididit tilt steering column. The dash also holds a Stack tire pressure monitoring system to report air pressure and temperature, both critical factors on a road course. RPM also fabricated custom door panels and replaced the rear seat with panels to cover the widened wheeltubs and to hold a mix of Kenwood and Alpine stereo equipment. ProCar seats were modified and stitched up in gray and orange leather that was also generously laid over every surface in the interior except the floor. Even though RPM did most of the work in the interior, Bob's attention to detail still prevails. He powdercoated the center and spokes of the Lecarra steering wheel, and then had the rim wrapped with the same leather and orange stitching of the rest of the interior. Bob is an ordinary car guy with extraordinary vision and fabrication skills. This is the fourth Camaro he’s built, and each one goes further than the last in performance and execution. While he’s committed to driving and competing in this car for the immediate future, we have to wonder if the wheels are already turning in his head about the next one! In addition to an artfully conceived and executed design, we dare say that there isn't a single component on Bob's Camaro that was taken out of the box and simply installed. We are selling a very nice 1966 Impala real SS convertible. This is the Ebay 'deal' of the week. The vin # tells us it is a real SS and was built in California. This car spent most of its life on the west cost. It spent many years in the state of Washington. We purchased it from a retired couple who owned the car for many years and spent many thousands of dollars going thru just about everything on the car. They gave me a pile of receipts. There is a receipt for almost $4,000 for the rebuild of the 327 V8 eng. I have put up pics here of the dyno paper of it showing 350hp. There is only about 2000 miles on the car since all the restoration work was done. New transmission cooler lines, new master brake cylinder, turned break drums, new pads, new radiator and hoses, new water pump, new fuel pump, new Chrome 120amp Alternator. headers. New shocks, springs, wheel seals, stabilizer bar, bushings, brake hoses, and front end alignment. Updated the transmission to a rebuilt Turbo 350, with Hurst floor shifter. The interior was redone to a great custom look as you can see in the pics. A new convertible top was installed a few years back but still looks great, with no rips or tears. New sound system to include a Alpine AM/FM/CD under dash. The dash was not cut and a wood cover was placed to cover the holes were the original radio was. I do have a radio given to me by the last owner, which I believe to be the original. It goes with the sale. New Eclipse speakers installed in door panels, Eclipse 12 inch speakers installed in the box in trunk and JBL 600 watt amplifier in trunk. All professionally done. The car has a new Flaming River Tilt steering column and new wood SS steering wheel. It just goes on and on. Lots more in receipts. Car shows just over 94,000 miles and we believe them to be correct, but we sell everything exempt and over. The federal law says anything this old is exempt and that is what it says on the current title. It now has a clear Pennsylvania title as the retired couple I bought the car from moved from state of Washington to Pennsylvania . The cars paint is base/clear Gun Metal Gray and shows very nice. The chrome is very nice. Nice tires with very nice set of American Racing wheels. Nice solid car both under and body. May have a miner paint chip, scratch, or imperfection,is not perfect, but could easy win trophy at your local show. Runs and drives great. sounds great. Has that little rumble to it. Super Rare Factory 454SS '73 El Camino Custom There are resto-mods, mild-customs and occasionally something like the Street Beast comes along. It is a thundering 454 cubic-inch V8 equipped 1973 Chevy El Camino SS with the reliable TH400, which took a turn on the wild side a short while back – and was ultimately transformed into a full-fledged street custom. In fact, this street custom with 61,436 miles on the odometer sports a factory-correct 454 engine, according to VIN 1D80Y32455661. It was rebuilt at 59,000 original miles, which included new forged pistons, rods, crank, roller rockers, valves and a mild street cam. It is an over-the-top build using aftermarket aesthetics and performance add-ons – however, it is much more than just another showstopper at the local circuit. The high-performance 454 V8 performs great on the street through the linear rpm band. It is complemented by full-length headers and cooled by a BeCool aluminum four-core radiator with Flex fan and an electric pusher fan (with an aluminum overflow tank). Other goodies include an Edlebrock 1405-polished carburetor with manual choke that mates to an Edlebrock polished RPM manifold, a mild-street cam, Hi-torque starter, electronically controlled cutouts with a dual exhaust system, dual batteries with conversion box, chrome front-control struts, Wilwood master brake cylinder, flamed valve covers and braided stainless lines throughout. An electronically controlled LED lighting package seals the custom theme under the hood. There’s also a custom trailer hitch. The Pete Santini custom paint and body work in a Ford Expedition metallic black finish is especially sweet (completed in January 2015 for $10,000), thanks to an arrow-straight original body and hours of professional prep by Santini, which included molding in a rear roll-pan, a buttoned-down working hood scoop and cool sunken taillights. Underneath the body, reveals a 10-bolt rear-end with an aluminum-fin cover, a standard limit-slip diff, boxed-steel trailing arms with adjustable uppers and a chromoly 4130 rear sway bar. The red and black interior is as dramatic, too. Sporting a stellar combination of classic style and modern performance this awesome coupe wraps a 375 horsepower LS1 Corvette motor, a rock solid T56 6-speed transmission and a track-ready Penske Racing rear end in a custom leather interior and a clean black exterior. If you're one of the many enthusiasts who missed out on our last '55 pro-tourer, here's your chance for redemption! The timeless look of the tri-five Chevys will never go out of style, and the most successful show cars are those which build on the universal appeal of their original design. The goal is to create a custom that's as nice as possible without altering Chevrolet's basic goodness. And in the case of this awesome '55 coupe, that translated to a