Or maybe it's just because their owners love them so much they're unwilling to let them go. Whatever the reason, it's easy to see why these trucks remain perennial favorites for off-road fans. The chiseled good looks are obviously based on the pickup trucks, but there's so much more to a Blazer than just a pickup with a cap. The proportions are exactly right and when rendered in white, it's a big, high-visibility piece of 4x4 hardware that looks tough enough to climb a mountain. It appears that this one is still wearing original paint, which will give you a very good indication of how well-maintained it really is. The contrasting dark blue lower rocker panel areas make it look a lot sleeker and the white painted top gives it a unified look, unlike the usual black top that can be jarring to look at. Nice chrome and stainless trim give the Blazer an upscale look and this later example has the desirable stacked headlights up front. The blue interior looks straight out of the 1980s, and that's not a bad thing. New seat covers match the original velour material and patterns and work well with things like the original door panels and carpet. It's got a few signs of use, but overall this truck continues to impress us with its preservation. The gauges still offer bright markings, the back seat looks almost completely unused, and even the cargo area shows well. Features include factory A/C, power windows and locks, a tilt wheel, and the original AM/FM/cassette stereo system with big speakers in the cargo bay. The top is indeed removable and there's something special about a topless blazer on a sunny day, making it easy to imagine taking this truck to the beach or to your favorite remote spot. There's a full-sized spare on board, so you never have to worry about getting stranded with a flat. The engine is GM's tried-and-true 350 cubic inch V8 with throttle body fuel injection (TBI). It's easy to spot with that unique air cleaner and the engine bay is shockingly clean for a 30-year-old truck. Despite being a 350 Chevy, it's completely stock, so it starts easily and runs smoothly with good torque that moves the big truck without ever feeling like it's working hard. Backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission, this big 4x4 actually does pretty well on the highway and with a 2-speed transfer case and heavy-duty axles, it also has the hardware to crawl through some pretty rough terrain. The exhaust has a pleasant V8 sound that's muted enough to make this a favorite long-distance cruiser and it sits right on factory wheels with big 31x10.50-15 white-letter off-road radials that fill the wheel wells perfectly. Up for sale is a 1970 two wheel drive (conversion) Chevy K-5 Blazer. This beautiful blazer was originally a 4wd but professionally converted at a custom shop in central California. Was purchased in California and is in NorthEastern Arizona.This blazer is rust free and in great shape. Could use some work on the fiberglass top and someone could add a vintage air conditioner as it currently has NO AIR CONDITIONING. I planned on upgrading the current V8 (350) engine to an LS3 and planned on adding the air conditioner back. It came with factory air but it was removed for some reason. The heater core also was deleted and they shaved the firewall. Top ironing, heater and air work and that it!Paint and interior are real decent and it runs and drives great. Just took it out yesterday and it ran fantastic as always. Still sports the original AM radio and has an Alpine stereo under the dash with amplified speakers and 12" whoofers. Stereo system was 1,500Steering wheel $600 and a thousand dollar pair of stainless steel polished headers. 22" Rev DESCRIPTION:CLASSIC 100 ANTHRACITE RIM by REV WHEELS: REV Wheels Classic 100 anthracite wheels. A Classic 5-spoke design that is accented by the difference between the anthracite center and the polished lip - a combination not often seen in this style of wheels. ...Time has come , like all my other stuff , need to take a break and concentrate on invest on kid College Expenses , Bank loan interest is too high ... Kid will thank me later...hope so , kid is smart and is doing great ...plan was to take it with me overseas , but , plans changed , had a lot of fun on weekends waxing it , never saw snow (one rain day ) , or drove offroad , was built for show and was pampered from previous owner , very detail oriented ( had a scratch on door when i bought it , about an inch , he refuse to fix it so he bought a new door , did not want a patch job , spare door is included as well as several Xtra parts , including spare rim (still in box ) as well as spare tire (without rim ) (on Nov 7 just got a flat tire and tire was replaced )as well as brand new spare wheel and another tyre (pictures) , engine is not the original one , but a Edelbrock built engine with about , maybe 40k miles , only Synthetic oil changes , every spring , after taking it from storage , only saw rain once ( have pictures to prove it ...) then found out wipers were not working (bought a brand new assembly) ...had to exchange the amazing sound system set up because my son locked the car and start playing with it ...about to go deaf or break the glass ...so i bought a tv/dvd player , and had the system (Kenwood) disconnected (not happy with service as i suspect he damaged the windshield control and playing with wires on console jammed the heat control settings ...) but is a matter of taking all back , reinstalling the sound system and clearing the jam, as i do not drive on extreme weather , either hot or cold or rain , never felt any difference , up to new owner (installer told me he felt a sweet smell inside from heater core , so i just made a direct connection and was planning to ..one day , fix the whole thing ...but , didnt do it yet , a nice weekend project to next owner . has and after market alarm system and door lock , that i disconnected because could drain batery by only driving it 7months a year on weekends , its under dash , by door on driver side , on my end , kept always garaged and clean , waxed , was a pleasure wish wifes were like cars ...doh ..., changed suspension parts , brakes are fairly new , had quarter panels 'line- X' sprayed , before fixing scratch (lol) , run some racing fuel through system ever year and always passed inspection , although 'chipped' . Wearing a cool period-correct color scheme and upgraded rolling stock, it has a fantastic look and with a robust small block and a long list of options, this is the one to own if you're looking for an early Chevy SUV. If someone described this truck to you, you'd probably not picture this gorgeous orange and white combination with a black hardtop, you have to admit that it's downright spectacular. Thanks to a full rotisserie restoration, the truck is probably better than new in most of the ways that matter, with a high-quality paint job that simply glows. Factory paint never looked like this and with crisp masking lines, excellent gaps, and a ton of block sanding under the paint, this might just be the nicest Blazer we've ever featured. The removable top still proposes having fun in the sun and with a roof rack, this is a truck that'll go anywhere and do anything you're interested in doing. Great chrome, nice badges, and oversized side mirrors that have been painted black to match the top all help give this truck a fantastic look. The black interior has also been treated to a no-holds-barred restoration, including fresh leather seat covers on the front buckets and rear bench, new black carpets, and door panels that are so crisply rendered that they have to be new, too. There's a surprising amount of woodgraining inside, all of which still shows remarkably well, giving the big SUV a rather upscale feel. Options include factory A/C and the original AM radio, which seems to be the only thing on the truck that wasn't fully restored. There's a broad center console for convenience and while the shift lever for the TH350 3-speed automatic transmission is on the steering column, the 4-wheel-drive system is managed by a floor-mounted lever. The cargo bay is dominated by a full-sized spare with its own cover, but there's still lots of room for your gear and it's all covered in more black carpet to give it a very finished look. This is the original, numbers-matching 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood and it will prove to be more than adequate for getting this Blazer anywhere you need to go. Rebuilt to stock specs, it's all about the torque and still uses a factory air cleaner, 4-barrel carburetor, and cast iron exhaust manifolds to do it. The A/C system was upgraded to R134a refrigerant and all the ancillary parts are new, including belts, hoses, fasteners, and even the power brake booster and master cylinder. The TH350 3-speed automatic transmission shifts easily and feeds a 2-speed transfer case and a pair of beefy axles: a Dana 44 up front and a GM 12-bolt out back. The chassis is fully detailed with body-colored floors framing a semi-gloss chassis with red oxide primer on the mechanicals and a new dual exhaust system. New lines, hoses, and a fresh gas tank out back ensure reliability in the brush and big 265/75/16 Cooper off-road radials and 16-inch MB alloys give it a great 4x4 stance.
