Offering my 1966 El Camino 396 A/T for sale. BIN price is for the vehicle completed (hopefully by Christmas), or you can purchase it as-is for $30K, or anywhere in between for a negotiated amount. Here are some details to get you started: This car was built in December of 1965 in Fremont California and was delivered to Willows, Ca when new. I purchased it from the second owner, also in Willows, in 1990. It was very stock and original and virtually rust-free, with 66K miles on it at that time. Driven to roughly 74K miles before being disassembled. As with many others, what basically started out as a “Let’s just paint the exterior” type of project turned into a body-off-frame effort. My intent was never for it to be flawless show quality trailer queen, more of a flashy cool car to cruise and enjoy, and it ended up coming out pretty nice overall. Here’s the basic OEM info on the car: 1966 Custom El Camino / 13680 KK / Artesian Turquoise 710 / Two-tone Fawn interior – bench seat L34 / 396/325 HP M35 / A/T – column shift - originally Powerglide (now Turbo 400) STD / 3.07 NON-posi 12 bolt rear diff N10 / dual exhaust A01 / Tinted glass - all N33 / Tilt Steering Column N40 / Power Steering J50 / Power Brakes K19 / A.I.R. (Air Injection Reactor = Ca smog) Z19 / Convenience group: lights, remote mirror (removed by second owner) U14 / instrument panel gauge package with Tachometer ??? / dash mounted bullet clock U63 / AM pushbutton radio G66 / Factory air shocks A39 / Deluxe seat belts V74 / Hazard warning switch Runs very well, but so far has only been driven around my property while sitting on a box. Engine was properly broken in, starts right up, choke works great, thermostat functions properly, etc. Let’s start with the bad news: Back in the 90’s I brought the born-with engine to a machine shop for a rebuild, along with several other big blocks I was working on at the time. I typically had blocks decked on my Hipo engine builds, and they accidentally decked this engine even though they weren’t supposed to. Because of that mistake, I pulled all my engine projects from their shop and never used them again. This project was then put on a back-burner for many years. So just for clarity, the block in the car is the original born-with engine block, but has no numbers on the pad due to being decked. I do have the codes from the POP, and maybe even a penciled impression of the original stamp somewhere in my files, but I’m not a fan of re-stamps and preferred to leave the pad blank instead. Most all the other components under the hood are born-with original as well: heads, intake manifold, carb, distributor, air cleaner base, complete smog system (including hoses), exhaust manifolds, all pulleys and brackets, alternator, starter motor, complete P/S assembly, master cylinder, fan shroud, etc. Non original under-hood items: water pump (generic replacement), radiator, power brake booster (I have the unrestored original), valve covers and air cleaner lid (I have the originals, need to be re-chromed), 7 blade fan and clutch assembly (I have the original 4 blade fan), front end wire harnesses (new repro). I replaced the original two-speed Powerglide with a three-speed Turbo 400 (which coincidentally was from a 1966 truck). The T400 was not offered in the Chevelle/El Camino until 1967, but I prefer them to the P/G. I acquired OEM 1967 column shift linkage assembly, kick-down switch and bracket assembly, rear trans housing and driveshaft yoke, etc. in order to make this a clean OEM looking and functioning installation. Original body panels, except RF fender replaced by 2nd owner, LF fender replaced by me during resto (original had a tough dent to straighten on the front body line/nose, and I had a much nicer straight OEM fender to use), and the front below-grill valance panel. Reproduction dual exhaust system with the correct staggered rear exhaust exits – it’s a bit too quiet for my taste. Wheels are OEM 1969 Camaro SS 14 X 7 YJ rallys with Tiger Paw radials. I will credit the buyer $500 if I can keep the four wheels and tires (in case you already own or prefer something else). This car was built with a large quantity of inspection paint marks all over the place. I duplicated a handful, but stopped short of making it a circus car. I have pictures of most of the OEM marks in case you wish to reproduce them yourself… What’s left to do: Install the new tinted windshield and rear glass (on hand), and trim (have all new repro trim, as well as the unrestored original trim). Finish the interior installation – glue down carpet, gas pedal, seat belts, kick panels (need to be painted first), sill plates, steam the new headliner to remove some small wrinkles, bench seat needs to be recovered and installed (I have the new upholstery and new seat foam), spare tire and jack assembly. A few troubleshooting tidbits I haven’t got to yet – slow air shock leak, very small drip from P/S pump (I think it’s the pump to housing O-ring), AM radio died (after installation, of course). Paint (blackout) the bottom of the hood, front end alignment, headlight alignment, verify speedo calibration at higher speeds. Paint the spare wheel and jack assembly, install a tire, etc. Touch up the paint on some suspension items. Finish restoring the original Ca black plates. Probably a few more minor items I am not currently thinking of…. A little car history: The POP shows Harold Hendrickson as the original owner, being first sold on Dec 30, 1965, in Willows, Ca. He was actually one of the guys who pioneered fighting fires with aircraft, by retrofitting an old WWII airplane with some water tanks. Way back when, I tried to track him down but he had already passed