The 1955 second series offered standardoptions and add-ons such as 12-volt electrical systems, the first V8, andfleet-side 6-foot, 7-foot, and 8-foot-length beds. 1955 was the firstyear for the new body style. New "wrap-around" windshield was a truckindustry first, and an optional wrap-around rear window for Deluxe cabs. 1957was the only year for more open grille. The hood is flatter with two spears ontop, similar to the 1957 Bel Air. Fender emblems are still above the fenderline, but are now oval-shaped, as opposed to previous versions in script.
