My dad's southern california 1997 Chevy Silverado is finally for sale... He babied this thing! It's Black, 275k miles, 5.7L V8 SFI, mechanically it's near perfect. Fires right up and runs hard. Paint is a little oxidized, AC needs replacement, the tailgate latch needs a swap, and the rear main has a slow leak (that could be repaired for $400) Other then those flaws it's a GREAT truck. It's the perfect work truck cared for by a Chevy lover. I live by the beach and it's to difficult to park/own three cars. It's an emotional farewell but it needs a new home and a great owner. This 1990 chevy 454 SS truck was locally owned here in northeast Iowa and traded in from the previous owner as he could not drive any longer. This truck was pampered by the previous owner and is extremely clean. It was his pride and joy. The last few years he only drove it to local car shows and our local parade here in town in july. It has been kept in his heated garage when not used. As the video shows, the body is very clean with no rust or major blemish I can see. I was told the interior was never smoked in. The interior is very clean. I noticed a minor headliner sag in a spot (easily fixed any upholstery shop). At one time there was a mild tasteful ghost flame effect applied and clear coated on the front, it is a light charcoal color and It looks awesome on the truck! I took the truck on a 100 mile local car club fundraiser and it rode and drove like a dream. The E brake light stays on once in a while (probally the sensor) the brakes work great on the truck. The 454 engine v8 ran great with no smoke knocks or misses. tires look good as well as the wheels. The truck has the visor that sets the truck off well and a bed cover/tonough that fits like it should. This is a truck you can fly in and drive home or I can help recommend shippers I have used in the past who have been very reasonable. As you know, these trucks are pretty rare and they are really becoming a highly sought after collector truck. I do not want to over call this truck or under call it, let the video and pics tell the story. I set the reserve well below what the market dictates these true 454 SS at, only bid if you are serious about owning it. The miles are 90394 and I believe them to be actual but as the truck is over ten years old, it is sold miles exempt. The plates on the truck do not go with the sale as they are my personal plates I used for the car cruise I took it on. the owners manual and any papers pictured go with the truck. As everyone has their own opinion on what a classic truck should be, I recommend coming yourself to check out the truck at my dealership teddys auto sales in waukon or hire ebay to do a independant inspection for you. The side exit exhaust looks great and sounds incredible. The glass is all in GREAT condition. The doors open and close as they should to reveal NICE panel gaps. The custom hood adds a bit of aggressive look that goes along with the rest of the truck well. It has been custom striped to add a bit of accent. The custom wheels and tires have about 150 miles on them and the deep dish looks GREAT. The front rotors are slotted. This truck has been very well maintained and pictures really do it NO justice! Under the hood is ALLOT of detail as well and the paint shows just as nice as the exterior! A huge 454 rests between the fenders with Merlin square port heads. This truck has so much low end power it is incredible! You really have to be careful not to blow the tires when getting into the gas! It starts, runs and drives VERY WELL! The interior is original besides the color match doors and dash. The paint on the interior shines just as nice as the exterior! It has a custom stereo with two 10in subs behind the seat and all component speakers have been upgraded as well! The bass and sound quality are incredible! This was the 1st place winner of The World of Wheels Show 2 years in a row Best of Show, Best Paint plus several other shows and awards including Best off road, Best interior, along with Classic Truck Magazine among other awards and articles. To say this is a show truck is a understatement. This custom professional built 1970 Chevrolet 4x4 Pickup has undergone a complete frame off nut and bolt restoration, we have several pictures of the restoration process. I have had some very nice trucks over the years, but this one is one of the best I have seen. The truck was in southern Indiana until the frame off was started. It is a very nice truck for anyone to show or enjoy. This is a 1970 Chevy K-10 pickup with a 468ci big block, rebuilt 3-speed TH400 trans with a 2800 TCI stall converter with a Hurst floor shifter. This truck makes a lot of torque and will turn over the big 40’s with no problem, 14 bolt corporate axles, 4:11 gears, Detroit locker in rear and a 20 gallon fuel cell. It has 6” Bushwhacker flares and custom made front and rear bumpers and 130 watt KC lights built in with 6” chromoly drops to obtain an legal ride height. Please take time to look at all the pictures this truck shows very well and is nicer then the pictures show. This truck is very nice inside, out, and underneath. It was fully frame-off restored and finished around the fall of 2007. Basically everything on the truck is either new or rebuilt nothing was left untouched. The paint is over the top custom and looks fabulous with custom leather tan and burgundy to match interior, the Orange over Burgundy with Tan flame in leather like paint stripe the break the two colors and 4 coats of House of Kolor clear, color combo is stunning. The truck has a very high quality paint job on it and is very straight down the sides with no showing of age. No rust issues with this truck. Before it was painted, the truck was completely disassembled and sandblasted clean. All chrome and trim is absolutely beautiful and is all new, the trunk is done very nice, as is the interior is and looks very nice. The drive train is fresh also, the motor and trans has been rebuilt and has runs very nice and drives like a truck. It also has power steering and power disc brakes. The truck has all new glass. The bed is like new and looks beautiful with the custom made burgundy bed rug. New 40” Goodyear Wrangler tires have been mounted on Ultra 17x10 custom wheels. The complete ceramic coated 3.5” Flowmaster exhaust with Hooker headers sounds great with a great purr. Like everything else, the interior is completely done and better than new. It has the custom leather bench seat interior. Dash, door panels, headliner, sun visors, Clarion AM/FM/CD, with 4 speakers 2 behind the seat where the old gas tank was in a custom made box, etc everything is very nice. This truck is clean everywhere you look, great for a collector, parade, local cruise-ins and national shows and will get a trophy or two, I would encourage anyone who wants to buy this truck to come and inspect this car it looks better in person than the pictures show. Most of these trucks ended up working for a living, but judging from the looks of this one, any trace of a possible tradesman's past has been erased. It's a very clean and solid truck, with a lot of nice upgrades that make it ideal for local shows and cruise nights...and maybe even a few off-road adventures. The paint is there to grab attention, so it's nice to see it so well-applied over some pretty straight bodywork. Hugger Orange was the way Chevy muscle cars intimidated others off the streets, and this one is worthy of that heritage, but more on that in a moment. All of the original stainless trim is in place and looks great, from the wide grille, all the way to the back bumper. The only addition seems to be the bright steps on both sides to help you and your passengers cope with the monster truck ride height. This is a long bed pickup, so it still has the ability to go to work. That's why there's flat black paint in the bed, and a grippy rubber coating to the top of the back bumper. These Chevy trucks had an interesting interior, where the controls surrounded the driver like a sports car. This customized 4x4 continues with this tradition by keeping the full gauge package, and adding some nice upgrades. The condition of the bench seat suggests a quality restoration, and just behind it are dual sealed subwoofers connected to a modern AM/FM/CD stereo. While this is to make the driving experience even that more fun in this aggressive-looking truck, the most intimating sound will always be coming out of your dual exhaust. One look at the engine bay, and you'll know why this pickup is worth every penny, and more. It's a 383 cubic-inch stroker motor with BluePrint aluminum heads, Edelbrock intake, MSD ignition, and headers. So while this Chevy has an amazing bark, it has the bite to back it up too. Even more important is the torque produced by this performance V8. Add in the lift kit, upgraded shocks, and deep-ridged Pro Comp Xtreme tires on Ion Alloy wheels, and you have the perfect recipe to never need pavement again if you choose. But on a more practical side, this one is not hard to take on the highways either, with features such as the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes. Look over all the pictures, including the undercarriage. A 4x4 truck isn't this clean and pristine unless there was some serious money invested in its restoration.