away so I gave up that effort. On a research whim earlier this year, I thought maybe he had some children I could find who might remember this car and would have some stories to tell. Tracked down his son, Gary (who’s now into his seventies) up in the same area. Turns out Gary was actually the original owner of this El Camino, and dad Harold’s name was most likely just used for financing purposes. It will be 50 years ago this December he first got the car, and I promised him pics of it when it was done. He doesn’t do computers, so I need to print some photos and send them to him. He’s a vintage aviation guy just like his dad, with many WWII planes on his roster, and quite a few old cars to boot. Still drives his 1971 Ranchero that he bought new…. Regrets: If I knew this car was going to turn out so nice, I would have had the body shop spend a little more time on straightening out the bottom of the bed and lower rear cab area. My plan was always to install a rubber bed mat and add a tonneau cover, but now wish they put the extra effort in those areas to make the car even nicer. Please email me with your questions, and we can go from there. I’m not interested in any trades, nor any offers for others to help me sell my car.

Yes, that's right, this 'lil hauler has the legendary L79 under it hood, and a Muncie four-speed...And you thought you were just attracted to this one because of its good looks. This is really the holy grail El Camino. This hot '67 is only one of five L79 El Caminos currently listed in the National L79 Registry, and this one is truly the prize. It was sold new in Oregon and spent nearly 45 years in that area, with all of its original components. Then in 2012 this Chevy was given a complete frame off restoration from the ground up. That's why the bodywork looks straighter than even any Tuesday car that came out of the Fremont, California facility. On top of that is fresh paint that takes GM's iconic shade of Marina Blue, but gives it a much more modern and deep shine than the factory ever could. Even the truck bed shines with a look-at-me quality. This transformation back to factory fresh would not be compete without the chrome and stainless trim being in immaculate condition, on everything from the wide grille, to the ribbed rear end that can make a tailgate still look like a Chevelle. The final touch gives you a nice choice between large Torq Thrust style wheels, on modern low-profile tires, or original-style painted steel wheels with bright bow-tie hubcaps and Firestone Wide Oval redline tires this El Camino comes with both! The moment you open the door, you'll swear it's 1967, and that's for a very good reason. The complete restoration included putting the factory interior back to original spec. The black vinyl bench has the kind of cushioning that feels like no one else ever sat here before. The wood-rimmed sports steering wheel feels ready to be warn-in by a loving caretaker. Even the heat/defrost controls glide with ease. It has the kind of atmosphere that you know you'll love resting your right hand on the shifter and watching the needle rapidly climb on the extra wide speedometer. As we've mentioned before under the hood is the numbers-matching, ER code, L79 327 cubic-inch V8 motor. But it's not just the block that's correct in this exceptionally clean engine bay. That's the original Holley 3806 carburetor sitting on top of a Winters intake that feeds factory-spec 462 heads. Are you starting to get the picture on this one? This El Camino has one of those legendary factory underrated engines with an advertised 325 horsepower. It was a feared package even by the big blocks in the 60s, and today it's a sought-after collectable that offers a wicked exhaust rumble. It only gets better with the original Muncie four-speed manual transmission, backed up by a factory-installed 12-bolt Positraction rear end running a versatile 3.55 ratio. As expected with this level of restoration, the suspension has also been rebuilt correctly, including Saginaw steering gear, and rebuilt drum brakes with boxed control arms, and correct spiral shocks. Now you can be confident in driving this classic even with its pristine original appearance. In a cared for car like this, it should be no surprise that it comes with plenty of documentation such as the original warranty card, owner's manual, and plenty of restoration receipts. There is so much more to this amazing and rare El Camino that we don't have the space to write it all, but we'll be happy to take the time to tell you all about it. Give us a call now before someone else snags this El Camino of your dreams!! 1967 Chevrolet El Camino for Sale 1967 Chevrolet El Camino for Sale Stock # 3223-CHA Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC 28269 Local/International: (704) 598-2130 Toll-Free: (866) 542-8392 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Atlanta Showroom 213 Thornton Rd Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Local/International: (678) 279-1609 Toll-Free: (877) 367-1835 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom 5400 Sandshell Dr Fort Worth, TX 76137 Local/International: (817) 764-8000 Toll-Free: (855) 877-2707 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM CST Sat: 9AM - 5PM CST Email: [email protected] Tampa Showroom 4610 Pet Lane Lutz, FL 33559 Local/International: (813) 501-1630 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] TERMS OF SALE 1. 