two year professional frame-off restoration which features superb bodywork and 100% stock sheetmetal. That sheetmetal was topped with a slick coat of black basecoat/clearcoat paint which adds a sinister twist to the car's traditional 50s class; and as hot rodders tend to do, that paint's finish work was carried well beyond anything the factory could have imagined. At first glance, this old-school bowtie looks like a simple black collector car that's been well-preserved and fitted with a new set of wheels. But upon closer inspection, excellent gaps and panel fit combine with paint that is MUCH more robust than any rain beaten survivor to provide a modern dynamic which original 50s luster simply can't touch. In a victorious attempt to appeal to a younger audience, Chevrolet gave the '55 Bel Air Ferrari-inspired detailing which has become some of the most beloved 'car art' of the past 60 years. Up front, a trademark body-width Bel Air bumper rides below a pristine stainless grille, clear parking lights and modern tri-bar headlights that are lined in traditional chrome trim. At the top of that grille, a factory fresh Chevrolet crest is centered below a new 'jetbird' hood ornament which looks fantastic against the car's shiny black paint. At the back of that hood, smoked glass sits inside of new stainless windshield trim, bright stainless wipers and a trick driver's side mirror. On the sides of the car, factory optioned front fender trim accents sharp fender lines, and straight stainless quarter spears are highlighted by bright white paint and pristine chrome "Bel Air" scripts. Behind that trim, crystal clear LED tail lights hang over small chrome Chevrolet emblems. And at the back of the car, a second body-width bumper hangs between a second pristine Chevrolet crest and great looking stainless exhaust tips. Take a peek under this car's smooth, rolled hood and you'll find a stout 5.7 liter LS1 Corvette V8 which produces a solid 375 horsepower. Straight from GM, this fully-sorted package combines a sturdy aluminum block with lightweight aluminum heads, coil-near-plug ignition and aluminum flat top pistons to create razor sharp throttle response and a torque band that's as wide as Texas. At the front of the engine a modern serpentine system, which is complete with a full set of chrome pulleys and polished brackets, spins a chrome alternator and a chrome AC compressor at the sides of a chrome air cleaner that's equipped with a fresh re-usable filter element. Once air enters that filter, it flows through a factory LS1 throttle body into a factory LS1 intake which is bolted down over completely stock internals. High octane fossils are provided by a GM electronic fuel injection system. Sparks are sequenced through high performance MSD plug wires. Spent gases are whisked away by a slick pair of ceramic coated shorty headers. And cooling comes courtesy of a polished Griffin cross-flow radiator that's complete with corrugated hoses, a polished overflow tank, a chrome bowtie branded cap and a large electric puller fan. Not a detail has been missed under this Bel Air's fully finished hood. Niceties such as a chrome brake booster and master cylinder, polished hood hardware, braided hoses and trick braided dipsticks add just the right amount of flash and detail to make people stop and take notice. And the car's glossy engine compartment combines with the LS1's clean silver casting to provide a natural contrast which oozes performance appeal. The '55 Chevrolet is an extremely solid platform that is still being enjoyed to this day; and one look underneath this Bel Air shows a fully restored, 57 year old chassis that has stood the test of time exceptionally well. During the restoration, the car's straight frame was covered in a slick coat of Charcoal Gray urethane and fitted with new stainless hardware. Above that frame, solid floors have been coated in thick black undercoating for added durability; and in the middle of that frame, a proven Borg Warner T56 6-speed transmission easily handles anything the stout small block V8 throws its way. Behind that transmission, pocketed leaf springs, Caltracs style traction bars and wide mini-tubs frame a new Penske Racing Ford nine inch nodular rear end that's equipped with both a Penske stamp and 3.45 gears. And in front of that transmission, Charcoal Gray double A-arms frame a modern power rack and pinion steering system. The car's handling is enhanced by a five inch drop that eschews a rough ride thanks to four fresh Monroe Sensa Trac shocks. Stops are provided by a power four wheel disc system which utilizes big Wilwood calipers to squeeze equally large rotors. Exhaust is handled by an aluminized true dual system which features two fresh turbo mufflers and two rear mounted stainless tips. Grip comes courtesy of sticky 225/45ZR17 front and 275/35ZR18 rear BF Goodrich G-Force Sport radials which rotate around slick Billet Specialties Fast Lane wheels. And everything from this double nickel's new stainless brake lines to its Rockport stainless fuel tank is fully-sorted and exceptionally well-done. Inside the car, traditional Bel Air style has been augmented by a high level of customization and a close attention to detail. Front and center you'll find custom power front bucket and rear bench seats which wear a striking combination of gray leather, red accents and polished trim. Overhead there's a pliable suede headliner that's propped up by a traditional courtesy lamp and a chrome rearview mirror; and at the floor, upscale gray carpet rides beneath a combination of color-keyed carpet and heavy duty rubber floor mats. In front of the seats, a painted silver dash hangs pristine billet trim, a re-imagined Bel Air clock and speaker combo and satin-faced Classic Instruments gauges above controls for the car's Vintage Air climate system and a custom, leather wrapped vent panel. At the sides of the seats, custom leather door panels look great behind custom leather armrests, bright silver toppers and a full set of Billet Specialties door hardware. And between the seats, a custom, leather wrapped console anchors a remote controlled Pioneer Premier CD player between a custom booted shifter, a padded storage compartment and stylish courtesy lights. In front of the driver, a polished and leather rimmed steering wheel spins around a chrome tilt steering column that's complete with a full set of billet stalks. And behind the cockpit, a custom leather package tray hangs two large Alpine speakers above a hidden Alpine amplifier and a custom upholstered trunk.
