1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Pro touring, one of the finest Pro touring car available for sale, Only 400 Miles since professionally built. Starting with an original 1957 Chevrolet bel Air that was purchased in Chino California the car was a rust free example that spent many years in the garage of the seller it was purchased for $20,000. The car was disassembled and the body was Soda Blasted using a frame rotisserie, I have a complete set of photos of the car of the build and work performed in the one year full time project. Every steel panel was checked for straightness prior to prepping and painting the car, any minor issues were addressed to get the panels’ laser straight. This car was painted with all panels being painted individually and off the car to insure the best possible coverage and quality. This can be seen in the prep photos of the car. The exterior color of the car is a custom House of Colors Candy Brandy Wine that really pops under the sun. There were six passes of color and six passes of clear, the paint is award winning but this 57 has never been shown the paint and prep was over $35000. The complete exterior stainless trim is all New, Window frames, Bumpers, grill, and all bright work as well as all glass and weather-stripping being new or re plated to the highest standards. All panel fit throughout the car has been properly measured and all gaps are perfect. Front and rear bumpers are smooth with all of the bolt heads being ground off, then the bumpers were tucked into the body. The car sits on a New Art Morrison engineering chassis, this chassis has been painted to the same color of the body, color sanded and buffed to give the cars upgraded chassis the same luster as the top of the car. The latest Kugel front end has been fully polished and has the upgraded larger 13inch 6 piston brake set up, most of the cars built carry the 4 piston set up, the rear is also done in Show Quality by Kugel the best that they offer with Dual side matching shocks that are fully polished and has adjustable dampening the rear also has inboard brakes and the optional E brake again everything show quality. The Wheels are custom one off 18x8 inch up front and 20x10 inch rear. The hand built aluminum gas tank has been fully polished and carries a slight tapering wedge design so you don’t see it hanging when looking at the car from the rear it gives the car much cleaner look. The underside is fully polished, painted to the body color and detailed throughout. The power plant is a Chevrolet LS2 create motor that is NEW, it also has been painted to match the car and carries polished billet pulleys throughout, A custom hand built Aluminum radiator and Condenser and billet hood hinges, The fire wall has been smoothed, Stainless custom Sanderson headers feed into a hand bent dual exhaust using polished Dyna Max mufflers, This exhaust was hand built not an off the shelf unit from the header to the tailpipe. There is also an aluminum drive shaft. The transmission is an electronic L480E. The rear end gears are 3:73, the car also carries strange Axles.