1967 Chevy C20 3/4-TonNew Engine and New Transmission with Less than 100 miles So here's the story. Whether you need a reliable tow vehicle, or just something fun for daily driving, there’s other aspects of this satin charcoal grey and black ¾-ton 1967 Chevrolet C20 (VIN #CE247Z137028) that will blow your socks off. As I mentioned, it sports a brand new 350 cubic-inch, 375 horsepower small-block engine and a new TH-350 transmission with a new shift kit for optimum drivability. Best of all, this ‘67 features the desirable Posi-Traction rear end for maximum performance and it is a California-built truck from the Chevrolet plant in Fremont. You get the best of all worlds. Beautifully restored classic look with a brand new, powerful engine and transmission. The classic car experts at Family Service Center in San Juan Capistrano, California recently went over this classic in great detail. They replaced the carrier bearing and tackled the entire braking system, including replacing the master cylinder, lines, shoes, springs, wheel cylinders. All fluids were also changed. Family also replaced the alternator, all under hood hoses and engine wiring, and installed a new billet HEI distributor with 10.5 wires. Under the hood, the Chevy 350 V8 features a new Edlebrock carburetor (with electric choke) and dress-up kit, new headers and new Flowmaster dual exhaust with a crossover. All engine and transmission mounts are new. The suspension has been lowered three inches up front and two inches in the rear and sports new chrome Incubus 20 x8-inch wheels all around wrapped in fresh Hankook tires. The interior is clean with new black carpeting, and a Grant GT steering wheel. The bench seat is comfortable and firm with in a neutral colored fabric. The steel door panels are in wonderful condition as are all the door and window handles. The body is straight with no dents, scrapes or signs of rust, and the two-tone exterior paint scheme is incredible, even the engine bay paint looks amazing. The bed has a fresh spray-on black liner to prevent metal fatigue from water or equipment. It drives great with ample passing power for those steep grades. Never overheats and rides smoothly. The new transmission allows for smooth shifts between gears. Keep in mind, this truck with this rear window is rare! Chevy only make it in 1967. You will definitely have a special ride when you take home this baby! Here’s a powerful two-wheel drive C20 that needs nothing, except to be driven and enjoyed, especially for those that love the great outdoors with friends and family. About Factory Correct Cars offered by BlueChip Motorcars BlueChip Motorcars periodically offers classic cars that may be listed as Factory Correct, or Numbers Matching. Because there are many opinions about the term(s) used to describe these types of listings, allow us to explain how BlueChip Motorcars comes to that assessment. As you may know, depending on the source, the term “matching numbers, or factory correct,” may mean many things to many people. Purists might define it as a car with every possible window crank, dash knob or even every nut and bolt is original to the car from the time it left the production line. Although some classic cars do exist in that rare condition, most do not. The majority of classic cars on the market were at some point in their ownership, restored or repaired with NOS parts (new old stock) or licensed reproduction parts. Whenever the information is available to us about the use of these parts, BlueChip Motorcars will gladly pass it along to the potential buyer. BlueChip Motorcars uses the term Factory Correct or Numbers Matching only to distinguish a vehicle where the engine casting code corresponds with the VIN and Cowl Tag code. If these codes tell the same story about the car in question, BlueChip Motorcars then considers it to be a Factory Correct or Numbers Matching vehicle. However, unless otherwise stated, the transmission, rear end, and transmission may or may not be original to the car. BlueChip Motorcars welcomes all potential buyers to verify all the information with a qualified expert. We would be happy to email you all the numbers that are obtainable on any vehicle where the term Factory Correct or Matching Numbers is used.

Asingle chrome bar connected quad headlights, and a slotted bumper held theparking lights. New round instrument pods replaced the former linear layout. For the first time, the Chevrolet 350 V8 was used in an El Camino. The SuperSport group included a 265- or 325-horsepower 396-cubic-inch V8 beneath adouble-domed hood, along with a black-out grille displaying an SS emblem. Eventually, thanks to GM's continuous improvement and consumer's continuous support, the marque became one of the strongest brands in automotive history. And at one point, with a full list of body styles, options, trim grades, color combinations, and mild to outrageous engines, the challenge became picking a platform which optimized variety and livability. Whoever checked the options sheet for this investment grade 1966 Super Sport probably came as close as you can get to having it all. Its original big block 396 V8 is a go-to heavyweight for both stoplight brawlers and drag strip warriors. Its correct Muncie 4-speed transmission is as spirited as it is reliable. And its super slick Marina Blue on black color combination literally defines the word classic. If you're in the market for a top notch example of one of the best Chevrolets ever produced, this national award winner is just the car you've been looking for! As Chevelle enthusiasts, we all know it can be very hard to prove the authenticity of Chevrolet's most famous muscle car. Fortunately the record keepers won a small victory in 1966 and every one of Chevrolet's coveted SS396 cars received a specially sequenced vehicle identification number. Here's a breakdown of this real deal Super Sport's factory VIN plate:1: Chevrolet38: