Sorry to say but the buyer was unable to come up with the funds to pay for the car. So this is a second chance to bid on this Impala This is your chance to own a true Cal custom car. The car was built in the mid 80s by Javier Majia called " the Metalflake Man " in cal. The front and rear have been greatly modified. The front has a custom grill with over 80 chrome bullets. The lights are new Holgon Tri bars. The rear has been reshaped and has 8 tail lights. The car is painted metalflake silver with "House of Color " candy magenta panels. There are a couple of road chips in the paint, but could be easyly touched up. The Impala also has a very nice pinstripe. The 60 has had the door handles removed and now have electric poppers. The gas filler has been relocated in the trunk. The exhaust now exits thru Bellflower pipes mounted on thesides. The car rides on Ultra Supreme wheels and mounted with Broadway classic P 205- 75 / R14 tires. The power Brakes are all new drums shoes steal and rubber lines are all new the buooster and master cylender afr newly chromed The car was professionally rewired. The interior is all white rolled and pleated and is good condition. The dash is covered in white fur like the old days. This chevy has a Ididit tilt steering column. the stock gauge pods have been chromed This Impala is powered by a 348 chevy engine with a 350 turbo trans, and is shifted with a Locar shifter. I belive the rear end is stock. The engine has polished alu ribbed valve covers and air cleaner This custom has been seen in Rodders Journal and in the cars Inc calender. It also has been in the Detroit Autorama. I was pleased to recive the trophy for the best Metalflake at the Detroit Billetproof show. The car is as is where is. Offering my 1966 Impala 6 passenger wagon. If you are looking at this listing you already know how hot wagons are and how tough is it to find one that hasn't been beat to death or left out to die. Scan the ebay listings and look at the price of wagons from the 50's and its easy to see where this trend is going. Most of these "family trucksters" were passed down through the family and rolled out to pasture when SUV's hit the scene. Many more were sacrificed in the demolition derbies. Its' just not that easy to find a good one. Everybody has a Camaro, Mustang or Chevelle! In the November issue of American Car Collector on page 56 in their Market Overview they stated "Longroofs are where it's at" and noted several fairly common wagons selling for huge money. The trend for wagons is going straight up. Look at what happened to Muscle Cars and pick ups. The author Tony Piff summarizes his story with "They"ll probably never be cheaper than they are at this moment". " If you have any interest in these cars (wagons), now is the time to buy". This wagon spent it's entire life in sunny California and as you can see, it has a beautiful west coast sunburn. There is NO rust or body filler anywhere on the car. The chassis and underside are perfect. Never any patches or repairs of any kind. It is rock solid and smooth. Not even rust scale! It runs perfect with the matching numbers 300 HP 327 with factory double hump heads and a four barrel Quadrajet. It is a factory air car but the compressor was removed prior to my ownership. I removed the brackets and sand blasted them before I painted them. They are boxed for the new owner with the factory AIR injection parts. The engine starts easily and does not smoke or use oil. I have just invested thousands of dollars into this car to make it safe and reliable for family fun. It has tons of new stuff in just the last two months. I just replaced the starter and ignition switch, new exhaust from manifolds back with all new gaskets, new valve cover gaskets, new plugs, new radiator, freshly restored aluminum case powerglide with all new internals just this week!, new shocks, new battery, new tinted windshield, new carpet, new 18" and 20" wheels and tires and many other updates. I also have a brand new headliner in the correct material along with new windlace that is ready to be installed. All of the gauges work perfectly including the clock. The radio is not hooked up but was tested and does appear to work. The car has good heat and defrost. Factory AC is all there except the compressor so it is not working at this time. All your turn signals, brake lights, windshield wipers and power rear window work as designed. No issues! Look over the pictures. All the trim is present, bumpers are factory and in great condition. Paint is factory finish with a couple of very minor, very old touch ups. No filler that I can see anywhere! The interior has new carpet. The seats appear original but may have been redone (they seem awfully nice for 49 years old). Very presentable and factory in appearance, minor blemishes on the drivers seat back . Current headliner is not the correct pattern and is a little loose. I bought the correct one but have not installed it yet. Sun visors, gauges and cluster look very nice. All the dash lights work. All gauges work. This is a totally turn-key car and is very well sorted. Fly in and drive home! Depending on where you are located I might even be able to deliver it for a small fee. This is a real California black plate car and is still on the original California title so the plates will stay with the car and if you live in California, you can just update the registration and keep them on it. I do have the original owners manual and the Protect o plate. California black plates will stay with the car. NO RESERVE!!1960 Chevrolet Impala Chop-Top CustomI am selling my 1960 Chevrolet Impala Hard top (not convertible) Chop-Top Custom street car! We @ P&H Motors purchased the car after it had suffered fire damage under the hood. The the best we could work out ; it seems whoever originally ran the wires, crossed the throttle linkage which caused the wires to spark fuel from the carburetor and burn the carburetor and distributor. Because of this previous damage the Impala is being sold with a PA salvage Certificate. We at P&H ran new wires to the motor, put a new Holley carburetor on, new starter, new spark plug wires and a new distributor. The Impala now starts/runs/drives and just needs to be finished back to 100% !! It is currently wired to run but will need a new harness under the dash to run accessories and gauges. All of the harnesses could be purchased from painless wiring company. It will need a new windshield installed however it is a factory piece of Impala glass just lowered into the cowl of the car and than tilted back to line up with the chopped top. We have also primered the painted areas damaged by the fire on the hood and fire wall. The Impala has a 327 small block w/ a turbo 350 Automatic transmission. While driving it around the block, it seems the Turbo 350 also has a shift kit installed! Everywhere I drove this car i was stopped by people to take pictures or talk about it! Just a cool looking, fun car to have and drive. The car has received a frame off restoration at one point in time, where every single component was either painted, powder coated or replaced with stainless hardware. It has a front disc conversion with Wilwood proportioning valve, and sway bars! The interior is also completely custom with nicely upholstered newer styled bucket seats, center console with power window/trunk switches and door poppers, factory style gauge cluster/dash and custom upholstered trim paneling and trunk compartment! We could not get the door poppers to function on demand but will pop the doors every once in a while. It's currently rigged to a wire to release the door latch. This car has received a ton of custom touches already and just needs a little bit of TLC to make it back to the showstopper ones with us!The car is located in Hatboro, PA 19040 if anyone is interested in seeing/driving the vehicle before making an offer.
