G80 Positraction, highway 3.31:1 ring and pinion as well as many other factory options. THIS is a 1 of ONLY 231 LS6 cars exported to Canada for 1970 as confirmed by the accompanying Canada Historical Documentation. Finished in its original Cranberry Red over Black example was built at the Kansas City Missouri Assembly Plant. It was sold NEW at Don Wheaton, LTD Chevrolet Dealer in Edmonton, Alberta. A recent no expense spared frame off restoration on this fully matching numbers engine/drivetrain car. Complete with its full documentation of build sheet showing this as a REAL and TRUE LS6 Chevelle in its very desirable 4 speed build.The most powerful big block engine that Chevy produced for 1970 was the 450 hp LS6. Available only in the Chevelle, it had four-bolt mains, large-port/large valve cylinder heads, solid lifters, a low rise aluminum intake manifold and Holley four-barrel carburetor. Cowl induction, which gave the engine a breath of cold air, was a separate option designated ZL2. It came with functional hood pins and body stripes. Some have suggested that the LS6 was under-rated; actually producing as much as 500 hp, citing empirical evidence on competition cars. In any case, it was Chevy's most powerful 1970 production engine.The bright work is all very good. The engine compartment and undercarriage are absolutely spotless.