SS396, 8-cylinder17: 2-door sport coupe6: 1966 model yearZ: Manufactured on GM's Fremont, California assembly line104519: Production sequence number Born at GM's storied, and still somewhat operational, Fremont Assembly, this awesome '66 Chevelle hardtop is the recent beneficiary of a nut and bolt rotisserie restoration that massaged every square inch of its sculpted metal into concours show condition. The car's frame-off transformation began when long-time Chevelle buff Jim Germann completely acid dipped its solid body in preparation for some minor rust repair. Once that body re-emerged and air cured, Jim bolted up a new hood, welded in a new trunk pan and blended a few small patches below its rear window and at the bottom of its right quarter panel. Eventually, with the car patched, prepped and ready to go, the world class technicians at Wooding's Auto Body in Roanoke, Virginia seamed a thick coat of primer with POR 15 rust inhibitor and sprayed a spectacular coat of correct GM code F Marina Blue paint under a glossy clearcoat shell. And today, this top notch Chevelle is as a spectacular muscle car which combines the best aspects of big block Chevrolet performance with the gratuitous fun and old school style that only a classic can provide! When it comes to classic cars a lot of people simply don't understand the true meaning of the word "concours". Make no mistake, in this context the word does indeed still refer to the assembly of a bunch of different elements. However, that traditional meaning is augmented by the added significance of both "original" and "perfect"; as in, getting the car as close to original and perfect as humanly possible. That means the significance of a showpiece like this Chevelle, which has had all its original trim fully restored or replaced with true NOS pieces, cannot be taken lightly. At the front of this bright blue trophy winner you'll find a black, body-width grille which hangs a fresh and prominent "SS396" emblem between small AACA plaques, four halogen headlights and an original, re-chromed bumper. At the top of the car, a pristine Super Sport hood props a chrome center spear and chrome SS396 louvers in front of all new glass that's framed by dent-free stainless trim, cleared by familiar stainless wipers and capped by fresh stainless drip rails. At the sides of the car ribbed rocker guards, fade-free fender trim and obligatory chrome door handles combine with detailed cross-flag emblems, a correct chrome mirror and monochromatic "Super Sport" scripts to detail a tasteful, conservative profile. And at the back of the car, a traditional black valence centers a wide-set "CHEVELLE" script between a second "SS396" emblem, crystal clear tail lights and a second re-chromed bumper. If you wanted a top of the line Chevelle in 1966 you had one option: 396 cubic inches of big block Detroit iron! Rolling out of the factory with stout 10.25 to 1 compression, an impressive 325 horsepower and a massive 410 lb./ft. of torque, this Super Sport's original L35 V8 wears a correct "EH" suffix stamp and a matching 104519 partial VIN in front of a correct 3855961 casting number. At the top of that big engine, oxygen is forced into a fully detailed single snorkel air cleaner which rides on an old school 4-barrel carburetor and a cast iron intake manifold. At the sides of that intake spotless chrome valve covers reflect fresh Packard Radio TVRS wires above correct heads and fully restored exhaust manifolds. At the back of those valve covers, a reproduction points distributor rides between a rebuilt wiper motor, an NOS GM coil and a rebuilt and re-plated power brake booster. At the opposite end of the engine bay a re-cored radiator sends coolant around a shrouded, 4-blade fan via reproduction GM hoses and a full set of tower clamps. And at the side of that radiator, spark is supplied by a reproduction Delco battery which is spliced into to all new wiring and all new harnesses. Naturally the car's satin black engine bay, which consists of powder coated NOS fenders and a powder coated NOS core support, is 100% correct and looks great. Its Chevy Orange block, which has been bored .030 over and fitted with stock valve seats, still features original California smog equipment that adds both value and collectability. And everything from the car's rebuilt, original horns to its powder coated brackets and powder coated pulleys displays the kind of excellent attention to detail that ensures both big points and great performance. Underneath this rock solid A-Body 'better-than-new' is the prevalent theme with freshly over-restored floors, which are covered in a super slick coat of gloss black paint, hanging over a spotless and highly detailed chassis. Behind the car's stout big block a correct Muncie M20 4-speed transmission sends power from an 11 inch clutch and a polished 11 inch bellhousing to a rebuilt 12 bolt Posi-traction rear end that's equipped with easy driving 3.31 gears. Holding that killer drivetrain off the ground is a completely restored factory suspension that's been thoroughly sandblasted and layered in a durable coat of epoxy paint. And correct power steering combines with correct, and fully rebuilt, power drum brakes to provide greatly improved turns and modern car stops. At the center of the floors, the big engine's restored manifolds dump spent gases into an aluminized true dual exhaust system that's complete with factory replacement turbo mufflers. At the corners of the floors, rare 14 inch steel wheels spin 7.75-14 BF Goodrich Silvertown redlines around pristine dog dish hubcaps. And naturally the bottom of this first class Chevelle is as pristine as it is spotless, with everything from the car's new stainless fuel tank to its correct spiral shocks completely detailed for both show and go! Pop this Super Sport's sculpted doors open and you'll find a correct GM code 763 black imitation leather interior which is, for the most part, exactly how it rolled out of the factory. The car's correct front bucket and rear bench seats, which were rebuilt with fresh foam, wrapped in new seat covers and bolted to freshly powder coated brackets, show virtually no wear at all. In front of those seats a warp-free dash hangs rebuilt gauges and a correct Delco AM/FM radio above a rebuilt tachometer and a slick pair of NOS kick panels. Below that dash a great looking console frames a chrome floor shifter and a correct clock in pristine stainless trim. And below that console, like-new carpet perfectly complements a complete set of NOS Fisher lap belts. In front of the driver, an original GM steering wheel and an NOS rearview mirror provide an authentic motoring experience. At the sides of the cockpit, fade-free black door panels center pristine stainless trim and new chrome handles around straight and pliable armrests. And behind the passengers, an optional rear speaker tops a fully restored trunk that includes a correct mat, a full-size spare tire and correct decklid decals. Naturally after Jim Germann finished building it, and Wooding's Auto Body finished slicking it up, this pristine Chevrolet muscle car hit the show circuit and scored many national awards. The car's long list of prestigious accolades includes:AACA Senior Grand National winner at the 2008 Grand National Meet in Melbourne, FloridaAACA Preservation winner at the 2008 Grand National Meet in Melbourne, FloridaAACA Preservation winner at the 2008 Southeastern Division Nationals in Charlotte, North CarolinaAACA Senior Grand National winner at the 2007 Grand National Meet in Kalamazoo, MichiganAACA Preservation winner at the 2006 Southeastern Division Nationals in Asheville, North CarolinaAACA Preservation winner at the 2006 Eastern Division Nationals in Hershey, PennsylvaniaAACA Preservation winner at the 2005 Eastern Division Nationals in Greensburg, PennsylvaniaAACA Preservation winner at the 2005 Southeastern Division Nationals in Jeffersonville, IndianaAACA Preservation winner at the 2005 Southeastern Division Nationals in Roanoke, VirginiaAACA Preservation winner at the 2005 Central Division Nationals in Warren, OhioAACA Preservation winner at the 2004 Southeastern Division Nationals in Asheboro, North CarolinaAACA Preservation winner at the 2004 Grand National Meet in Buffalo, New YorkAACA First Senior winner at the 2003 Eastern Division Nationals in Carlisle, PennsylvaniaAACA First Junior winner at the 2003 Southeastern Division Nationals in Greenville, South Carolina2007 Goodguys Muscle Car of the Year Finalist The sale of this awesome Chevelle includes a reproduction owner's manual, copies of the car's two previous titles and a 2007 Goodguys Gazette in which it's showcased as a Muscle Car of The Year finalist. THANK YOU.1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Custom w/ 600HP -- $43,900.00Introduction Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro the owner of MS CLASSIC CARS,LLC. You might recognize my name or my business name from beautiful classic cars and trucks I’ve listed for sale nationally. I’ve got over 15 years of classic car and truck experience. I’d like to put that experience to work for you. Over the years I’ve featured many classic cars and trucks at multiple different auctions across the United States. I consign multiple classic cars and trucks at all four of the Barrett Jackson auto auctions every year. I’m considered one of the top consignors at Barrett Jackson. I’ve had many classic cars and trucks sell in the top 25 highest sale priced vehicles for each event. They’ve also offered some of my cars as the “Marc Schiliro Collection”. I was fortunate to have Speed TV at my new facility for an interview for Barrett Jackson that aired during the Barrett Jackson auto auction in Palm Beach 2012. I’m a regular consignor at the Mecum auctions as well. I also have had many cars that have been featured in multiple magazines and multiple websites. I specialize in beautiful classic cars and trucks that have what I call “The Pop Factor”. I purchase classic cars and trucks that are finished, I redesign other people’s restorations and have also coordinated restorations from start to finish. I’m currently not doing full restorations as it takes too much time and money. I love what I do and I’m extremely passionate about it! Two years ago I opened a beautiful new facility located in Seekonk, MA. MS CLASSIC CARS is open to the public on Saturdays. We offer about 25 classic cars and trucks for sale. We also offer complete automotive detailing. Our facility is very neat and organized. When you call you deal directly with me. I appreciate the opportunity. We except all trades. If you’d like to be added to our VIP EMAIL BLAST that gets sent to thousands of people when we get a new addition please visit my website and sign up. Please also like us on Facebook for updates. The power of networking is amazing! Market I've been collecting classic cars and trucks for over fifteen years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only at the auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially the classics! I've learned it's not just the United States; it’s the entire world. Barrett Jackson stated, "Foreigners can sometimes represent 25% of the registered bidders at one of our auctions." At the Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ 2011 they stated, "There was a registered bidder from every state in the USA.” I've also learned that no matter the gender or age, all different people appreciate this hobby. Another example would be the Barrett Jackson auto auctions; not only do millions of people watch it live on the Speed Channel but hundreds of thousands of people attend these auctions. Every year the attendance of visitors at the event and number of viewers on T.V. increase. Over the years I've noticed that the extremely detailed classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Currently the overall market is on the raise once again. Certain classic cars are on the rise and others are on the decline. Typically, the classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people don't own. In other words, there are classic cars that haven't saturated the market. The cars that are at every car show and auction and page on the Internet for sale are the ones that aren't changing in value or are slowly on the decline. Of course, if the car is spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. It's all about supply and demand, not a good or bad economy. Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character. “I’m putting my money where my mouth is” I’m just a 38 year old blue collar guy who was working full time selling new and used Mercedes Benz. I was selling my classic cars and trucks part time. Although I had my used car dealers license I didn’t have a facility that was open to the public. Overall things were going just fine. However, my dream was to open my own classic car and truck dealership. I decided to give up my full time job with health insurance and a 401K to open a new classic and truck dealership. I had to invest a ton of money to make that happen and now have a lot more overhead. Do you think I would’ve done all that if I didn’t think the classic car and truck market wasn’t going to remain strong? I consign anywhere from three to eight cars at each Barrett Jackson auto auction at no reserve because I know there’s always going to be bidders for classic cars and trucks. Short Description1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Custom w/ 600HP “The Incredible Hulk” This car was built in Fremont, CA as a real SS 396 as both the VIN number and trim tag indicates! It was originally painted rare Grecian Green and had black bucket seats as the trim tag also indicates! This car has been completely restored from top to bottom very low mileage since! From what I’ve gathered and researched it retains all or mostly all of the original sheet metal. The body is straight and the gaps are tight. The hood, doors and trunk open and close as tight as a bank vault! The exterior was painted in its original rare Grecian Green color. This color is beautiful and gets a lot of compliments. The paint is very nice and worthy of calling it show quality! Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced such as the glass, stainless trim, bumpers, lights, emblems, etc! The car is wrapped in new American 15” Torque Thrust wheels with 225/70/15 Copper Cobra front tires and 275/60/15 Nitto Extreme Drag rear tires. This car has a mean stance! The black interior is beautiful and in great overall condition. This car originally came with a black interior with bucket seats when it left the factory! Everything in the interior has been restored or replaced including such items as the dash, seat covers, door panels, carpet, headliner, etc. It has very tasteful black and silver Autometer Gauges with white LED background lights, Billet matte black steering wheel, Hurst pistol grip shifter and a Rockford Fosgate Ipod setup and Image Dynamics speakers! The engine compartment is nicely detailed and home to the massive 496 engine with 600HP! The engine in this beast was built with no expense spared and was dyno tested at 589HP before my shop changed the cam and retuned it. Now it’s probably over 600HP! It runs on normal high octane pump gas with no issues. Some of the engine upgrades include such items as Dart aluminum heads, Comp cam, PBM Hyd lifters and HD balancer, Edlebrock polished intake and aluminum timing cover, Holley High Performance street 750CFM carburetor and fuel pump, Chevrolet polished valve covers and air cleaner, chrome alternator, MSD ignition, polished pulleys and Optima red top battery! The engine breathes through Hooker Super Competition ceramic headers with Flow Master mufflers! The engine is coupled with a Richmond 5-speed transmission with overdrive. It has a Hurst shifter with pistol grip. This is one of the best transmissions on the market and very expensive. The power is put to the pavement through a built 12 bolt rear end with POSI traction! Power Steering and Power brakes with front disc setup! The trunk compartment is painted with a slight gloss finish and home to the spare tire! The undercarriage is also nicely detailed with satin black floors. Everything underneath this car has been restored or replaced. It has QA1 adjustable shocks! “The 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle was the first year for the new Chevelle design which is one of the most recognized muscle cars of all time. In 1968 the VIN number still indicated if the car was a SS model. They changed this in 1969 forward which makes it very hard to know what Chevelles were real SS cars from the factory. The body on this car is very solid and the doors open and close like a safe. This car left the factory in rare Grecian Green which it’s painted today. The car also left the factory with black bucket seats which it still retains today. The interior has tasteful upgrades. The heart of this beast is a built 496 with 600HP! It has the Dyno sheet to prove it. It’s been so dialed in by my shop it starts and runs like a small block. Yes, it runs on pump gas. I’ve collected and sold many muscle cars over the years and this is one of the fastest. The Richmond 5-speed transmission with overdrive is great. I would challenge anyone to find a 1968-1972 Chevelle that has everything this car has to offer in this price range. Good luck with that. Get it before some else does!” Marc Schiliro – “The Owner” Long Description MS CLASSIC CARS is proud to present a beautiful 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Custom w/600HP! AKA: “The Incredible Hulk”. Attention Chevelle Enthusiasts! You’re about to witness one mean street machine that is ready for the pavement. As my website indicates I’ve collected and sold many beautiful Chevelles. Matter of fact, they’re one of my favorite classic cars of all time. My second classic car was a 1969 Chevelle and ever since I’ve been hooked. This is my first 1968 Chevelle and I’m very excited about it for multiple reasons which I’m listing below. This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle was built in Fremont, California as the VIN number and the trim tag indicate. It is a true SS 396 car as the VIN number and trim tag also indicate. Unfortunately there are a lot of fake muscle cars being advertised on the market for sale. At least with this car you know 100% it was a true SS car when it left the factory new. This car was painted a very rare and beautiful color called Grecian Green as the trim tag indicates. During the restoration process it was painted in its original color which I think is very cool. How many Chevelles have you seen in this color? This car has been completely restored from top to bottom very low mileage since. From what I’ve gathered and researched it retains all or mostly all of the original sheet metal. The body is straight and the gaps are tight. The hood, doors and trunk open and close as tight as a bank vault! The exterior color shines beautifully especially in the sun and gets a lot of compliments. The paint is very nice and worthy of calling it show quality. It does have a few small chips but nothing worth complaining about. Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced such as the glass, stainless trim, bumpers, lights, emblems, etc. The car is wrapped in new American 15” Torque Thrust wheels with 225/70/15 Copper Cobra front tires and 275/60/15 Nitto Extreme Drag rear tires. This car has a mean stance! The black interior is beautiful and in great overall condition. This car originally came with a black interior with bucket seats when it left the factory. This 1968 Chevelle was a great find and the gentleman who owned it thought it was great. When I acquired the car I made a list and so did my service department as we do with every vehicle. Our classic vehicles speak for themselves. I invested $3,357.85 my cost making it even better. This would've cost a retail buyer roughly $5000.00! My reputation means everything to me and this is why my vehicles sell quickly. A complete list of the items listed below in no exact order is listed and also pictured below*** • Performed used car inspection • Change oil and filter • Removed broken fan blade and shortened fan bolts • Cleaned and painted the bottom of the oil pan • Removed distributer and disassembled and set the timing curve and vacuum advance • Replaced carburetor with brand new Holley 750 CFM 4150 series • Repaired interior trim panel and door panel. • Set front end alignment • Removed steering wheel and replaced hub under wheel. Also repaired horn wiring • Replaced marker light bulb • Remove the camshaft assembly and installed a more functional custom made camshaft. Adjusted the valvetrain • Replaced V belt and adjusted all belts • Adjusted clutch linkage • Installed new driver’s side door glass • Replaced leaking thermostat housing • Repaired loose door panel • Replaced spark plugs, coolant, gaskets, etc. • MS CLASSIC CARS FULL CLASSIC CAR DETAIL FROM TOP TO BOTTOM! “Make sure to ask the seller of the vehicle your comparing this 1968 Chevelle to if they have a classic car check list showing a complete inspection of the entire vehicle from top to bottom.” “The 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle was the first year for the new Chevelle design which is one of the most recognized muscle cars of all time. [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport National Award Winning Chevelle SS 396 V8 M20 4 Speed Year: 1966 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Blue Mileage: 60478 Transmission type: 4 Speed Manual Engine: 396 V8 Interior color: Black Vehicle info Like the Bel Air that came before it, the Chevelle was one of those cars Chevrolet aced right out of the gate. Chevrolet's 2014 showroom will be populated by a world class sports car, an egocentric muscle car and a top dog Super Sport. Likewise, Chevrolet's 1966 showroom was populated with a world class sports car, an egocentric pony car and a top dog Chevelle Super Sport. Steadfast, distinguished and great to look at, this real-deal SS396 carries the trademark combination of classic looks and rugged versatility that's built the bowtie brigade into one of the largest brands in the world. The car's no-nonsense nature and big performance was a huge hit with 60s gearheads; and given the recent shift to more traditional hot rodding, a continued rise in popularity is only natural. If you're looking to ride in style, you simply can't go wrong with GM's second generation A-Body. And when you factor in this Chevelle's date-correct big block, fresh restoration and killer color combination, you realize what an incredible car it truly is! As Chevrolet enthusiasts, we all know it can be very hard to prove GM provenance. Fortunately, the folks at USA-1 had the foresight to equip 1966 Chevelles with Super Sport check digits. Here's a detailed look at the car's SS-specific VIN. VIN: 138176Z1289571 Chevrolet38 SS39617 2-door sport coupe6 1966 model yearZ Assembled in Fremont, California128957 Sequential production number The beneficiary of a professional, body-off restoration, this super cool Super Sport is a perfect blend of expert craftsmanship and fine attention to detail. With its solid, rust-free body present and accounted for, the car was carefully massaged into better-than-new condition. Once that highly detailed metal work transitioned from the garage bay to the paint booth, classic 60s panels were covered in stunning Madeira Maroon enamel. When that pigment dried, it was sealed in clear and buffed to a brilliant shine. And today, officially unleashed as the epitome of old school American style, this Chevy is one seriously sweet head turner that's ready to drop jaws and win trophies! Thanks to its unique trim levels and classy appearance, the Chevelle mid-size did an excellent job slotting between Chevrolet's working class Nova and upper class Impala. At the front of this coupe, a correct black grille centers a familiar "SS396" emblem between a finned Super Sport hood, bright halogen headlights and fresh chrome bumper that's complete with small, amber parking lamps. At the sides of those lamps, cross-flag fender emblems and "Super Sport" quarter scripts hint at a sporty personality, while traditional door handles and straight wheel trim perfectly complement textured rocker guards. Opposite those rockers, like-new glass is traced in bright stainless, cleared by satin wipers and reflected in a chrome bowtie mirror. And behind that mirror, "C H E V E L L E SS396" scripts ride between curved tail lights, a second chrome bumper and large stainless exhaust tips. If you wanted a top-of-the-line Chevelle in 1966, you had one option: 396 cubic inches of big block Detroit iron! Rolling out of the restoration shop with a fresh .060 overbore, 325 horsepower and a massive 410 lb./ft. of torque, this Super Sport's date-correct L35 is clean, mean and ready to roar! At the top of the big engine, oxygen is forced through a correctly decaled, single-snorkel air cleaner into a rebuilt, 1969 carburetor and date-correct intake manifold. At the sides of that intake, spotless chrome valve covers reflect fresh AC Delco Premium wires above date-correct heads and fully restored exhaust manifolds. At the back of those valve covers, a date-correct distributor rides between a new coil, a rebuilt wiper motor and a fresh brake booster. And, opposite that distributor, a heavy duty radiator sends coolant around a shrouded fan via pliable GM hoses and familiar tower clamps. Naturally, the car's glossy engine bay, which consists of black fenders and a Madeira Maroon firewall, is 100% detailed and looks great. Its Chevy Orange block features the usual array of stainless lines and chrome ancillary pieces. And everything from the car's optional power steering to its rebuilt air conditioning system displays the kind of excellent attention to detail that ensures both big points and great performance. Logging mere test miles since its 2013 rebirth, this 'better-than-new' Chevy marries Madeira Maroon floors to a super clean chassis. The massaged big block twists power to a rebuilt 12-bolt rear end via an aluminum Powerglide transmission. That killer drivetrain is held off the ground by a glossy black suspension that's been completely restored to factory specifications. Optional power steering combines with rebuilt power front disc and rear drum brakes to provide greatly improved turns and modern car stops. At the center of the floors, the big engine's restored manifolds dump spent gases into an aluminized, true-dual exhaust system that's complete with welded, dual-chamber mufflers. At the corners of the floors, Madeira Maroon wheels spin 225/70R15 BF Goodrich Silvertown Radials around classy Chevrolet hub caps. And naturally, the bottom of this first class Chevelle is as pristine as it is spotless; with everything from the car's fresh stainless fuel tank to its Chevy Orange oil pan completely detailed for both show and go! Open the freshly finished doors and you'll find factory grade vinyl that's simple yet sporty. Front and center, a duo of firm bench seats feature lightly pleated covers and correct Fisher lap belts. In front of those seats, a slick, maroon dash hangs brand new gauges and a direct-fit radio between a warp-free pad and large Pioneer kick speakers. On the floors, stain-free carpet anchors thick rubber floor mats between stainless Fisher sills. Opposite that carpet, a tight headliner founds a fully functional dome lamp behind new visors and a bright chrome mirror. At the sides of the car, new door panels center new chrome handles and modernist stainless trim below body-matched frames. In front of the driver, a color-keyed steering wheel spins a subtle horn ring around a polished and "CHEVELLE" branded hub. And behind the passengers, a fully restored trunk features a new mat, new decals, a correct jack and a full-size spare tire. The sale of this sinister coupe includes a stack of restoration receipts. Fully restored and professionally sorted, this stunning Chevelle is a top notch classic that's ready for years of shows and miles of smiles. It's one of the last great no-nonsense, no-frills designs to come out of Detroit; and it's the kind of car your family can enjoy for generations. Whether your interest lies in killer cruisers, classic good looks or vintage Mo-town style, this Chevy has it all!
